The purpose of this study is to develop Korean-style tractors of international comp etitive advantage which satisfy consumers' needs based on the research of large size ones. The overall process of this study is to generate appropriate design process and to apply quantitative analysis method to each steps of it and finally to suggest objective product design development system. For this, we firstly selected important trac -tor design concepts from the analysis of current market and consumer perception, next did conjoint analysis with the extract -ed design attributes and attribute levels. Finally, we decided preferred designs of ea -ch segments based on conjoint analysis. Here we selected only one most preferred tractor design of all due to narrow domest -ic market situation. This study may contribute to the customer oriented design development with the appli cation to many other fields of design. Also, it may contribute to all design related not only academic fields but to practitional fields.
The mobile advertisement has varied on lifestyle of people, who live aninformation-oriented society with portable equipment such as web phone and PDA(Personal Digital Assistant). Also, the advertising has expended mobile techniques and its application field unpredictably. The intrinsic characteristic of misdistribution, reach, and convenience in mobile advertisement add up the capacity of a location, information and individualize. This market condition leads the basic audio focused formal mobile advertisement to the new mobile Internet environment with an additional able of data communication. Moreover, the type of SMS (Short Message Service), Graphic, Wep Push, and ridchmedia, which based on music, basic graphic, voice, and letters transfer by mobile terminal and the mobile character is present inevitably correlation with pixel art and animation in 2D(Two Dimensions) techniques. Thus, this research appoints the importance and its role of mobile advertisement that is core of the business marketing in new media era. To activate mobile market, the mobile companies classify the characteristic of consumers with developed commercial use of mobile character and research their behavior to meet optimal mobile character in business.

The purposes of this study was to demonstrate the influence of fashion life-style, self-image and situational factors on consumer's apparel store choice for satisfaction of varied needs and high efficiency of marketing activity. A questionnaire was developed to measure research subjects based on theoretical study empirically. The questionnaire was administered to 270 women aged between 20 and 30 in Seoul. The results analyzed by factor analysis, cluster analysis, x2-test and oneway-anova. The results of empirical studies were summarized as follows: 1. Segmented groups of fashion life-style were classified practical/planning group, fashion- leader group, and shopping-oriented group. And store types which were prefered by those groups were department store/shopping center. 2. Segmented groups of self-image were classified actual-seeking group, modernity group and confidence group. And store types which were prefered by those groups were department store/shopping center. The Forecast of store choice on the base of self.image was showed that customers choose the store incongruous with self-image. But when it was analyzed each actual store choice. The Choice of high frequancy was congruous with self-image except for a specialty store/brand named outlet. 3. The significant differences could be found in choice of the store under particular purchase situations and especially at department stores and specialty store, their preference tended to be stronger as the degree of the store's involvement was hightened, but in the case of the generalization stores and the permanent discount stores, even though the degree of that involvement was low, their preference showed the same tendency.
This research verified efficiency of 2 design process models; 2-stage model and 3-stage model. 2-stage model means subjective and sensitive design process based on designer's creative mind. Contrarily, 3-stage model means objective, logical and consumer-oriented design process. Past researches have suggested inconsistent conclusions on efficiency of 2 design process models. This study suggested efficiency of 2 design process model based on the concept of market leader strategy and market seeker strategy. The study results imply that, in condition of high prestige brand, 2-stage model based on market leader strategy is more effective and contrarily in case of low prestige brand, 3-stage model based on market seeker strategy is more efficient. However, it is requested to perform various investigation about situations in which each design process model is more effective for the generalization of the study results.
This study investigates the impact of International Monetary Fund(IMF) Age on the household behavior of food consumption and analysis the related factors(demographic variables, family life style) to find out the reasonable consumer's consciousness and food market conditions. The results are as follows. 1. General life style and food life style, considered as family life style, were classified into 7 types and 9 types respectively as family life style by factor analysis. 2. The rationality of using and disposing stage on food life has increased, the rationality of the planning stage on food life has decreased since the IMF age began. But the rationality of overall food consumption has hardly changed. 3. The amount of purchasing was decreased, discount store was favorite place to buy food, and safety and freshness were major determinants in purchasing for most of food items. But this was different with food items. The various information sources were used impartially to buy food, cash was used mainly, and the degree of using the discount ticket/coupon was a little low. 4. Income level is an influential factor on the rationality of the planning and purchasing stage on food life, while environment-oriented food life style has influenced on the rationality of using and disposing stage. The purchasing amount of grain products, meats, milk products, bread and snacks, drinks, alcoholic drinks, water and convenience goods has influenced by demographic variables, eating out had been influenced by general life styles, and fruits, healthy foods, processed foodstuffs, favorite foods, vegetables seaweeds, import foods and seafood had been mainly influenced by food life style since IMF age began.
As the pluralistic value in which various cultures and trends exist develops the world at large, development of interior design is required to examine consumers by group. This requirement purports to set up a strategic model of operating interior design organizations under cross-cultural (past and present) enviroment, not to express new researches of interior design following the direction of the developed media service. Based on the educational and complex cultural approach to design matters - the key issue in solving the cross-cultural design matters, this paper has suggested the structure of semi-centralized design process and the system for finding out consumers' trends under the new media-based cultural design environment. This study presents some expected effects. First, it will be able to enhance the consumer-oriented design mind by providing the information on the interior design system and design trend. Through analyzing the lifestyle in the 21st century and providing the relevant information, it will lead irrlprovement in living environment. And further, by using the program of searching consumers' new preference, the system of grasping consumers' propensity and making decisions will be materialized. Secondly, based on the background database of forecasted consumers' trends, marketing strategies can be established. Thirdly, through the better technology of designing living environment, efficiency will be increased and the economic foundations through use of new database will be constructed. Fourth, systematic interior design can be developed. Strategic correspondence to consumers' desires and reinforcement of competitiveness will become possible with development of database. By encouraging consumers' participation under digital environment, their trends can be forecasted, and by efficiently using information and new technology, resources can be saved and further, additional costs for promotion and sales will be reduced.
