This paper aimed to explore research trends for the conceptualization of IT humanities. Reflecting domestic and international references which focused on the possibility of the integration of digital technology and humanities, the authors examined the beginning, background, and relevant concepts of IT humanities to figure out the meaning and the research trends. In addition, using the search word "IT humanities," the authors analyzed network topics of the keywords retrieved from 1,566 KCI and 64 SCI journal articles published since 2001. The concept of IT humanities in the previous studies has tended to associate with competencies that allow considering various fields of IT based on the lens of humanities perspectives. The result of the topic modeling revealed four groups as fields to be integrated with IT humanities, methods of implementation, connections of literature or culture, and creations of IT humanities. Instead of instrumentalization or merger by one stance of IT or humanities, it is imperative to collaboratively work for the generation of a new viewpoint through mutual respect of disciplines.

The objective of the study was to cast a frame for the integrating concept of successful aging together with for understanding both elderly problems and aging, which was one of the major issues in aging society. For this, the author reviewed the meaning of aging and also made a general survey of both affirmative change such as growth and development and negative change with regard to aging. Particularly, it was observed that wisdom is a key factor for successful aging. The existing theory of successful aging and major study results were reviewed. As a result, the author proposed an integrated conceptualization of successful aging under the general discussion of the limits of existing theory and also explained the characteristics and implications of an integrated conceptualization of successful aging in line with the discussion on the definition of the integrated concept of successful aging.

At what point in the process of speech production are gestures involved? According to the Lexical Retrieval Hypothesis, gestures are involved in the lexicalization in the formulating stage. According to the Information Packaging Hypothesis, gestures are involved in the conceptual planning of massages in the conceptualizing stage. We investigated these hypotheses, using the game situation in a TV program that induced the players to involve in both lexicalization and conceptualization simultaneously. The transcription of the verbal utterances was augmented with all arm and hand gestures produced by the players. Coverbal gestures were classified into two types of gestures: lexical gestures and motor gestures. As a result, concrete words elicited lexical gestures significantly more frequently than abstract words, and abstract words elicited motor gestures significantly more frequently than concrete words. The difficulty of conceptualization in concrete words was significantly correlated with the amount of lexical gestures. However, the amount of words and the word frequency were not correlated with the amount of both gestures. This result supports the Information Packaging Hypothesis. Most of all, the importance of motor gestures was inferred from the result that abstract words elicited motor gestures more frequently rather than concrete words. Motor gestures, which have been considered as unrelated to verbal production, were excluded from analysis in many gestural studies. This study revealed motor gestures seemed to be connected to the abstract conceptualization.

Iksan(翼算) written by Lee Sang Hyuk(李相赫, 1810∼\ulcorner) is unique among mathematical books published in Chosun Dynasty since it is the only book which accomplishes the conceptualization of theory of equations if not that of mathematics itself. We investigate its process by his other publications and mathematical interaction with Nam Byung Gil(南秉吉, 1820∼1869).

This study used big data analysis as informatics that identified keywords related to new-tro fashion; in addition, it conducted differences and types of classification according to demographic characteristics. First, it has been shown that two different generations, the Millennials and the older generation, coexist as important keywords in the context of new-tro fashion. Second, according to age, it has been shown that the keywords that appear in new-tro fashion are taken differently. In most regional keywords that differed in the classification, respondents in their 20s, 30s and 40s were classified as emotional, while those in their 50s or older perceived as factual phenomena. The results of eliciting keywords in new-tro fashion through big data analysis, keywords that reflect phenomena, design details and considerations, fashion styles, fashion brands, fashion items, social media, influence, and emotional adjectives. This study confirmed the meaning of new-tro fashion based on past that can give enjoyment to the new generation and memories to the older generation.

According to Piaget, children aged 11 are in the middle of concrete operation period and formal operation period. So, it is necessary to adopt the Learning Cycle Model (LCM) which helps students improve their cognitive development. After determining the test for the Science Concept of Matter (SCOM), the experimental group showed higher average than the comparative group in the post-test. In the sound understanding, the experimental group showed higher ratio than the comparative group. And in the ratio of imperfect, wrong understanding and no response, the experimental group was lower than the comparative group. On the questions that were needed the complicated inquiry, many students of both groups still couldn't find the fundamental cause. In forming the scientific conceptualization, there was a meaningful difference (p < .001) after post-test Analysis of Covariance (ANCOVA) with pre-test result. After determining the test for the Test Inquiry Science Process (TISP), the experimental group showed higher average than the comparative group in the post-test. In the category of basic inquiry process which is needed in concrete operation, there was a meaningful difference (p < .05). In the category of unified inquiry process which is needed in formal operation, they showed no meaningful difference (p > .05). Therefore, applying the LCM to the chapter of 'Solution and Dissolving' is more effective on improving the scientific conceptualization and on helping the concrete operation abilities than the teacher centered learning.

Understanding mutual impacts between the ocean and human beings is integral to sustainability of the Earth. Ocean literacy, therefore, is placed as a new paradigm of marine education in North America and Europe. Reflecting this movement, it is necessary for Korean marine educators to discuss conceptualization and future directions of Korean marine education. We reviewed marine education of North America as well as Korea in the domains of formal and informal marine education. We provide the definition, goal, and future recommendations for Korean marine education.

This study investigated the cases of relative location, especially focused on the geomorphological situation, for the conceptualization of the location knowledge. In order to perform this study, first of all, I approached meaning of location. In this study I used the terms 'site' and 'situation'. 'Site' as used here means the location of a given place with its local internal features or resources. 'Situation' refers to the location of place as related to other places. As to location, no place exists in isolation. Therefore, it is necessary to look beyond the internal nature of the area itself to perceive its external relations with other areas. The examples of geomorphological situation were focused on the scale linkage of the examples, the interaction between elements of earth surface processes, and the method of comparative region. The regions of examples were the landscape of Mt. Hymalaya to Bengal deep sea fan, the climatical difference of continental east and west, the landscape of Mt. Geum & Sangju beach, the landscape of the south and north face of Mt. Mai., Hamjibaakgol asymmetrical valley, and the landscape of inland sea and outer sea type island.
