Study on the Characteristics of Bread with Jasmin Tea Powder (쟈스민차가루를 이용한 식빵의 특성 연구)

  • This study was designed to investigate the effective ratio of healthy bread with jasmin tea powder. The weight, volume, and color difference of bread with various jasmin tea powder was measured and the picture of bread was taken and the panel test was taken. The weight of bread was increased and the volume was decreased significantly according to increase of jasmin tea powder. To avoid the decrease of volume, the active gluten was added, but there was not shown the increse of bread volume by active gluten. In the result of panel test and volume measurement, addition of 3% jasmin tea powder was appropriate. Therefore, using the jasmin tea powder, the diversity of bread by functionality, nutritional composition, taste, color, flavor of jasmin tea powder can be developed. This result will support the background the development of jasmin tea bread of good quality.

  • Transparent conductive oxide films have been widely used in the field of flat panel display (FPD). Transparent conductive Indium Zinc Oxide (IZO) thin films with excellent chemical stability have attracted much attention as an alternative material for Indium Tin Oxide (ITO) films. In this study, using $In_2O_3$ and ZnO powder mixture with a ratio of 90 : 10 wt% as a target, IZO films are prepared on polynorbornene (PNB) substrates by electron beam evaporation. The effect of thickness and $O_2$ introduction flow rate on the optical, electrical, structural properties and surface composition of deposited IZO films were investigated by UV/Visible spectrophotometer, 4-point probe method, SEM, XRD and XPS.

Heat transfer of green timber wall panels (그린팀버월 패널의 열전달 특성)

  • 20% of total energy use to sustain temperature of building inside. In this reasons, researchers effort to improve the thermal insulation capacity with new wall system. Using appropriate materials and consisting new wall system should considered in energy saving design. OSB(Oriented strand board), Larch lining board used to consist wall system. $2{\sim}6$ Larch lining board has tongue & groove shape for preventing moisture. Comparing with gypsum board and green timber lining board as interior sheathing material, temperature difference of Green timber wall system was bigger than temperature difference of gypsum board wall system. This aspects indicate that Green timber wall system was revealed higher thermal insulation property than gypsum board wall system. Gypsum board portion transfer heat easily because temperature difference gradient of gypsum board wall system was smaller than OSB wall system. Total temperature variation shape of G-4-S and G-6-S show similar model but, temperature variation shape in green timber wall portion assume a new aspect. The purpose of this study was that possibility of thermal insulation variation and new composition of wall system identify to improve thermal insulation performance. In the temperature case, this study shows possibility of improving thermal insulation performance. Humidity, sunshine and wind etc. should considered to determine building adiabatic properties.

  • Plasma display panel is a potential candidate for HDTV, due to the fact that the screen size can easily be increased by a thick film technology. In this study, transparent dielectric materials which satisfied the requirements of dielectrics for PDP was developed using lead alumina borosilicate glasses. The Paste which had thixotropic behavior suitable for screen printing was made of this glass composition. the paste became more thixotropic as the particle size decreased. After firing, the cross sectional area of the thick film was analyzed by SEM. The voids in the thick film were removed using bimodal particle system. The dielectric thick film showed good adhesion characteristics.

Melt Properties of Plasma Display Panel Substrate Glasses Based on Float Process (Float 공법을 고려한 Plasma Display Panel용 기판유리 용융체의 특성)

  • In order to examine the working condition of melts in tin bath of float process it was investigated Sn diffusion behavior and solidification rate of melts for alkali-alkaline earth-silica PDP substrate glasses such as commercial CaO rich CS-77 glass, commercial $Al_2O_3$ rich PD-200 glass and self developed $SiO_2$ rich T-series (T-2, T-4, T-6) glasses. In the case of Sn depth and concentration created in glass surface by ion exchange between Sn and alkali, T-series showed lower value than CS-77, especially T-2 is more excellent than PD-200. The solidification rate of melts expressed by cooling time between $log{\eta}=4\;and\;7.6dPa{\cdot}s$ was low for T-series comparing with CS-77 and PD-200. Therefore, it was concluded that T-series is desirable considering forming condition in the tin bath of the float process.

