We conducted this study to compare the awareness and attitude of Busan housewives about consuming marine products. The survey was conducted from April 10 to May 31, 2019 by using a questionnaire. The degree of preference of seafood was higher among individuals in their 40s than those in the other age groups. Among the women in their 30s, 40s, 50s and 70s, the reason for liking seafood was 'taste', and for those in their 60s it was 'nutrition'. Overall the most common reason for disliking seafood was the 'fishy smell (37.4%)'. Conception degree of nutritive value of seafood was higher among individuals in their 30s and 40s than that for those individuals in their 50s, 60s and 70s. As for the price of seafood, the wives over 40s thought seafood was more expensive than did those wives in their 30s. The younger the individuals were, the lower was the perceived degree of safety was 49.8% of the subjects reported that the main concern for purchase was 'freshness'. The perceived degree of safety for imported seafood was better for the wives in their 60s and 70s than that for those wives in their 30s, 40s and 50s. The confidence level for local Korean seafood was higher for the wives in their 60s than that for the wives in their 50s. The degree of preference for seafood was moderate overall, except for Jellyfish. Age was positively correlated with conception for safety and dietary attitude (P<0.01), whereas age was negatively correlated with monthly food expenditure, nutrition knowledge and intake requirements (P<0.01). Preference for seafood was positively correlated with conception for safety (P<0.05), nutrition knowledge (P<0.05), dietary attitude (P<0.01), awareness for nutritive value (P<0.01) and intake requirements (P<0.01). Laws and regulations should be reinforced in order to promote eating more seafood and periodic research to determine the actual amount of consumed seafood and people's preferences should be conducted.
Purpose: Malnutrition in children with cerebral palsy (CP) is a significant factor affecting their adequate growth and development. This study aimed at conducting surveys and evaluating the dietary intake of children with CP according to their BMI classification and to thereby highlight the dietary factors affecting the nutritional status of these children. Methods: A total of 16 children were enrolled between the age of four and twelve. These subjects were further classified into three groups, namely underweight, normal and obese, with 6, 8, and 2 children in each group, respectively. The general characteristics, motor disturbances, body composition, feeding problems, eating habits, nutritional intake, dietary variety, and food frequency for children with CP were evaluated. Results: It was observed that motor disturbances tended to increase in underweight children with CP. A significant decrease (p < 0.05) in disturbances related to oral feeding was observed with an increase in obesity. The pattern of eating habits revealed that subjects in the underweight group consumed unbalanced meals, while those in the obese group tended to consume larger meals at a faster pace. The feeding disturbance data revealed that those in the underweight group could not prepare their meals while the obese group had the problem of overeating and consuming an unbalanced diet (p < 0.05). Conclusion: It is necessary for both children with CP, who have a high degree of disability, and their caregivers to take lessons on adequate nutrient intake to prevent malnutrition. Moreover, it is necessary for the caregivers and children with CP having a low degree of disability to take lessons on providing and consuming a balanced diet and to focus on the intake of sufficient calcium in order to prevent obesity.

The selection of classification boundaries in fuzzy rule- based classification systems is an important and difficult problem. So various methods based on learning processes such as neural network, genetic algorithm, and so on have been proposed for it. In a previous study, we pointed out the limitation of the methods and discussed a method for fuzzy partitioning in the overlapped region on feature space in order to overcome the time-consuming when the additional parameters for tuning fuzzy membership functions are necessary. In this paper, we propose a method to determine three types of classification boundaries(i.e., non-overlapping, overlapping, and a boundary point) on the basis of statistical information of the given dataset without learning by extending the method described in the study. Finally, we show the effectiveness of the proposed method through experimental results applied to pattern classification problems using the modified IRIS and standard IRIS datasets.
Pork is a popular meat consumed in Korea. However, the consumption pattern has typically focused on preferred parts, like pork belly, which is usually broiled. This consumption pattern has increased both stocks of low fat parts and medical costs, and has thereby disturbed pork industry growth and the national health welfare. Changing the consumption patterns of preferred parts and encouraging consumption of low fat parts will improve consumers' quality of life and also increase their benefits. Thus, this study estimated WTP (Willingness To Pay) for health funds among consumers who eat pork meat, considering the health benefits gained by consuming low fat parts and changes in preferred part consumption. The results of this study show that WTP is higher when consumers have a smaller family and a higher income; these consumers plan to increase intake of pork meat in the future and think that the promotion of low fat pork meat consumption is more important. The WTP for health funds is estimated to be 49won to 287won through Logit Model. The health benefits of low fat consumption were estimated to be 92 billion won to 539 billion won per year. Therefore, reforming low fat pork consumption not only changes the traditional consumption pattern focused on preferred parts but also leads to a variety of benefits for consumers, including health benefits.

Existing face detection systems, which are used for digital door locks, digital cameras, video surveillance systems, and so on, are software-based implementation for relatively low level resolution images. Therefore, in this case, there are difficulties in detecting faces in a real-time fashion due to the increasing amount of operational processing as well as in allowing the requirements of face detections for HD(High Definition) resolutions. A hardware approach is necessary to efficiently find faces for HD images in real-time embedded systems. This paper proposes and implements a hardware architecture for an LBP(Local Binary Pattern) operation which is a time-consuming part as one of preprocessing steps for face detection. The hardware architecture proposed in this research has been implemented and tested with a FPGA(Field Programmable Gate Array) chip, and shown that the approach guarantees efficient face detection for HD images.
