Development of a Shop Manager Training Program for Vocational Education High School Students (직업 역량 강화를 위한 고등학생 대상 샵 매니저 교육 프로그램 개발)

  • This study develops a training program for vocational high school students. This study implemented the ADDIE teaching-learning model and was conducted in the sequence of analyses, design, development, implementation and evaluation. In the analysis phase, the existing studies related to vocational competency training were analyzed along with an analysis of the current education programs and suitability assessment. Based on the analysis, the education program was designed and contents were determined. The program consisted of 5 chapters and 17 unit hours of instruction. Reigeluth's (1987) theory was used as the framework for organizing educational materials in the development phase. The programs were implemented on students and evaluated by students as well as experts. Students evaluated the program in terms of the degree of motivation for learning, comprehension of learning content, perceptions of lessons in classes as well as the advantages and disadvantages of the program. Experts evaluated the program in terms of program validity. The results indicate the developed program was useful for training students vocational competencies as shop managers. This study contributes to the field of fashion education, by presenting an example of systematic development of an educational program in connection with industry.

A Study on Improvement Plan of Evaluation Method in National Technical Qualification Exam focus on Information Processing Fields based on NCS (NCS 기반 정보처리 분야 국가기술자격 실기시험 평가방법에 관한 연구)

  • This paper describes a research for improvement official approval of information processing in national technical qualification. In this paper, we analysis the contents of current exams and propose the new evaluation method of practical exam in information processing fields through grafting new trends of ICT and ability unit, fulfillment criteria in national competency standards(NCS). Also, we have verified the effect of exam through the pilot test. In the future, we will apply the new exams after the revision of guidelines for marking questions by expert group in its duty fields basis on this research

  • Failure to link business or operations strategy with the activities of operations is a critical problem in strategy implementation process. This problem comes from malfunction of a coordination and control mechanism to support the strategic direction by effective communication throughout the firm. A performance measurement and evaluation system (PMES) is thought as a core mechanism to monitor, direct. and induce desirable activities. We have developed a new strategic PMES (SPMES) that can effectively support the manufacturing strategy by utilizing customized performance measures. They are selected from a pool of four distinct but closely related sets of performance measures; financial, market, internal competency, and performance driver. In this paper, we briefly review the structure of the SPMES and explain the change process of PMES into SPMES in manufacturing business units. First we analyze the business environment and manufacturing strategy to identify short- and long-term issues facing the management. Next step is scrutinizing the objectives and activities of every function and process in the business unit. Using the information obtained, we can diagnose the gaps between currently effective PMES and desirable SPMES supporting the strategies. Once the problems in existing system are identified, we reconfigure the existing and new measures to establish a SPMES through a series of analyses, discussions and workshops. In organizing the selected measures in the new system, we use AHP method to reflect the relative importance of the measures in a specific business. Finally, modification or development of information system to support the SPMES wraps up the development process, and implementation begins. We explain the entire process using two cases to clarify the real meanings and the difficulties of PMES change process.

Intrahospital Transport of Critically Ill Patients: Critical Care Nurses' Perceptions (중환자실 간호사가 인식한 병원 내 중환자 이송 현황 조사)

  • Purpose : This study aimed to identify the status of intrahospital transport (IHT) of critically ill patients and provide baseline data to form recommendations for safer transport. Methods : Data were collected from 141 intensive care unit (ICU) nurses who attended national conferences between February and August, 2018. The collected data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and ANOVA, and post-hoc analysis was conducted with the Scheffé and Games-Howell tests. Results : Of the nurses surveyed, 61.7% answered that their workplace had a transport guideline. In terms of the experience of ICU nurses, 31.2% of respondents answered that they had received training on IHT. This result indicated that the degree of implementation of the guidelines for IHT was generally high, but some, including guidelines on personnel, equipment, and monitoring, were not. Guidelines of IHT were well observed when the institutes had specific guidelines for IHT of critically ill patients with specified transport grades, a scoring system to assess stability of a patient, a checklist and a protocol for action in case of problems, and when healthcare providers were provided with training. Conclusion : These results suggest that organized infrastructure, such as a transport guideline with transport grades, a checklist to improve the implementation of guidelines, and a protocol for coping with a problem, should be provided for safe transport. Additionally, effective education and evaluation to improve the competency of staff participating in the transport of patients will help reduce the occurrence of adverse events in intensive care transport in hospitals and promote patient safety.

Effect of Customer Experience Management Capability on Job Satisfaction and Customer Orientation of Service Firms : Focus on the Bank Service (서비스기업의 고객경험관리역량이 직무만족 및 고객지향성에 미치는 영향 : 은행서비스를 중심으로)

  • This study examines the effect of customer experience management capability of a bank and job satisfaction and customer orientation of the frontline employee in bank. The proposed research model and developed hypotheses were tested using structural equations modeling based on data collected from 321 employees working in banks. The results of the study confirm the positive effects of employee training, employee empowerment, employee evaluation, cross functional work of customer experience management capability is job satisfaction and customer orientation. But channel integration is not supported job satisfaction and customer orientation. Performance management influenced customer orientation through job satisfaction. The study provides On a theoretical level valuable insights into the customer experience management competency at the organizational unit and but there is also a limitation that firms the is limited.

