The concept of intermittent interlaminar bonding is investigated as a means of improving the fracture toughness of cross-ply Gr/Ep composites without significant loss of tensile strength and modulus. The concept of linear elastic fracture mechanics(LEFM)is used to study the effects of strong bonded area and bonding composites. The experimental results indicate that the fracture toughness and notch strength of intermittent interlaminar bonded composities are improved and the tensile strength only decreased by 3-8% in comparison to those of the fully bonded composites. Damage zones around the crack tip are detected by the modified X-Ray non-destructive testing technique and the fractography. The improvement of toughness is explained based on the damage zones. The mechanisms of damage zone are shown to be caused by subcrack along the fiber on the 0.deg. ply, matrix cracking along the fiber on the 90.deg. ply, interlaminar delamination, and ply pull-out of the 0.deg. ply.
Resistive therapeutic exercise prescription goal is to improve functional performance and capabilities through the development of increased muscular strengh endurance or power. Resistance can be applied to either dynamic or static muscle contractions. Resistive therapeutic exorcise can be carried nut concentrically, eccentrically, isometrically, isokinetically. Neurodevelopmental treatment has not resistive therapeutic exercise concept. But proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitate techniques have resistive therapeutic exercise concept with pattens and techniques. It is aid muscle contraction, motor control and increase strength. Manual muscle testing will help the therapist establish a qualitative and quantitative baseline level of strength. Manual resistance maybe applied a against controlled lengthening contraction re static contraction of a muscle. A repetition maximum is not easy to calculate and is not the most accurate method available today to measure strength before of after a resistive therapeutic exercise program. Oddvar Holten Diagram is essy to calculate and is the most accurate method available today to measure strength before of after a resistive therapeutic exercise program. Plyometric training emphasize the development of muscular power and coordination. Quick bursts of force in functional movement patterns are often necessary of a patient is to return to high-demand occupational, recreational or sports related activities.

Dysfunction of the anterior and dorsal muscles of the trunk have been studied in relation to low back pain of many years. Many muscles of the trunk are capable of contributing to the stabilization and protection of the lumbar spine, recent evidence has suggested that transversus abdominis may be critically involved and has been the focus of rehabilitation. The delay in onset of contraction of trunk muscles associated with movement of the upper or lower limb in patients with low back pain indicates a significant deficit in the automatic motor command for control of disturbance to the spine. The function of transversus abdominis has been largely ignored in the evaluation of spinal stabilization and protection. The most essential stabilizing muscles for the lumbar column are the transversus abdominis and the multifidus. Sling exercise therapy(SET) concept consists of a system of diagnosis and treatment. The system of diagnosis involves testing the muscle's tolerance through progressive loading in open and close kinetic chains. The SET system contains elements such as relaxation, increasing the range of movement, traction, training the stabilizing musculature, sensorimotor exercises, training in open and close kinetic chains, dynamic training of the mobilizing musculature, cardiovasc+ular exercises, group exercise, personal exercise at home. Sensorimotor training is an essential element of the SET concept. The emphasis is on closed kinetic chain exercises on an unstable surface, thereby achieving optimum stimulation of the sensorimotor apparatus.

Relaxed static stability(RSS) concept has been applied to improve aerodynamic performance of modem version supersonic jet fighter aircraft. Therefore, flight control system are necessary to stabilize an unstable aircraft and provides adequate handling qualities. Also, flight control systems of modem version aircraft employ a safety system to support emergency situations such as a pilot unknown attitude flight conditions of an aircraft in night flight-testing. This situation is dangerous because the aircraft can lose if the pilot not take recognizance of situation. Therefore, automatic recovery system is necessary. The system called the "Pilot Activated Recovery System" or PARS, provided a pilot initiated automatic maneuver capable of an aircraft recoveries in situations of unusual attitudes. This paper addresses the concept of PARS and designed using nonlinear control law design process based on model of supersonic jet trainer. And, this control law is verified by nonlinear analysis and real-time pilot evaluation using in-house software. The result of evaluation reveals that the PARS support recovery of an aircraft unusual attitude and improve a safety of an aircraft.
We present a novel concept of a phase-shifting diffraction-grating interferometer, which is intended for the optical testing of concave mirrors with high precision. The interferometer is configured with a single reflective diffraction grating, which performs multiple functions of beam splitting, beam recombination, and phase shifting. The reference and test wave fronts are generated by means of reflective diffraction at the focal plane of a microscope objective with large numerical aperture, which allows testing fast mirrors with low f-numbers. The fiber-optic confocal design is adopted for the microscope objective to focus a converging beam on the diffractive grating, which greatly reduces the alignment error between the focusing optics and the diffraction grating. Translating the grating provides phase shifting, which allows measurement of the figure errors of the test mirror to nanometer accuracy.

