  • This study described computer aided die design system for cold forging of non-axisymmetric parts. To design the die of cold forging. an integrated approach based on a rule-base system and commercial F. E. code were adopted. This system is implemented on the personal computer and its environment is a commercial CAD package named as AutoCAD. The system includes four modules. In the initial data input module, the variables which are necessary to design of die are inputted by user and die material are selected from the database. In the analysis and redesign module, stress distrubution action on the designed die is analyzed by commercial FEM code NISA II. The designed die is modified to prevent failure in both states of stress free and pressurizing. The developed system provides powerful capabilities for die design of non-axisymmetric parts.

To design the cold forging die, an integrated approach based on a rule-base system and commercial F. E. code were adopted. This system is implemented on the personal computer and its environment is a commercial CAD package named as Auto CAD. The system includes four modules. In the initial data input module, variables which are necessary to design of die are inputted by user and die material are selected from the database according to the variables. In the analysis and redesign module, stress distribution acting on the designed die is analyzed by commercial FEM code NISA II with elastic mode. If die failure predicted, the designed die would modified in four ways to prevent die failure in both states of stress free and pressurizing. The developed system provides useful date and powerful capabilities for die design of non-axisymmetric parts.

  • In the past decade, several tools have been developed to automate the floating-point to fixed-point conversion for DSP systems. In the conversion process, a number of scaling shifts are introduced, and they inevitably alter the original code sequence. Recently, we have observed that a compiler can often be adversely affected by this alteration, and consequently fails to generate efficient machine code for its target processor. In this paper, we present an optimization technique that safely migrates scaling shifts to other places within the code so that the compiler can produce better-quality code. We consider our technique to be safe in that it does not introduce new overflows, yet preserving the original SQNR. The experiments on a commercial fixed-point DSP processor exhibit that our technique is effective enough to achieve tangible improvement on code size and speed for a set of benchmarks.

  • An efficient code has been developed to predict dispersion of indoor air pollutants The computing capability of the code has been compared with that of a commercial code inn a benchmark test. After that, the code has been employed to compute dispersion of a pollutant released from a new furniture, a kind of Sick Building Syndrome (SBS). A sofa which generates formaldehyde is implemented by using an immersed boundary method. Large Eddy Simulation (LES) is employed to obtain time-dependent velocity and scalar fields. LES has bee regarded as an academic tool, but the newly-developed code reveals a possibility of application of LES to practical problems, especially dispersion of indoor pollutants.

  • Recently, various static analysis tools for software defect detection are becoming widely used in practice. However, there is little public information of the most frequent defects in commercial areas until now. In this paper, we analyze the defects found by CodeSonar, a static analysis tool that finds defects in C/C++, Java programs. So we report the most frequent defects by various aspects in Dongnam area, Korea.

  • Purpose : To implement the database system of oral and maxillofacial radiological images using a commercial medical image management software with personally developed classification code. Materials and methods : The image database was built using a slightly modified commercial medical image management software, Dr. Image v.2.1 (Bit Computer Co., Korea). The function of wild card '*' was added to the search function of this program. Diagnosis classification codes were written as the number at the first three digits, and radiographic technique classification codes as the alphabet right after the diagnosis code. 449 radiological films of 218 cases from January, 2000 to December, 2000, which had been specially stored for the demonstration and education at Dept. of OMF Radiology of Dankook University Dental Hospital, were scanned with each patient information. Results: Cases could be efficiently accessed and analyzed by using the classification code. Search and statistics results were easily obtained according to sex, age, disease diagnosis and radiographic technique. Conclusion : Efficient image management was possible with this image database system. Application of this system to other departments or personal image management can be made possible by utilizing the appropriate classification code system.

  • For the optimal design of plasma facing components of a fusion reactor, thorough understanding of thermal behavior of high heat. nux components are required. The purpose of this research is to investigate the characteristics of heat flow and thermal stress in divertors which are exposed to high heat load varing with time and space-Numerical simulations of heat now and thermal stress for three types of diverter are performed using finite volume method and finite element method. Respectly, commercial FLUENT code are used in the heat flow simulation, and maximum surface temperature, temperature distribution and cooling rate are calculated. Commercial ABQUS code are used for calculating temperature distribution. thermal stress, strain and displacement. Through this computer simulation. design data for cooling system and Structural provided.

  • This paper presents a computer design program for In-Core Instrumentation(ICI) guide tube routing and locations on support system, and checking the interference between ICI guide tubes in the reactor coolant system of typical Pressurized Water Reactor. The program, ICITRIC, has been written in FORTRAN language which is available under UNIX environment. Results of this program are compared with those of the commercial code, PATRAN, and both results are almost same Also the results may provide input data for ICI system static and dynamic analysis performed by the commercial code, SUPER PIPE. This program can simulate ICI guide tube routing and locations on support system, and checking the interference between ICI guide tubes. Through a process of iteration, the designer can apply initial conditions, and modify the routing until satisfied with the overall system performance.

  • Web applications make life more convenient. Many web applications have several kinds of user input (e.g. personal information, a user's comment of commercial goods, etc.) for the activities. On the other hand, there are a range of vulnerabilities in the input functions of Web applications. Malicious actions can be attempted using the free accessibility of many web applications. Attacks by the exploitation of these input vulnerabilities can be achieved by injecting malicious web code; it enables one to perform a variety of illegal actions, such as SQL Injection Attacks (SQLIAs) and Cross Site Scripting (XSS). These actions come down to theft, replacing personal information, or phishing. The existing solutions use a parser for the code, are limited to fixed and very small patterns, and are difficult to adapt to variations. A machine learning method can give leverage to cover a far broader range of malicious web code and is easy to adapt to variations and changes. Therefore, this paper suggests the adaptable classification of malicious web code by machine learning approaches for detecting the exploitation user inputs. The approach usually identifies the "looks-like malicious" code for real malicious code. More detailed classification using sequence information is also introduced. The precision for the "looks-like malicious code" is 99% and for the precise classification with sequence is 90%.