  • Analysis based on the Korea Labor and Income Panel Survey data reveals that earnings have become less volatile since the exchange rate crisis, while they have become more unequal. The reduction in measured earnings volatility is not explained by changes in the composition of various economic/demographic groups but accounted for by within-group reduction in the measured earnings volatility, which in turn is attributed to the reduced earnings mobility during the sample period. It is also found that measured earnings volatility is countercyclical and earnings changes are symmetric even during recessions.

Effect of Alkaline Earth Metal Oxides addition on the Low-voltage Characteristics of MgO Films as a Protective layer for AC PDPs (PDP 보호막용 MgO 박막의 저전압 특성에 미치는 알카리토금속산화물 첨가 효과)

  • Alkaline earth metal oxides were added to the conventional MgO films as a protective layer for dielectric materials to have lower firing voltage(Vf) of the plasma display panel(PDP). Panels with various protective layers of MgO-alkaline earth metal oxides were prepared on glass by using e-beam evaporation and its effect on firing voltage characteristics were investigated. (Ba-Mg)O films had poor voltage characteristics because of higher activation energy of BaO. But, (Sr-Mg)O, (Ca-Mg)O and (Ca-Sr-Mg) O had better voltage characteristics than the conventional MgO. A mixture film of (Mg-Ca-Sr)O show the lowest firing voltage which is less than that of MgO by 20V. The chemical composition to have lowest firing voltage is MgO:SrO:CaO ratio of 6:2:2. The mixture of MgO-Alkaline earth metal oxides films showed good transmittance properties within the visual range.

The Fabrication and Properties of Lead-tree Transparent Dielectric Thick Films for PDP (PDP 무연 투명유전체 후막의 형성 및 특성)

  • Dry film method for large size of PDP(Plasma Display Panel) module has been actively investigated. This method for lead-free transparent dielectric formation depends on green sheet technology. By adjusting the composition of transparent dielectric powders and organics, uniformly dispersed slurry was fabricated, Viscosity of the slurry exhibited pseudoplastic behavior for tape casting, Cast green sheets were tested under tensile condition at room temperature. It was found that the increase in transparent dielectric powder and binder ratio leads to decrease in strain to failure of green sheets from 120 % to 34 % and from 255 % to 4 %, respectively. Tensile strength of green sheets decreased abruptly with increase of transparent dielectric powder ratio, with minimum at 0.13 MPa. On the other hand, tensile strength increased continuously from 0.1 MPa to 2.4 MPa with increase of binder ratio. The green sheets were attached on the glass substrate and heated by following firing schedule. As a result, the best result was obtained when fired at 580 $^{\circ}C$ for 15 min and had transmittance of 78 % in visible range 550 nm.

  • Summary measures of population health (SMPHs) have been used to estimate the burden of diseases. Among various type of SMPHs, disability adjusted life year (DALY) and healthy life expectancy (HALE) have been calculated in the global and national burden of disease studies. In order to calculate DALY and HALE, disability weight is an essential element. Disability weights quantify the level of disability for health states or diseases and have values between 0 (full health) to 1 (being dead). In this study, we reviewed the main disability weights studies and determined their meaning and limitations. Furthermore, we provided the whole process of typical disability weight study and reviewed key issues as follows: health state or disease description development, panel composition, valuation method, validation of disability weight, cross-cultural variability in health state or disease, and so on. The results from this study will be helpful to conduct future disability weight studies for adapting disability weights and developing new methodologies.

Family Life Experience and Life Satisfaction of Multicultural Families with School-Aged Children (학령기 자녀를 둔 다문화가정의 가정생활경험과 생활만족도)

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the general characteristics and the variety of family life experiences related to the life satisfaction of multicultural families with school-aged children. Data were drawn from the first wave of the Korean Children and Youth Panel Survey conducted in 2010 and developed by the National Youth Policy Institute. Further, the sample for this study consisted of 95 multicultural families who met the requirements. The data were analyzed by descriptive statistics, the t -test, analysis of variance, and multiple regression using SPSS ver. 18.0. The main results showed that family life experiences that were made up of 5 domains, specifically time, leisure, household economy, health, and child education had a broad range of levels. In addition, family life experiences differed according to the general characteristics of multicultural families with school-aged children, such as mother's employment status, number of children, father's employment status and education level, and family composition. Lastly, their life satisfaction was significantly predicted by the father's employment status and health, children's age, children's education, and leisure in the order of significance. These findings suggested the need to expand the social intervention range for multicultural families with school-aged children, particularly in terms of family leisure and children's school life adaptation.
