건강 메시지의 독이성과 소통 효과 (Readability of Health Messages and Its Communicative Effect)

  • Objectives: Developing efficient health messages is important for improving health behaviors at a societal level. This study attempts to test a few variables that could constitute the elements for measuring readability of health message. The number of subject-verb relationships in a sentence, placement of jargon, i.e., explication before or after each jargon, and the number of less familiar Chinese characters were manipulated to hypothetically differentiate readability. Methods: In a $2{\times}2$ mixed factorial experiment, 152 college students read two health messages regarding side effect of health functional food and energy drink. The participants' perceived readability was asked, and eight questions were developed to measure the participants' recognition of the health information. Results: Those who read messages manipulated to have high readability rated the message significantly higher than those who read messages with low readability. Also, the former answered the questions more correctly than the latter, implying the association between readability and knowledge acquisition regarding health. Conclusions: Readability is suggested as a factor determining the effect of health messages in affecting the public's health risk perception and relevant behaviors. Further studies to sophisticate the measurement itself and to examine the effect of actual public messages with different readabilities are suggested.

The Effects of Self-Consciousness and News Consumption on Facebook

  • The popularity of social media has led to a variety of communicative behaviors among users. This study targeted Facebook as a representative social medial platform because it has the most subscribers in order to investigate factors that influence Facebook usage. In particular, because a person's behavior is based on how they are perceived by others, self-conscious behavior was examined in the study. Facebook usage and news consumption were examined to ascertain the effects of self-consciousness. An online survey was conducted to examine how private SC and public SC (SCs), affects Facebook usage (profiles and writing posts) and news consumption (clicking "like" and sharing news). 616 participants completed the survey, and results indicated that public SC was positively related to the degree of profile updating and post writing. On the other hand, private SC was positively related to the degree of news sharing. These results suggest that psychological elements significantly predict a user's behavior on Facebook.

  • 무선 센서 네트워크에서 통신 행위는 라우팅과 브로드캐스팅의 두 가지 형태로 특징지어질 수 있으며, 이중 브로드캐스팅은 효과적인 경로 탐색 및 패킷 전달을 위해 사용된다. 그러나 브로드캐스팅은 패킷의 중복 전달로 인한 에너지의 과소비로 네트워크의 수명을 단축시킨다. 본 논문에서는 2-hop 이웃노드 정보를 이용하는 Dominant Pruning 방식을 기반으로 중복된 포워드 노드를 제거하는 알고리즘을 제안한다. 제안한 알고리즘이 포워드 노드 수 및 네트워크 수명 면에서 우수한 성능을 나타냄을 시뮬레이션을 통해 입증하였다.

  • 인간의 협동적인 활동에서 협상은 협동적인 행위를 방해할 수 있는 충돌을 해결하는데 중요한 역할을 담당한다. 이를 위해 멀티 에이전트 시스템에서의 협상이 공통의 에이전트 통신 언어를 사용하는 메시지의 교환을 통해 진행한다고 가정한다. 본 논문에서는 자율적이고, 자기 목표에 충실하면, 한정된 자원을 가진 BDI 에이전트를 위한 합리적인 협상 메타 언어를 가정한다. 또한 에이전트의 정신적인 상태에 바탕을 두고 통신하는 BDI 에이전트를 위한 협상 프로토콜을 제안한다.

초등영재와 일반학생의 다중지능과 사회적 적응행동과의 관계연구 (The Relationship Between Multiple Intelligences and Social Adaptability of Gifted and General Students in Elementary School)

  • The purpose of this study was to determine the discrete intelligences from multiple intelligence affecting the social adaptive behavior, help to understand their relation and draw educational implications to be used in supporting gifted students who have social and emotional difficulties by comparing and analyzing the relation between multiple intelligence and social adaptive behavior of gifted and general elementary students. The conclusions of this study are as follows. First, the levels of both multiple intelligence and social adaptive behavior were significantly higher in gifted elementary students compared to general ones on all sub-factores, indicating that the gifted elementary students are more adaptive in such constructs as self-efficacy, self-esteem, communicative skill, school life and interpersonal skill compared to general ones. Second, the association between multiple intelligence and social adaptive behavior was statistically significant both in gifted and general elementary students, indicating that the two constructs have close relation with each other. Third, for the gifted elementary students, the logical-mathematical and interpersonal intelligences had explanatory powers for self-efficacy, self-esteem, communicative skill, adaptation in school life, interpersonal skill while, for the general ones, intra- and inter-personal intelligences had explanatory powers for most domains of social adaptive behaviors, indicating that development of intelligences affecting the social adaptive behavior many have positive effects on social and emotional development of both gifted and general elementary students.

이혼 부모와 자녀의 건강한 사회적응을 위한 통합적 집단치료 모형 개발 (The Development of all Integrated Group Therapy Model for Divorced Families' Better Adjustment)

  • This study aimed to develop a comprehensive group therapy program for divorced parents and their children for increased self-esteem, problem-solving technique, communication ability and emotional support. This comprehensive program was based on Solution-Focused and Satir's Experiential Family Therapy Models, as well as on therapeutic activities from various sources. Six mothers and 18 children of divorced families participated in this program which consisted of six, two-hour sessions. This program was found to be effective in enhancing the participants' self-esteem and communicative ability in addition to emotional support between mothers and their children, and among participants. Therapeutic activities were implemented in harmony with the Solution and Experiential based values and techniques, which seemed to heighten the fun and motivation for the participants to change their view points and behaviors in a positive way.

