This study intends to understand the visual experience of architectural space generated by users' movement based on the interpretation of visual properties. An analytic theory of Isovist is suggested for the objective and comparable measurement for such visual experience, and a computer program for the analysis has been proposed as well. By using the analytical theory and computer program, eight houses designed by Adolf Loos and Le Corbusler are analyzed for the purpose of understanding the visual characteristics of the Modern Architecture and the contemporaries. The result shows that, while the architectural space of Loos emphasizes personal privacy as for being livable spaces, the architectural space of Corbusier emphasizes users' movement as for including diverse visual arrays. These commensurable results exhibit that the analytical tool and research frame suggested in this study can be a competitive tool for such analysis.

Toyota Production System (TPS) has been known a new production paradigm applicable to every type of manufacturing industry, not restricted to automobile assembly system. The basic framework of TPS has been studied and presented actively; many enterprises from all over the world including some of large domestic companies, have adopted and applied. This study analyzed the cases for TPS introduction and application process of LG Electronics and SAMSUNG Electronics, Semiconductor Division. On a different areas of business items, different strategic approaches are developed and implemented on a two comparable domestic companies. Key success factors for two companies are analysed, and some issues are also discussed.

Objectives : The objective of this study was to examine the biopsychological traits of each Sasang type from a personality theory perspective. Methods : A review of different theories of personality is provided, in addition to review of ten previous studies on the psychological characteristics of the Sasang types. Results : 1. Similarities and differences were found between Sasang typology and Western theories of personality. 2. The prevalence of Sasang type was 28:36:36 (So-Yang:Tae-Eum:So-Eum), and the majority of the study sample were males in their twenties. 3. The Yin-Yang and Large-Small axes of Sasang typology were comparable to Eysenck's Extraversion and Neuroticism dimension. So-Yang type showed high extraversion and low neuroticism, and So-Eum type exhibited low extraversion and high neuroticism. Tae-Eum type was extravert and neurotic, and highly distinctive in such physical traits as Body Mass Index and blood triglyceride concentration. 4. We make recommendations for future studies on Sasang typology within a biopsychosocial and cognitive framework. Conclusions : This study demonstrates the possibility of Sasang typology being explicable from a cross-cultural biopsychosocial theory.

In late 20th century, smart home market evolved in China, and absorbed best manpower and technology to commercialize the smart home equipment. Many foreign companies want to take possession of Chinese market, but not arrive at abundance yet. There has many reasons, but most important thing is ignoring the interaction between technical elements and spacial elements. in other words, ignoring the correlation between each industry. Korean smart home market evolved same period with Chinese, but it has balanced development in technic and application, so the commercialize and market arrived at poverty. In this study, survey the present situation of smart home about Korea and China, and compare the technical elements. In addition to analysis the interaction between smart spacial contents and technology. This study focused on the smart apartment, and analysis the strength and weakness in each country, and make theoretical basement for Korea to make certain about Chinese smart home market.

We studied blood salvage effect of Cell Saver Apparatus[CSA with adult cardiac patients. This study compares blood salvage in two groups of patients undergoing valve replacement or congenital cardiac operation.Group 1 is composed with 60 patients operated during 1991-1992 using CSA. Group 2 is composed with 60 patients operated during 1990-1991. No special effort was made to salvage blood in Group 2. The average requirements in Group 1 were approximately one-fourth the amount of RBC products by Group 2. The hospital course, blood chemistry level were comparable for the two groups. CSA produced blood was concentrated, well oxygenated blood and the average amount was 830 ml. Any complication was not detected in transfusion of CSA produced blood. This study shows that CSA allows safe and practical blood salvage during adult cardiac operations.

Cysteinyl leukotrienes are inflammatory mediators having important role in pathophysiological conditions such as asthma and allergic rhinitis. CysLT1 receptor mediates most of the disease regulatory actions of the CysLTs and it is been implicated in a number of inflammatory conditions including gastrointestinal and cardiovascular diseases. Hence in the present study, molecular docking of CysLT1 was performed with its potent and orally efficacious antagonist CP-199330 and CP-199331. The aim of this study was to compare the interaction of CP-199330 and CP-199331 with known drugs such as Zafirlukast, Pranlukast and Montelukast which had already showed clinical efficacy in the treatment of asthma. The residues such as TYR83, GLN274, LYS311 and SER313 were found to interact with both the antagonist and the known drugs. Also, we noticed the docking scores and interaction of the antagonists were comparable with the known drugs. Hence these antagonists could serve as better drugs for the treatment of allergy.

This study classify and compare leisure activities migrants women multi-cultural family member includes husband and children. Their common leisure activities is normal daily activity life comparable non leisure daily activity life. Those of common leisure actives is watching type of leisure such as reading book, eat out, visit relatives which reflect passive and egocentric. Therefore need to ownself active, self creative, as well as its family harmony oriented is more signigicant. Future study will be find out the barrier of cultural activities and advanture activities leisure for multi-cultural family.

This study reviews several of the procedures that have been used to predict ground-born vibration. The vibration responses are measured at three sites that have different soil qualities. The measured vibration levels are compared with the predicted results by previously used vibration level prediction models. In this study a numerical method, which is based on explicit differential method, is used to compensate tot existing prediction models. Although numerically computed results are not quantitatively in good agreement with the measured results, the trends are comparable in the sense that vibration level does not decrease monotonically with distance. Also, The site with the deepest tunnel gives the highest vibration level.

This study was conducted to develop and propose a model for an organizational system and management strategies for Healthy Families Centers. As baseline research, the organization of comparable institutions such as the Social Welfare Center, Women's Development Center, Elderly Welfare Center, Child Welfare Center, and Childcare Information Center was analyzed. Based on the results of baseline research and the draft version of Healthy Families Act, this study proposed a management model for Healthy Families Centers. This proposed model suggests the city, county, and district level centers to be organized with three divisions: 1. family counseling team, 2. family education team, and 3. family life team. Concrete assignments for the teams are also proposed. Finally, a networking system for more effective management of the healthy families centers was also proposed.

A new additive for semi-brightness finish in nickel electroplating, having a quarternary ammonium salt structure, has been developed in this study. The effectiveness of the new additive was tested in laboratory-scale eletroplating tests as well as in a full-scale factory plating line. An examination of the plated surface showed that the new additive is as good as the one produced by the most commonly used additive in the nickel plating industry. The plated surface was examined by SEM, EPMA, and Reflectance Spectroscopy, and was found to be compatible to the one obtained with commercial additives. The new additive has a shelf life comparable with those of other commercially available additives. The additive developed in this study has an excellent potential to be used commercially.
