  • Recent rapid economical growth has brought many of changes and great improvement in quality of life in Korea. In accordance with this social trend, there are diversified lifestyles which influence consumer behavior, The purpose of this study was to develop an instrument that is able to measure more efficiently current housing lifestyle pattern. Eighty questioning items were analyzed and reclassified into same characteristics by using Q-sorting method.

소비사회와 청소년 소비문화 (Consumption Society and the Consumption Culture of Adolescents)

  • In post-industrial society consumption takes a role as a means of acquiring unique lifestyle of style especially for the new generation. The purpose of this study was to identify consumption culture of adolescents in the context of consumerism culture. The use of goods in order to create social distinctions and to establish self-identity was note in is new generation's consumption culture and it was argued that advertising and other media attach images of beauty fulfilment and good life and that they persuade adolescents to have such lifestyle through buying consumer goods. It was also argued that the consumption culture of adolescents is strongly related to the counter-culture or counter-school culture. Implications were discussed with respect to future research area.

Two-Part Model Analysis of Artificially Sweetened Soda Purchase Behavior In Terms of the Food Health Stereotypes of "Vice" and "Virtue"

  • The domestic artificially sweetened beverage market has grown rapidly in recent years, and sodas have led this growth. This study investigated consumer food purchasing behavior of artificially sweetened sodas in terms of the food health stereotypes of "vice" and "virtue"; used to denote unhealthy and healthy food purchases, respectively. The study was conducted using consumer panel data collected by the Rural Development Administration from 2017 to 2020. Given the semi-continuous nature of artificially sweetened soda purchases, Cragg's two-part model was used for the analysis. The probability of purchasing artificially sweetened sodas increased as expenditure on snacks (a vice food category) increased. However, of those panelists who purchased artificially sweetened sodas, expenditure on artificially sweetened sodas decreased with expenditure on snacks and increased with expenditure on fruits (a virtue food category). These results suggest that vicious-lifestyle consumers choose artificially sweetened sodas when they regulate eating habits, whereas virtuous-lifestyle consumers increase artificially sweetened soda expenditure for hedonic consumption to reduce guilt based on a sensible trade-off effect.

  • As wine is increasingly becoming a lifestyle beverage among local consumers, there is a great need to understand wine consumer profiles. According to the research of this study, there is a clear evidence that four wine consumer groups exist in the Korean domestic wine market. Wine consumers are classified into four different groups: connoisseurs, aspirants, newcomers, and outsiders. This study has shown that wine with rich aroma and red wine preferred the most and young wine and white wine are the least selected in general.

라이프스타일과 의료이용 의사결정과정 분석 (An Analysis on Decision-making Process Regarding the Use of Medical Service According to Lifestyle)

  • The purpose of this study is to establish strategy by subdividing consumer market according to the lifestyle which influences the use of medical facilities. The subject of this study were 700 adults who were over 20 years of age and residing in Suwon and its vicinity. To collect data trained staff conducted person-to-person interviews with the assistance of structured questionnaires. The questionnaires cover the areas of life style pattern study. the characteristics of demographic sociology, decision-making process related to the use of medical service. The influencing factors were analyzed and as a result total 18 factors were singled out. Cluster analysis was performed to differentiate similar responses. Each group was named as 'health-unconcern type' 'passive health-concern type' 'regular health-concern type' and 'active health-concern type' according to the characteristics. Each group showed statistically significant difference in the characteristics of demographic sociology. Decision-making process regarding the use of medical service according to lifestyle was analyzed. As a result following items showed significant difference:whether the information was utilized, what was the criteria in selecting medical facilities for serious illness or complicated examination. who was the decision maker in selection medical facilities, and with whom one discussed in selecting medical facilities. The result of this study has its limitation in that it can not be applied directly to market subdivision. However, this will help medical facilities understand customers' lifestyle. which will eventually provide medical facilities with marketing tools in establishing effective PR strategy. In order to apply the lifestyle as a marketing tool of medical facilities, following tasks are to be carried out: the development of the questionnaire which can better analyze consumers' lifestyle related to the use of medical service. the examination of precise characteristics of subdivided market according to lifestyle. and the continuing study on the relationship between lifestyle and the process in selecting medical facilities.

