  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to test the reliability and validity of an MIL instrument for adolescents. Method: The research design was a three-phase, methodological study. 1) The original 46 items of the Meaning in Life (MIL) Scale were reviewed and corrected partially by 20 adolescents. 2) The content was validated by an expert panel (n=15) and adolescents (n=5). 3) The instrument was validated by survey (n=468). Finally, 33 items were chosen for the adolescents meaning in life(AMIL) scale. Results: Cronbach's alpha coefficient of the 33 items was .92, confirming the high internal consistency of the instrument. 2) Eight factors were extracted through factor analysis: 'experience of love', 'making efforts for goal', 'awareness of essential being', 'awareness of self limitation', 'feeling of satisfaction', 'relation experience', 'positive thinking', and 'hope'. These factors explained 58.26% of the total variance. Conclusion: AMIL Scale was identified as a tool with a high degree of reliability and validity. The tool can therefore be effectively utilized to assess the degree of meaning of life in caring areas for adolescents. Studies on AMIL of different adolescent subjects are needed for further verification.

  • Purpose: This study presents a translation, cultural adaptation, and psychometric evaluation of two instruments of the Fertility Awareness and Attitudes Towards Parenthood (FAAP) questionnaire (Conditions and Life changes) for use in South Korea. Methods: This methodological study included 166 university students for psychometric evaluation in the sixth step. The first five steps included forward translation, backward translation, committee review, assessment of content validity, and a pre-test. In the sixth step, psychometric properties, including internal consistency, construct validity, and criterion validity, were evaluated. Exploratory factor analysis and confirmatory factor analysis were conducted to identify the structure of the tool and to assess its validity. Results: The Korean version showed acceptable internal consistency. Cronbach's α was .73 for FAAP-Conditions and .83 for FAAP-Life changes. FAAP-Conditions showed a four-factor structure (social conditions, relationship with partner, external environment, and child-rearing support) and FAAP-Life changes had a two-factor structure (reward and burden). In the confirmatory analysis, CMIN/DF, TLI, IFI, SRMR, CFI, and RMSEA were satisfactory. Conclusion: This study provided preliminary evidence of the acceptability, reliability, and validity of the Korean version of the FAAP questionnaire in university students in South Korea. Nonetheless, further evaluation among Korean young adults is warranted to validate this instrument.

  • Purpose: The is study aimed to examine the impact of consumer ethnocentrism on reasoned action and brand equity on Generation Z in Vietnam. Research design, data and methodology: A quantitative study was undertaken on 302 Generation Z members. The data for the study was collected using a Google Form-based questionnaire from December 2021 to January 2022. Descriptive statistics, Cronbach's alpha, and structural equation modeling were among the data analysis techniques employed. The results: The results show that consumer ethnocentrism has a direct positive impact on reasoned action (subjective norms and attitude toward domestic goods) as well as an indirect positive impact on brand equity, including brand awareness, brand quality, and brand image. Major findings: According to the findings of this study, governments should continue to push propaganda and advocacy programs, call for national pride and encourage home consumers to support and use domestic goods. Domestic brands must strengthen their ties to the community and invest in community-oriented programs that promote domestic consumption. Vietnam's domestic fashion brands need to promote the exploitation of community-oriented and nationalistic content to call on domestic consumers to support them to consume domestic brands.

  • The purpose of this study is to draw implications for designing online tools to support monitoring in collaborative learning. For this purpose, eighteen research papers that explored learner dashboards and group awareness tools were analyzed. The driving questions for this analysis related to the information and outcomes that must be monitored, whose performance they represent, and who monitors the extent of learning. The analytical frameworks used for this study included the following: three modes of co-regulation in terms of who regulates whose learning (self-regulation in collaborative learning, other regulation, and socially shared regulation) and four categories of dashboard information to determine which information is monitored (information about preparation, participation, interaction, and achievements). As a result, five design implications for learner dashboards that support monitoring were posited: a) Monitoring tools for collaborative learning should support multiple targets: the individual learner, peers, and the entire group; b) When supporting personal monitoring, information about the individual and peers should be displayed simultaneously to allow direct comparison; c) Information on collaborative learning achievements should be provided in terms of the content of knowledge acquired rather than test scores; d) In addition to information related to interaction between learners, the interaction between learners and learning materials can also be provided; and e) Presentation of the same information to individuals or groups should be variable.