A Study on Comparing the Computer Science Education Hours between Public and Private Elementary Schools (공립초등학교와 사립초등학교의 정보교육 시수 비교 연구)

  • This study tried to analyze the hours for computer science education in private elementary schools located in Seoul, in order to find out how many lesson hours are required. According to online discussion participation in the 2022 revised curriculum survey results, it was found that students and parents wanted computer science education to be strengthened. Information education in public elementary schools consists of a separate unit in the practical subject based on the 2015 revised curriculum and is to be implemented for more than 17 hours. As a result of surveying the average hours of computer science education based on school reminder of 28 private elementary schools in Seoul, it was found that about 152 hours of information education were being operated for 6 years. This is about 9 times the gap in education hours compared to public elementary schools. Artificial intelligence is emerging as important, so the lesson hours of information education must be secured to strengthen students' future competency in morden society. Therefore, informatics curriculum should be independent as a subject and secure the number of hours in the elementary school level.

The Need Analysis for Operating Course-based National Technical Qualification Course of Vocational School Teachers (직업계고 교사의 과정평가형 자격 과정 운영에 대한 교육요구도 분석)

  • The purpose of this study is to use as a basic data of establishing operating Course-based National Technical Qualification(CNTQ) support program by examining the educational needs for operating CNTQ of vocational school teachers, and to contribute to the vocational school settlement of CNTQ course. To achieve those purposes, this study drew 27 tasks performed by teachers operating CNTQ. Also, it surveyed the perceived importance and the performance. The findings of this study are as follows. First, it is showed that 'selection of qualification fields and confirmation of organization criteria, organization of educational training time by competency unit, organization of subjects and establishment of competency unit operating plan by grade and semester, selection of teaching materials, implementation of education and training, establishment of evaluation plan, implementation of evaluation, re-education and re-evaluation students with grades under 40%, guidance of paper evaluation, guidance of practical evaluation, guidance of interview evaluation' are the first priority tasks in the result of the need analysis. Second, it is indicated that 'application of external evaluation, guidance to retake an exam for failure' are the secondary priority tasks. According to these results, the following conclusions were made. First, it will be more positive effects if the educational needs in the next CNTQ support program include contents of the first priority tasks. Second, it is indicated that the priority of the educational needs for tasks of operating plan stages is commonly high. In particular, the highest ranking in the result means that it is completely supported from the first step on operating course. It is expected that the program which teachers on operating the course of similar qualification fields share each operating experience is effective. Third, the priority of the educational needs for external evaluation step ranked high. External evaluation has a different level of difficulty and a form of practical evaluation output according to qualification fields, so the method of guidance has to be different. It needs the program constructed by similar fields.

A Study on Role and Function of the Medical Representatives (의약정보담당자(MR)의 기능 및 역할에 관한 연구)

  • Background : Aim of this study is focused on the analysis of the needed abilities of medical representatives resulting in building up the market and increasing sales. It is to propose methods to increase this ability ensuring continuous growth in market share and profit. Methods : A survey was conducted between January 6 and May 31, 2003. Using SPSS(Version 10.0), the collected data was analyzed by Hotelling T2, factor analysis. Some hypotheses were selected to include the conclusion. Some questionnaires for physicians working in hospitals or clinics and the medical representatives working in a pharmaceutical company were created and asked to them to either prove or reject those hypotheses. The results were analyzed to find the primary factors that effect the interactions between physician and the medical representatives. These factors were also studied along with the theoretical research based on published references. Results : The results were as follows. The main reasons for the physician to meet with a medical representatives were collection of product informations needed for patient treatment and collection of informations on current medical issue and as well as personal interests. The main parameters by which physicians evaluate the medical representatives are human relationship including sincerity and manners and supply of accurate and unbiased information on products. Overall, the medical representatives' perception on the importance of medical knowledge and ability to deliver it are lower than that expected by physicians. Conclusion : Medical and pharmaceutical companies' environment are changed rapidly. And those changes forced medical representatives to set new roles and competency. In order to drive away from the past 'rule of thumb' and 'adaptation to circumstance', optimal method and systemic development to train and support the medical representatives should be quipped. They will help medical representatives to be specialists in medical knowledge and to understand the exact need of health care professions. Product competitiveness will be increased and eventually successful business can be achieved through it.

Textmining-Based Analysis for Duty and Knowledge structure of Vocational Counseling Service Industry (텍스트마이닝 기법을 통한 직업상담서비스산업의 직무 및 지식구조 분석)

  • This study attempts to analyze the structure of the knowledge and duties of the vocational counseling service industry by using the text mining method and network analysis, which are methods of big data analysis. The subjects of the survey were vocational counseling, job placement and career change support, three fields in the unit elements of competence included in the National Competency Standards (NCS) which areproposed by the government. Although the analysis results of frequently used words showed that all three fields had independent duties, many were overlapping, such as counseling, examination, employment support, etc. for clients, job seekers, and others. The knowledge required by the employees of this field includes many new fields, such as start-up development, lifelong career consulting, job adaptation and culture conflict, besides the five subjects of vocational psychology, vocational counseling, labor market, job information, and law, which are included in the vocational counselor certification examination. Also, we suggested that the consultants adhere to emotional approaches, such as empathy, acceptance and attentiveness, and take a neutral stance. This study isvaluable in that it is the first attempt to objectively analyze the duties of the vocational counseling service field by big data analysis. In addition, it is also meaningful that we first confirmed the difference between the direction of government policy and the actual practice in the field.
