소비자의 지식수준과 관여도가 쇠고기의 구매행동에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Consumer's Knowledae Level and Involvement on Beef Purchasing Behavior)

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the recent consumption patterns and consumer's perception changes in the Korean beef market and thus to analyze whether there was any structural changes in beef consumption patterns in Korea. This current survey was conducted to examine consumer attitudes toward factors determining beef purchasing and improving distribution system. First, it is vital to cut beef production costs and expand high-quality beef in order to compete with imported beef. Second, it is also important to endeavor to enhance th safety of beef. Also consumers demand more information on the quality of beef. Third, promotion activities are very important to maintain Hanwoo beef market power. Forth, it is important to prevent imported beef from being sold as Hanwoo beef at retailers. Finally, we should pay more attention to maintain beef consumption data.

수돗물 음용행동의 영향변수에 관한 연구 (The Determinants of Tap Water Consumption Patterns)

  • This study investigated the determinants of Tap Water consumption patterns. Socio-demographic variables(gender, family income, education level, residual area) and consumer attitude knowledge(confidence, knowledge, problem experience, risk perception and aesthetic satisfaction)were included in the analysis. Three hundred fifty-nine teachers were participated in this study. ANOVA(Scheffe test), t-test, regression and logistic regression were conducted. The results of this study are as follows: 1. Tap water was consumed by only 1.7%, boiled water prior to drinking by 37.9%, water filtered by 39.8% and bottled water by 19.0%. 2. Consumer attitude knowledge was affected by socio-demographic variables. That is, aesthetic satisfaction was affected by age, risk perception by gender and educational level, confidence by educational level, knowledge by gender and age, and problem experience by age. 3. Logistic regression analysis indicated that age, confidence and aesthetic satisfaction were the determinants of bottled water or filtered water choice. However, risk perception was not a significant determinant. This suggests alternatives to tap water is related to non-risk, or non-safety factors.

한국 가계의 경제위기 대처행동에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Coping Behaviors with Economic Crisis of Korean Households)

  • Now in Korea, many households are facing with economic crisis. The study based on the premise that household economic status could keep as stable as before economic crisis depending on the coping behavior of housewives as a manager of household. The purpose of this study was to find the coping behavior patterns with economic crisis of housewives, and to examine the socio-demo-economic factors which influence the coping behavior with economic crisis of housewives. Major findings were as follows; (1) The principal two patterns of coping with economic crisis were active coping behavior and passive coping behavior. (2) The most frequently used coping behavior pattern was passive coping behavior. (3) The patterns of coping with economic crisis were influenced by the socio-demo-economic factors.

Machine Learning Approach to the Effects of the Superstore Mandatory Closing Regulation

  • Purpose - This paper is aimed to analyze the effects of the mandatory closing regulation targeting large retailers, which has been implemented since 2012 to protect small retailers. We examine the changes in consumers' choice of retailers and their purchasing patterns of agri-food following the implementation of such regulation. Research design, data, and methodology - Household spending patterns were identified through the historical data of household food purchase, consumer panel provided by the Rural Development Administration. Clustering was employed to determine the household spending patterns. Moreover, the different household spending patterns before and after the regulation were comparatively studied. The patterns of consumers' choice of retail stores and shopping baskets by the type of retailers, derived from the respective datasets before and after the regulation, were compared to analyze the effects of the regulation. Results -After the regulation, some consumers who used to shop at large retailers before the regulation changed their shopping places to small retailers. However, the product categories that consumers had mainly purchased before the regulation were rarely changed even after the regulation. Conclusions - Although the regulation helped migrate some of the consumers to small retailers, the regulation seemed to have failed to stimulate consumers to purchase the goods, normally bought at large retailers, from traditional markets. In other words, traditional markets are not effective substitutes for regulation-affected retailers.

3D CAD System에 의한 안동포의류제품 패턴설계 (Andongpo Apparel Pattern Design Connected with the 3D Apparel CAD System)

  • The purpose of this study is to develop Andongpo apparel pattern design connected with the Apparel CAD system. It includes pattern making, grading, marking program. In this study, it will be able to make apparel pattern quickly and accurately by using Apparel CAD system. The results were as following : Computerization of the pattern making process is expected to provide higher accuracy and efficiency in apparel pattern making for narrow and expensive Andongpo. ESMOD pattern making method was selected as basic pattern. Tailored jacket patterns were developed for Andongpo. Refer to and . The jacket patterns developed is automatically depicted by inputting consumer's body size. Tailored jacket patterns for Andongpo were marked by using marking program in Apparel CAD system. The efficiency of marking appeared of 70% or more in Andongpo jacket patterns. This results is showed it has an effect on narrow and expensive Andongpo. 3tailored jacket patterns will be able to make a simulation by 3D Apparel CAD system. The results of this study is expected to provide higher consumer's satisfaction and internet brand launching. In addition, encouraging majority of the young to participate in using CAD program for Andongpo is regarded as beneficial for the reinforcement of competitiveness of traditional clothing business.

