This study aims to identify causal variables by examining the mutual influences of community consciousness and life satisfaction. We used some data of KCYPS. A longitudinal study of 1952 adolescents selected as a sample was conducted using the Aautoregressive crossover delay model. The results of this study are as follows: First, it showed that life satisfaction is consistently affecting the later life satisfaction with the passage of time. Second, community consciousness showed that the previous community consciousness has a constant influence on the subsequent community consciousness as time passes. Third, the effect of previous life satisfaction on community consciousness was significant. Therefore, the cross-delay effect of life satisfaction on community awareness was stable with time. In other words, life satisfaction level was a causal variable that takes precedence over community consciousness, and the higher the life satisfaction of the previous time, the higher the level of community consciousness in the future. Fourth, the cross-delay effect of community consciousness on life satisfaction was not significant because community consciousness at previous time had no meaningful effect on life satisfaction at later time, so consciousness of community at previous time affects life satisfaction. This study provided some implications basing on this results.
This research demonstrates the effects of a culture & arts treatment program for elderly women's regional community consciousness. The community consciousness used to be the core of the social capital in rural Korea, and there used to be a long tradition of mutual trust and cooperation in rural village community in Korea. However, recent trends in rapid urbanization or de-ruralization may affected community consciousness and social capital in rural society in Korea. The social capital has been existed in terms of mutual trust, commonly shared norms, and cooperative behavior in farm work and daily life of rural people. Commonly shared norms and networks have accelerated social effectiveness and promoted cooperative work as well as moral and spiritual aspects of rural society. Social capital in terms of community consciousness, participation of village work, visit and invitation of the neighborhood, and participation in various village group and networks were suveyed in JanggogRi, Jori Myun, Paju city, Gyeonggi province. The data collected from 65 persons, and the major findings of the study were as follow; The respondents responded that the community consciousness of de-rural area decreased in general with a few exception in the groups of alumni, family, religion and voluntary society. Social capital in terms of participation of village work, visiting the neighbors and voting increased slightly. Further research on social capital should be conducted to strengthen community consciousness, and various measures to increase the social capital should be adopted for livable community development.
The objectives of this study were: (a) to measure the level of rural community residents' environmental preservation consciousness, (b) to identify the variables related to their level of environmental preservation consciousness, and (c) to provide suggestions to improve their environmental preservation consciousness. The major findings of this study were as follows; 1) Personal characteristics- gender, years of education, age, and income- were related to the rural communities residents' the environmental preservation consciousness. 2) Social characteristics- membership in environmental organizations, participation in environmental preservation campaigns, environmental dispute within their communities, experiences of participation in environmental dispute in their communities, participation in environmental education-were related to the rural community residents' the environmental preservation consciousness. Based on the above findings, the following suggestions are offered: 1) To improve rural community residents' environmental preservation consciousness, residents in rural community should be motivated and encouraged to participate in environmental and agriculture-related organizations. 2) To effectively solve environmental disputes among rural community residents and between rural communities, central and local governments should provide opportunities for rural residents to acquire their sound environmental consciousness. 3) Environmental preservation consciousness should be assessed including affective domain, cognitive domain, and behavioral domain. Appropriate environmental education programs should be developed after considering rural residents' personal characteristics including education level, income, gender, years of residency, and are.

This study was motivated by the fact that the current tendency of social integration in apartment complex is not fully performed its functions as a recovery from the community. The purpose of the study is to provide basic data to be useful for living environment of apartment complex, through comparative analysis of residential conditions, community consciousness, and community facility using behavior of residents in national rental housing and condominium. The results are as follows. 1) Condominium's residents have high level of community consciousness compare to the national rental's. Even though both targets were generally above the average, housing and construction standard are required to reconsider for the enhancing of community consciousness of residents. 2) To activate the use frequency of community facility, the development and operation of the community program and the community space and facilities are constantly considered in the follow-up studies. 3) The more residents have high community consciousness, the more they use the community facilities.
Objectives: This study examined dental hygiene students' frequency of participation in community volunteer activities, job consciousness, depression, and self-esteem, and then identified the correlation among them. We also analyzed the moderating effect of depression and self-esteem on the correlation between participation in community volunteer activities and job consciousness. Methods: We surveyed 312 dental hygiene students attending four universities in South Chungcheong Province, Korea, from May 2 to June 15, 2016, through direct visits. They were given structured questionnaires containing four items on community volunteer activities, three on job consciousness, ten on self-esteem, and 13 on depression. To examine the moderating effect of depression and self-esteem, we performed analysis of variance, correlation analysis, and structural equation modeling analysis (based on the path analysis model and by inserting interaction terms) using SPSS and AMOS. Results: We observed a negative correlation between self-esteem and depression (r=-0.062) but a positive correlation between self-esteem and job consciousness (r=0.125). Depression and job consciousness had a negative correlation (r=-0.176). Depression had a statistically significant impact on job consciousness (r=-0.519, p<0.01). The interaction term between depression and frequency of community volunteer activities also had a statistically significant influence on job consciousness (r=0.090, p<0.05). These findings indicate that depression moderates the correlation between frequency of community volunteer activities and job consciousness at a statistically significant level. Conclusions: More frequent participation in volunteer activities enhances dental hygiene students' self-esteem, reduces depression, and raises job consciousness. The positive impact of volunteering on self-esteem, depression, and job consciousness warrants encouraging students' participation in community volunteer activities, creating supportive structures, and developing various volunteer programs relevant to the students' area of study.

This study aims to analyzes the Relationship Between Community Consciousness and Residents' Participation in Tourism Development. Starting in 2004, the Rural Tourism Development Project, which has been promoted in Korea, is taking a bottom-up approach that values the participation of residents. And Resident's Participation is also an important criterion for selecting business sites. As the farming community becomes more modern, the community consciousness is declining. But Community consciousness is an important factor for the sustainable maintenance of rural villages. And if community members share a sense of homogeneity, they can identify problems that communities have, and they can solve them with responsibility. Community consciousness can be called the basic infrastructure of residents' participation. Rural tourism feature different characteristics from other tourist areas in that the residential space of local residents is the destination of the tours. As a result, the influence on tourism development is directly affected, so the attitude of local residents is an important success factor unlike other tourism developments. The study analyzed the community consciousness and participation in Tourism Development, which is a significant success factor in rural areas. The survey which included 200 residents of the DMZ Peace Village Site, was concluded that the member's perception and ttachment among Community Consciousness affected the Residents' Participation, and that Economic Influence among tourist development attitudes affected the Residents' Participation. It based on the results in rural tourism development for the residents' participation should be considered with a plan to enhance the economic life satisfaction and promote the economic impact on the area.

This paper reviews the concept and limits of rural community development, examines the relation between consciousness education and movement, and suggests the model of social consciousness education to rural community movement. Since consciousness education is closely related to social movement methodologically, organizational and systematic community development movements for re-structuring the urban-oreiented policies and education which back up them be followed as natural consequence. Based upon the results of this study, the new paradigm is suggested. As shown in the model, new understanding of urban-rural continuum theory, new roles and concept of social consciousness education should be emphasized to solve the contemporary rural community problems. The organizational community development movement for the rural-oriented policy should be an essential process, and peoples' re-orientation, such as 'breaking stereotype', 'assumming a critical thinking toward social reality' etc., is the indispensible background of successful movement.
