It would be investigated how to take advantage of and structure color as form creation of modern architecture and tool of conception. Through this study, it was analyzed that color was introduced actively in the beginning stage of form creation as an image, as collection of data and analysis system, and as creation system of diagram. Also, it was used from the model making stage with experimental device, and was handling to experimental system of various materials and substances. Therefore, with the characteristics of color's originality, color was dealt to space creation system by tool from the process-oriented thought and had given the absolute value in form creation process. Meaning is that the color to be used as a tool in the planning contains a lot of possibilities and values in the architecture planning. Therefore the development of the system without initial planning of overall color scheme could affect the harmony and integration of the developed architecture. And the system could loose many vital concepts in the creation of the form. In execution of thinking process through the color, it'll be ensured that we can acquire the much better and more various result.
The purpose of this study was to analyze the characteristics and images of costume colors in Korean Masque Drama. For this study, 242 color samples were selected by extracting digital color data by using the Eyedropper Tool of Photoshop 7.0. The RGB color data were transformed to HV/C and the attributes of color and tone were analyzed. Color images were analyzed with the IRI color image scale. As a result, neutral, red, purple blue, and yellow were found to be the most frequently used colors in the Korean Masque costumes. In the ton analysis, white tone showed high frequency and next orders were dp, s, v, b, sf. In the hue & tone, the most frequent color was white, followed by R(v), PB(dp), R(dp), YR(s), GY(s) and mGY. Color images were focused on dynamic, gorgeous, and natural images.
This study aimed to analyze the color differences by warp direction of textile mosaics by focusing on two representative textile wallcovering types, woven and string. Mosaics made of string can be expressed as having three-dimensionality based on color differences resulting from the warp direction of the string. String wallcoverings, unlike woven or non-woven wallcoverings, only have vertically oriented warp lamination on the backing paper without weft, and therefore, the reflection and backing color can be expressed differently depending on the angle of the mosaic. In this study, two identical wallcoverings were manufactured using the same materials but using different textile types, woven and string. The wallcoverings underwent die-cutting by each angle and were deployed in cube form. The analysis was based on ISO 5631-1:2015. The color difference between the two wallcoverings, woven and string, was shown as ΔE* 9.29. Based on the standard deviation of the color difference for each mosaic angle, woven ranged from ΔE* 0.09 to 0.94 and string ranged from ΔE* 1.92 to 3.74, showing a larger color difference. Thus, using the color differences of string to create a mosaic wallcovering improved dimensionality.
This study develops textile pattern design ideas created through the visualization of music. Methods of auditory and synesthesia were employed to analyze various attributes of popular music genres and appoint language image, shape image, and color image to obtain their interrelationships. This study provides data that can be used to express emotional images on textile print pattern designs. This research used different genres of popular music as stimuli. The language image was extracted and introduced to the overall color scheme; in addition, the color image was verified. The analysis of the color image was executed by applying it with the color set image scale of I.R.I colors. Then, the color image of the target genre of popular music was examined and analyzed through a color tone system. The preference in shape image was realized through visual images based on basic principles of points, lines, and sides composition; subsequently, an analysis of the emotional image of popular music followed. An examination of the emotional images of different popular music genres have led to the discovery that language image, color image, and shape image all share a common emotional image. There was also a realization that similarity and interrelationship exists in language, color, and shape images experienced by listening to popular music.
