소셜 빅데이터를 활용한 럭셔리 브랜드 인식 연구 (Study on Recognitions of Luxury Brands by Using Social Big Data)

  • This study analyzes consumers' preference trend, positive and negative factors in regards to luxury brands by researching changes in the consumer awareness of luxury brands, preference trends and psychological awareness based on big data to suggest a creative business strategy for corporations that can help Korean brands enter global luxury brand markets. The study results are as follows. Preferred items (consumer) psychology, positive awareness and negative awareness were derived based on the last five years of social big data on Korean consumers' preferred brands. First, the Korean consumers' preferred brands for the recent five years indicated that Dolce & Gabbana (2013), ESCADA (2012), Gucci (2011, 2009) and Chanel (2010) were most preferred and Prada, Louis Vuitton, Hermes, Burberry, Fendi, Givenchy and Dior were also shown to be preferred brands. Second, bags (such as shoulder bags) were shown to be the most preferred items for luxury brand items that consumers wished to own. Third, it was analyzed that keywords for consumer psychology in regards to luxury brands included: diverse, new, outstanding, overwhelming, luxurious, glamorous, worldwide, famous, success and good. Fourth, consumers' positive awareness regarding luxury brands included: diverse, luxury, famous, outstanding, perfect, bright and luxurious. Fifth, negative awareness included: price factors of expensive, high price and excessive as well as factors to be improved upon such as old, bland, flashy, crude, unfriendly and fake.

원산지와 의류 상표자산가치가 소비자의 의류구매의도에 미치는 영향 -한국과 미국의 소비자를 중심으로- (The Effect of Country of Origin and Apparel Brand Equity on Consumers' Willingness to Purchase Apparel -Comparison of Korean and U.S. Consumers-)

  • The purpose of this study was (1) to examine the preference for apparel brands and country of origin, (2) to evaluate the brand equity for domestic and imported apparels as perceived by Korean and American consumers, and (3) to analyze the effects of country of origin and brand equity on consumers' apparel purchase behavior. The sample included 151 Korean and 114 American consumers. The data were collected from respondents by using the mall-intercept method. In addition, the path analysis based on multiple regression analysis was applied to analyze the data. The major findings in this study were as followings; (1) Both of all Korean and US consumers preferred domestic apparel brands to imported brands but the latter preferred apparels made in home country to the former comparatively, (2) Korean consumers evaluated more favorably the brand equity for imported apparels than that for domestic apparels, but American consumers were quite the reverse, (3) To Korean consumers, the direct variable to influence the purchase intention of apparels was the perceived quality and indirect variables were the brand equity and country of origin. On the other hand, to American consumers, the perceived quality and the brand equity for domestics apparel had directly influence on the purchase intention and the brand equity for imported apparels did indirectly. Finally, implications for managerial and marketing strategies were discussed in regard to building an international apparel brand equity and improving exports with high quality apparels.

The Research on Strategy of Clothing Product for the Women of 20s in Peking of China

  • This study is intended to figure out marketing strategies of women clothing brands which are remarkably preferred and recognized among Chinese women in their twenties by analyzing and comparing the features of products between Chinese fashion brands and Korean brands. This study result is follow as: 1. As the result of women fashion brands in China, it became certain that the differentiation policy of each brand and the strategy of development design reflected the needs of Chinese consumers in 20s were preferred in Chinese fashion market. 2. As the result of comparing and analysing the strategy of Korean brands' clothing product entered China market, some of them reflected well Chinese women' inclination who are in their twenties. Therefore with the proper positioning and the strategy of actual place, those Korean brands are prominently preferred. However others can not be the leading brands because of supplying inharmonious basic-style product with the preference of Chinese women in 20s.

  • This research deals with the issues concerning how consumers change their purchase behavior if one of brands in the market prolongs its coupon duration while there are more than two brands. If they extend coupon duration of a brand, consumers increase Purchase of the brand with coupons. But they increase or reduce purchase of competing brands with coupons depending on the condition of the market. increase of purchase of the brand with prolonged coupons stems from reducing purchase of the consumer's most favorite brands with regular price and their less preferred brands with coupons. On the other hand, consumers who prefer the brand at in-between level tend to reduce purchase of competing brands with coupons under certain conditions. Therefore firms which do not have dominant market positions have strong incentive for strategic alliance in terms of coupon duration.