가계의 소비지출유형과 특성에 관한연구 (Household Expenditure patterns and Its Characteristics)

  • This study analyzed household expenditure patterns using the 1990 Korean Consumer Expenditure Survey and identified the factors determining a household's probability to be in an expenditure pattern. The results of cluster analysis revealed five expenditure patterns: Education and Recreation-dominated; Necessities-dominated; Miscellaneous expenditure-dominated Housing dominated; and Transportation and Communication-dominated patterns. Based on the results of descriptive and Logit analyses household income household size age of household head and housing status were major factors to determine the type of househld expenditure pattern.

  • The purpose of this study was to develop a standardized scale to measure consume's impulse purchasing in internet shopping mall. As internet shopping is expanding rapidly, the consumer's impulse purchasing in the internet shopping is also increased. A preliminary 26-item scale was developed through a literature review. 1230 consumers responded to an online survey using the preliminary scale. This research was made with the intention of not only supplying the academic data on the consumer's impulse purchasing but also understanding the consume's basic behavior patterns in internet shopping mall. Then A series of tests, such as test-retest, item-to-total correlation, Cronbach's reliability coefficient and factor analysis, were conducted using the survey data. The final scale with 20-items was constructed in the end. The consume's impulse purchasing in internet shopping mall Scale for Consumers consisted of 4 factors.

웰빙 차(茶) 음료 구매 영향요인에 관한 연구 (A Study of Factors Affecting the Purchases of Well-Being Tea Drinks)

  • The purpose of this study was to identify factors affecting the purchases of well-being tea drinks based on the analysis of demographic characteristics, well-being oriented consumer behaviors, and consumer consciousness toward well-being tea drinks. The subjects of this study were undergraduates and graduate students in Seoul. The findings were summarized as follows: 1. Well-being oriented consumer behavior patterns were categorized in three factors; non-dietary life, selective dietary life, and regular/temperate behavior and consumer consciousness toward well-being tea drinks were categorized in two factors; habit/ familiarity and health/ economical efficiency. 2. Multiple regression analysis was used for finding out factors affecting the purchases of well-being tea drinks; independent variables were demographic characteristics(sex, monthly average family income and the amount of personal expenditure), well-being oriented consumer behavior factors and consumer consciousness factors toward well-being tea drinks. Weekly purchase frequency of well-being tea drinks was defined as a dependent variable. As a result, the purchases of well-being tea drinks were influenced in order of regular/temperate behavior, the consciousness of health/ economical efficiency, the amount of personal expenditure and the consciousness of habit/ familiarity. Especially, regular/temperate behavior negatively affected the purchases of well-being tea drinks.

소비 행동에 따른 동영상 컨텐츠 소비자 유형 구분과 특징 (Digital Contents Consumption and Consumer Characteristics)

  • 한국 사회에서 동영상 컨텐츠와 UCC 는 새로운 문화 현상이면서 광고 도구로써 많은 기대를 받고 있는 동시에 한편으로 수익성 모델 부재 및 저작권 등의 문제를 안고 있다. 이에 본 연구는 동영상 컨텐츠 및 UCC 사용자들의 유형을 파악함으로써 UCC 서비스의 성격이 무엇인가를 확인하면서, UCC 서비스가 소비자 에게 유의미한 상품의 하나로 수용되는 기제를 설명하고자 한다. 연구 대상이 된 사이트는 국내 대표적인 UCC 사이트이자 개인 방송국 서비스 제공하는 포탈이다. 연구방법은 사용자들이 보이는 활동을 기준으로 사용자들을 구분하고, 이를 통해서 각 사용자 유형이 보이는 주요 이용 행동 특성과 핵심 가치를 탐색하였다. 총 96개의 사용 행동 문항을 사용하였으며 연구참여자는 39명이었다. 분석 결과 라이브 동영상 서비스의 특성을 가진 UCC 서비스의 경우, '깍쟁이', 'B급 연예인', '시청자', '야심가', '휴머니스트', '패리스 힐튼' 총 6유형의 사용자집단이 있다는 것을 확인하였다. 각각의 사용자유형은 동영상 컨텐츠를 각기 다른 방식으로 활용할 뿐 아니라 동영상 서비스에 부여하는 가치도 달랐다. 본 연구는 동영상 컨텐츠나 UCC 시장에서 핵심 소비자이 누구이며, 이것을 기반으로 유의미한 비즈니스 모델을 설정할 수 있는 전략 포인트를 제공할 수 있을 것이다.

The Brand Name Effect of Consumer's Evaluation on Intrinsic Attributes :A Case Study of Clothing Market

  • The purpose of this study was primarily to examine various variables influencing consumer purchasing behavior on perceived product quality, value toward product including brand loyalty, price, consumer's willingness to pay for the product, and their expenditure patterns in Korean apparel market. Factor analysis was used to evaluate the credibility of dependent variables, and T-test was used to compare the effect of brand label, country of origin, brand effect between Korean and U.S, and jacket price and quality on consumer characteristics. Discriminated analysis was used to find the effective variables influencing the two reference group differences when they evaluated Korean and U.S. labeled and non-labeled apparel products. Multiple Regression analysis was used to examine the effects of consumer characteristics on perceived quality, perceived value, perceived price, and their willingness to buy. The results of this study also provides useful information of consumer purchasing behavior on U.S. branded apparel which may or already launched the Korean fashion merchandizing market.