Objective: Meat quality including muscle color in chickens is an important trait and continuous selective pressures for fast growth and high yield have negatively impacted this trait. This study was conducted to investigate genetic variations responsible for regulating muscle color. Methods: Whole genome re-sequencing analysis using Illumina HiSeq paired end read method was performed with pooled DNA samples isolated from two broiler chicken lines divergently selected for muscle color (high muscle color [HMC] and low muscle color [LMC]) along with their random bred control line (RAN). Sequencing read data was aligned to the chicken reference genome sequence for Red Jungle Fowl (Galgal4) using reference based genome alignment with NGen program of the Lasergene software package. The potential causal single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) showing non-synonymous changes in coding DNA sequence regions were chosen in each line. Bioinformatic analyses to interpret functions of genes retaining SNPs were performed using the ingenuity pathways analysis (IPA). Results: Millions of SNPs were identified and totally 2,884 SNPs (1,307 for HMC and 1,577 for LMC) showing >75% SNP rates could induce non-synonymous mutations in amino acid sequences. Of those, SNPs showing over 10 read depths yielded 15 more reliable SNPs including 1 for HMC and 14 for LMC. The IPA analyses suggested that meat color in chickens appeared to be associated with chromosomal DNA stability, the functions of ubiquitylation (UBC) and quality and quantity of various subtypes of collagens. Conclusion: In this study, various potential genetic markers showing amino acid changes were identified in differential meat color lines, that can be used for further animal selection strategy.
The hair designers are fashion leaders who affect hair color of people. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to give some tips to satisfy customers through surveying hair designers most like color and the criteria of products choice. To have practical result, I use survey method. I took 120 hair designers who work for Park Jun beauty salon for the survey data. Among these data, I used 103 for the final data of analysis. The results are following, male hair designers like natural brown and blue coral color for hair coating. In addition, they like black color for coloring. Female hair designers like much more various color, they like orange color for coating and natural brown for coloring. Hair designers much more satisfied for international brand goods in all criteria except price. All of hair designers have favorite goods for the quality and brand image. Therefore domestic brands need much more effort to improve quality and its brand image.
Several indices have been developed that use bleeding and color changes as indicators of early gingival pathology. In the presence of gingivitis, vascular proliferation and reduction of keratinization owing to increase redness in gingiva. Descriptions of healthy gingiva are numerous, ranging from pale pink and coral pink to deep red and violet. This terms are not objective. Because of perception of color depends on a lot of factors such as light source, object, observer and so on. It is difficult to make an objective expression. Therefore the using of mechanical equipment is recommended to exclude these variables and observer's vias. The purpose of this study was to evaluate gingival color change after scaling & subgingival root planing. The other purpose of this study was to research the correlation of pocket depth, P.B.I. score and gingival color change. After photo-taking and storaging the image of gingival color into a computer, color change was examine with an image analysis program. Results were as follow; 1. Color of healed gingiva after scaling & subgingival root planing was significantly differ from color of inflamed gingiva(p<0.01). 2. Color of healed gingiva after scaling was similar to color of healed gingiva after subgingival root planing(p<0.05). 3. There was statistically significant correlation between color change of red component and pocket depth after scaling & subgingival root planing(p<0.01). 4. There was no correlation between color change of green, blue component and pocket depth after scaling & subgingival root planing(p<0.01). 5. There was statistically significant correlation between between color change of red component and P.B.I. score after scaling & subgingival root planing(p<0.01). 6. There was no correlation between color changes of green, blue component and P.B.I. score after scaling & subgingival root planing(p<0.01). 7. Increase of pocket depth and P.B.I. score were significantly correlated to the amount of color change(p<0.01). 8. P.B.I. score had a higher correlation with color change than pocket depth(p<0.01).

The purpose of this study was to suggest an improvement proposal for colors in urban environment with special regard to the surface color and their situations of apartment buildings in Seoul. For this goal, 167 cases of different color types of apartment buildings were surveyed. And, the survey was performed in the view of color by areas, by localtion, by builder, by paint year, by built year, by appearance of building, and by surface texture to prove the influencing factors on the surface colors. These collected data analyzed and compared with the existing studies to find out the changing trend of colors. The results are as follows : 1) The use of neutral gray($26.4{\%}$) and warm color(YR, Y, GY; 56.4%) were dominant and the usage trend of higher 'value'(87.4%) and lower 'saturation'(73.0%) was obvious. Especially, the use of PB and P was noticeable. 2) In comparing the existing studies, the changing trend in the surface color pattern was found. That is, neutral gray was used dominantly in 1970's, warm color(YR, Y)in the middle of 1980's. In the end of 1980's, warm color were also used dominantly same as before and GY, PB, P were used noticeably with some rising tendency of higher 'value' and lower 'saturation' was obvious. 3) The results of analysis by localtion shows that the different color groups might exist in Seoul city. Neutral gray and YR were dominant in zone I. Warm colors(YR, Y, GY)were prevailed in zone II, III, IV. In zone V, many colors were evenly used. In zone VI, middle values at warm color were dominant. Progressively, these color groups with further study could be considered in the color management in urban environment possibly. 4) Surface color of apartment buildings were different from their builders. 5) Concerned with the painted year, the use of higher 'value' and lower 'saturation' was increased gradually with the change of times. 6) the analysis by the built year revealed that the 'value' of surface colors on the old buildings was lower than that of the new ones. 7) The 'value' of colors on the surface with texture was higher than that of the surface without texture. 8) In the combination of two colors, the use of 'value' with difference at the same 'hue' was found harmonions in many cases, but the 'saturation' in usage was included in the ambiguity (Moon & Spencer's term). The ambiguity in color harmony should be improved in the near future.
