배합사료의 크기, 사육밀도 및 용존산소 농도가 넙치(Paralichthys olivaceus)의 성장에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Feed Particle Size, Stocking Density, and Dissolved Oxygen Concentration on the Growth of Olive Flounder Paralichthys olivaceus)

  • We performed three sets of feeding trials to establish the optimal feed size (Exp-I), stocking density (Exp-II), and dissolved oxygen level (DO) (Exp-III) for olive flounder Paralichthys olivaceus. In Exp-1, four replicate groups of fish ($53.6{\pm}0.9g$) were fed commercial diets with three particle sizes (small, medium, and large). In Exp-II, fish ($30.0{\pm}0.1g$) were reared at four stocking densities (1.8, 3.5, 5.3, and $7.1kg/m^3$). In Exp-III, fish ($187{\pm}1.48g$) were reared under two different DO levels (2-3 and 6-7 mg/L). In Exp-I, fish fed the large-particle diet gained significantly more weight and had a lower feed conversion ratio than fish fed the small- and medium-particle diets. In Exp-II, fish reared at 1.8 and $3.5kg/m^3$ gained slightly more weight and had lower feed conversion ratios than fish reared at 5.3 and $7.1kg/m^3$, although these differences were not significant. In Exp-III, negative effects were observed in the low DO groups. Therefore, under our experimental conditions, the optimal feed particle size, stocking density, and DO level for olive flounder were 9-9.4 mm, $3.5kg/m^3$, and 6-7 mg/L, respectively.

  • 표고는 항암활성과 면역활성을 촉진하는 렌티난이라는 ${\beta}$-glucan을 가진 식용버섯이다. 본 연구에서는 표고 톱밥재배에서 배지의 영양원의 종류와 버섯 발생온도에 따른 표고조직의 ${\beta}$-glucan 함량의 변화를 메가자임법으로 조사하였다. 배지 중량이 감소하면서 버섯생산량은 증가하였지만, 이 생산량은 중량감소보다 영양원 종류에 더 크게 영향을 받았다. 콩비지 + $CaCl_2$ 처리구(50.4%)를 제외한 표고의 ${\beta}$-glucan 함량은 39.5~42.1% 범위였다. 자실체 발생 온도에 따른 ${\beta}$-glucan 함량은 발생온도 증가에 따라 반비례 관계가 나타났고, 저온 발생조건에서 42.4%였다.

  • This study was conducted to effect of extruded pellets (EPs) and moist pellet (MP) diet on growth and fish health parameters in farm cultured olive flounder Paralichthys olivaceus. Two replicate groups of 2,600 fish per each tank (initial weight of $30.1{\pm}0.2$ g) were fed one of the three EPs (EP1, EP2 and CEP) and one MP for 13 months. In field feeding experiment conducted in commercial flounder farm, survival, growth (30-600 g) and condition factor of fish fed experimental EP1 and EP2 were comparable to those of fish fed MP, but considerably higher feed efficiency and protein efficiency ratio were observed in fish fed experimental EPs. Viable cell counts from diet and water from MP diet were considerably higher than those from EP diet, and lysozyme activity from EP diet was higher than that from MP diet. GOT and GPT of fish fed the EP diet were considerably lower than those from MP group, but total protein and glucose concentration of fish fed the EP groups were not significantly different from that of fish fed the MP. Therefore, these results strongly suggest that EP diets could be developed to replace MP diet without adverse effects on growth performance and to enhance the immunity and protective ability of olive flounder against fish disease such as Vibro, Edwardsiella and Strptococcus.

  • This study was conducted to obtain basic data which can be applied to process of canned boiled Kwamaegi. Commercial Kwamaegi was cut into $2{\times}3$ cm lengths, filled 90 g into can (301-3) and added with 60 g water and then precooked for 10 min. at $100^{\circ}C$. And water layer was drained. The precooked Kwamaegi was packed into the can, and added with 60 g of mixed salt solution, which is mixed with salt 0.5% and bamboo salt 0.7%. The cans were seamed using a vacuum seamer, and then sterilized for various Fo values (Fo 8~12 min.) in a steam system retort at $121^{\circ}C$. pH, VBN, amino-N, total amino acid, free amino acid, color value (L, a, b), texture profile, TBA value, mineral, sensory evaluation and viable bacterial count of the canned boiled Kwamaegi produced with various sterilization condition(Fo 8~12 min.) were measured. There was no remarkable difference between sterilization conditions and sensual characteristics. The results showed that the product sterilized at Fo 8 min. was the most desirable because this condition is the most economical and tasty.

