  • In this paper, we suggested an evaluation model for satisfaction of e-Learning. This model was composed decision of evaluation criteria, analysis of consciousness structure for evaluation factors using the Fuzzy Structural Modeling method, decision of weights for evaluation factors considering intersectional dependence relations and evaluation of satisfaction of e-Learning. The case study of this model was done for comparative analysis between teachers and students of e-Learning in high school.

토픽모델링 기법을 활용한 산업별 직무만족요인 비교 조사 : 잡플래닛 리뷰를 중심으로 (Comparative Analysis of Job Satisfaction Factors, Using LDA Topic Modeling by Industries : The Case Study of Job Planet Reviews)

  • As unemployment rates and concerns about turnover keep growing, the need for information is also increasing. In these situations, the job reviews which share information about the company catch people's attention because they are usually created by people who worked at the company. The development of SNS and mobile environments has led to an increase in the web services that provide job reviews. For example, Jobplanet is a job review service in Korea, and Glassdoor.com offers a similar service in the US. Despite this attention, however, research utilizing job reviews is insufficient. This paper asks whether there are differences in ratios of job satisfaction factors by industry, using LDA topic modeling and co-occurrence analysis to explore the differences. Through the results of LDA, we find that the ratios of job satisfaction factors are similar by industry. At the same time, the results of co-occurrence analysis show that the co-occurrence frequency of some job satisfaction factors appears high: pay and welfare, balance of work and life, company culture. We expect that the result of this research will be helpful in comparative analysis of job satisfaction factors by industry. Furthermore, in this paper we suggest how to use the job review data in organizational behavior research.

의료기관 정규직과 비정규직의 직무만족 비교연구 (A Comparative Study on Job Satisfaction between Regular and Non-Regular Workers in Hospitals)

  • Background: The purposes of this study is to analysis the differences of the job satisfaction between regular and non-regular workers in hospitals. Methods: The samples used for data analysis are 632 workers of 6 hospitals using a standardized questionnaires in B, C, D, and G provinces. In research methodology, all the data were analyzed with descriptive statistics, t-test, Pearson's correlation, and multiple linear regression analysis. Results: In case of regular workers, communication, working conditions and employee benefit, and education were found to have a significant positive (+) effect on job satisfaction. In case of non-regular workers, empowerment, reward systems, communication, working conditions, and employee benefit had a significant positive (+) effect on job satisfaction. Conclusion: These results showed that hospitals needed to reinforce communication, working conditions and employee benefit to regular and non-regular workers in order to improve job satisfaction. Especially, more empowerment, working conditions, and employee benefit should be given to non-regular workers.

Artificial Neural Networks for Interest Rate Forecasting based on Structural Change : A Comparative Analysis of Data Mining Classifiers

  • This study suggests the hybrid models for interest rate forecasting using structural changes (or change points). The basic concept of this proposed model is to obtain significant intervals caused by change points, to identify them as the change-point groups, and to reflect them in interest rate forecasting. The model is composed of three phases. The first phase is to detect successive structural changes in the U. S. Treasury bill rate dataset. The second phase is to forecast the change-point groups with data mining classifiers. The final phase is to forecast interest rates with backpropagation neural networks (BPN). Based on this structure, we propose three hybrid models in terms of data mining classifier: (1) multivariate discriminant analysis (MDA)-supported model, (2) case-based reasoning (CBR)-supported model, and (3) BPN-supported model. Subsequently, we compare these models with a neural network model alone and, in addition, determine which of three classifiers (MDA, CBR and BPN) can perform better. For interest rate forecasting, this study then examines the prediction ability of hybrid models to reflect the structural change.

Barge 방식에 의한 요추부 척추측만증과 추간판 탈출증의 X-ray 비교분석 (The Comparative analysis of X-ray film on Lumbar Scoliosis and HNP by Barge Method)

  • Objective: The purpose of this study is to evaluate the disc block subluxation for lumbar scoliosis and herniation of nucleus pulpous (HNP). Methods: We used AP & Lateral view X-ray for patients. And we measured of disc wedge angle, vertebral body rotation to evaluate the typical and atypical disc block subluxation. Results: On the analysis of the lateral view X-ray, 4th lumbar intervertebral disc angle (I.V.D angle) showed $4^{\circ}$, $5^{\circ}$, $3^{\circ}$, $0^{\circ}$ in the cases. On the 4th lumbar analysis of the AP view X-ray, lumbar scoliosis showed right disc wedge angle was $11^{\circ}$ (case 1), $17^{\circ}$ (case 2) and left vertebral body rotation was 13mm, 6mm. Lumbar HNP showed left disc wedge angle was $5^{\circ}$ (case 3), $4^{\circ}$ (case 4) and left vertebral body rotation was 2mm, 4mm. Conclusions: Disc block subluxation has been in lumbar scoliosis, but not been in lumbar HNP.