  • 由于生产的全球化以及国家之间的文化交流, 东方元素越来越吸引世界的眼球. 在时装界, 一个时装设计师的文化背景往往可以催生新颖的设计理念, 使他卓尔不群. 人们对于东方元素的喜爱, 给传统时装市场带来了巨大的商机, 并且把基于文化的业务拓展到全球时装市场. 然而, 包含韩国传统文化的国际品牌还有待开发. 为了发展有韩国特色的国际品牌, 韩国人首先要在国内服装市场上认同本国文化, 然后才能进军国外市场. 便服非常适合采纳韩国元素, 因为这种衣服有很多用途, 很容易被广泛接受和使用. 而且, 多用途便服和时尚内衣的市场需求越来越大. 尽管便服市场在快速发展, 但是对便服的专门研究尚不多见, 目前在对发展中的现代化传统服装、时尚产品和品牌的研究中, 并不包括对便服的研究. 因此, 本论文调查了韩国的便服市场, 研究了消费者对含有韩国传统时装设计特色的便服的评价. 分析了对于韩国传统时装设计元素有购买意向的先例之间的关系, 并且比较了不同生活群体的消费目标. 产品质量, 零售服务质量, 感受价值以及对拥有韩国传统设计元素的便服的喜好被作为购买意向的先决条件. 同时, 本文设计了一个结构方程模型, 用于探讨它们之间的关系以及它们对购买意图的影响. 产品质量和市场营销中的零售服务质量结合在一起, 成为影响人们对韩国特色便服的偏好和价值感知的因素. 而且, 偏好和价值感知对购买意向的影响可以用同一模型来检验. 通过网上调查系统由女性消费者完成了一共357份的自填式问卷, 并制定了一份调查样本人群的生活方式、对于产品和销售服务的标准、对于韩国特色便服的价值感知、偏好以及购买意向的调查问卷. 此外, 问卷还将调查便服的采购和使用行为, 以便检验韩国便服的市场地位. 并且使用描述性分析, 因素分析, 聚类分析来分析数据, 以及使用AMOS 7.0.来进行方差分析和建立结构方程模型. 对于韩国便服市场地位的调查结果显示, 在我们的样本人群中大多数消费者都购买了便服. 便服在目前被认为是在家里穿的衣服, 是消费者比较而言投入较低的衣服. 在调查中显示, 大多数消费者每年仅仅购买2到3次便服, 花费在10美元以下. 购买便服的消费者们的生活方式共有四类: 传统价值导向的生活方式, 品牌影响的生活方式, 追求休闲的生活方式以及健康导向的生活方式, 这四类共计有12个项目. 基于这些生活方式要素, 便服消费者们又可以分为两类: 安乐派和保守派. 文章估量了对含有韩国传统时尚设计元素的便服的购买行为各组成部分之间的关系, 产品质量和零售服务质量都会影响到购买便服的偏好和价值感知. 这个研究结论证明, 高质量的产品和零售服务会对便服形成积极的优先效应. 价值感知和对便服的偏好会对购买意图产生积极的影响. 这个结果表明, 对便服所含有的韩国传统时尚设计因素的强烈偏好和价值感知能增强购买意图. 在两种不同生活方式的群体(即安乐派和保守派)的模型比较中, 结果显示产品质量和零售服务质量对安乐派群体的偏好和感知价值都有积极影响. 然而, 对保守派来说, 只有零售服务质量对偏好和购买意图有积极的影响. 由于安乐派对购买意图显示出更重大的影响, 包含韩国传统时尚设计因素的便服品牌应该关注安乐派的这些特征. 然而, 保守派对包含韩国传统时尚设计因素的便服在偏好和购买意图的关系中显得更强. 因此对包含韩国传统时尚设计因素的便服品牌来说, 它应该把重点放在如何激发保守群体消费者对便服的积极偏爱上. 这些结果提供了关于韩国便服消费者生活方式的信息, 也对那些计划进入韩国便服市场的时尚品牌, 尤其是那些与现行研究样本相似的, 目标为女性消费者的时尚品牌提供了有用的信息. 这一研究也为便服品牌和那些打算创造含有韩国传统时尚因素的高价值品牌提供了策略和市场洞察力. 考虑到不同生活方式群体的类型和便服或传统时尚商品之间的关系, 品牌设计者和市场策划人员可以运用这一研究成果作为市场定位, 目标设定, 以及市场销售策略的一个参考.

