탄소섬유시트를 활용한 터널의 보수.보강 (The Repair and Reinforcement of Tummel using The Carbon Fiber Sheet)

  • Most of existing tunnels in Korea have structural and material defects, such as lack of the thickness in the crown and presence of an opening behind thie lining as a result of its construction. In Japan, it is said that carbon fiver sheet is very attractive for the upgrading damaged tunnel due to its good tensile strength, handability and resistance to corrosion. This report is the summary of the applicability of continous carbon fiber sheet for a repair and reiforcement of existing tummel located in Masan. It is the aim of this study to analyze the site data related to consturcion method used carbon fiber sheet.

  • FBG sensor system is applied to the concrete lining structure in Taegu subway. Near the structure, the power cable tunnel construction started. We wanted to measure the deformation of the structure due to the construction by the FBG sensor. The applied sensor has the gauge length of 1 meter to overcome the inhomogeneity of the concrete material with enough length. In order to fix tightly to the structure, the partially stripped parts of the sensor glued to the package and slip phenomenon between fiber and acrylate jacket was prevented. Prestrain of the sensor was imposed by controlling the two fixed points with bolts and nuts in order to measure compressive strain as well as tensile strain. The behavior of subway lining structure could be monitored very well.

  • As one of countermeasures for vibration and noise source which come from train operation in subway system, the heavy-weighted tunnel structure and the low-vibration track design have been adopted. In recent the low-vibration concrete track have been constructed to enhance the maintenance effectiveness as well as the reduction of vibration. This paper is explaining and evaluating of the characteristics of vibration and its effects comparing to tile ballast track, concrete track, and full surface supported floating slab track installed on Express bus terminal in Seoul subway No. 7 line.

  • The setting time is very important factor affecting the quality of tunnel lining and reinforcement of sloped slope etc. Currently, however, the quality criteria of accelerating admixture to improve it is not established well. In this study, evaluation on setting time measuring methods of a cement accelerating admixture was performed. Six types of measuring methods were checked and a proper measuring method of the admixture were proposed as fellows: (1) the temperature of materials used shall be controlled exactly and (2) to evaluate the properties of it, an admixture usage of $5\%$ (ratio of cement weight) is recommended.

  • Recently, construction works of scale are getting larger with economic growth. Shotcreting is one of major processes in tunnels construction. Accelerator is used in tunnel and underground structures to ensure early strength of shotcrete. Silicate based accelerator and aluminate based accelerator is getting widely in the field. But these accelerators have many problems due to decesase of long-term strength and low quality of the hardened shotcrete. in order to solve these problems, recently developed powder types cement mineral accelerator. In this study, we tested chloride permeability, freezing and thawing and accelerated carbonation of shotcrete. As a result of the test, wet-mixed shotcrete with powder types cement mineral accelerator exhibited durability improvement compared to the conventional shotcrete accelerator.

  • In this study, evaluation of fire-resistant performance for polypropylene fiber-mixed mortar was performed to establish specification for stability of tunnel structure against fire afterward. In the fire-resistant performance test with mix proportion of polypropylene fiber, cracks were observed for mortar under 0.15% of fiber content, but micro-cracks were remarkably reduced for mortar more than 0.2% of fiber content. From the results, we are concluded that optimal mix proportion of polypropylene fiber is $0.20{\sim}0.25%$.

도시철도 차량의 차음향상에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Increase of Transmission Loss of Metro Train)

  • Lower tunnels and concrete based tracks are introduced to newly constructed metro lines to reduce the construction and track maintenance fees. But such a lower tunnel together with concrete based track causes higher interior noise of metro trains. It is required that the trains should not only be a transportation media but also be comfortable. So, to lower the metro train's interior noise level, design was made to increase the transmission loss per sectional part. Through such a design, it is expected that about 7 dB(A) of noise level will be reduced compared to that of the conventional train.

  • The construction of concrete slab track system is increased recently but the noise level on slab track is 3dB(A) higher than the one on ballast track since most of noise is reflected on slab track. Currently, concrete slab track systems has been designed for Gyungbu high speed line stage 2 and Honam high speed line. For those tracks, noise absorbing blocks are considered. In this paper, noise absorbing blocks were installed at Hwang Hak tunnel for evaluation of noise absorbing blocks and the indoor noise of KTX was measured. The results have done comparative analysis.

교통량과 콘크리트 라이닝 균열 상관관계 분석 (Correlation analysis of traffic and crack in concrete lining)

  • 본 연구에서는 교통량과 균열 두 변수에 대한 관계성을 분석하기 위하여 공분산 분석 및 피어슨 상관관계 분석을 수행하였다. 이를 위하여 국도터널 216개소에 대한 정밀안전점검, 정밀안전진단 시행결과 및 교통량을 조사/분석하였다. 분석결과 교통량과 콘크리트 라이닝에 발생하는 균열은 높은 상관성을 보이는 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 균열 보수 등 선제적 유지관리는 교통량을 고려한 계획수립을 수행하는 것이 바람직하다.

  • The Address Jumeirah Resort is a mixed-use 77-story tower reaching a height of 301 meters with a slenderness ratio of 13.5:1. The development is situated in the Jumeirah Beach District and accommodates 217 key five-star hotel suites, 478 residential apartments, 444 serviced-branded apartments, retail shops, ballrooms and entertainment facilities around the premises. The building has over 242,000 m2 of usable area. The project is an award-winning development that broke multiple Guinness records. The focus of the paper is to present the challenges faced in the structural design and construction of the super tall tower and the highest occupiable skybridge in the world.
