To improve the quality of oral presentation of technical papers, this article suggests some guidances for the organization of contents and the presentation of materials. Some Suggestions are also made on the use of over-head projectors. Some comments are also given on the writing of statistical papers.

The purpose of this paper is to provide some corrections regarding algebraic flaws encountered in the paper entitled "Sixteenth-order method for nonlinear equations" which was published in January of 2010 by Li et al.[9]. Further detailed comments on their error equation are stated together with convergence analysis as well as high-precision numerical experiments.

The purpose of this paper is to introduce the development of a new Lesson Video-Case Lab (LVCL) program in Suzhou, China. This program involves the creation of several series of hypermedia video-cases on teaching and learning designed to facilitate mathematics teachers' professional development. Each of these video-cases consists of lesson clips, case questions, interviews with experts, comments by peers, responses by students and other related resources. The study has implications pertaining to the use of technology in teacher development, the production of hypermedia video-cases, as well as research on case-based pedagogy and pedagogy in general.

In this note, some comments concerning the testing procedures for the problems of stochastic comparison, testing IFR and testing NBU ageing properties are presented showing that the tests proposed in Belzunce, Candel and Ruiz(1998) are cumbersome to calculate and do not have as good asymptotic Pittman efficacies as simpler others already in the literature. This is done via new presentations of the measures on which Belzunce et al. base their tests.

The third important Euler-Mascheroni constant $\gamma$, like $\pi$ and e, is involved in representations, evaluations, and purely relationships among other mathematical constants and functions, in various ways. The main object of this note is to summarize some known series representaions for $\gamma$ with comments for their proofs, and to point out that one of those series representaions for $\gamma$ seems to be incorrectly recorded. A brief historical comment for $\gamma$ is also provided.

The prototype test train(HSR 350X) was developed and is now being tested in R＆D project for developing Korean High Speed Rolling Stock. International cooperative works with German, Japanese, Danish English and Swiss company were done for reviewing the results made by domestic companies and enhancing their design capability. The main results of cooperation are shown in this paper. In addition, some problems and comments issued during cooperation are also represented.

IETF(International Engineering Task Force)(1)는 1986년 1월, 21명의 소수 전문가들이 미국 샌디에고에서 첫 번째 회의를 개최한 이후로, 2006년 11월 제 67차 회의에 이르기까지 20년 동안 인터넷 기술표준을 다루는 사실상의 인터넷 관련 최고 권위의 표준화기구로 활동하고 있다. 본 고에서는 IETF의 표준 문서인 RFC(Request For Comments)를 최종 표준문서로 등록하기까지 필요한 국제 표준화 활동 및 전략 등을 소개하고, 이와 관련한 국제표준화 활동의 에피소드 등을 소개한다.

The Russian theory of inventive problem solving method in Engineering, TRIZ is introduced to the non Engineering field these days. In this paper, the applications of TRIZ to creative knowledge management for knowledge creation are reviewed.