The dietary habits and eating behaviors of nonagenarian subjects over 90 years old in Korean representative longevity belts of Damyang, Gokseong, Kurye, Sunchang were evaluated. The subjects of the study were 91 elderly people (26 males and 65 females) over 90 years old and their dietary habits, food preferences and meal patterns were collected by individual interview. The percentage of subjects, who answered 'very good' or 'good' for their health status, was $65.9\%$. In this study, $55\%$ of subjects were without chronic diseases, and there was no significance difference in gender. Many subjects had performed regular exercise and outdoor activity. The rate of eating together with their family was $79.1\%$. Most of subjects ($91.2\%$) had a regular mealtime consuming three meals a day, and they had good appetite and pleasure of eating. The higher preference of food group was fruits ($95.6\%$), legumes ($94.5\%$), mushrooms ($93.4\%$) and vegetables ($92.3\%$), but the amount of intakes is higher in vegetables than the others. Eating with family, regular exercise and self-rated good health are improved their nutrient intakes. Most frequently consumed meal pattern was rice plus soup and side dishes. The side dish consumed frequently was Namul (blanch and seasoned vegetables). From this study, the nonagenarian populations in longevity belt in Korea have good dietary habits such as regular mealtime, constant amount of meal and eat with pleasure. They are taking Korean traditional meal pattern, providing enriched antioxidant vegetable foods. Also, it can be concluded that the amount and quality of diet in the long-lived elderly are responsible for the Korean traditional family system.
Based on the fact that a human being walks naturally and stably with consuming a minimum energy, this paper proposes a new method of generating a natural gait of 5-link biped robot like human by analyzing a COG (Center Of Gravity) trajectory of human's gait. In order to generate a natural gait pattern for 5-link biped robot, it considers the COG trajectory measured from human's gait images on the sagittal and frontal plane. Although the human and 5-link biped robot are similar in the side of the kinematical structure, numbers of their DOFs(Degree Of Freedom) are different. Therefore, torques of the human's joints cannot are applied to robot's ones directly. In this paper, the proposed method generates the gait pattern of the 5-link biped robot from the GA algorithm which utilize human's ZMP trajectory and torques of all joints. Since the gait pattern of the 5-link biped robot model is generated from human's ones, the proposed method creates the natural gait pattern of the biped robot that minimizes an energy consumption like human. In the side of visuality and energy efficiency, the superiority of the proposed method have been improved by comparative experiments with a general method that uses a inverse kinematics.
This study aims to investigate the characteristics of Chinese consumers, who are growing up as the global biggest consumption market, according to G sensibility types, and to provide the data base for China market by analyzing the consuming pattern per sensibility and the preferred color. For the investigation, the survey on G sensibility and consuming pattern was conducted for consumers in four cities of China. As a result of classification of G sensibility types, it was found that Chinese consumers tended to behave in accordance with their values and identities and the most general type in them was G1 pursuing the reasonable and logical consumption, unlike Korean consumers who tended to be shown as G3 for the most general type according to the preceding study. As to characteristic of consumption, Chinese consumers preferred to purchase clothes from the department store, and in case of G2 type, the characteristics was corresponded with Actionist's character which shows the wide range of behavior and high-consumption, by preferring the road-shop next to the department store. Chinese consumers tended to purchase the clothes on the basis of their preferred colors, and especially it was shown that achromatic color was very commonly preferred. Also the black color was on the highest preference, and white, dark gray and light gray were followed. Meanwhile, in chromatic color, it was found that brown, orange, red and blue were preferred in order, and in case of G4, it was found that they preferred more various colors compared to the other types. This result could be used as the data base for the marketing strategy of fashion design industry and the related companies, as well as the new communication method for the consumers.
The semiconductor fabrication process is complex and time-consuming. There are sometimes errors in the process, which results in defective die on the wafer bin map (WBM). We can detect the faulty WBM by finding some patterns caused by dies. When one manually seeks the failure on WBM, it takes a long time due to the enormous number of WBMs. We suggest a two-step approach to discover the probable pattern on the WBMs in this paper. The first step is to separate the normal WBMs from the defective WBMs. We adapt a hierarchical clustering for de-noising, which nicely performs this work by wisely tuning the number of minimum points and the cutting height. Once declared as a faulty WBM, then it moves to the next step. In the second step, we classify the patterns among the defective WBMs. For this purpose, we extract features from the WBM. Then machine learning algorithm classifies the pattern. We use a real WBM data set (WM-811K) released by Taiwan semiconductor manufacturing company.
Hana TV and Mega TV have been growing rapidly with IP-VOD service. The number of subscribers of both of them were 1.4 million in April 2008. Additionally, the change of viewing patterns of IPTV subscribers was predicted. Therefore, the purpose of this paper is to see how the subscribers use IP-VOD service practically. For this research, the frequency, the time and the duration of connection by genre have been analyzed on the March of 2007 and 2008. According to the result, there was a significant change quantitatively: within a year, not only the number of subscribers has doubled, but also the frequency of monthly connection has been increased 15 times. In addition, the duration of viewing per person has quadrupled. Regarding to the contents, the subscribers still prefer to watch free TV programs. However, the viewers have their own way of consuming TV programs. It has been proved that IPTV is a complementary media of free TV with a strong possibility to change the viewing patterns in the near future.