자폐아동을 위한 어머니 훈련 프로그램이 가정에서의 사회적 상호작용에 미치는 효과 (Intervention Efficacy of Mother Training on Social Reciprocity for Children with Autism)

  • Purpose: This study examined the efficacy of parent training interventions to facilitate social reciprocity and language development in children with autism. Methods: The social interaction behaviors of mothers and children over time were compared using single subject design experimentation methodology. five children who were diagnosed with autism and their mothers participated in the study. The participants were recruited from U city, Korea. The mothers were trained using training videotapes and demonstrations on how to facilitate social interaction with their children as well as promoting language development. following the training, data were collected three times per week by video taping mother-child interaction in their homes. Results: Four of the five mothers demonstrated increases in the use of imitation with animation and expectant waiting after the intervention compared to the baseline sessions; the children demonstrated noticeable increases in the use of initiation of interaction, vocalizations, and verbal production after their mothers received the training intervention. Conclusion : Results of this study demonstrate the efficacy of mother training to improve social interactions of children with autism. Additional important information can be gained by replicating this study with more participants and comparing intervention and control groups. Clearly, this intervention shows promise and has implications far clinical practice.

커뮤니케이션 과정으로서의 공연 관람 경험의 탐색 - 예매부터 경험의 공유까지 - (What It Means to Be Performing Arts Audiences: Exploring Communicative Experiences)

  • 본 연구는 문화소비에서 개인의 경험을 질적으로 살필 필요성을 제기하는 경험 중심의 관점에서 출발한다. 특히, 오프라인 기반 사회적 관계 뿐 아니라 온라인 기반의 정보 탐색 및 교류 행동을 공연 경험으로 연계시켜 공연 경험의 여정을 심층적으로 분석하고자 하였다. 이를 위하여 2명을 연구 단위로 설정하여 15팀(30명)을 대상으로 심층 인터뷰를 진행하였다. 특히, 공연 여정을 포착하기 위하여 공연 전과 후 2회의 인터뷰를 하고 모바일앱 기반 자기기록 데이터를 수집하였다. 연구 결과, 공연 경험을 증폭시키고 취향을 공고화하는데 소셜플랫폼 기반의 미디어와 그 안에서의 교류가 공연전후로 중요한 기능을 하고 있다는 것을 확인할 수 있었다. 또한, 공연 동반자의 가치 및 취향 리더와 팔로워 관계를 발견함에 따라 공연 관람에서의 관계적 측면을 이해할 수 있었다. 그리고 각각의 발견마다 열성 관객, 관심 관객 및 무관심 관객의 차이가 관찰되었다. 이로부터 공연 경험을 공연 그 자체에만 국한된 것이 아니라 그 전후의 커뮤니케이션 활동을 포괄하여 이해해야 하며, 개인 혼자의 경험이 아닌 사회적 관계 속에서 공연 관람이라는 소비가 발생한다는 점을 제시하였다.

  • 미래에는 로봇이 사람의 감정 상태를 이해하거나 적절하게 자신의 행동을 표현하는 기능은 중요해 질 것이다. 사람간의 교류에서 메세지의 93%가 행동 표현에 있으며, 바디 랭귀지는 감정의 양을 표현하므로 행동 표현은 중요한 감정 표현 수단이다. 최근의 로봇들은 얼굴, 제스처, LED, 소리 등의 복합적 방법을 이용하여 사람과 교류하고 있지만 포즈는 위치와 방위, 얼굴이나 제스처는 속도, 말이나 색 풍은 시간에 대한 정보가 필요하기 때문에 하나의 모델로 통합하거나 동기화 시키기 어렵다. 한편 작은 세기의 감정에서, 얼굴은 쉽게 표현이 가능하지만 제스처는 표현이 힘들다. 또한 기존의 감정 경계는 같은 형태와 크기를 가지거나, HHI 분야에 국한되어 연구되어 왔다. 본 논문에서는 정서 공간에서 감정의 경계를 어떻게 정의할 것이며, 복합적 표현 방법을 시스템적으로 어떻게 동기화할 수 있을지를 제안한다.

  • Today, design is considered to have competitive power for a county, so there has been various efforts such as education, publicity and development, etc. Design has long been a national material, and Korea Institute of Design Promotion(KIDP) was inaugurated for the purpose of education, publicity, development and the management, public ownership, support of the contents. Laying stress on the results, however, the design education for children which would be the heart of a world design power is short of both investment and systematic study of education. Now that the design education for children is being active, the cultural spaces are needed to transform the current system focused on schooling and textbooks into the participating, experiential ones by the interesting, educational, and entertaining presentation. The children design exploratorium should make children have their own feelings, and present communicative methods considering children's cognition and behaviors. So, in this study, I'd like to analyze characteristics of the participating and experiential exhibition, and present a children design exploratorium as an alternative plan by the application of adequate methods to the exhibition medium, and the analysis of current exploratoriums' features case by case. The children design exploratorium is the place to maximize the educational effect of design by children's easier and exciting participation, which would offer an unique exhibition place for children to comprehend designs. In this study, on the basis of the alternative presentation of children design exploratoriums, I would refer to the future direction of the 21st century pavilions, the search for the exhibition items for active design education, and the contribution to practical plans.
