In order to protect agricultural products against damage by physical load, various shock absorbing materials is used. As the demands of environment protection increase, the use of plastic materials have been restricted. On the other hand, Pulp mold products have some benefits - easy manufacturing, superior shock absorbing and eco-friendly. In order to develop pulp mold tray for melon packaging as shock absorbing packaging material, we investigated physical properties and vibration transmission characters of 180, 200 and 220 g pulp mold tray for melon. As the weight of pulp increased, compression strength and shock absorbing performance increased, while vibration transmissibility decreased. Especially in case of 180g pulp mold tray, it is not suitable for melon packaging because the transmitted vibration acceleration was higher than the forced vibration acceleration. And 200g pulp mold tray is suitable for melon packaging because the vibration transmissibility was lowest in three trays. And the vibration acceleration transmitted to the melon in edge of pulp mold tray was higher than to the melon in center of pulp mold tray. As the result of the simulated transportation test, the firmness of melon packaging using pulp mold tray was higher than that of conventional packaging. Therefore, these results suggest that pulp mold tray packaging could be suitable for melon packaging.
Packaging of export cut lilies reduces physical damage during distribution like dropping, shock, vibration, compression and serves to protect from necrosis, microbial contamination and decomposition. Study on which packaging materials must be selected is necessary because it serves to direct effect maintaining quality and the degree of freshness. newspaper, perforated OPP film, Oriented Nylon film (ON), punched OPP film, OPP films are used in this study. Plant senescence of lilies was happened rapidly during storage at $25^{\circ}C$ rather than at $5^{\circ}C$. Also, water absorption, fresh weight at during storage $25^{\circ}C$ rather than at $5^{\circ}C$ In addition, fresh weight of lilies storage at $25^{\circ}C$ appears higher than at $5^{\circ}C$ all of the packaging materials except OPP because water absorption of lily storage at $5^{\circ}C$ appears higher than at $25^{\circ}C$, thereby suppressing the fresh weight reducing Also, effect on biological activity of lilies from shape of packaging material appears higher during storage at $5^{\circ}C$ than at $25^{\circ}C$. Compared with each packaging materials, newspaper packaging is the smallest effect on changes in biological activity of cut lilies during storage. Thus, the results demonstrate that flowering date are affected mainly by the storage temperature rather than packaging materials.

The application of newly developed fiber-sheet and steel-plate composite plate (FSP) as a means of improving strength and ductility capacity of concrete cylinders under axial compression load through confinement is investigated experimentally in this study. An experimental investigation involves axial load tests of two types of FSP strengthening material, two anchoring methods, and three concrete strengths. The FSP-confined cylinder tests showed that FSP provided a substantial gain in compressive strength and deformability. The performance of FRP-confined cylinders was influenced by type of the FSP strengthening material, the anchoring method, and concrete compressive strength. The FSP failure strains obtained from FSP-confined cylinder tests were higher than those from FRP-confined cylinder tests. The magnitude of FSP failure strain was related to the FSP composite effectiveness. The effects of FSP confinement on the concrete microstructure were examined by evaluating the internal concrete damage using axial, radial, and volumetric strains. From the observations obtained in this investigation, it is believed that FSP is one of the best solutions for the confinement of concrete compressive members.
It has been pointed out that the collapses of unsaturated road embankments caused by earthquake are attributed to high water content caused by the seepage of the underground water and/or the rainfall infiltration. Hence, it is important to study influences of water content on the dynamic stability and deformation mode of unsaturated road embankments for development of a proper design scheme including an effective reinforcement to prevent severe damage. This study demonstrates dynamic centrifugal model tests with different water contents to investigate the effect of water content on deformation and failure behaviors of unsaturated road embankments. Based on the measurement of displacement, the pore water pressure and the acceleration during dynamic loading, dynamic behavior of the unsaturated road embankments with about optimum water content and the higher water content than the optimum one have been examined. In addition, an image analysis has revealed the displacement field and the distributions of strains in the road embankment, by which deformation mode of the road embankment with higher water content has been clarified. It has been confirmed that in the case of higher water content the settlement of the crown is large mainly owing to the volume compression underneath the crown, while the small confining pressure at the toe and near the slope surface induces large shear deformation with volume expansion.