Earned Value Management System(EVMS) has been institutionalized as an advanced management technique of construction project lately. And its research has been in the active progress in order to utilize the earned value concept as a project management tool for construction project ordered by both government and private sector. However it is necessary to test and prove the EVMS's adaptability to our construction environment by EVMS's several of operations before its introduction. Project forecasting phase of EVMS is the Estimate at Completion by utilizing earned value data. So, the purpose of this study is to propose EAC evaluation method for evaluation the accuracy of the EAC and encouraging cost realism, and to test for proving the validity of the evaluation methods through hypothesis testing.
In this paper, the vibro-acoustic behaviors of vibrational cylindrical shells are investigated by using structural intensity approach. The reducing interior noise method for vibrating cylindrical shells is proposed by altering and redistributing the structural intensity through changing the damping property of the structure. The concept of proposed novel method is based on the properties of structural intensity distribution on cylindrical shells under different load and damping conditions, which can reflects power flow in the structures. In the study, the modal formulas of structural intensity are developed for the steady state vibration of cylindrical shell structures. The detailed formulas of structural intensity are derived by substituting modal quantities, in which the effect of main parameters such as weight coefficients and distribution functions on structure intensity are analyzed and discussed. Numerical simulations are first carried out based on the structural intensity analytical solutions of modal formulas. Through simulating the coupling vibration and acoustical radiation problems of cylindrical shell, the relationship between vibro-acoustic and structural intensity distribution is derived. We find that for cylindrical shell, by properly arranging damping conditions, the structural intensity can be efficiently changed and further the noise property can be improved. The proposed methodology has important implications and potential applications in the vibration and noise control of fuselage structure.

This paper investigates the damage identification of the concrete pile element through axial wave propagation technique using computational and experimental studies. Now-a-days, concrete pile foundations are often common in all engineering structures and their safety is significant for preventing the failure. Damage detection and estimation in a sub-structure is challenging as the visual picture of the sub-structure and its condition is not well known and the state of the structure or foundation can be inferred only through its static and dynamic response. The concept of wave propagation involves dynamic impedance and whenever a wave encounters a changing impedance (due to loss of stiffness), a reflecting wave is generated with the total strain energy forked as reflected as well as refracted portions. Among many frequency domain methods, the Spectral Finite Element method (SFEM) has been found suitable for analysis of wave propagation in real engineering structures as the formulation is based on dynamic equilibrium under harmonic steady state excitation. The feasibility of the axial wave propagation technique is studied through numerical simulations using Elementary rod theory and higher order Love rod theory under SFEM and ABAQUS dynamic explicit analysis with experimental validation exercise. Towards simulating the damage scenario in a pile element, dis-continuity (impedance mismatch) is induced by varying its cross-sectional area along its length. Both experimental and computational investigations are performed under pulse-echo and pitch-catch configuration methods. Analytical and experimental results are in good agreement.

In this study, a program for statistics education is developed. This program deals with statistical hypothesis testing which is indispensible to demonstrate the research hypothesis. Statistical inference which is the process of using data obtained from a sample to make inference about the characteristics of a population is an essential concept to peoples to learn or use statistics. But in practice, there are many cases of wrong application and peoples think that statistics is hard to understand. Therefore, it is very important subject to teach easily and rightly statistics, specially elementary statistics. This program is developed especially for non-specialist. This program under multimedia environment which includes sound, video, animation etc. can interest students greatly. It doesn't show only the result but make it possible for students to execute the program by stages. By executing it, the students can understand the method and meaning of statistical hypothesis testing naturally.
Advanced surface movement guidance and control system (A-SMGCS) is a system providing routing, guidance and surveillance for the control of aircraft and vehicles in order to maintain the predetermined surface movement rate under all weather conditions while maintaining the required level of safety. In the present study, system engineering was introduced to develop the compliance procedure for the A-SMGCS. At first, requirements for the level IV A-SMGCS were defined and analyzed from the concept of operations (CONOPS). Then, system architecture and specifications were constructed through the functional analysis and allocation. After that, work breakdown structure (WBS) and related integrated master schedule (IMS) were established. Lastly, compliance checklist (CCL) and test and evaluation master plan (TEMP) were developed to verify and validate the system.