국내·외 SPA 브랜드의 이미지 기반 패션 큐레이션 이미지 유형 및 이용자의 이미지 선호에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Image Types and User's Preference on Image-based Fashion Curation of Domestic and Foreign SPA Brands)

  • This study classified and analyzed the types of images posted on official accounts operated by domestic and foreign SPA brands on Instagram and Pinterest, which are image-based fashion curations, and performed a survey on preferred image types in the fashion curations of SPA brands. It aims to induce active apparel purchasing behavior of consumers through the suggestion of image types about fashion curations for effective communication between fashion brands and consumers. The survey to targets the 20s and 30s was carried out from October 23, 2015 until November 22 and conducted factor analysis, paired t-test. The above images were classified into four types based on previous studies: product images, brand images, lifestyle images, multiple images. The results of the survey were also divided into four factors in line with the classification of image types. Generally, foreign SPA brands(H&M, Uniqlo, Zara) used image-based fashion curation services more frequently than domestic SPA brands(8Seconds, Mixxo, Spao, Tngt). The analysis of image types in the fashion curations of SPA brands showed that product images accounted for the highest proportion of images used in the official accounts of SPA brands. However, the comparison of averages on the preferred image types of survey respondents showed that the users who had once visited the official accounts of SPA brands on Instagram and Pinterest preferred in the order of lifestyle information > product information > brand information > multiple information provided by SPA brands, which was statistically significant.

러시아와 한국 여대생 소비자의 의류 소비행동에 관한 비교연구 (Comparative Research on Clothing Consumption Behaviors of Female College Students in Russia and Korea)

  • In this study, clothing consumption behaviors of Russian and Korean female college students were compared. Data were collected by conducting surveys in Russia and Korea. In results, Russian female college students spent considerably more money on clothing than did Korean students, compared to the income level. Korean consumers bought clothing mostly in the department stores, whereas Russian consumers preferred large shopping centers, discount stores and traditional markets to shop clothing. As important factors affecting clothing purchase decision, Russian consumers considered country of origin while Korean consumers considered style. Korean consumers were satisfied more on domestic brands than did Russian consumers while Russians were more satisfied with foreign brands than did Koreans. Russian consumers considered diverse factors in forming attitude and buying intention toward domestic and foreign brands. In contrast, Korean consumers' attitude and purchase intention were influenced much by style. Based on study results, marketing implications were provided.

국내외 자전거용 의류 전문 브랜드의 상품색과 한국 소비자의 의류 선호색 비교 (Comparison between Color of Cycling Clothing Brands and Color Preference of Korean Consumers)

  • Cycling has become a popular leisure activity, and many cycling enthusiasts have used cycling clothes as a form of expression, which often comes in wide range of colors. The study shows the importance of color in cycling clothing to meet the emotional needs of consumers. Furthermore, this study aims to provide comparative analysis between color of domestic and overseas cycling clothing brands, and color preference of Korean consumers in order to provide data, which can be used in satisfying consumers' needs for personal expression and emotional demands. Thus, the study expects to identify consumers' satisfaction for cycling clothing. The consumers were categorized by the frequency of cycling and their interest in fashion, and the following categories were made:potential consumers, casual cyclists with low fashion involvement, casual cyclists with high fashion involvement and frequent cyclists with high fashion involvement. Consumers preferred dark colors for their cycling clothing including jacket, top and pants, while 'frequent cyclists with high fashion involvement' preferred more diverse colors and tones. In the cycling clothing market, white and black were major colors, while red, orange and blue were major colors of chromatic color. In terms of shade, dark shade dominated the market. Comparing between preferred color and preferred product color, black was preferred for both, but no other colors showed such tendency. This study is based on empirical analysis and verification of color, which is the emotional element appealing to specific and segmented sports-apparel market. The study revealed that the data could be applicable to the design of future products.

