The purpose of this study was to investigate emotional images, preference, and purchasing intention on the color combination for knitwear cultural goods development. The subjects were 719 university students in Daejeon and Chungnam province, and the measuring instruments were 12 stimuli manipulated by the combination of chromatic and achromatic colors, and self-administrated questionnaires consisted of general color preference, emotional images, preference, and purchasing intention items of the knitwear cultural goods, and subjects' demographics attributions. The data were analyzed by Cronbach's ${\alpha}$, factor analysis, t test, ${\chi}^2$ test, ANOVA and Duncan's multiple range test, using SPSS program. The results were as follows. University students highly preferred black and gray color and deep tone on knitwear items, while they generally preferred blue and black color, and deep and pastel tone. The chromatic color combination was perceived as warm and conspicuous, but unattractive image. The achromatic color combination was perceived as cold and ordinary, but attractive image. Among the combination of chromatic and achromatic colors, gray & blue combination was perceived as more attractive image than red & dark gray combination. Color combination types of chromatic and achromatic color was showed some important differences on emotional image, preference and purchasing intention of knitwear cultural goods. Achromatic color combination was perceived as attractive image, and showed higher preference and purchasing intention than other color combination types.

In this study, we propose several simultaneous tests to detect the difference between means and variances for the two-sample problem when the underlying distribution is normal. For this, we apply the likelihood ratio principle and propose a likelihood ratio test. We then consider a union-intersection test after identifying the likelihood statistic, a product of two individual likelihood statistics, to test the individual sub-null hypotheses. By noting that the union-intersection test can be considered a simultaneous test with combination function, also we propose simultaneous tests with combination functions to combine individual tests for each sub-null hypothesis. We apply the permutation principle to obtain the null distributions. We then provide an example to illustrate our proposed procedure and compare the efficiency among the proposed tests through a simulation study. We discuss some interesting features related to the simultaneous test as concluding remarks. Finally we show the expression of the likelihood ratio statistic with a product of two individual likelihood ratio statistics.
A quantitative fit test, condensation nuclei counting (Portacount 8025, TSI), was performed concurrently with a banana oil (isoamyl acetate: IAA) qualitative fit test (MSA) to evaluate reliability on IAA QLFT and correlation between two methods. One brands of quarter mask (3M model 7500 medium) was prepared for QLFT with HEPA filter and gas & vapor removing media, i.e., combination cartridge. 110 subjects (65 male, 45 female) were fit tested QNFT and QLFT each three times. For a wearer combination having a FF<10, as determined by CNC QNFT, the point es timate (${\beta}$-error) of the probability of that combination not being rejected by the banana oil QLFT was found to be 0.0 with 95% confidence that this statistic is not expected to exceed 0.15. For a wearer combination having a FF<100, as determined by CNC QNFT, the point estimate of the probability of that combination not being rejected by the banana oil QLFT was found to be 0.07 with 95% confidence that this statistic is not expected to exceed 0.13. The uncertainty associated with each estimate, however, is large due to the small number of study subjects with inadequately fitting respirators.
The in vitro antibacterial activity against antibiotic-resistant Propionibacterium acnes of kaempferol isolated from the Impatiens balsamina alone and in combination with erythromycin or clindamycin antibiotics was investigated. The antibiotic combination effect against antibiotic-resistant P. acnes was studied by checkerboard test. Kaempferol and quercetin demonstrated antibacterial activities against P. acnes. Minimum inhibitory concentrations (MICs) for both compounds were ${\leq}32\;{\mu}g/ml\;and\;{\leq}64{\mu}g/ml$ for clindamycin-sensitive and -resistant P. acnes, respectively. The four combination formulations (kaempferol and either erythromycin or clindamycin; quercetin and either erythromycin or clindamycin) exhibited a synergic inhibition of P. acnes growth. The combination of kaempferol with quercetin showed an indifferent effect. The combination of clindamycin with kaempferol or quercetin showed a greater synergic effect than that of erythromycin with kaempferol or quercetin. Thus, these combinations demonstrated the potential to treat acne.
사용된 롤러 종류는 pneumatic tire roller, steel wheel roller, and combination roller를 사용하였다. 골재의 부착력을 평가하기 위해서 flip-over test(FOT), Vialit test, and the third-scale Model Mobile Loading Simulator (MMLS3) 시험방법들을 채택하였다.
