Shear strength of match-cast-free dry joint in precast girders

  • Shear keys in precast concrete segmental bridges (PCSBs) are usually match-casting which is very labour intensive. In this research, an innovative match-casting-free construction was proposed by leaving small gap between the convex and the concave castellated shear keys in the joints of PCSBs. Specimen experiment, shear strength analysis and numerical simulation were conducted, investigating the loading performance of this new type of dry joints, the gap dry joints. Compared with match-casting joint specimens, it has been found from experiment that shear capacity of gap joint specimens significantly decreased ranging from 17.75% to 42.43% due to only partially constrained and contacted in case of gap dry joints. Through numerical simulation, the effects of bottom contacting location, the heights of the gap and the shear key base were analyzed to investigate strength reduction and methods to enhance shear capacity of gap joint specimens. Numerical results proved that shear capacity of gap dry joints under full contact condition was higher than that under partial contact. In addition, left contact destroyed the integrity of shear keys, resulting in significant strength reduction. Larger shear key base remarkably increased shear capacity of the gap joint. Experimental tests indicated that AASHTO provision underestimated shear capacity of the match-casting dry joint specimens, while the numerical results for the gap dry joint showed that AASHTO provision underestimated shear capacity of full contact specimens, but overestimated that of left contact specimens.

대장균과 황색포도상구균에 대한 이산화염소의 살균소독력 평가 및 살균예측모델 개발 (Evaluation of Efficacy and Development of Predictive Reduction Models for Escherichia coli and Staphylococcus aureus on Food Contact Surfaces as a Function of Concentration and Contact Time of Chlorine Dioxide)

  • 본 연구는 기구등에 오염된 E. coli와 S. aureus를 제어하기 위해 이산화염소의 농도별 접촉시간에 따른 살균소독력을 평가하여 살균예측모델을 개발하였다. E. coli의 경우 초기균수가 9.13 log CFU/mL이었고, 청정조건에서 5ppm으로 1분, 3분, 5분 처리한 결과 각각 0.04, 0.07, 0.10 log CFU/mL의 감소값을 나타내었다. 20 ppm을 처리한 결과 각각 0.74, 0.79, 0.84 log CFU/mL의 감소값을 나타내었다. 또한 CCD에 의한 최대농도 35 ppm으로 처리한 결과 각각 2.49, 2.70, 3.65 log CFU/mL의 감소값을 나타내었다. S. aureus의 경우 초기균수가 8.70 log CFU/mL이었고, 청정조건에서 5 ppm으로 1분, 3분, 5분 처리한 결과 각각 0.14, 0.28, 0.36 log CFU/mL의 감소값을 나타내었다. 20 ppm을 처리한 결과 각각 0.66, 0.79, 0.90 log CFU/mL의 감소값을 나타내었다. 또한 CCD에 의한 최대농도 35 ppm으로 처리한 결과 각각 4.59, 5.25, 5.81 log CFU/mL의 감소값을 나타내었다. 따라서 이산화염소의 살균소독력 평가결과는 E. coli와 S. aureus에 대하여 식품의약품안전처 살균소독력 기준에 모두 만족하는 것으로 나타났다. 살균예측모델의 경우, $R^2$값이 모두 0.98 이상으로 두 균주에 대해 모두 높은 적합성을 보였다. 본 연구에서 개발된 이산화염소의 살균예측모델을 식품산업 적용을 위한 기초자료로 활용함으로써 E. coli와 S. aureus를 적절한 농도와 접촉시간으로 제어할 수 있을 것으로 사료된다.

SH-EMAT를 이용한 알루미늄 박판의 두께감육 평가 (Evaluation of Thickness Reduction in an Aluminum Sheet using SH-EMAT)

  • In this paper, a non-contact method of evaluating the thickness reduction in an aluminum sheet caused by corrosion and friction using SH-EMAT (shear horizontal, electromagnetic acoustic transducer) is described. Since this method is based on the measurement of the time-of-flight and amplitude change of guided waves caused from the thickness reduction, it provides information on the thinning defects. Information was obtained on the changes of the various wave features, such as their time-of-flight and amplitude, and their correlations with the thickness reduction were investigated. The interesting features in the dispersive behavior of selected guided modes were used for the detection of thinning defects. The measurements of these features using SH waves were performed on aluminum specimens with regions thinned by 7.2% to 29.5% of the total thickness. It is shown that the time-of-flight measurement provides an estimation of the thickness reduction and length of the thinning defects.