  • Utilizing spaces for awareness could be superficially noble. However, the typology of spaces played an important role in addressing the awareness of translating the messages through tangible forms, which in this context are sculptures. Assuring the efficacy of the typology of the spaces that is compatible with the content is important to ensure its timelessness to the dynamic demographical change of viewers. Therefore, the study proposes an investigation of the efficacy of typology of public urban space; garden that accommodates memorial sculptures. The study intends to analyze the features and flaws of ASEAN Sculpture Garden, as a mediatory role of ASEAN in instilling awareness of unity between ASEAN members to the public. The objective of the study is to analyze the efficacy of the garden to accommodate the rich memorial sculptures. The body of the research is formed by theoretical and case study research. It is projected by three methods; archival research, semi structured interviews and site documentation; direct observations and site visit. The qualitative data then will be analysed using Actor Network theory, keyword coding and site findings. Findings showed that as the main objective of the garden is to exhibit the sculptures, it could be summed up that it has failed to meet the apparent intention based on the site analysis conducted by the researcher. The typology of the space should be able to communicate the project's aims continuously rather than serving the function temporarily. The variables, which are space and time factors are debatable, as the neighboring tourist spot, National Monument residing the wide square managed to attract public attention due to its great efficacy of typological space regardless the time factor. As a conclusion, the typology of space is a huge factor to ensure the park's success.

  • This research aims to collect informations which is necessary to develop a curriculum for the environmental education of elementary and secondary schools. We developed a questionnaire concerning the present situations of environmental education in schools and needs assessment items about environmental education. The questionnaire were distributed to a sample of elementary and secondary school teachers with diverse grades and locations. The results of our reserch are as fellows: 1. The awareness of key concepts related to environment problems. They are not aware of ecological interdependence but just focus on the result of environmental deterioration 2. The awareness of importance of environmental education: Teachers prefer campaigns or legislations to environmental education. They want to take an Immediate action rather than a fundmental method like education in order to solve environmental problems 3. The awareness of relationships between environmental problems and natural or man-made circumstances: Most teachers emphasize recycle and reuse of the materials such as batteries, papers, plastics, cans. and bottles. but do not teach the importance of ecology. Only science and environment teachers do. 4. Environmentalism or ecology? Ideally teachers accept the importance of ecology, but in reality they cohoose environmentalism. 5. On the content and method of environmental education: Teachers insist that both environmental instruction and practical, first-hand experience should be given to not only elementary but secondary students, and that most of subject matters should deal with environmental issues. 6. On the situations and tasks of environmental education: School teachers indicate that they could not instill positive patterns of conduct toward environment in students. They think that both insufficient in-service training about environment and cooperation among teachers themselves are partially responsible for it.

  • This study examined the awareness, satisfaction, and usage patterns of 257 elementary school teachers for food labeling in Busan. The survey was conducted from April 15 to June 20, 2020, by questionnaires. The perception degree of food labeling was higher in female teachers than in male teachers and did not differ significantly among age groups. The score of the understanding degree was highest in their 20s and lowest in their 30s. The degree demand in their 50s was higher than in their 30s and 40s. The reliability degree in their 20s was higher than that of those in their 40s and 50s. The verification degree and satisfaction degree did not differ significantly with age or gender. The primary reason to check food labeling was 'to confirm harmful additives (31.9%)'. Among those in their 20s and 30s, the major reason for reviewing nutrition labeling was 'nutrient', while it was 'health improvement' was most important in those in their 40s and 50s. Of the subjects, 31.1% reported that the reason for the difficulty in understanding the label was 'various forms and the small letters'. The demand for the content was highest in trans fats. Apporximately 32.3% of the teachers were educated for food labeling; 42.4% of them taught food labeling, and 62.7% of them recognized the necessity of food labeling teaching. A correlation was observed between the demand for food labeling and understanding (r=0.586). Therefore, preparing education programs for teachers according to gender and age group and developing food additives-related programs will be necessary for strengthening the teachers' ability to manage their dietary life and educate students.

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the health segment of the 7th national physical education curriculum in an effort to grasp the state of oral health education in the school curriculum. And it's also meant to investigate the relationship between oral health education and the oral health awareness of some high schoolers to check into any possible problems with oral health education as part of health education. The subjects in this study were 240 students from two different girls' high schools in Seoul, on whom a survey was conducted to find out their oral health knowledge, behavior and awareness. And the health category of the current P.E. curriculum announced by the Ministry of Education was analyzed. The findings of the study were as follows: Oral health education provided by the high schools as part of health education in P.E. class wasn't linked to P.E. theories and practice. The weight of oral health education was extremely small in the health segment, and there was no sequence, continuity and integration among the content systems of oral health education for different grades. When some high schoolers were investigated, they weren't properly oral health conscious, though it was very important for students to receive oral health education to prevent and manage dental diseases. And they didn't consequently take care of their own oral health. Future research efforts should be channeled from diverse angles into developing oral health education curriculums to bolster school oral health education to improve national oral health.