This research was developing a mobile-based service system through which consumers can collect labeled information on processed foods. This research collected and analyzed the labeled information of processed foods sold on the market and found that they contain abstruse standards for the information of raw nutrients and additives and are not proper for our database. Thus, to offer proper consumer-oriented information, we reclassified the information according to categories such as raw materials, additives, and nutrient information based on the food information standard of the current Food Sanitation Act, and added it to the database. Using this reprocessed information, this study developed an algorithm and applied it to a mobile-based service system, which allows consumers to use information on the labels of processed foods scientifically and clearly.
Purpose: Shared mobility services are the most notable in the shared economy; however, they have yet to be activated in Korea due to various regulations and conflicts amongst stakeholders. Nevertheless, shared mobility has become an irresistible trend of the times, as it can cause a great deal of economic and environmental benefits. In this vein, the purpose of this study is to contribute to the revitalization of shared mobility services in Korea and to provide service providers with implications for developing consumer-oriented marketing strategies. Research design, data and methodology: Based on the reasons that the users do not use shared mobility service, the factors influencing the behaviors of shared mobility users are structured and analyzed in a reliable, technical and procedural manner. To this end, the theory of reasoned action (TRA) of Ajzen and Fisbbein, the initial trust model (ITM), task technology fit (TTF) and switching cost (SC) are adopted. A total of 202 questionnaires were collected from the respondents who were aware of shared mobility. Then statistical processing of the collected data used SmartPLS(v.3.2.8), a PLS-SEM (Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling) analysis program. The steps of the analysis are as follows. First, a PLS-Algorithm analysis was performed to evaluate the measurement model, and a Bootstraping and Blindfolding analysis was performed to evaluate the structural model and verify the hypotheses. Second, a multi-group analysis (PLS-MGA) was conducted to further analyze the differences depending on whether or not users experienced shared mobility service. Results: The results showed that initial trusts model (ITM) and task technology fit (TTF) have positive effects on users' behaviors through the mediation of the intention to use. As opposed to the assumption, switching costs did not have negative moderating effects in relation to the intention to use and users' behaviors. The influence of IT self-efficacy was significant, depending on the prior experience to use shared mobility services. Conclusions: This study will contribute to the revitalization of domestic shared mobility services and the formulation of service providers' marketing strategies. In future studies, there is a need to explore, reconstruct, and validate factors other than the impact factors of the shared mobility services used in this research model.
The purpose of this study was to investigate the differences in time use between Korean and American high school students. The data sources were the '2009 Time Use Survey' conducted by Korea National Statistical Office and the '2009 ATUS (American Time Use Survey)' conducted by Labor Statistics Division in the U.S.. 1,734 Korean diaries (1,311 on weekdays and 423 on Sundays) and 321 American diaries (208 on weekdays and 113 on Sundays) from high school students of 15 to 18 years of age were analyzed. Descriptive statistics and t-test were used for the statistical analysis. The time use patterns of Korean students on weekdays and Sundays were different than those of their American counterparts. On weekdays and Sundays, the sleeping time of Korean students was 2 hours less than the time of their American counterparts. Koreans studied more, nearly double the time of their American counterparts on weekdays and five times more on Sundays. The study-oriented time allocation of Korean students resulted in less leisure time than the American students. Korean students spent their leisure time of more than 30 minutes participating in social activities, media, and hobbies, and their time allocation to volunteer work and religious activities were nil. On Sundays, the time for studying by Korean students was more than five times longer than that spending by their American counterparts. Koreans used their leisure time of 6 hours and 47 minutes mainly for media, hobbies and social activities. The participation rate of volunteering by Korean students was only 0.5%, though it was 31.0% for the Americans. For a study-life balance for Korean students, it was recommended that trends toward time management and social policy should increase the time allocation to sleeping, housework, work, sports, and volunteering and decrease the time use in studying and hobbies.

With respect to this research, the College of Arts and Design, Kon Kuk University founded Design Venture of KKU(Kon Kuk University) in July 2001 as an approach to tackle the issue on how to accept and respond to the waves of changes in paradigms of the 21st century represented by information revolution. Such move is to cope more effectively with the changes in the current educational environment with an aim to secure the competitive edges compatible with the conditions of each college under the uniform and standardized educational systems. Even the professionals in the design fields of this country try to find the significance in bringing out in the open the latent creative talents of the students by improving the quality of our daily necessities and putting the students through more practical training, and in creating international competitiveness of our design field by encouraging the students to gain more diverse experiences. Therefore, the purpose of this research is to present the approaches to revitalize Design Venture of Kon Kuk University which has been managed as part of the efforts to establish the new identity for the design of this country in the 21st century, and to present the new model for an enterprise which, rooted in the College, can grow into a high value-added business. The methodology for this research is based on the case study of Design Venture of Kon Kuk University and investigation into the literature. The contents of this research include the following three steps. Firstly, initial research is made into the background for founding the College of Arts and Design which had been promoted as a differentiated strategy for the long-term and short-term development plan of the College of Arts and Design, in Chungju Campus of Kon Kuk University. Secondly, the basic strategy for Vonchi, brand of Design Venture of KKU and the brand launching process are examined. Thirdly, Various approaches to revitalize the Vonchi brand recognition are collected and analyzed to present the conclusion and the alternative. Such research findings as given above on Design Venture of KKU may satisfy diverse consumer-oriented requirements on the strength of the characterization and differentiation of the college and may enhance the competitive edge of the college.