This study was conducted to improve the insufficiency of fruit vegetable grafting system developed by National Institute of Agricultural Sciences, Rural Development Administration. When the rotary blade cut the stem of scions and rootstocks, the grafting failure at curved cutting surfaces happened. The cutting depth of a tomato seedling by a rotated cutter was calculated 0.11 mm even when the cutting arm length and the maximum stem diameter were 50 mm and 5 mm, respectively. Mathematical analysis and high-speed photography showed that there was no problem by cutting in straight the stem of scions and rootstocks. The compression test of seedling stems to design the optimal shape of gripper showed that stems were not completely restored when they were compressed above 0.8 mm and 0.6 mm in case of rootstocks and scion, respectively. This study found that the bending angle of stem of tomato seedlings at the grafting period was 10 degree on average. The optimal gripper finger was the edge finger type which could be precisely set center point by adjusting the distance between fingers. In addition, it was found that most of seedling could be grasped without damage when the finger-to-finger distances is set to 2.5 mm for scion and 3.0 mm for rootstocks and finger are coated by 1 mm-thick flexible material.
With the development of construction technology, constructions of dam and levee (dike) as well as the environmental problems are becoming issues. Recently, many countries have tried to develop and used CSG (Cemented Sand and Gravel), which needs fewer requirements than others in aggregates, constructability and ground condition during the dam construction. Mixing up with small amount of cement, CSG is able to increase the strength and proceed accelerated construction without artificial gradation adjustment of riverbed aggregate and crushed rock on construction site. Thus, CSG can minimize environmental damage resulted from quarries mining and reduce cost of construction. Unlike heat of hydration condition that regular concrete usually met, CSG exposes to repeated dry-wet and freezing and thawing environment. Thus, consider the importance of structure of dam or levee, intensive study on the durability of CSG is needed. In this study, freezing and thawing experiment was carried out to evaluate the durability of CSG. In results, the durability factor of CSG is 30~40 or >40 when the amount of cement is $0.4{\sim}0.6kN/m^3$ or $0.8{\sim}1.0kN/m^3$, respectively. The unconfined compressive strength is reduced to 30~50% or 40~70% when the amount of cement is $0.4{\sim}0.6kN/m^3$ or $0.8{\sim}1.0kN/m^3$, respectively. Taken together, the strength and durability of CSG is reliable when the amount of cement is over $0.8kN/m^3$.

In this paper, the effect of the masonry infill walls on the seismic performance of the reinforced concrete(RC) frames with non-seismic details was evaluated through the static test of an masonry infilled RC frame sub-assemblage with non-seismic details of real size, and comparison with the test results of the RC frame sub-assemblage with non-seismic details. As the test results, lots of cracks occurred on the surface of the entire frame due to the compression of the masonry infilled wall, and the beam-column joint finally collapsed with the expansion of the shear crack and buckling(exposure) of the reinforcement. On the other hand, the stiffness of the shear force-story drift relationship decreased due to the wall sliding crack and column flexural cracks, and the strength finally decreased by around 60% of the maximum strength. The damage that concentrated on the upper and lower parts of columns was dispersed in the entire frame such as columns, a beam, and beam-column joints due to the wall, and the specimen was finally collapsed by expansion of the shear crack of the joint, not the shear crack of the column. Also, the stiffness of RC frame increased by 12.42 times and the yield strength by 3.63 times, while the story drift at maximum strength decreased by 0.18 times.
This study presented the results of the static load tests conducted to verify the structural robustness of the composite oxidant tank for a space launch vehicle. First, we introduced the test equipment used in the static load test of the composite oxidant tank, and then described the test requirements that the composite oxidant tank must satisfy. In addition, we presented a test set-up diagram consisting of the static load test fixture, hydraulic pressure, control equipment, and data acquisition equipment, and the load profile of the static load test of the composite oxidant tank consisting of shear, equivalent compression, bending, and combination tests. As a result of load control, we verified the reliability of this test by showing the errors between the input load and the feedback load in each channel according to the increase of the test load, and the feedback error between the channel A and channel B of load cell in each load actuator. As a result of the static load test, the load of the actuator was properly controlled within the allowable error range in each test, and we found that the test specimen did not cause damage or buckling that causes significant structural defects in the required load.

In recent years, the design of buildings is changing from formal to creative and freeform. Accordingly, the scale of construction technology is changing to architectural design and construction of irregular buildings. Using the FDM method, which is one of the 3D printing technologies, it is possible to manufacture various forms of irregular formwork inexpensively and quickly coMPared to the existing formwork, and it seems to be able to solve the manpower problem. Using a 3D printer, the PLA filament formwork is produced in the form of a cylinder and a rectangular cuboid, and the usability of the PLA filament formwork is confirmed by examining the compression strength test and the degree of deformation and reusability over 28 days of age. Different sizes of additional specimens are also conducted according to the size. As a result of the experiment, it was confirmed that the filament formwork itself has about 3~4MPa strength. As a result of reviewing data through existing linear studies and experiments, it is appropriate to use more than 60% infill, and it is advantageous in terms of strength. As a result of cutting and dismantling the filament formwork, the surface is very clean and there is no damage, so it can be reused.

The increased transport of marine hazardous and noxious substances (HNS) has resulted in frequent HNS spill accidents domestically and internationally. There are about 6,000 species of HNS internationally, and most of them have toxic properties. When an accidental HNS spill occurs, it can destroys the marine ecosystem and can damage life and property due to explosion and fire. Constructing a spectral library of HNS according to wavelength and developing a detection algorithm would help prepare for accidents. In this study, a ground HNS spill experiment was conducted in France. The toluene spectrum was determined through hyperspectral sensor measurements. HNS present in the hyperspectral images were detected by applying the spectral mixture algorithm. Preprocessing principal component analysis (PCA) removed noise and performed dimensional compression. The endmember spectra of toluene and seawater were extracted through the N-FINDR technique. By calculating the abundance fraction of toluene and seawater based on the spectrum, the detection accuracy of HNS in all pixels was presented as a probability. The probability was compared with radiance images at a wavelength of 418.15 nm to select abundance fractions with maximum detection accuracy. The accuracy exceeded 99% at a ratio of approximately 42%. Response to marine spills of HNS are presently impeded by the restricted access to the site because of high risk of exposure to toxic compounds. The present experimental and detection results could help estimate the area of contamination with HNS based on hyperspectral remote sensing.
