  • Unity Painting is a concept that the researcher put forward to locate his own creative style in his creation. Unity Painting, with a clue of reflecting the characteristics of contemporary oriental visual culture, combines the contemporary painting features of a variety of western painting languages. It aims to link the painting system formed in the context of oriental culture with the world's contemporary art and try to present a new contemporary painting with oriental genes. According to the Chinese literature, the researcher sorted out the five main colors (五正色), ten colors for Heavenly Stems (十天干色彩), five intermediate colors (五间色), and five colors as the expression of the Chi of Thriving and Fading and the Chi of Birth and Death, and deduced the summary and stipulation of the color of yin-yang and five elements under the concept of Unity Painting. Based on this, the researcher drew the color-phase and its variation stipulation diagram of ten colors for Heavenly Stems, the orientation of Heavenly Stems (天干方位), color-phase variation diagram (色相变化图), as well as the stipulation system diagram of the five elements (五行), Heavenly Stems and Earthly Branches (干支), energy, time and colors. Through the research and collation of the literature, the researcher took the stipulated five elements color (五行色彩) as the basis of the color concept of creation to complete the work. This paper discusses how to find the starting point of contemporary art creation in the context of traditional oriental culture, sorts out the practical creation logic, and provides ideas for subsequent researchers, with a view to better establishing the identity of the creator and providing research significance and value in the context of the study of oriental art.

  • The purpose of this study is to research the similarity and difference of color application in the culture of Korea and Japan. The subject of this research is the costume color of Changgeuk and Kabuki. This survey analyzes Munsell's 3 attributes(Hue, Value, Chroma), tone, and 3D color analysis by extracted color data. And representative color according to Obangsaek is proposed. The results of this study are as follows: 1. High chroma red in Kabuki costume is more used as symbolic color(passion and luxurious) in order to show character's personality than that in Changguek costume. 2. Low chroma YR color(no-dyeing color) in Changgeuk costume much more used because of Korean white robe preference and eco-friendly thinking. But high chroma yellow is restrictive color for symbolic color of emperor in Korea and Japan. 3. Blue is most frequently used in both costumes because blue is encouraging color by the theory of exponents of the five elements doctrine. 4. White in Korean Changguek costume is more used for white robe preference thinking, but black in Kabuki costume is much more used for symbol of power in Japan. The similarity of Korean and Japanese cultural color is to use much Obangsaek, less Ogansaek by the theory of exponents of the five elements doctrine, but the difference of Korean and Japanese cultural color is to use color differently according to preference thinking system.

  • It has been believed that the human body can be effected by color, sound, smell, and taste - each of them is based on the original character. Out of these elements, the color can be a mediation that absorbs energy into human body and adapts it to the creatures whose life are definitely based on the solar energy. This thesis makes a study of the possibility of applying the color to the oriental medical science by researching the color psychology and therapy which are studied in the west medical science, the recognition and application of color developed from orientalism, and the opinion of color in the oriental medical science. Color therapy is one of the psychological treatment techniques that are able to recover and maintain the health with the rays of the sun rays and the color. The light and the color have its energy that may relax, harmonize, encourage, or excite a human being. This is because the wavelength and the vibration of each color will take effects to human body. The core energy of absorbing and distributing the color vibration is made in the 7 "chakras" in the body, which are the pith and marrow of bio-energy directly connected with the center of the nervous system. There are several methods in the color therapy - the treatment of solar ray, the color-bath, the water-therapy using color energy, the inducement of the solar energy into the body, the acupuncture, the therapy of crystal and jewel, and the self-suggestion dependent upon the color. The color therapy can help us to keep our balance by changing the emotion into the positive energy that will cure the disease with color. As a result, this method not only must be useful to cure physical disease, or develop into good health but also will be used in conforming itself to the mental disease. The color therapy mainly uses the eight colors, which are made by mixing Red, Yellow and Blue basic colors in the field. They are never used in the treatment, but they will go along with complementary colors. This rule is closely connected with the theory of yin and yang which lies at the root of oriental philosophy, and with the treatment principle of oriental medical science whose field is focused on the balancing the body mentally as well as physically. In the East, it is the Obangsaek - the color of blue, red, yellow, white, and black in the theory of yin and yang and the five elements that have been used in helping people having trouble with their health for a long time. In the view of the oriental medical science, these five colors attached the theory of five-elements have been very useful to the physiology, the pathology, or the diagnosis, and been applied to the medical treatment, combining themselves with a five-taste in medicinal herbs. Since the study of color and human physiology has been made in some different interest and fields these days, it goes to prove that the different function of color we couldn't have got before becomes very useful to the medical science. The color must be worth researching the diversity for applying itself to the oriental medical science.

This study conducted a survey on Chinese university students considering the characteristics and usability of university campus kiosks through user interface design elements in terms of design by considering previous studies. The purpose of this study is to examine the relationship between color, icon, typography, which are elements of kiosk interface design, and convenience, reliability, and usability, which are characteristics of a kiosk. In this study, the design elements and characteristics of the unmanned self-service system kiosk UI used by students at four universities in Korea and China were set as the scope of the study, and related documents were organized and surveyed in Korea and China. Case analysis and comparison method Through the kiosk usage characteristics of 4 universities were derived. The usability evaluation criteria use the five evaluation criteria suggested by the authority JacobNidsn. The usability evaluation criteria use the five evaluation criteria suggested by the authority JacobNidsn. • The morning ritual was a rite whereby a morning audience with the emperor was held for feudal lords sovereigns and subjects living in the precincts, monarchs or foreign envoys of the outskirts of the capital, and other ethnic group. Distinction between the main and subordinate rituals, changes in the ceremony according to the times, and the position or rank of those participating in the rite, were factors that directly affected the costumes worn for ritual. Accordingly, in this paper, the costumes worn by members of the Ming dynasty (emperor, prince imperial, prince) were examined in terms of the period and detailed ceremonies with a focus on the morning ritual and costume systems presented in the official historical records. Through this study, only Mian-fu (冕服) and Pi-bian-fu (皮弁服) were defined by the costume system ase costumes worn in the morning ritual. However, through comparative analysis with the morning ritual system, it was confirmed that Tongtian-guan-fu (通天冠服), Yishan-guan-fu (翼善冠服), and Bianfu (便服: slightly casual wear) were also worn. It is worth noting that the color of Gunlong-pao (袞龍袍) was differentiated according to status; the Emperor wore yellow, the Prince Imperial and lower levels wore red, which was the traditional perception of academia. However, following confirmation of the custom costume for the morning ritual, it was confirmed that the color of this differentiation appeared during the 3rd year of Emperor Yongle of Ming (1305). Previously five traditional colors (blue, red, yellow, white, and black) were used for the season.
