  • We developed the composite long rod insulator for railway, and the developed insulators were applied to commercial lines, KNR through a series of preparations such as establishment of specification, diverse tests and evaluation of reliability, and improvement of manufacturing system, etc. This paper presents some considerations for mass Production of the composite insulators in view of steady quality especially. 1 believe that our tries, though it is incomplete in view of low cost, is effective in good performance of the insulators in service and these in-service experience is enough to be a basis of more progress in field of insulation technique.

Cure Kinetics of Cycloaliphatic Epoxy/Silica System for Electrical Insulation Materials in Outdoor Applications

  • The cure kinetics of a neat epoxy system and epoxy/silica composite were investigated by DSC analysis. A cycloaliphatic type epoxy resin was diglycidyl 1,2-cyclohexanedicarboxylate and curing agent was anhydride type. To estimate kinetic parameters, the Kissinger equation was used. The activation energy of the neat epoxy system was 88.9 kJ/mol and pre-exponential factor was 2.64×1012 min−1, while the activation energy and pre-exponential factor for epoxy/silica composite were 97.4 kJ/mol and 9.21×1012 min−1, respectively. These values showed that the silica particles have effects on the cure kinetics of the neat epoxy matrix.

  • 우주왕복선과 같은 발전된 비행체의 열 차단 시스템(TPS)에서의 이상적인 후보로는 섬유질 내화성 복합 절연체(FRCI)와 AETB(Alumina-Enhanced Thermal Barrier)가 있다. 이중, 본 연구에서는 FRCI의 열 펄스에 대한 열적응답을 실리카와 비교하여 수학적으로 모델링하여 전사모사 하였다. 또, 100~2000 K의 온도범위에서 FRCI의 여러 변수에 따른 각 열전도도를 계산하여 보았다.

  • The Composite waterproofing began to rise gradually 2000s in domestic. However, the sheet-membrane composite waterproofing method also acts as an abutment vulnerability that was a problem in a single method, and had the problem of damage to the formation of leakage paths. The existing non-overlap method, through vigorous research abutting sheet shall or could be developed to improve the seal performance of this method with the I-type joint coating material. Nevertheless, it has an integral top coat paint membrane and a sheet abutment limitation, damage to the upper membrane is damaged junction coating membranes has been generated. In this study, a method that has a layer of insulation on the joint bond breaker concept development, and to determine the physical properties with insulated joints to determine the breaking off of the upper joint is damaged coating membrane and tensile performance.

고온 초전도 케이블의 전류 분포 및 전기절연 특성 (The Characteristics of Current Distribution and Electrical Insulation on High-Tc Superconducting Cable)

  • It is important to control layer current distributions of coaxial multi-layer HTS cables, because a homogeneous layer current distribution decreases AC loss and can supply the largest operational current. We have extended the theory that treat the operational current more than the critical current by considering V-I nonlinear characteristics of HTS tapes including flux flow resistance and contacting resistance between the cable and terminals. It is important to investigate the current distribution under the condition of operational current more than the critical current of cable, because the cable has experiences of fault current. In order to verify the extended theory, we have fabricated a two layers cable with the same twisting layer pitch. It was observed that almost all the operational current less than the critical current flowed on the outer layer because of its lower inductance. In case of operational current more than critical currents of layers, the flux flow resistances affect strongly current waveform and thereby the currents of layers were determined by the flux flow resistances. And we investigated breakdown characteristics in $LN_{2}$/paper composite insulation system for the application to a HTS cable. In this experiment, we got some information out of that the electrical characteristics of the insulation materials depends on the condition of butt gap.

Improved Thermal Conductivities of Epoxy Resins Containing Surface Functionalized BN Nanosheets

  • The hexagonal boron nitride nanosheets (BN) were firstly treated by silane coupling agents 3-aminopropyltriethoxysilane (KH550) and 3-glycidoxypropyl-trimethoxysilane (KH560) to introduce some amino and epoxy (EP) groups on the BN surface. These modified BN nanosheets were incorporated into an EP matrix to prepare BN@KH560/EP composites with excellent thermal conductivity and electrical insulation properties. Results showed that the thermal conductivity of BN@KH560/EP composite with 20 vol% BN dosage was found to be 0.442 W/($m{\cdot}K$), which was 81% higher than that of pure EP resin. Both BN/EP composites treated by KH550 and KH560 showed rather good electrical insulation properties, although the dielectric constant of BN@KH550/EP composites were slightly higher than BN@KH560/EP composites. Moreover, BN@KH560/EP composites also showed better thermal and mechanical properties than that of BN@KH550/EP composites.

