  • Global competition of automotive market and affordable prices of electronic components become the major reason that automotive industries rapidly employ a large number of electric and electronic systems to improve vehicle performance and to meet various regulations such as emission, fuel efficiency, and safety. Especially, the provision of a motor-driven steering column (MDSC) for luxury vehicle is getting popular for drivers' convenience. In this study, an MDSC is developed, which provides several intelligent features such as the manual operation for tilting and telescoping the steering wheel, and the save/recall operation for three different steering wheel positions. In addition, the fault detection algorithm is developed.

  • This paper was concerned about case study for preventing WMDSs(Work-related Musculoskeletal Disorders) by using Thinking Process of TOC(Theory Of Constraints), Unfortunately, the number of WMDSs are rising steadily in auto-part manufacturer. These WMDSs have on worse and worse influence not only on the competition of enterprise but on the life quality of a worker. The research results are helpful to establish the preventing WMDSs and improvement of workplace environments for small-medium sized auto-part company.

  • Korea's IT's firms activities have been vigorous more than ever, since the implementation of " Special law on the nurturing IT firms" in 1990. IT evolution and the e-business has emerged as a new economic activity and beyond the time and space limitations. But the Enterprises located in Gangwon-Do Area have been too inactive in their willingness and readiness to adopt IT models and processes owing to the lack of the directions of e-business, the insufficient network infrastructures and capitals, etc., In this circumstance, as part of this research, This Papers have conducted a survey on the e-business and information conditions and status among the Enterprises located Gangwon-Do Area. In Conclusions, this study Study on the Informationalization of the Enterprises and IT firms Enlarge Strategics for building competition of local Enterprises located Gangwon-Do Area.

  • A firm is very difficult to find sustainable competitive weapons due to global competition and rapid changes in business environments. As a sequence, an increasing number of organizations are focusing their attention on utilizing knowledge management which can effectively disperse, share, and create information and knowledge. Therefore, this study is purposed to investigate success factors of knowledge management through AHP techniques, to analyze the relative importance among success factors, and to contribute to the organizations which have a plan to introduce KMS by providing theoretical background.

  • An important aspect of the study of power system markets involves the assessment of strategic behavior of participants for maximizing their profits. In models of imperfect competition of a deregulated electricity system, the key task is to find the Nash equilibrium. In this paper, the bimatrix approach for finding Nash equilibria in electricity markets is investigated. This approach determines pure and mixed equilibria using the complementarity pivot algorithim. The mixed equilibrium in the matrix approach has the equal number of non-zero property. This property makes it difficult to reproduce a smooth continuous distribution for the mixed equilibrium. This paper proposes an algorithm for adjusting the quantization value of discretization to reconstruct a continuous distribution from a discrete one.

  • Major companies have launched into the film industry since 1990s, which resulted in competition in facilities. In addition, restriction for the number of the prints was removed. Under these circumstances, the cinema has been transformed and developed from the established one-hall cinema into multiplex cinema with large-scaled halls. Contrary to the established cinema, modern cinema are a cultural place within easy access. They accommodate diverse social and cultural needs and their functions have been extending gradually. The waiting areas should not function only as the waiting space for the audience but also the places to attract the audience and provide them with various cultural and art information, and temporary restful break. For this study, the inter-relationship between the structure of the area and the audience are identified objectively by analyzing audience distribution and their routes within the area. The purpose of the study is to provide basic data about the design of the waiting area based on the findings above.

  • This paper is a study of the relationships between trade and transshipment in Korea. Through the analysis of the data collected, a comprehensive model has been developed to analyze and predict relationships between trade and transshipment. By using analyses of port and trade evolution in Asia, the model identifies some important results. An application of the model to forecast developments in selected regions in China is also included in this paper. The paper provides a basis for shipping companies to decide on appropriate transshipment port strategies, and provides important theoretical references for Korean ports' development Supported by Shanghai leading Academic Discipline Project, project Number: T0602.

  • Individual sewage treatment system is classified into a sewage treatment system which treats all the domestic sewage and a water-purifier tank which treats only effluent flushing from the toilet. The number of registered manufacturers has increased rapidly since 2001. As a result, price competition has increased among the manufacturers and has caused the problems such as the inappropriate production of individual sewage treatment system, the unreasonable permit for building completion and the shortage of the professional technology of the community's public officials in charge. This study collected the problem cases that are related with existing individual sewage treatment system and operation. Efficient improvement plan for the stable supply, installation, maintenance of individual sewage treatment system were suggested.

  • The purposes of this study are to propose exhibition planning and management skills of trade fair organizers and to provide suggestions on the direction of government policies related to fair items. This study analyzes exhibitor objectives of exhibition participation and exhibition choice attributes using revised importance-performance analysis. This research uses visitor level, organizer services and market attraction of hosting country, as explanatory variables affecting companies' trade show choices. It also utilizes sales and non-sales purposes of participants as variables of exhibitors' objectives. As a result of the empirical analysis and examination of prior research, this study presents some recommendations for exhibition organizers and governments of hosting countries. First, the exhibition organizer should consider the importance of the number of visitors. Thus, the organizer should focus on prior marketing activities to attract visitors. Second, the organizer should make a trade fair plan in compliance with participants' needs. Third, policy authorities should provide environment of free competition among players.