Fashion needs to be understood as practicality and creative behavior and various movements of paintings act as inspirations of original design for fashion designers. This study seeks to find sources of fashion designs in the works of Mark Rothko who is in the center of color-field abstract. Color-field of Rothko provides infinite inspirations as colors are identically treated as shapes and lighting and textures are all included on top of it. In this study, the purpose is to create color focused artistic fashion design by exploring the possibility of expression with the colors of Rothko as the main motive. The study method is as follows. First, the concept and significance of color-field abstract are researched through documented data. Works of Rothko is divided into three periods according to their characteristics. The background of the formation of color-field abstract of Rothko is understood by analyzing the trends of the works in each period. Second, twenty representative works from 1949 to 1969 are selected and analyzed in formative components of color, shape and textures in order to more accurately understand shape of colors, brilliance, simplicity that appear in the mature color-field abstract of Rothko. Third, preexisting methods of color-field of paintings developed into motives of clothing are studied focusing on the collections from 1997 to 2006. Examples of applications of color-field images in modern fashion designs are analyzed. Fourth, motives are selected based on general characteristics of color-field abstract of Rothko and the results of the formative analysis. Clothing is produced that expresses the colors of the paintings of Rothko more effectively. As the results of the study, restrained shapes and textures and various forms of color combinations shown in color-field abstract of Rothko provided deep inspirations on material composition and color planning for fashion design focused on colors. Additionally, needle-punching technique using wool for the production technique enabled relief texture expressions of materials by colors and effective applications of soft and warm atmosphere of color-field abstract of Rothko on clothing. Especially, the ideology of color-field abstract of Rothko of shaping of colors could be expressed and the direction of the development of motives could be presented at the same time by specifically applying color combination method using horizontal division of atypical color-field from the formative characteristics of color-field abstract of Rothko.
This study is intended to formulate the issues through the status analysis and image evaluation for each street on the basis of colors for the outdoor advertisements for part of street side in the oldest downtown for its construction year. Analysing the business type of the street side, it displays the identity of the fashion business area and the color status shown on the outdoor advertisement did not consider the harmony on the other business type and building improvements that it displays chaotic street views in overall. Status of color for the outdoor advertisement compared and analyzed for each street-side to be analyzed with high color contrast with the building structure and outdoor advertisements than the Street B side where there are many businesses of fashion sundries and fashion clothes to form more complicated street scenery visually for the Street A side. The color combination principle of building structure and outdoor advertisement was shown to be the factor for the contrasting unity and diversity. In order not to stimulate this visual confusion, the colors of outdoor advertisement has to be applied on the basis of the color guideline based on the color combination principle of outdoor advertisement and building structure to have the aesthetic harmony overall. As a result of analysis using the KJ method, the present image of the old downtown area was shown with the adjective vocabularies of "complicated", "out-dated", "chaotic", "disorganized", "dirty", "suffocating", and "unilateral", and its image to strive for would be in a total of 6 adjective vocabularies of "well-arranged", "young", "dynamic", "sophisticated", "personable" and "neat", and it has presented the basic foundation of color guideline of outdoor advertisement fit for its image.
