In this study, Taylor matrix algorithm is designed for the approximate solution of linear and non-linear differential equation systems. The algorithm is essentially based on the expansion of the functions in differential equation systems to Taylor series and substituting the matrix forms of these expansions into the given equation systems. Using the Mathematica program, the matrix equations are solved and the unknown Taylor coefficients are found approximately. The presented numerical approach is discussed on samples from various linear and non-linear differential equation systems as well as stiff systems. The computational data are then compared with those of some earlier numerical or exact results. As a result, this comparison demonstrates that the proposed method is accurate and reliable.
In this study, an exact transfer matrix expression for a twisted uniform beam considering the effect of shear deformation and rotary inertia is developed. The particular transfer matrix is derived by applying the distributed mass and transcendental function while using a local coordinate system. The results obtained from this method are independent for a number of subdivided elements, and this method can determine the required number of exact solutions for the free vibration characteristics of a twisted uniform Timoshenko beam using a single element. In addition, it can be used as a useful numerical method for the computation of high-order natural frequencies. To validate the accuracy of the proposed method, the computed results are compared with those reported in the existing literature, and the comparison results indicate notably good agreement. In addition, the method is used to investigate the effects of shear deformation and rotary inertia for a twisted beam.
In this paper, we describe a novel method for document layout analysis that is based on a Fuzzy Energy Matrix (FEM). A FEM is a two-dimensional matrix that contains the likelihood of text and non-text and is generated through the use of Fuzzy theory. The key idea is to define an Energy map for the document to categorize text and non-text. The proposed mechanism is designed for execution with a low-resolution document image, and hence our method has a fast processing speed. The proposed method has been tested on public ICDAR 2009 datasets to conduct a comparison against other state-of-the-art methods, and it was also tested with Korean documents. The results of the experiment indicate that this scheme achieves superior segmentation accuracy, in terms of both precision and recall, and also requires less time for computation than other state-of-the-art document image analysis methods.
This paper is concerned with the improvement of impact and tensile Properties of spheroidal graphite cast iron of the following duplex matricess which were heat treated in the eutectic transformation temperature range (that is, $({\alpha}+{\gamma})$ coexisting range) ; ferrite-martensite, ferrite-bainite and ferrite-pearlite. The absorbed energy and maximum load was measured by recording the load-deflection curve with instrumented Charpy impact testing machine in the temperature range from $+100^{\circ}C$ to $-196^{\circ}C$. It was found the ferrite-bainite duplex matrix showed the highest toughness among the above matrices in the room temperature and the low temperature range. Comparison of this matrix to ferrite-pearlite matrix(that is, as cast) showed a lowering of $27^{\circ}C$ in the nil-ductility transition temperature (NDT) and a lowering of $40^{\circ}C$ in the ductile-brittle transition temperature (TrE), Which seems to result from the finner dimple pattern observed using miorofractography.
This paper is presented for the free vibration of a conical shell with annular plates or circular plate using the transfer of influence coefficient. The governing equations of vibration of a conical shell, including annular plate, are written as a coupled set of first order differential equations by using the transfer matrix of the shell. Once the transfer matrix of a single component has been determined, the entire structure matrix is obtained by the product of each component matrix and the joining matrix. The natural frequencies and the modes of vibration were calculated numerically for joined conical-annular plates. The validity of the present method is demonstrated through simple numerical examples, and through comparison with the results of finite element method, transfer matrix method and ANSYS. The conclusion show that the present method can accurately obtain natural vibration characteristics of the conical shell with annular or circle end plates.
In this study, a new practical method of predicting the sound absorption coefficient for multiple perforated-plate sound absorbing system was developed using transfer matrix method. In order to validate the proposed method, the absorption coefficients calculated by transfer matrix method for single perforated plate were first compared with the absorption coefficients measured by SWR method according to different porosity, hole diameter, and thickness of the perforated plate. Based on the comparison results, transfer matrix method was further applied to double and triple perforated plates to evaluate the absorption coefficients. The experimental results showed that the absorption coefficients from transfer matrix method generally agreed well with the corresponding absorption coefficients from SWR method. However, due to the limitations of the impedance model used in this study, the measured values were differed with the calculated values for small porosity, hole diameter, and thickness in size of the perforated plate indicating the need of impedance model development for multiple perforated-plate sound absorbing system covering wide ranges of porosity, hole diameter, and thickness of the perforated plate.
This paper presents an effective Markov transition matrix (EMTM), which will be used to calculate the wind speed at the target site in a wind farm to accurately predict wind energy production. The existing MTS prediction method using a Markov transition matrix (MTM) exhibits a limitation where significant prediction variations are observed owing to random selection errors and its bin width. The proposed method selects the effective states of the MTM and refines its bin width to reduce the error of random selection during a gap filling procedure in MTS. The EMTM reduces the level of variation in the repeated prediction of wind speed by using the coefficient of variations and range of variations. In a case study, MTS exhibited better performance than other MCP models when EMTM was applied to estimate a one-day wind speed, by using mean relative and root mean square errors.

With the development of covert communication technologies, the number of covert communication technologies using blockchain as a carrier is increasing. However, using the transaction amount of digital currency as a carrier for covert communication has problems such as low embedding rate, large consumption of transaction amount, and easy detection. In this paper, firstly, by experimentally analyzing the distribution of bitcoin transaction amounts, we determine the most suitable range of amounts for matrix decomposition. Secondly, we design a novel matrix decomposition method that can successfully decompose a large amount matrix into two small amount matrices and utilize the elements in the small amount matrices for covert communication. Finally, we analyze the feasibility of the novel matrix decomposition method in this scheme in detail from four aspects, and verify it by experimental comparison, which proves that our scheme not only improves the embedding rate and reduces the consumption of transaction amount, but also has a certain degree of resistance to detection.