국소치료용 구강점막패취의 제제설계 및 약제학적 특성 (Formulation and Pharmaceutical Properties of Local Mucoadhesive-Patch Preparation)

  • In order to ameliorate disadvantages of buccal ointments and mucoadhesive tablets used for the treatment of aphthosis, a thin mucoadhesive patch containing triamcinolone acetoni de was designed and evaluated for the pharmaceutical properties. The adhesive gel layer consisting of Noveon AA-1, hydroxypropylcellulose-M and ethylcellulose N 100, and the protective gel layer of ethylcellulose N 100, Eudragit RSPO and castor oil have been formulated and various properties such as viscosity of drug gel layer, thickness, in vitro adhesion time, adhesive strength, surface pH, content uniformity and drug release are tested. The mean viscosity of drug-containing gel layer was found to increase with increasing amount of Noveon OAA-1 or hydroxypropylcellulose-M. The optimum formulation showed the thickness of 171 ${\mu}$m, surface pH of 4.6, in vitro adhesion time of 8 hours and adhesive strength of 272.7g/sheet. The drug content of each patch was relatively homogeneous with the value of 273${\pm}$6.77g. Drug release study showed that compared to mucoadhesive tablet, the patch showed a faster drug release. Drug release was delayed by hydroxypropylcellulose-M, but not by ethylcellulose N 100. The patches prepared were nonirritant and the muco adhesion was better than the commercial product (AftachR) on the market. Based on these results, this mucoadhesive patch is expected to be an effective dosage form for the treatment of aphthosis.

차량사고 위험도를 고려한 방풍벽 설치기준 (Decision Making Process for Wind Barrier Installation Considering Car Accident Risk)

  • 본 연구에서는 강풍에 의한 차량의 주행안정성 확보를 위해 설치하는 방풍벽의 설치기준을 제안하였다. 이를 위하여 먼저 차량전용해석 수단인 CarSim 및 TruckSim을 사용하여 풍속 및 차량속도에 따른 횡방향 이탈량을 계산하고, 이로부터 차종별 위험 풍속을 결정하였다. 그리고 방풍벽 설치 여부의 판단을 위해 방풍벽 설치로 인해 얻을 수 있는 사고위험과 주행편익 등을 생애주기 동안의 비용으로 환산하였다. 사고위험 계산을 위해 해당지역의 풍속확률분포, 일평균통행량, 차종별 혼입율 및 구간풍속 지속시간 등을 이용하였다. 방풍벽 설치 전과 후의 총 비용과 편익을 비교하여 방풍벽 설치로 인한 편익이 설치 비용보다 큰 경우 방풍벽을 설치하는 것으로 판정하였다. 수치해석을 통해 고속도로 상의 두 곳을 대상으로 방풍벽 설치 여부에 대한 판정을 수행하였다.

AC transport current loss analysis for anti-parallel current flow in face-to-face stacks of superconducting tapes

  • In this study we investigated ac transport current losses in the face to face stack for the anti-parallel current flow, and compared the electromagnetic properties with those of the single SC tape as well as those of the same stack for the parallel current path. The gap between the SC tapes in the stack varied in order to verify the electromagnetic influence of the neighbors when current flows in opposite direction, and the model was implemented in the finite element method program by the commercial software, COMSOL Multiphysics 4.2a. Conclusively speaking, the loss was remarkably decreased for the anti-parallel current case, which is attributed the magnetic flux compensation between the SC layers due to the opposite direction of the current flows. As the gap between SC tapes was increased, the loss mitigation became less effective. Besides, the current density distribution is very flat cross the sample width for the narrower gap case, which is believed to be benefit for the power electric system. These results are all in good agreement with those predicted theoretically for an infinite bifilar stack.

