실험실규모 순환유동층에서 RDF와 RPF의 연소 특성에 관한 연구 (Combustion of RDF and RPF in a Lab-Scale Circulating Fluidized Bed)

  • Combustion of refuse derived fuel(RDF) and refuse plastic fuel (RPF) was carried out in a lab-scale circulating fluidized bed. Experiment was investigated cold flow visualization. RDF was made by C & tech and RPF was made by KRS. The results include distribution of temperature in the combustion chamber, and concentrations of flue gas such as $O_2$, $CO_2$, CO, $NO_x$ and HCs Micro G.C(gas chromatograph) was employed to find out concentration of He Temperature distribution was different when RDF and RPF were burnt respectably. As air ratio became increased, $CO_2$, CO, and total of HCs emissions were decreased. According to the number of carbon atom of HCs, HC were classified as five kinds of HC.

에멀죤 연료의 연소 배출가스특성 및 연소 효율에 관한 분석평가 (An Analytical Evaluation on the flue Gas and Combustion Efficiency of Emulsion Fuel)

  • 중유 및 물이 혼합된 에멀젼 연료의 연소 특성이 평가되어졌다. 에멀젼 연료의 연소가스 중 $SO_x$의 농도는 순수한 중유 연소가스의 57%로 감소되었으며, 에멀젼 연료의 연소 가스 중 $NO_x$의 농도는 순수한 중유 연소가스의 67%로 감소되었다. 에멀젼 연료 연소가스에서의 $SO_x$의 감소는 에멀젼 연료 중 포함되어있는 계면 활성제중의 salt와의 반응에 기인하는 것으로 사료된다. 또한, 에멀젼 연료의 연소 효율은 순수한 중유보다 약 6% 정도 더 높은 것으로 평가되었다.

  • This case covers the issues related to the operation problem, cause analysis and improvement cases of the FGD that employed the non-leakage type GGH in coal-fired power plant for the first time in Korea. In the Cooler, there was a main problem that the tube is damaged by the ash cutting due to the high velocity of flue gas in the duct and by the weak wear resistance of material. In the Reheater, there was a main problem that the tube was corroded due to chlorine and sulfur in the circumstance of the low temperature. In order to solve those problems, we have improved the Reheater tube and tube fins by coating enamel to reduce corrosion rate.

  • 가압유동층 연소 유닛은 1~1.5 MPa, 연소 온도 850~87$0^{\circ}C$ 조건으로 운전된다. 가압 석탄 연소 시스템은 전열관을 통한 열전달로 증기를 생산하며 가스터빈으로 공급될 고온 가스를 생산한다. 가스 중의 고체 잔류물에 의한 가스터빈의 성능 저하 때문에 가스 정제가 매우 중요하며 석탄과 흡수제 및 연소 공기를 가압하여야 하고 배가스와 회 제거 시스템에서는 감압을 해야 하기 때문에 운전이 다소 복잡하다. 증기터빈 대 가스터빈에서 생산되는 전력의 비율은 약 80:20이고 모든 부하 범위에서 연소기와 가스터빈이 서로 적절히 조화를 이루어야 하기 때문에 PFBC와 복합 사이클 발전 루트는 독특한 제어 방식을 갖는다. 유동층에 적용할 수 있는 가스의 최대 온도는 회 융점에 의해 제한을 받기 때문에 가스터빈은 일반 가스터빈에 비해 좀 특별하다고 할 수 있다. 회의 용융이 일어나지 않도록 하기 위한 최대 허용 가스 온도는 약 90$0^{\circ}C$이다. 가스터빈의 높은 압력비 때문에 압축시 인터쿨링을 사용하며 이는 상대적으로 낮은 터빈 입구의 온도를 상쇄하기 위한 것이다.

  • 폐기물은 이차연료나 대체연료로 사용될 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 고형연료(SRF)와 건조 하수슬러지를 연소하여 배출되는 중금속 물질을 분석하였다. 석탄, SRF, 건조 하수슬러지의 구리(Cu), 크롬(Cr), 카드뮴(Cd), 니켈(Ni), 아연(Zn), 납(Pb), 비소(As), 수은(Hg) 함량을 조사하였고, 각 물질이 연소가스에서 가스상으로 존재하는 농도를 분석하였다. 실험결과, 가스상으로 배출되는 Cu, Cr, Cd, Ni, Zn, Pb의 양은 매우 적은 것으로 나타났다. 그러나 가스상 수은은 연소 배기가스에서 많은 양이 배출되었다. SRF는 연소 배기가스에서 높은 수은 산화도를 보였고, 건조 하수슬러지는 높은 수준의 수은 배출농도를 보였다.