강재 지붕형 LNG 저장탱크 구조안전성평가 (Structural Analysis on A Steel Roof LNG Storage Tank)

  • LNG 저장탱크의 대형화 추세에 맞춰 대형화, 건설비용 등에 있어 상대적으로 유리한 강재 지붕형 LNG 저장탱크에 대한 구조안전성을 기존의 콘크리트 지붕형 저장탱크와 비교 평가하였다. 20만$k{\ell}$ 강재 지붕형 탱크와 콘크리트 지붕형 탱크에 대해서 정상운전상태, LNG 유출상태 및 지진하중상태의 주요 하중조합조건에서 유한요소해석기법을 이용하여 해석하고, 벽체, 바닥 및 지붕의 강도비를 통해서 구조안전성을 정량적으로 평가하였다.

Comparative numerical analysis for cost and embodied carbon optimisation of steel building structures

  • The study investigated an area of sustainable structural design that is often overlooked in practical engineering applications. Specifically, a novel method to simultaneously optimise the cost and embodied carbon performance of steel building structures was explored in this paper. To achieve this, a parametric design model was developed to analyse code compliant structural configurations based on project specific constraints and rigorous testing of various steel beam sections, floor construction typologies (precast or composite) and column layouts that could not be performed manually by engineering practitioners. Detailed objective functions were embedded in the model to compute the cost and life cycle carbon emissions of the different material types used in the structure. Results from a comparative numerical analysis of a real case study illustrated that the proposed optimisation approach could guide structural engineers towards areas of the solution space with realistic design configurations, enabling them to effectively evaluate trade-offs between cost and carbon performance. This significant contribution implied that the optimisation model could reduce the time required for the design and analysis of multiple structural configurations especially during the early stages of a project. Overall, the paper suggested that the deployment of automated design procedures can enhance the quality as well as the efficiency of the optimisation analysis.

A Review of Arbitrator Disclosure Obligations in Korea through the Oilhub Case

  • This article provides an overview of the state of affairs of arbitrator disclosure obligations in Korea. It shows how Korean courts will analyze arbitrator conflicts and obligations through an evaluation of Supreme Court judgments and a case-specific analysis of the recent Oilhub case and provides a comparative perspective through a review of recent Japanese case law. Although limited to domestic arbitrations, it assesses the various grounds that courts consider when determining impermissible arbitrator conflicts based on relations with parties and when an award might be set aside as a result. With the 2016 adoption of the KCAB Code of Ethics for Arbitrators and its rigorous standards, great clarity has been brought to the landscape. The Code of Ethics marks a significant milestone in enhancing the robustness of arbitrator disclosures and guaranteeing the fairness, integrity, and transparency of Korean arbitration practice and law.

계층적 의사결정과 컨조인트 분석의 타당성 비교: 화장품 선호 사례 조사 (A comparative study on validity of AHP and conjoint analysis: a case of cosmetics preference)

  • 본 연구는 대안이 많지 않은 의사결정에서 계층적 의사결정론(analytic hierarchy process)과 컨조인트 분석 간의 비교를 다루었다. 계층적 의사결정론은 속성들의 쌍대비교 과정을 거쳐 속성의 중요도를 추정한 후 대안들의 순위를 추정하는 방법이며, 컨조인트 분석은 대안의 순서로부터 속성의 효용을 추정하는 방법으로, 의사결정의 과정이 다르기에 두 방법을 직접적으로 비교하는 것은 다소 한계가 있다. 본 연구에서는 Scholl (2004)의 타당도 척도를 사용하여 두 방법을 S대학 여학생들의 화장품 선택 사례 연구를 통하여 두 방법을 서로 비교하였다. 사례연구 결과 컨조인트 분석은 내적타당도가 높게 나타났으며, 계층적 의사결정분석 방법은 예측타당도가 높게 나타남을 볼 수 있었다.

A case of isodicentric chromosome 15 presented with epilepsy and developmental delay

  • We report a case of isodicentric chromosome 15 (idic(15) chromosome), the presence of which resulted in uncontrolled seizures, including epileptic spasms, tonic seizures, and global developmental delay. A 10-month-old female infant was referred to our pediatric neurology clinic because of uncontrolled seizures and global developmental delay. She had generalized tonic-clonic seizures since 7 months of age. At referral, she could not control her head and presented with generalized hypotonia. Her brain magnetic resonance imaging scans and metabolic evaluation results were normal. Routine karyotyping indicated the presence of a supernumerary marker chromosome of unknown origin (47, XX +mar). An array-comparative genomic hybridization (CGH) analysis revealed amplification from 15q11.1 to 15q13.1. Subsequent fluorescence in situ hybridization analysis confirmed a idic(15) chromosome. Array-CGH analysis has the advantage in determining the unknown origin of a supernumerary marker chromosome, and could be a useful method for the genetic diagnosis of epilepsy syndromes associated with various chromosomal aberrations.
