Purpose: The purpose of this study was to know the availability of two photosensitizers, PD, DA, as a photosensitizer instead of CQ in UDMA dental composite resin. We want to know photopolymerization effect of UDMA unfilled resin and surface hardness of composite resin containing PD and DA were compared with those of CQ, most widely used photosensitizer for dental composite resins. Methods: The photopolymerization effect of UDMA studied by FT-IR spectroscopy increased with irradiation time and the amount of photosensitizer. Knoop hardness of experimental composite resins prepared by the addition of the photosensitizer content and irradiation time. Results: The relative photopolymerization effect of UDMA increased in the order of PD > CQ > DA. The composite resin of UDMA containing DA or PD, which shows better Knoop hardness than that containing CQ. Conclusion: PD and DA show as effective photosensizers, suitable for UDMA dental composite resin compare with a higher efficiency than CQ.

For the bolted joint of the composite structure, quasi-isotropic stacking is generally used to increase the bearing strength. For the bolted joint of uni-directional composite, the fatigue life limit of the bolted joint can be improved by applying clamping force though the static strength is still very low. In this paper, the static and fatigue characteristics of hybrid joint are investigated which can overcome the disadvantage of the bolted joint of uni-directional composite under static loading by applying adhesive joining. The experimental result shows that the static strength and fatigue life can be improved by applying clamping force to the hybrid joint and the hybrid joint is a good solution for the efficiency of the composite structures.
This paper presents a master-slave constraint method, which may substitute the conventional transformed-section method, to account for the changes in cross-sectional properties of composite members during construction and to investigate the time-dependent performance of steel-concrete composite bridges. The time-dependent effects caused by creep and shrinkage of concrete are considered by combining the age-adjusted effective modulus method and finite element analysis. An efficient computational tool which runs in AutoCAD environment is developed to simulate the construction process of steel-concrete composite bridges. The major highlight of the developed tool consists in a very convenient and user-friendly interface integrated in AutoCAD environment. The accuracy of the proposed method is verified by comparing its results with those provided by using the transformed-section method. Furthermore, the computational efficiency of the developed tool is demonstrated by applying it to a steel-concrete composite bridge.

The purpose of this study is to research and develop V2Os-AC(activated carbon) composite electrode for supercapacitor. Supaercapacitor cell of V2Os-AC composite electrode with 25P70FLiCIO$_{4}$/PC$_{10}$/EC$_{10}$ polymer electrolyte bring out good capacitor Performance below 3V. The discharge capacitance of V2Os-AC(30:70) composite with 70wt.% AC in 1st and 200th cycles was 9.6 and 8.2 F/g at current density of 1m7/cm2. The capacitance of V$_2$O$_{5}$-AC composite with 70wt.% AC capacitor was larger than that of others. The coulombic efficiency of supercapacitor at discharge process of 1 and 200 cycles were 96 and 100%, respectively. V$_2$O$_{5}$-AC composite supercapacitor with 70wt.% AC content showed good capacitance and stability with cycling.ing.ing.
In structural reliability analysis, the response surface method is widely adopted because of its numerical efficiency. It should be understood that the response function must approximate the actual limit state function accurately in the main region influencing failure probability where it is evaluated. However, the size of main region influencing failure probability was not defined clearly in current response surface methods. In this study, the concept of sub-region of interest is constructed, and an improved response surface method is proposed based on the sub-region of interest. The sub-region of interest can clearly define the size of main region influencing failure probability, so that the accuracy of the evaluation of failure probability is increased. Some examples are introduced to demonstrate the efficiency and the accuracy of the proposed method for both numerical and implicit limit state functions.

Thin film solar cells have attracted much attention due to their high cell efficiency, comparatively low process cost, and applicability to flexible substrates. In particular, CIGS solar cells have been widely studied and produced because they demonstrated the highest cell efficiency. However, the deposition process of CIGS films generally includes the selenization process conducted at elevated temperature using toxic $H_2Se$ gas. To avoid this selenization process, CIGS thin films were, in this study, deposited by RF sputtering using single composite CIGS target. In addition, the effects of sputtering bias voltage and heat treatment on the microstructural and morphological changes in deposited CIGS films were investigated and discussed.

After we experiment one direction fiber reinforced composites$(\theta\;=\;0^{\circ},\;J=1)$ to the X direction$(\theta\;=\;0^{\circ},\;J=1)$, we can say that fiber orientation efficiency and fiber orientation angle efficiency become lower. It is because the more the fabric is orientated in a equal direction with one direction fiber floor the more the load given from the exterior becomes shear rather than tension, even though one direction fiber floor gets the most of the exterior power. when fiber content ration is $10wt\%$, the fiber reinforcement efficiency of J=0.3 is similar with the fiber reinforcement efficiency of $\theta=30^{\circ}$ We also found that the fiber reinforcement efficiency of J=0.2 is similar with the fiber reinforcement efficiency of $\theta=20^{\circ}$ in case of $20wt\%$.
LPD vectors are non-viral vehicles for gene delivery comprised of polycation-condensed plasmid DNA and liposomes. Here, we described a novel anionic LPD formulation containing protamine-DNA complexes and pH sensitive liposomes composed of DOPE and cholesteryl hemisuccinate (Chems). Central composite design (CCD) was employed to optimize stable LPD formulation with small particle size. A three factor, five-level CCD design was used for the optimization procedure, with the weight ratio of protamine/DNA ($X_1$), the weight ratio of Chems/DNA ($X_2$) and the molar ratio of Chems/DOPE in the anionic liposomes ($X_3$) as the independent variables. LPD size ($Y_1$) and LPD protection efficiency against nuclease ($Y_2$) were response variables. Zeta potential determination was utilized to define the experimental design region. Based on experimental design, responses for the 15 formulations were obtained. Mathematical equations and response surface plots were used to relate the dependent and independent variables. The mathematical model predicted optimized $X_1-X_3$ levels that achieve the desired particle size and the protection efficiency against nuclease. According to these levels, an optimized LPD formulation was prepared, resulting in a particle size of 185.3 nm and protection efficiency of 80.22%.

The size, morphology and composition of nanoparticles are regarded as the most important factors to the efficiency of catalytic reduction of various chemical compounds. In order to make a systematic comparison, gold, platinum and palladium nanoplates with 100 nm diameter with rough surface morphology were manufactured through the galvanic replacement reaction, and the reaction kinetics of the catalytic reduction of 4-nitrophenol and 4-nitroaniline was systematically analyzed by spectroscopic measurement. According to the observation, the catalytic reduction efficiency was significantly different against the constitutional elements in order of Pd > Au > Pt, and it was additionally influenced by the type of substrate.
The transport properties of membranes used in vanadium redox flow batteries (VRFB) are fundamental in battery performance. High proton conductivity and low vanadium ion permeability must be achieved to achieve high battery performance. However, there is a trade-off relationship between proton conductivity and vanadium ion permeability. So, solving this trade-off relationship is crucial in VRFB development. Also, maintaining high coulombic efficiency, voltage efficiency, and energy efficiency is essential for high-performing VRFB. Recently, various attempts have been made, primarily on composite membranes and SPEEK membranes, to overcome the existing limit of Nafion membranes. VRFB is an essential class of rechargeable battery in composite membranes reviewed here.