플럭스 코어드 와이어에 따른 용접 중 콘택트 팁 내마모성 평가 (Wear Resistance Evaluation of Contact Tip according to Flux Cored Wire)

  • The contact tip for flux cored arc welding has important functions to transmit the welding current to the wire and to guide the wire to molten pool. A damaged contact tip causes a productivity reduction and a welding quality problem. In this study, the welding experiments for the wear resistance of contact tip regarding flux cored wire types were performed. With two fold type and a seamless type flux cored wires, the wear rates of contact tips were compared. In addition, the wear rate was checked according to the contact tip position.

주철의 표면로울링에서 이송량과 로울링 회수에 따른 변화 연구 (Effects of Rolling Numbers and Feeds on Surface Deformation in Surface Rolling of Cast Iron)

  • The surface rolling for cylindrical surface of a grey cast iron was carried out using a lathe with a simple newly-designed tool system. A surface rolling tool used was steel ball whose diameter was 3/8 inch (9.525mm) The effects of rolling feeds and number of rolling on surface rolling were investigated. The contact pressure between ball and workpiece which was considered as Hertz's contact problem was examined and the track of motion of a ball on the cylindrical surface of a work- piece was measured according to the rolling feed. The results obtained were as follows; 1. The roughness of the machined surface which was originally 5.3 .approx. 28 umRz decreased to 1.2 .approx. 5 umRz according to rolling feeds and numbers of rolling. 2. The hardness increased from Hv 260 to Hv 290 .approx. 310 through 2 .approx. 4 rollings according to the roughness of machined surfaces. 3. The reduction of diameter was found to be proportional to the variations of roughness of previous machined surfaces. About 60% to 90% of reduction in diameter was made during the first rolling process. 4. An equation relating the reduction of diameter and the variation of surface roughness after surface rolling was presented using a geometric surface model. 5. An equation for the calculation of dynamic contact area between pressure ball and workpiece according to the rolling feed was presented.

수동필터를 이용한 고속전철 이선현상에 의한 전원외란 저감 (Reduction of Power Disturbance by Contact Loss Phenomenon of a High Speed Electric Train Using Passive Filters)

  • Since high-speed train is a dynamic load in which electric power is externally supplied, contact loss between the catenary and pantograph occurs. This phenomena including vibrations generates frequently irregular arcs, which, in turn causes EMI. Thus it is very important to develop the approach to reduce arc phenomenon by contact loss, as speed of electric railway vehicle increases. In case of an electric railway vehicle using electrical power, compared with diesel rolling stock, Power Line Disturbance(PLD) such as harmonics, transient voltage and current, Electromagnetic Interference(EMI), and dummy signal injection etc usually occur. In this study, the dynamic characteristics of a contact wire and a pantograph suppling electrical power to high-speed train are investigated with an electrical response point. To implement power line disturbance induced by contact loss phenomenon for high speed train operation, a hardware simulator which considers contact loss between contact wire and pantograph as well as contact wire deviation is developed. It is confirmed by the experiments that contact loss effect is largely dependent on voltage conditions when the contact loss occurs. Also, a passive filter is designed to reduce power disturbance and the designed system is verified by experiment.

