  • Holographic Stereogram can provide the depth perception without the visual fatigue and dizziness because it use multiple images acquired from the multiple viewpoints. In order to produce a holographic stereogram, it is necessary to obtain perspective images of a live object and record it on film using a digital hologram printer. when acquiring perspective images, the hologram without distortion can be produced only when the perspective images with a constant distance between the camera and the target is obtained. If the target is small, it is possible to keep the constant distance from the camera to object. but if it is large, this is difficult to keep the constant distance. In this study, we photograph the large object using the POI (Point of Interest) function which is one of the smart flight modes of drone to produce perspective images required for the hologram production. after that, problems such as the unexpected shakings and distance change between camera and object is corrected in post production. as a result, we produce the perspective images.

  • A new blind equalization algorithm that is based on maximizing the probability that the constant modulus errors concentrate near zero is proposed. The cost function of the proposed algorithm is to maximize the probability that the equalizer output power is equal to the constant modulus of the transmitted symbols. Two blind information-theoretic learning (ITL) algorithms based on constant modulus error signals are also introduced: One for minimizing the Euclidean probability density function distance and the other for minimizing the constant modulus error entropy. The relations between the algorithms and their characteristics are investigated, and their performance is compared and analyzed through simulations in multi-path channel environments. The proposed algorithm has a lower computational complexity and a faster convergence speed than the other ITL algorithms that are based on a constant modulus error. The error samples of the proposed blind algorithm exhibit more concentrated density functions and superior error rate performance in severe multi-path channel environments when compared with the other algorithms.

  • This paper proposes an advanced distance relaying based on the DC offset removal filter to minimize the effects of DC offset on a double circuit transmission line. The proposed DC offset removal filter uses only one cycle of data for phasor extraction computation, which does not need to preset the time constant of the DC offset component. This proposed distance relaying uses not only the residual current of the faulted circuit but also mutual current of the healthy adjacent circuit. A series of off-line test results using ATP simulation data show the effectiveness of the an advanced distance relaying.

  • Plasma arc cutting is one of the most widely used processes in metal cutting fields and is a process that produces parted metal plates by cutting them with an arc plasma established between the electrode tip and the plate(workpiece). When the tip-to-workpiece distance varies during cutting, the cut quality, for example the kerf width, is deteriorated by the change of plasma arc. The variations of tip-to-workpiece distance are due to the different factors such as inaccuracies in setting the torch or workpiece, thermal distortions during cutting, and uneven surface of workpiece. The control to keep the tip-to-workpiece distance constant is thus indispensable to improve the flexibility of automatic plasma arc cutting system applications. In this study, an arc sensor which utilizes the electrical signal obtained from the plasma arc itself was developed. The arc sensor has an advantage that no particular sensing device is necessary and real-time sensing of the tip-to-workpiece distance is possible directly under the plasma arc. The relationship between plasma arc voltage and tip-to-workpiece distance was determined through the repeated experimental results. The model was used for developing an automatic tip-to-workpiece distance control system of plasma arc cutting. It could be shown that the proposed system has a successful capability of tip-to-workpiece distance control.

  • A simple beam subjected to a uniformly distributed tangential follower force and the successive two moving spring-mass systems upon it constitute this vibration system. The influences of the velocities of the moving spring-mass system, the distance between the successive two moving spring-mass systems and the uniformly distributed tangential follower force have been studied on the dynamic behavior of a simple beam by numerical method. The uniformly distributed tangential follower force is considered within its critical value of a simple beam without the successive two moving spring-mass systems, and three kinds of constant velocities and constant distance of the successive two moving spring-mass systems are also chosen. Their coupling effects on the transverse vibration of the simple beam are inspected too.

  • The photocatalytic decolorization of Rhodamine B (RhB) was studied using packed-bed reactor and immobilized $TiO_2/UV$ System. The 20 W UV-A, UV-B and UV-C lamps were employed as the light source. The effect of shape and surface polishing extent of reflector, distance between the reactor and reflector, reactor material were investigated. The results showed that the order of the initial reaction constant with reflector shape was round > polygon > W > rhombus. The optimum distance between the reactor and reflector was 2 cm. The initial reaction constant of quartz reactor was 1.46 times higher than that of tile PVDF reactor.

  • This paper, experiment manufactures device of Metal/Poly-$\gamma-Benzyl\;_D-Glutamate$ Organic Films/Metal structure using PBDG and I-V properties and C-F properties. The I-V characteristic is measured that approve voltage from 0 to +2[V] of device and the distance between electrode is larger, could know that small current flow and thin film could know that had insulation property. C-F characteristic has each other affinity between the polarization amount and frequency. Dielectric constant of MIM device could know by dipole that is voluntary polarization of LB film that polarization is happened. The capacitor properties of a thin film is better as the distance between electrodes is smaller.

  • Deep archival V and I image data taken with Hubble Space Telescope have been used to investigate compact stellar objects in an anemic spiral galaxy NGC 4921 in the Coma cluster. We resolve a significant fraction of globular clusters based on the reconstructed master drizzled image data. The color distribution of globular clusters (GCs) shows a clear bimodal distribution. The blue and red GC populations show significantly different radial number density profiles. We derive the turnover magnitudes of globular cluster luminosity functions (GCLFs) for the blue and red GCs in the bulge and halo of NGC 4921. We also derive the GCLFs of two Coma cD galaxies, NGC 4874 and NGC 4889, and one coma S0 galaxy, NGC 4923. Turnover magnitudes of GCs in four galaxies agree well within uncertainties. A mean distance of four Coma galaxies is derived from turnover magnitudes of GCLFs. A value of the Hubble constant is determined from this distance estimate and radial velocity of the Coma. We discuss implications of our results in relation with the recent determinations of the Hubble constant.

  • Complex-valued blind algorithms which are based on constant modulus error and Euclidian distance (ED) between two probability density functions show relatively poor performance in spite of the advantages of information theoretic learning since the inherent characteristics of the constant modulus error prevent the algorithm from coping with the symbol phase rotation caused by the complex channels. In this paper, we show that the symbol phase rotation problem can be avoided and the advantages of information theoretic learning can be preserved by introducing decision-directed mode to the blind algorithm whenever the equalizer output power lies in the neighborhood of multi-modulus levels. Simulation results through MSE convergence and constellation comparison for severely distorted complex channels show significantly enhanced performance of symbol-point concentration and no phase rotation problems caused by the complex channel models.

  • The steam generator tubes of power plant damaged by sliding wear due to flow-induced motion of foreign object. Amount of wear have been predicted by Achard's wear equation until now. However, there are large error and low reliability, because this equation regards wear coefficient(k) as constant. The sliding wears tests have been performed at room temperature to examine parameters of wear (wear distance, contact stress). The steam generator tube material for wear test is used Inconel 600 and foreign object material is used 304 austenite stainless steel. The sliding wear tests show that the amount of wear is not linearly proportional to the wear distance(for 374 austenite stainless steel). According to experimental result, wear coefficient is not constant k but function k(s) of wear distance. The newly modified wear predictive equation V=k(s)F have small error and high reliability.