  • Gasification has been regarded as a core technology in dealing with environmental pollutants and in obtaining higher efficiency for power generation. Among several ways in utilizing produced syngas from gasification, power generation would be the most prominent application. Syngas from coal was applied to the readily available LPG engine from automobiles. Main purpose was to identify the combustion characteristics in the modified gas engine when using syngas of low heating value and to test the modification optionsin the LPG gas engine. Gas engine rpm and the corresponding flue gas composition were measured for each syngas input condition. Results showed that even with syngas at the heating value of $1300{\sim}1800$ kcal/$Nm^3$ corresponding to the $6{\sim}7%$ of LPG heating value, gas engine operated successfully only with the problems of high CO and oxygen concentrations in the flue gas.

다공성세라믹버너의 화염안정화에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Flame Stability of Porous Ceramic Burner)

  • Typical boiler system consists of combustion chamber and heat exchanger in one housing, therefore the size of boiler system is large and the heat exchanging efficiency becomes low. At these boiler systems, because the combustible mixture fires as free flame in the combustion chamber, consequently the combusted hot gas heats the heat exchanger only as conductive and convective heat transfer. The present Porous Ceramic Burner concept is that combustion process is occurred at the gaps of the porous ceramic materials, and the heat exchanger is placed in the same porous materials. Therefore we can reduce the boiler size, and we can also use radiative heat transfer from ceramic material with conductive and convective heat transfer from combusted gas throwing the porous materials. The purpose of this study is to search the flame stability ranges at different fuel flow rate and excess air ratio burning in the $Al_2O_3$ ceramic balls. We found out the stable excess air ratio range on given combustion intensity. And we can get clean porous ceramic combustion results compared with free flame.

연소용 공기중 $N_2$$CO_2$대체에 대한 연소특성 해석 (A Study on the Characteristics of Combustion for Substituting $CO_2\;for\;N_2$ in Combustion Air)

  • [$CO_2$] is a well-known greenhouse gas, which is the major source of global warming. Many researchers have studied to reduce $CO_2$ emission in combustion processes. The central method of low $CO_2$ emission is Oxygen/CxHy combustion. Theoretically Oxygen/CxHy combustion only produces $CO_2\;and\;H_2O$ and allows convenient recovery of $CO_2$. The combustion characteristics, flame stability, composition in the flame zone and temperature profile were studied experimentally for various compositions of oxidant by substituting $CO_2\;for\;N_2$ with the constant $O_2$ concentration. Results showed that flame became unstable due to the high heat capacity, low transport rate and strong radiation effect of $CO_2$ in comparison with those of $N_2$. The reaction zone was quenched and broadened, as the ratio of $CO_2\;to\;N_2$ was increased. The emission of NOx in flue gas decreased due to the decreased temperature of the reaction zone. As the conversion ratio of $CO_2\;to\;N_2$ was increased, the emission of CO and the higher temperature zone increased due to decrease of reaction rate by the a quenching effect.

대향류 확산화염의 고온공기 연소특성에 관한 수치해석 (A Numerical Analysis of the Characteristics with High Temperature Air Combustion in Counterflow Diffusion Flame)

  • High temperature air combustion technology has been utilized by using preheated air over 1100 K and excessive exhaust gas recirculation. Numerical analysis was performed to investigate the combustion characteristics with high temperature deficient oxygen air combustion by adopting a counterflow as a model problem accounting for detailed chemical kinetics. Methane($CH_4$) was used as a test fuel and calculated oxidizer conditions were low temperature high oxygen (300K, $X_{O2}=0.21$) and high temperature low oxygen (1300K, $X_{O2}=0.04$) conditions. The latter case showed that the flame temperature is lower than the former case and its profile showed monotonic decrease from oxidizer to fuel side, without having local maximum flame temperature at high stretch rate. Also, heat release rate was one order lower and it has one peak profile because of low oxygen concentration and heat release rate integral is almost same for stretch rate. High temperature low oxygen air combustion shows low NO emission characteristics.

  • Geometry change of burner nozzle has influence on fuel atomizing and combustion characteristics. NOx reduction technologies can be divided into two method; Before combustion method(NOx treatment of fuel) and After combustion method(NOx treatment of flue gas). In this study, experiments are carried out using difference nozzle and combustion condition change to reduce NOx in heavy oil fired thermal utility boiler. These methods have advantage like easy application and low installation cost. By this method NOx can be reduced by 18% and maintain CO emission level.
