In this paper, we investigate the notion of error correction memory applied to technical texts. The main purpose is to introduce flexibility and context sensitivity in the detection and the correction of errors related to Constrained Natural Language (CNL) principles. This is realized by enhancing error detection paired with relatively generic correction patterns and contextual correction recommendations. Patterns are induced from previous corrections made by technical writers for a given type of text. The impact of such an error correction memory is also investigated from the point of view of the technical writer's cognitive activity. The notion of error correction memory is developed within the framework of the LELIE project an experiment is carried out on the case of fuzzy lexical items and negation, which are both major problems in technical writing. Language processing and knowledge representation aspects are developed together with evaluation directions.

본 논문은 유비쿼터스 컴퓨팅 환경에서의 강의실 자동화를 실현하기 위한 서비스 제어 구조와 사용자 인터페이스를 설계한다. 서비스 제어를 위하여 UPnP 프로토콜을 기반으로한 서비스 제어구조를 제안하고 강의실에서의 서비스 시나리오를 설계하고 이를 위한 사용자 인터페이스를 설계하였다. 제안한 유비쿼터스 환경에서의 미래의 강의실 환경은 상황인지 컴퓨팅 능력을 이용하여 이용자에게 적응적인 사용자 인터페이스를 제어하고 사용자의 동작 이벤트를 인지하여 지능적인 강의 콘텐츠의 제작을 가능하게 함을 보여준다.

인터넷 상에서 사용자들에 의해 생성되는 위치기반 컨텐츠의 종류와 형태가 관련 서비스와 함께 다양해지고 있다. 본 논문은 이러한 컨텐츠를 위한 컨텐츠 중심 네트워킹의 구조(Framework)를 제시한다. 제안하는 컨텐츠 중심 네트워킹 구조는 3가지 구성요소로 이루어진다. 가장 기반이 되는 첫 번째 요소는 Context에 기반한 컨텐츠 명명(Content Naming)이고, 두 번째 구성요소는 컨텐츠 중심의 네트워킹의 핵심 구성 요소인 캐쉬의 운용을 위한 메타 알고리즘이다. 마지막 구성요소로서 위치기반 컨텐츠에 대한 요청 및 획득을 위한 전달 메타 알고리즘을 제시한다.

Many overlay texts are artificially superimposed on the broadcasting videos by humans. These texts provide additional information to the audiovisual content. Especially, the overlay text in news videos contains concise and direct description of the content. Therefore, it is most reliable clue for constructing a news video indexing system. To make the automatic person indexing of interview video in the TV news program, this paper proposes the method to only detect the name text line among the whole overlay texts in one frame. The experimental results on Korean television news videos show that the proposed framework efficiently detects the overlaid name text line.

The effective extraction of key frames from a video stream is an essential task for summarizing and representing the content of a video. Accordingly, this paper proposes a new and fast method for extracting key frames from a compressed video. In the proposed approach, after the entire video sequence has been segmented into elementary content units, called shots, key frame extraction is performed by first assigning the number of key frames to each shot, and then distributing the key frames over the shot using a probabilistic approach to locate the optimal position of the key frames. The main advantage of the proposed method is that no time-consuming computations are needed for distributing the key frames within the shots and the procedure for key frame extraction is completely automatic. Furthermore, the set of key frames is independent of any subjective thresholds or manually set parameters.

This study presents a comprehensive solution to the collection management, which is based on the model for Cultural Objects (CCO). The developed system manages and spreads the collections that are safeguarded in museums and galleries more easily by using IT. In particular, we present our approach for a non-structured search and recovery of the objects based on the annotation of artwork images. In this methodology, we have introduced a faceted search used as a framework for multi-classification and for exploring/browsing complex information bases in a guided, yet unconstrained way, through a visual interface.

Knowledge Management (KM) is a collaborative and integrated approach adopted at various levels to ensure that an organization's knowledge assets are best utilized to increase organizational performance. While KM has been adopted in a large number of sectors and organizations, colleges and universities, and the higher education sector in general, is yet to take full advantage of the possibilities offered by KM. Also, while past research has sought to highlight the importance of implementing KM in higher education, there is a lack of a single, clear template for KM implementation that universities leaders and administrators can adopt. The contribution of the paper is a practical, actionable, step-by-step plan, as well as a diagrammatic, theoretical framework for initiating KM successfully in colleges and universities.

This article examines the utilization of e-resources Modibbo Adama University of Technology, (MAUTech) Yola under the auspices of the central library, the Ibrahim Babangida Library. Academics and students are primary users of information resources of any library, hence, their responses towards the utilization of e-resources in the institution have been critically considered in this study. A Mixed method research Design was adopted for the study. A case study approach was employed. The Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) and Diffusion of Innovation (DoI) theories were used to develop the conceptual framework of this paper. Questionnaires were used as data gathering tools. Academics and students acted as participants. Major findings are lack of sufficient Internet access for academics and students and lack of training and awareness campaigns. Conclusion has shown that e-resources did not impact research and teaching of academics in MAUTech, Yola.

This study was conducted to study on 1) What is nursing students' experience of ethical problems involving nursing practice\ulcorner 2) What is nursing students' experience of using ethical decision-making models\ulcorner Method: In order to answer these two questions, we selected 97 senior baccalaureate nursing students from two Korean universities using a conceptual framework and method of content analysis. Result: From 97 ethical problems emerged five content categories, the largest being ethical problems involving health professionals (69%); the basic nature of the nursing students' experience of ethical problems consisted of conflict, resolution, and rationale; 94% of the students stated that using an ethical decision- making model was helpful. Conclusion: Although additional research is needed, these findings have important implications for nursing ethics education and practice.