Background: Our aim was to investigate the efficacy of the Pap test in combination with the ThinPrep cytological test (TCT) in screening for cervical cancer in China. Design: From March 2006 to October 2008, 988 women with the mean age $46.4{\pm}10.5$ years (range, 23-80 years) were recruited to receive cervical cancer screening. Pap test results ${\geq}$ grade III and TCT findings ${\geq}$ ASCUS/AGUS were considered abnormal. Subjects with a Pap test result ${\geq}$ grade IIb received TCT. Colposcopy and biopsies were performed in all participants, and final diagnosis was based on pathological findings. The sensitivity, specificity, positive predictive value (PPV), negative predictive value (NPV) and Youden index for predicting CIN I or above were determined. Results: The sensitivity, specificity, PPV, NPV and Youden index of the Pap test were 43.1%, 97.2%, 70.0%, 91.9%, and 40.3%, respectively. The same values for TCT in predicting CIN were 80.0%, 63.2%, 16.0%, 97.3%, and 43.2%, respectively. The two tests in combination gave values for predicting CIN of 64.8%, 87.6%, 43.6%, 94.4%, and 53.5%, respectively. Combined testing exhibited the highest Youden index (53.4%). Conclusion: The Pap test with a reduced threshold in combination with the TCT has high sensitivity and high specificity in screening for cervical cancer.
In this study, real fire tests were performed on representative combustibles of residential facilities to analyze the fire behavior and combustion characteristics in a small residential space. The considered combustibles were a sofa, a combination of a desk and a chair, and a combination of a mattress and an electric mat. A compartment space fire test was performed using the room corner test equipment prescribed in the KS F ISO 9705 specification. Three real fire tests were conducted by placing the combustible material inside a small compartment with insulation and finishing materials and by igniting the combustible material. Results showed that the peak heat release rate and peak smoke production rate occurred in the combination of the mattress and electric mat. Furthermore, from the result of the fire rate analysis, it was estimated that the fire risk of the mattress and electric mat combination was the highest, followed by the sofa and thedesk and chair combination.
This study was performed to investigate the material behavior of hybrid thermoplastic composites contained glass fiber and calcium carbonate. The composite was prepared with each combination ratio of calcium carbonate, and the content of glass fiber was fixed with 10% by weight. In order to investigate the material behavior for various combination ratio, tension test, flexural test, and impact test were performed. Microscopic observation were conducted to examine the fractured surface of specimen for tension test. And the material behavior of the hybrid thermoplastic composite immersed in salt water with definite time was investigated.
For the odor test, it was chosen the conventional spreader, the hose spreader, and its combination with disk harrow and spring harrow as a slurry spreader. By the odor tester (Kalmor-$\sum$) with dairy slurry, the conventional spreader has the average $\sum$ value of 270, which means that one fells substantial odor and torment. In the cases of hose spreader and its combination with disk harrow, $\sum$ value was 217 and 182 respectively, which means a normal person does not smell any odor. Spreading the swine slurry with a conventional spreader shows $\sum$ value of 440, which means one feels unpleasant. The hose spreader shows $\sum$ value of 258, which lies in the limit one feels some odor and torment. Its combination with disk harrow has $\sum$ value 184, which means that a normal person can not smell any more. For the conventional spreader, the odor intensity indices from air dilution sensual test and 3 point odor bag as a sensual test were 66.9 and 35.4 respectively. On the other hand, the indices were 9.65 and 11.10 by hose spreader and its combination with disk harrow, which were lower than that of the regulation for industry. Therefore, the developed hose spreader showed an excellent effect on decreasing odor. The correlation between the results from odor tester and 3 point odor bag has shown 0.997 by swine slurry.
The reaction rates, duration times and neutralizing capacities of the antacids which are frequently used in Korean market and three different commercial combination products were evaluated in vitro by Fuchs method and Johnson-duncan method, respectively. In vivo tests of combination products were determined in the fasted state of rat by Aspiration method. Comparing the result of in vitro test with that of in vivo test, the maximal pH was lowered by 2-3 value and the durational time increased by two folds in vivo test. Each antacid composition and combination products from three phamaceutical companies (A, B, and C) were studied, respectively. The duration times measured by Fuchs method were double compared to those by Johnson-Duncan method. A and C preparation maintained the pH range from 3 to 7 for 60 min by Fuchs method. In vovo test, maximum pH of A, B and C preparation was 6.50, 3.65, 2.65 and duration time of those was 200, 500, 0 min, respectively.