전문의약품 소비자광고가 생활습관 변화에 미치는 영향에 대한 연구 (The Impact of Direct-to-Consumer Advertising of Prescription Medications on Healthy Lifestyle)

  • 전문의약품 소비자광고가 미국에서 급속도로 증가함에 따라 광고가 소비자의 생활습관 변화에 미치는 영향에 대한 관심이 커지고 있다. 전문의약품 소비자광고에 대한 대부분의 선행 연구들이 광고가 소비자 수요에 미치는 영향에 초점을 맞추고 있는데 반해 소비자 행동 특히 건강관련 생활습관 변화에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구는 드물다. 본 연구는 2000년에서 2004년 사이의 미국 소비자 조사와 대중적인 소비자 잡지들에 실린 전문의약품 소비자광고들 중 고지혈증, 고혈압, 당뇨, 비만 치료제 광고를 데이터베이스화한 자료를 이용하여 개별 소비자 수준에서의 광고 노출을 산출하고, 규칙적인 운동, 운동 빈도, 식이 조절 행동에 미치는 영향을 선형확률모형을 이용하여 분석하였다. 본 연구 결과 고지혈증, 고혈압, 당뇨, 비만 등의 만성질환을 보유한 소비자들이 이들 치료제 광고에 노출되어 규칙적인 운동을 할 확률은 감소하는 것으로 나타났으나, 식이조절을 할 확률은 증가하는 것으로 나타났다. 개별 질환 치료제 광고 수준에서 광고 노출의 영향을 살펴본 결과, 고지혈증 보유자들의 경우 고지혈증 치료제 광고 노출이 증가할수록 주당 운동 빈도가 증가할 확률이 높아지는 것으로 나타났으나 고혈압, 비만 환자인 경우 이들 각각의 치료제 광고의 노출이 증가할수록 주당 운동 빈도와 식이 조절을 할 확률이 감소하는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 교육 수준이 낮은 소비자의 경우 광고 노출이 이들이 규칙적으로 운동을 하는데 정의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구의 결과를 통하여 전문 의약품 소비자광고가 소비자와 관련 질환에 따라 다른 영향을 미친다는 것을 알 수 있다. 따라서 전문의약품 소비자광고가 소비자의 건강한 생활습관 향상에 도움이 되도록 하기 위해서는 꾸준한 모니터링이 중요하며, 전문의약품 소비자광고에 건강한 생활습관을 유도할 수 있는 메시지를 포함하도록 규제하는 것이 필요하다.

외식 소비자의 식생활 라이프스타일에 따른 초밥 소비행동 분석 (Sushi Consumption Behavior of Koreans according to Food-related Lifestyle Type among Consumers)

  • The aim of this study was to classify Korean consumers based on their food-related lifestyle type, and to investigate the relationship between sushi consumption and food-related lifestyle type. Self-reported questionnaires were completed by 300 Korean adults. The SPSS 18.0 program was used to analyze the samples. Data was analyzed by frequency, descriptive factor, reliability, cluster analysis, ANOVA, and chi-square test. A factor analysis extracted four factors comprising foodrelated lifestyle, which we named Health-seeking (factor 1), Taste-seeking (factor 2), Convenience-seeking (factor 3), and Economy-seeking (factor 4). According to a cluster analysis based on those four factors, consumers were classified into three clusters. Cluster 1 was the Taste and Health-seeking cluster, Cluster 2 was the Convenience-seeking cluster, and Cluster 3 was the Passive Eating Habits cluster. The results also indicated that the selection attributes of each cluster were significantly different in terms of perception, the global state of sushi, sushi preference, frequency, companions, place of sushi consumption, and preference for different sushi sub-ingredients. Based on these results, consumer characteristics in the sushi market are discussed.
