  • This study aims to improve the fit of middle and high school girls' uniforms. This study researched on the sizing system reflecting their body figures. The results are as follows. First, to classify the middle and high school girls' figures, factor analysis, and cluster analysis were conducted. 4 factors were extracted for upper body of the middle school girls, and 5 factors were extracted for the highschool girls. For the lower body, 3 factors were extracted for both the middle and high school girls. The middle school girls were then divided into 4 groups for the upper body and 4 groups for the lower body. The high school girls were divided into 4 upper and lower body groups. Third, KS size intervals were used for frequency distribution of height and bust for the bodice, height and waist for the lower body. Sizing system of the uniform company and the frequency distribution of sizes were compared. As a result, sizing system of the uniform company and the frequency distribution overlapped very little. Fourth, sizing system considering body type distribution and high frequency distribution of sizes was suggested. As a result when 6 sizes were suggested 30% of the population was covered, and when 11 sizes were suggested 55% of the population was covered.

  • This study aims to improve the fit of high school girls' uniforms. This study researched on the fit of the recent high school girls' uniforms and developed a sizing system that adequately reflects their body figures. The results are as follows. First, the research showed that over 50% of the highschool girls wore their blouses too tight, whereas over 60% of the girls wore skirts that were appropriately fitted. Second, to classify the high school girls' figures, factor analysis and cluster analysis were conducted. 5 factors were extracted for upper body and 3 factors for the lower body. The girls were then divided into 3 groups for the upper body and 4 groups for the lower body. Third, KS size intervals were used for frequency distribution of height and bust for the bodice, height and waist for the lower body. Sizing system of the uniform company and the frequency distribution of sizes were compared. As a result, sizing system of the uniform company and the frequency distribution slightly overlapped. Fourth, sizing system considering body type distribution and high frequency distribution section of sizes was suggested. As a result, for the upper body, when 6 sizes were suggested, 43.9% of the population was covered and when 11 sizes were suggested, 58.3% was covered. For the lower body, when 6 sizes were suggested, 32.2% was covered, and when 11 sizes were suggested 58.9% of the population was covered.

  • In this paper, we propose an efficient scene based non-uniformity correction algorithm which performs the offset correction using the uniform obtained from input scenes for Infrared camera. In general, pixel outputs of a infrared detector can not be uniform. Therefore, the non-uniformity correction procedure need to be performed to make the image outputs uniform. A typical non-uniformity correction method uses a black body at the laboratory to obtain the output of the infrared detector's pixels for two temperatures, HOT and COLD, and calculates the non-uniformity correction parameters. However, output characteristics of the Infrared detector changes while the Infrared camera is operated, the fixed pattern noise of the Infrared detector and dead pixels are generated. To remove the noise, the offset correction is generally performed. The offset correction procedure usually need the additional device such as a thermo-electric cooler, shutter, or non-uniformity correction lens. Therefore, we introduce a general scene based non-uniformity correction technique without additional equipment, and then we propose an improved non-uniformity correction algorithm based on image to solve the problem of the existing technique.

  • Purpose - This study was intended to provide implications for the importance of color to airlines where the image customers feel about the business is paramount. The importance of colors shown by the airline crew, an important human resource for airlines as contact workers, was investigated. We wanted to present suggestions by investigating and comparing the difference in customer attitude regarding the color of uniforms of the airline crew. Research design, data, and methodology - A survey was conducted to examine differences in perception of airline uniform color, with the research that suggests that the customer's attitude to uniform color will vary. The difference in the perception of passengers according to the colors of the airline uniforms was determined by conducting an empirical analysis. Results - Customers have a different attitude about the color of the uniform of airline's flight attendants' uniform. Full service airlines (FSC) generally have a bright, calm, neat, and heavy-handed feeling, while low-cost carriers (LCC) have a distinctive, dynamic, energetic, and cheerful feeling. Conclusions - An empirical analysis of the study found that customers' attitudes vary by uniform color for each airline. It has also been revealed that Airline's uniform color can communicate the company's goals it wants to convey.

  • The present paper examines the stability analysis of the buckling differentiae of the small-scale, non-uniform porosity-dependent functionally graded (PD-FG) tube. The high-order beam theory and nonlocal strain gradient theory are operated for the mathematical modeling of nanotubes based on the Hamilton principle. In this paper, the external radius function is non-uniform. In contrast, the internal radius is uniform, and the cross-section changes along the tube length due to these radius functions based on the four types of useful mathematical functions. The PD-FG material distributions are varied in the radial direction and made with ceramics and metals. The governing partial differential equations (PDEs) and associated boundary conditions are solved via a numerical method for different boundary conditions. The received outcomes concerning different presented parameters are valuable to the design and production of small-scale devices and intelligent structures.

  • In this work, we reviewed AC break-down voltage characteristics in $SF_6$ Gas with spacer under nonuniform field, using the electrode construction of model spacer and simple protrusion. We cleared that breakdown voltage and surface flashover strongly depend on the position of spacer's insert.

  • Today, the uniform is perceived being important, because it transmits the unique company image through visualization of images, improves efficiency of work, and increases the feeling of belonging. Therefore, the purpose of this project was to make the winter uniform for the personnel in the manufacturing and the business departments of Korea Tobacco and Ginseng Corporation. The functional, aesthetic, and symbolic aspects were fully considered throughout the design process for the new uniform. To reflect the worker's opinions, the questionnaire method was used. The questionnaire was made up of the questions about the evaluation criteria and design preference for uniform. The result of the survey was reflected on the uniform design. The uniform consists of a jumper and a pair of pants. The jumper for manufacturing workers has two patched pockets with gussets. It has a convertible collar and a horizontal tuck on front panel. It has an open fastener on the front and a flap to cover the fastener. It has two types of pockets inside for functional reason. The welt one is for a wallet and the small one is for a pen. For the material, melanges with two tones of gray color was used, so it gave the sophisticated look on the uniform. The jumper for business workers also has a convertible collar and inside pockets. It has two slant slash pockets with welt. In addition, it has an attachable fur collar which gives thermal protection and aesthetic effect. The fabric has small check pattern and was made of wool. The pants are a basic trouser style with two pleats on the front.

  • We describe a unique process based on colloidal self-assembly that results in a uniform (almost hexagonally close-packed) layer of liquid crystal domains over large areas leading to single-substrate cholesteric LCDs with low switching voltages, excellent contrast, and high brightness. Extension to guest-host LCDs is also discussed.

  • Metal bipolar plate applied to Polymer Electrolyte Membrane Fuel Cell is getting most attractive due to their good feasibility of mass production and low cost. But it is one of the immediate causes of performance decline because it is difficult to reduce channel pitch of metal bipolar plate. In this study, mesh was inserted in between bipolar plate and GDL to obtain uniform contact pressure without reducing channel pitch. The section measuring and performance test were carried out to confirm the mesh structure distributes contact pressure equally in reacting area. The performance of 3 type mesh structures developed in this study were higher than the normal cell at all over the current range. Especially, it showed that the mesh cell performance was increased and pressure drop was decreased with diminishing mesh gap size. The Mesh structure was more sensitive to humidification and contact pressure change than the normal cell.