Development of a natural plant-nutrient from wasted tea leaves and stems

  • Plant biomass is a huge carbon-complex that has potential as a nutrient. Therefore we extracted and separated useful materials for plant growth from tea leaf and stem. The pre-treatment process including high temperature ($200^{\circ}C$) and pressure (20-40 kgf/$cm^2$) was treated for several minutes and extracted at $120^{\circ}C$ for 30-60 minutes. After that the chemical compositions and ingredients were analyzed from that plant-nutrient. As a result of mineral contents, calcium and magnesium concentrations are higher than other minerals. Also the result of carbohydrates analyses has shown that the sugar oligomer consists of xylose(95.3%) and glucose(4.7%), and the sugar monomer consists in the order of xylose (52.7%) > manose (22.8%) > arabinose (10.8%) > galactose (10.2%) > glucose (3.5%). Before applied to field, in vitro plant growth system and formulation were examined. To evaluate the effect of the nutrients, both strawberry green-house and persimmon fields were used in this test. The treated persimmons were heavier than controls scored at 13-22%. In addition, the storage-period was extended in the treated strawberries. Interestingly in the treated strawberry, the contents of polyphenols were increased (38-57%). These results suggest that the plant-nutrient can afford to help for plant growth and storage, and it can be substituted for other commercial nutrients. In conclusion, this plant-nutrient may help to extend eco-friendly or organic farming in Hadong-gun area.

In Vitro에서 살균제의 딸기 화분발아 억제 효과 (Effects of Fungicides on Inhibition of in Vitro Strawberry Pollen Germination)

  • 딸기의 잿빛곰팡이병과 흰가루병을 방제하기 위해 개화기에 살균제 처리가 요구된다. 최근에 딸기에 등록된 살균제들이 딸기 화분 발아에 미치는 영향은 거의 알려지지 않았다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 in vitro 상에서 딸기 3품종의 화분에 대한 24종의 살균제와 6종의 친환경자재에 대해 발아에 미치는 영향을 조사하였다. 딸기의 화분은 18% sucrose agar 배지에서 $25^{\circ}C$로 처리되었을 때 쉽게 발아되었으며, '설향', '매향', '금향'의 평균 화분 발아율은 각각 15.3, 18.4, 30.7%을 보였다. Pyraclostrobin, azoxystrobin, kresoxim-methyl, dichlofluanid, iminoctadine tris, sulfur는 무처리구 대비 93.8% 이상의 화분 발아 억제가를 나타내었다. 반면, simeconazole과 procymidone 살균제의 화분 발아율은 영향이 가장 적었다. 이 in vitro 검정 결과는 딸기 재배농가의 개화기 살균제 선정에 대한 정보를 제공할 수 있을 것이다.

생물막 형성 Bacillus cereus에 대한 유기산, 에탄올 및 NaCl의 제어효과 (Biocontrol of Biofilm-forming Bacillus cereus by Using Organic Acid, Ethanol, and Sodium Chloride)

  • 유리섬유를 이용하여 B. cereus의 biofilm 형성 조건을 확인한 결과 3시간 이후부터 부착하여 48시간에 biofilm이 많이 형성된 것을 확인하였다. 그리고 biofilm 형성 B. cereus의 제어를 위해 에탄올, NaCl, 유기산을 각각 단독으로 처리하였을 때 1% 젖산, 아세트산, 구연산을 30분 처리하였을 때 약 5-6 log CFU/g-glass wool 수준 감소하여 가장 좋은 효과를 나타냈다. 또한, 20% 에탄올과 각각의 1% 유기산, 20% 에탄올과 10% NaCl의 두 가지를 혼합 처리의 경우 단독으로 처리했을 때보다 저감화 효과가 우수했으며, 20% 에탄올과 10% NaCl 및 각각의 1% 유기산을 1-5분 동안 혼합 처리 했을 때 약 7-8 log CFU/g-glass wool 수준이 감소하여 biofilm 형성 B. cereus의 제어에 가장 효과적이었다. 따라서 본 연구 결과를 통해 유기산, 에탄올, NaCl 복합 처리 방법을 사용하여 biofilm 형성 B. cereus의 저감화를 효과적으로 할 수 있을 것으로 판단된다.