탄화규소 반도체의 구리 오옴성 접촉 (Copper Ohmic Contact on n-type SiC Semiconductor)

  • n-형 탄화규소 반도체에 대한 구리금속을 이용하여 오옴성 접촉 구조를 제작하였다. 제작된 구리접촉에 대해 후속열처리 조건과 금속접촉 구조에 따른 재료적, 전기적 성질의 변화를 조사하였다. 금속접촉의 오옴성 성질은 금속박막의 구조 뿐 아니라 열처리조건에 대해서도 크게 좌우됨을 알 수 있었다. 열처리는 급속열처리 장치를 이용한 진공상태 및 환원 분위기에서 2단계 열처리방식을 통하여 시행하였다. 접촉비저항의 측정을 위해 TLM 구조를 만들었으며 면저항 ($R_{s}$), 접합저항 ($R_{c}$), 이동거리 ($L_{T}$), 패드간거리 (d), 전체저항 ($R_{T}$) 값을 구하여 알려진 계산식에 의해 접촉비저항 ($p_{c}$) 값을 추정하였다. 진공보다 환원분위기에서 후속 열처리를 수행한 시편이 양호한 전기적 성질을 가짐을 알 수 있었다. 가장 양호한 결과는 Cu/Si/Cu 구조를 가진 금속접촉 결과이었으며 접촉비저항 ($p_{c}$)은 $1.2\times 10^{-6} \Omega \textrm{cm}^2$의 낮은 값을 얻을 수 있었다. 재료적 성질은 XRD를 이용하여 분석하였고 SiC 계면 상에 구리와 실리콘이 결합한 구리 실리사이드가 형성됨을 알 수 있었다.

Photolithography 를 이용한 micro-dimple 크기에 따른 미끄럼 마찰거동 (The effect of size on friction property of micro-dimple surface to fabricate by photolithography)

  • The aim of this paper is to investigate the effect of micro-dimple size on reduction friction and to understand the potential of friction reduction through micro-scale dimple to fabricate by photolithography on pin-on-disk test using flat-on-flat contact geometry. It was verify that the friction property with respect to the same pitch has been influence on the size of dimple under lubricated sliding contact. Also, we can recognize from Stribeck curve that the friction property has a connection with the size of dimple. It can explain a relationship between the friction coefficient and a dimensionless parameter for lubrication condition. The friction property has been an effect on the size of surface texture on reduction friction, not only because the density of dimple, but also because the ratio of diameter/pitch. This ratio of approximately 0.5 is recommend under the tested friction condition. It suggested that the ratio of d/p is an important parameter for surface texture design.

  • This paper presents rational modeling and analysis method for complex structures with various structural joints. For modeling of structural joint, a general modeling technique is newly proposed by flexibility influence coefficient and inverse of flexibility matrix and static reduction concept which is applied to the retained DOFs(degrees of freedom) of detailed finite element model of struction joints. By this method,joint model with contact surface. which can not be reduced by the general reduction theory such as Guyan reduction theory ,can be reduced effectively. And in this method, the nonlinearity of the contact surface can be linearized within a proper range and the boundary effects of joint region can be excluded. Using the proposed method, screwed joint,glued joint and bolted joint are analyzed. And the effectiveness of the proposed method is verified by experiments.

탈구된 치아의 부적절한 재식으로 인한 조기접촉의 치험례 (CASE REPORT OF PREMATURE CONTACT BY UNPROPER REDUCTION OF AVULSED TOOTH)

  • 외상에 의한 영구치의 손상은 유치열에서 영구치열로 이환되는 $8{\sim}10$세 경에 가장 빈발하며, 치아의 파절, 전위 함입, 정출, 탈구 등일 나타난다. 이중 치아가 치조와에서 이탈되는 손상을 받았을 경우에는 일반적으로 원래의 치조와내에 이탈된 치아를 재위치 시키고 고정하여 치유를 도모한다. 본 증례는 원광대학교 치과병원에 내원한 2명의 환아로 외상을 받은 후 각각 다른 기관에서 응급처치를 받았으나, 적절히 정복되지 못하여 본원에 내원 시 조기접촉을 보이고 있었다. 이에 고정된 치아를 다시 탈구시켜 원래의 치조와내에 재식하고 고정하였다. 적절하지 못한 재식은 지속적인 교합접촉을 일으킬 수 있으며, 이로 인한 치유의 지연 및 저작곤란, 부정교합 등을 야기할 수 있다. 외상 환자를 가장 먼저 접하게 되는 응급실이나 의원에서는 외상치의 처치에 대하여 숙지하고 있어야 하며 적절한 의뢰가 이루어져야 한다.
