  • Since the introduction of the C.M(Construction Management)system in the Basic Law of the Construction Industry in 1997, the recent arrangement of construction management engineers in public sector buildings has generally been based on architecture·civilengineering·machinery·landscaping, electricity, telecommunication, fire fighting by the number of M/M(Man and Month). In the field of engineers arrangement in each field, the arrangement of M/M according to the workload of architecture.civilengineering.machinery.landscaping and electricity is inadequate causing conflicts and C.M among construction management engineers. Therefore, this study aims at basic research that is used to identify the problems through the questionnaire and to prepare future improvement plans.

건설공사 시공평가 시기 조정 (Adjust timing of Construction Construction Evaluation)

  • A construction project with a total construction cost of over 10 billion KRW should be evaluated whether construction works are appropriately executed. The evaluation is carried out on quality management, process management, construction management, safety management, environmental management. The implementation period is within 60 days after completion of construction of the construction, from the time when the construction rate of the construction work has progressed by more than 90% to the construction cost. However, the participating construction engineers should prepare the evaluation within the period according to the evaluation criteria, but there are difficulties in preparation for the evaluation due to the reasons such as the change of engineers in charge and loss of data. Therefore, this study proposes the procedure of construction evaluation and adjusts timing of construction evaluation.

  • There has been a lot of research on and release of commercial systems that enable evaluation and visualization of construction methods. These have enabled the selection of good construction plans. However, the process in which engineers build 3D geometry, formulate a schedule and eventually synchronize them is still a time-consuming process. Changing any aspect of the geometry or the schedule and re-linking them is also time-consuming. Therefore, the engineers may compromise on getting the best solution. This paper describes a technique to automate the generation of multiple sets of schedules, quantity takeoffs and 4D visualization from a single 3D model.

  • 최근 책임감리제도가 CM제도로 전환되고 ICEC 등급체계가 도입되는 과정에 건설관련 단체들은 국토교통부에 수시로 의견을 제시하고 있다. 그러나 그 정책 변화에 대하여 도로건설기술자들이 어떻게 인식하고 있는지 조사된 자료가 없다. 본 연구에서는 건설기술교육원에서 직무교육을 받고 있는 도로건설기술자들을 대상으로 CM과 ICEC 등급체계에 대하여 2차례 설문조사를 실시하고 분석하였다. 도로건설기술자들의 응답 추세는 외부 기관에 별도로 의뢰한 설문조사를 통하여 검증하였다. 그 결과를 토대로 하여 엔지니어링업계의 국제경쟁력을 높일 수 있는 건설정책 개선안을 도출하였다.

  • 건설기술자의 역량에 많은 부분 의존하고 있는 건설프로젝트는 건설기술자의 자질과 능력이 핵심적인 인자로 작용하며, 예기치 못한 상황에 대한 즉각적 판단과 문제해결 능력이 건설프로젝트의 성공여부에 직접적인 영향을 미친다. 성공적인 건설프로젝트로 이끌어가기에 적합한 역량을 소지한 건설기술자를 고용하기 위해서는 선발과정에서부터 건설기술자의 역량 평가가 이루어져야 한다. 이에 본 연구에서는 전문가와의 인터뷰를 통해 공통역량 측정에 필요한 영향 인자를 도출한 후, 이를 적용하여 건설기술자의 공통역량 측정을 위한 항목을 제시했다. 또한, 제시된 공통역량 측정 항목에 대하여 계층 분석적 의사결정기법을 활용한 설문조사를 실시하여 가중치를 산정했다.

  • Although the evolution and deployment of information technologies will undoubtedly play an important role in the current construction industry, many engineers are still unsure of the economic value of using these technologies. Especially for the planning of a construction project, a collaboration system to utilize the whole resources is a essential tool for the successful outcome. A detailed, authoritative, and readily accessible information model is needed to enable engineers to make cost-effective decisions among established and innovative plan alternatives. Most engineers rely on limited private experiences when they create solutions or design alternatives. Initial planning is crucial for the success of the construction project. Most construction projects are done through collaboration of engineers who have different specialized knowledge. Information technologies can dramatically enhance the performance of the collaboration. For the information delivery, we need a mediator between engineers. Object-based 3-D models are useful for the communication and decision assistance for the intelligent project design. In this paper, basic guidelines for the 3-D design according to different construction processes are suggested. Adequate interoperability of 3-D objects from any CAD system is essential for the collaboration. Basic architectures of geometry models and their information layer were established to enable interoperability for design checks, estimation and simulation. A typical international project for roadway was chosen for the pilot project. 3-D GIS model was created and bridge information models were created considering several requirements for planning and decision making of the project. From the pilot test, the integrated construction project planning using 3-D information models was discussed and several guidelines were suggested.

  • Safety engineers should be reasonably assigned to construction sites in order to prevent accidents specially for large-scaled projects. More engineering-oriented safety engineers should be assigned to those large-scaled projects because accident causes are found to be due to more technical aspects rather than general safety problems. more experienced engineers should be assigned to larger scaled projects for covering more technical aspects. This one is analyzed by the existing accident results. This study is to find out some formulae to calculate how many safety engineers should be assigned to construction sites, by amounts, by project kinds, by project scales, by engineer grades. So that construction contractor can assign them to their site economically.

  • The purpose of this study is to derive enhancements in terms of construction enterprises to enhance the competitiveness of Korea's overseas construction companies. We have carried out a survey targeting international constriction engineers. s a research result, it was investigated that excellent construction engineers and improvement of construction management competitiveness was necessary. It was ability of financing development and development of international business organizations in construction sector. And it was design ability of FEED and ability of international marketing in design sector.