음료의 포장디자인 표현방법이 소비자의 브랜드 선호도에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구 -과즙 음료 원재료의 표현방법 (사실적 표현 : 비사실적 표현)을 중심으로 - (Effects of Expression in Packing Designs of Drinks on Consumers' Preference for Brands - Focusing on expression of ingredients in juice (Realistic : Unrealistic) -)

  • 광고매체, 대형할인마트 등에서 소비자의 눈길을 끌기 위해서는 경쟁력 있고 차별화 된 포장디자인을 통한 강력한 브랜드의 이미지가 요구된다. 본 연구에서는 소비자의 브랜드에 대한 긍정적인 태도를 유출하기 위해서 포장디자인의 중요성을 깨닫고 시각적인 측면에서 과실음료 포장디자인의 표현방법에 따른 소비자의 선호도를 연구하였다. 연구결과 음료의 포장디자인에서 원재료를 사실적인 방법으로 표현하였을 경우 비사실적 표현방법보다 소비자가 느끼는 과즙 함유량이 높게 나타났다. 웰빙(Well-being)의 관심도와 원재료의 포장디자인에서 표현방법에 따른 소비자 브랜드 선호도에서는 웰빙(Well-being)에 관심이 많은 사람이 사실적 표현방법을 선호하는 것으로 나타나 통계적으로 유의한 차이가 나타났다. 소비자가 가장 선호하는 음료의 용기재질로는 유리병으로 나타났으며, 가장 선호하는 오렌지 주스의 종류는 100%과즙함유로 나타났다. 따라서, 웰빙(Well-being)의 관심도와 음료의 원재료에 대한 표현방법은 브랜드 선호도와 구매의도에 차이를 보이는 것으로 나타났으며 과즙의 함유량에도 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다.

패션 명품 브랜드의 제품 속성 조합 (The Combination of Product Attributes in Luxury Fashion Brands)

  • The economy blocking and price competitiveness caused by globalization has generated an on-going controversy of global sourcing among high-priced luxury brands. The consumers in the global market purchase luxury goods based on both craftsmanship and the reputation of luxury brands. Factors such as the origin, brand and pricing can affect the intention of consumers to buy luxury goods. This study analyzed the optimum brand combination using conjoint analysis. The analysis was based on the selection of origin, brand name and price as extrinsic factors among attributes of customer choice. These factors were subdivided into Italian and Chinese origins, Gucci, Prada, and Miu Miu in terms of brand names, and 450,000, 750,000, and 1,500,000 Won in terms of price levels. The result showed that origin was considered the most important factor followed by brand name and pricing. This tendency tells us that customers consider origin, brand name and price in that order when purchasing luxury brands. In regards to each factor, respondents preferred Italian to Chinese origins, the Gucci to Miu Miu brand name, and 750,000 to 450,000 won for price level. Generally, women in their 20s and 30s preferred products from advanced nations at a medium-level price.

남성의 젠더(Gender) 정체성, 브랜드 젠더, 판매원의 성이 패션 브랜드 태도에 미치는 영향 (The effect of man's gender identity, brand gender and salesperson sex on fashion brand attitude)

  • This research used an experimental design in an effort to assess the influence of brand gender and salespeople on the attitudes toward brands according to the males' gender identity traits. The study used a three-way split-plot experimental design, and data were analyzed by t-tests, and ANOVA. The subject of this research was men in their 20s and 30s, and a total of 178 people were selected through convenience- sampling. The findings are as follows: first, masculine male consumers preferred masculinity fashion brands; however, androgynous consumers preferred brands that reflect androgyny. Second, there were no differences in brand attitude according to the gender of the salesperson for the masculinity group, but the androgynous group estimated the brands as better when the salesperson was female. Third, there were no differences in the brand attitudes among consumers according to gender of the salesperson for the Galaxy; however, for Solid Homme, brand preference was stronger when the salesperson was a woman. Fourth, the influence of brand gender and salesperson gender on brand attitudes differed according to the gender of the consumer. Therefore, apparel companies must clearly understand the characteristics of consumer gender identity and execute proper marketing strategies in order to induce stronger positive attitudes toward their brands. Moreover, apparel companies should perceive that brand gender and the gender of the salesperson can consequently encourage brand preferences.