  • The gas insulation switchgear, which is a device for protecting a power system, cannot be supported by the insulation gas itself in a charge unit stored in a metal container. Therefore, molding technology is required to manufacture a gas insulation switch spacer. The APG method injection molding simulation was performed by applying the variables obtained through the physical properties of an epoxy composite used for manufacturing an insulating spacer to a moldflow software. After varying the temperature conditions of heater in the simulation, the thermal characteristics and the degree of hardening of the spacer were analyzed, based on which the optimum process conditions are presented.

건식공법을 이용한 건축물의 외벽 화재 확산의 실험적 연구 (An Experimental Study on Fire Spreading External Wall of Buildings Using Dry Construction Method)

  • 2016년 6월 영국 그렌펠 타워 화재는 외단열에 의한 수직화재확산으로 인한 대표적인 피해사례이다. 외단열 공법에서 많이 사용되는 유기단열재는 단열성능이 좋은 반면 화재에 취약한 단점이 있다. 알루미늄 복합패널을 외벽 마감재로 사용하는 외단열 공법에서 알루미늄 내부에 사용되는 플라스틱은 수직 화재확산의 원인으로 지목되고 있다. 알루미늄복합패널을 외벽에 고정하기 위해 사용되는 철재 프레임 때문에 외벽과 외벽 마감재 사이에 중공층이 형성된다. 외벽에 화재가 발생하면 가연성외벽의 연소뿐만 아니라 단열재로부터 발생된 화염이 중공층을 통해 수직으로 급격히 확산되어 인명 및 재산피해가 발생할 수 있다. 국내의 경우 국토교통부고시 2015 - 744에 의한 소재단위 성능시험이 수행되고 있으며, 영국에서는 실제 규모의 화재시험으로 외벽의 수직화재확산 시간의 측정이 가능한 BS8414 시험이 시행되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 현행 국내 고시 기준으로 적합한 준불연 소재의 알루미늄복합패널을 대상으로 영국에서 시행되고 있는 실규모 외벽화재시험(BS 8414)을 수행하여 수직화재확산에 대한 거동 관찰과 현재 마감재료의 소재단위 평가의 한계를 확인하고자 하며, 실제 규모의 화재 시험을 통한 외벽화재 화재확산 방지를 위한 시스템 도입 필요성 확인하고자 한다.

마이크로 중공구를 이용한 자외선 경화 코팅 박막의 단열 특성 (Thermal Insulation Property of UV Cure Coatings Using Hollow Micro-Spheres)

  • 본 연구에서는 마이크로 기공의 중공구를 유기 고분자 수지와 복합화한 유/무기 하이브리드 물질을 제조하여 우수한 단열 성능을 갖는 코팅유리를 개발하고자 하였다. 유기 고분자 물질로는 투명성과 접착성이 우수한 6관능기의 우레탄 아크릴레이트(UP118), 3관능기의 trimethylolpropane triacrylate (TMPTA), 2관능기의 1,6-hexanediol diacrylate (HDDA), 광 개시제(Irgacure184) 등으로 구성된 자외선 경화형 수지를 사용하였다. 유리 및 실리카 중공구를 고분자 수지에 각각 10~40 vol%까지 첨가하여 얻어진 코팅 졸을 투명유리에 바(bar)코팅 방식으로 박막을 형성시킨 후 자외선 경화를 통해 최종 코팅유리를 제조하였다. 마이크로 중공구의 종류 및 함량이 제조된 코팅유리의 광 투과율, 열전도도, 접착성 및 표면 경도에 미치는 영향을 조사하였다. 복합물 코팅유리는 중공구가 과량 첨가되어도 우수한 접착성(5B)을 유지하였으며, 단열 성능은 각 중공구가 20 vol%만 함유되어도 뚜렷하게 향상된 결과를 나타냈다. 또한 실리카 중공구(SP)를 단열 재료로 사용하였을 경우 광 투과율 80 %의 투명 코팅유리를 얻을 수 있었다.

고온에 노출된 PCM 충진형 바닥 시스템의 거동 특성 (Behavior Characteristics of PCM Infilled Floor System at Elevated Temperature)

  • Composite Floor system infilled with PCM(Phase Change Material) between upper and lower steel plates was developed to apply the steel frame. When steel frames were applied this system, it can absolutely reduce the duration of construction due to dry construction method. However to apply this system as a structural floor member without fire resistance covering, it must have 2 hours fire resistance performance. Because PCM consisted of three quarters of section with thermal insulation performance, fire resistance performance of this floor system was expected to easily have 2 hours fire resistance performance. This paper was to investigate behavior characteristics of PCM infilled floor system at elevated temperature using FEM analysis to develop the fire resistance performance of it.
