케이블 니팅의 표현 유형에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Expression Types of Cable Knitting)

  • Cable knitting, one of the most representative structures of knitwear has been applied to a number of knit items in a variety of expressions every season. The purpose of this study is to analyze the various types of expressions applied with cable knitting techniques to make the necessary data for planning cable knit designs. The types of cable knitting were devide into two categories which are based on the cable knitting pattern and structure. Based on the pattern, firstly, formal type is a reproduction of traditional Aran knit style and is usually applied to a practical and comfortable timeless knit product. Secondly, informal type is irregular applied to patterns and directions to highlight the dynamics of cable patterns. Thirdly, contrasting type emphasizes the cable pattern by contrasting the color of the part of the cable pattern. Fourthly, figurative type is the expression of the conceptual motifs and using the cable knit pattern itself as motif. Based on the structure, firstly, open type is to emphasize patterns and spaces by utilizing open spaces created by the intersection of cabling stitches. Secondly, decorative type is to enhance the ornamental effect of cable knitting by various methods and other subsidiary materials. Thirdly, avant-garde type is applied in various ways with exaggerated volumes or textures using the three-dimensional effects of cable knitting. Through this study, we look forward to the possibility of expressing the unique aesthetic characteristics of each of the various knitting techniques.

현대 베트남 대중 레스토랑에 나타난 전통적 표현특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on Traditional Expression Characteristics of Vietnamese Contemporary Public Restaurants)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate that to see how their traditional characteristics were reflected and expressed in Hanoi vietnamese contemporary public restaurants. For this, We visited Hanoi twice to have onsite research in August 2012 and 2013. According to the results of surveying Vietnamese public restaurants, all of the 12 cases had humane characteristics reflecting Vietnam traditional culture, showing Vietnamese unique traditional characteristics including intangible elements such as natural environment, life culture elements such as food culture, and formative aesthetic elements using indigenous ornaments. Different from luxury restaurants that had trade names on the theme of historical stories related to people or places and expressed various concepts formatively using photographs of Vietnamese politics and history and ornamental elements such as tableware, however, the public restaurants were simple in theme or concept. It is probably because most of the surveyed cases were situated in the old quarter to the north of the Hoan Kiem Lake and in the area to the west of the lake and their target customers were local people, so they reflected the Vietnamese traditional residence style and common people's life rather than designing the restaurants intentionally with specific concepts. As to the spatial expression characteristics of the surveyed cases, casual restaurants in Hanoi expressed only basic structure using basic construction materials and techniques with outdoor spaces in the form of Vietnam traditional tube house, and therefore, the overall atmosphere was contemporary. In indoor spaces as well, the general level was low, using uncharacteristic common design and color and cheap finishing materials and furniture. 83% of all cases showed the pattern of VM-VM-VT, being mainly contemporary by partially adopting Vietnamese unique ornamental elements for their outdoor and indoor spaces and using traditional elements supplementarily.

  • The purpose of this study is to grasp the characteristics of user''''s response to perceived safety and visual preferences for outdoor green spaces by the types of campus layouts. This research was investigated by color slide ratings and questionnaire survey to the students who are majoring in Landscape architecture in three universities locating at Taegu area. Two research sites have similarities in many ways but have differences in campus land form and design type such as ''''Closed'''' and ''''Open'''' types. Major results were summarised as follows ; 1. As a result of the slide test, the high degree of visual preference was shown in the campus that is ''''Closed'''' type. However the degree of perceived safety was lower than that of in Youngnam Univ. campus. 2. According to the result of the comparative analysis between user''''s perceived safety and visual preferences in each campus, the degree of perceived safety at ''''Closed'''' type was lower than that of ''''Open'''' type, but the degree of visual satisfactioni was higher at ''''Closed'''' type. 3. The factors affecting visual preference in campus were shown as density of wood, land form, and diverse type of the spaces. On the other hand, the factors affecting perceived safety were ''''enclosed space by wood'''' at the day time, and ''''the condition of lighting'''' at night. 4. Regarding gender differences in sensation of each space variables, female users showed higher satisfactio on the scenic beauty. 5. Regression analysis showed that general satisfation was determined by the variables such as ''''arrangement'''', familiarity'''', ''''cleanness'''', and ''''closed feeling'''', in Kyungbook Univ. And in Youngnam Univ. , the variables were ''''texture'''', ''''perceived beauty'''', ''''cleanness'''', and ''''complexity'''' respectively. 6. In conclusion, campus users wanted the outdoor spaces that have various land form and somewhat ''''open-closed'''' mixture type, which has a good ''''Edge Effect'''' to satisfy both aspects in safety and visual preferneces.

고령자를 위한 실내환경의 색채적용 평가 -서울ㆍ경기도 지역 10개 양로시설을 중심으로 - (Analysis of Interior Color Status in Facilities for the Elderly - Focused on the 10 Facilities in Seoul and Kyunggi region-)

  • 우리나라는 고령인구의 증가추세 속에서 가족에 대한 가치관의 변모로 양로원과 같은 주거복지시설이 지속적으로 증가하고 있으며, 그간의 증가 속도를 감안한다면 앞으로 전체 사회 복지시설 대비 양로원이 차지하는 비율과 수용인원의 수는 가속화될 것으로 예측된다. 한편, 고령자는 약 60%가 장애인 수준에 가까울 정도로 심신의 기능이 저하되어 있어 이들의 독립적 생활을 지원하는 특별한 환경적 배려가 반드시 필요하다고 하겠다. 본 연구는 환경적 요소 가운에 색채가 고령자의 원활한 인식작용과 커뮤니케이션, 심리적 치료효과에 중요한 인자임을 인식하여 고령자 시설이 이들의 요구조건을 수용하기에 적절한지를 파악하는데 연구목적이 있다. 이를 위해 고령자환경에서 색채가 지니는 중요성 및 효과, 고령자의 시각적 특성 및 색채에 대할 반응을 문헌을 통해 조사하였으며, 서울$.$경기도 지역의 10개 양로시설에 대한 현장방문을 통해 실내환경의 색채현황을 조사하였다. 그리고 대상시설의 주요 공간인 로비/라운지, 복도, 식당, 침실, 계단실/경사로 등 5개 영역에 대한 측색 결과를 문과 스펜서의 색채조화론에 기초하여 색의 3속성별 조화정도와 미도를 정량적으로 평가하였고 색채 경향을 분석하여 적정성 여부를 평가하였다.

색 재현 개선을 위한 CIELAB 색 공간 기반의 향상된 Multi -scale Retinex (Enhanced Integrated Multi-scale Retinex based on CIELAB Color Space for Improving Color Reproduction)

  • 본 논문에서는 디지털 영상의 지역적 계조 재현과 함께 입력 영상의 색상을 유지하는 영상 향상 기법을 제안한다. 기존의 지역적 계조 재현 방법인 통합된 다중 크기의 Retinex는 영상이 가지는 어두운 영역의 가시성 향상을 통한 향상된 계조 재현 결과를 가져왔다. 그러나 IMSR을 포함한 대부분의 지역적 계조 재현 방법은 RGB 색 공간에서 수행되어 인간시각시스템에 의해 인지되는 색상의 왜곡이 발생하게 된다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 색상의 왜곡을 줄이는 계조 재현을 위하여 장치 독립적인 CIELAB 색 공간에서 색상를 유지하고 높은 대비와 자연스러운 영상을 얻기 위한 계조 재현 및 채도 보상 기법을 제안한다. 제안한 방법은 먼저 CIELAB 색 공간에서 $L^*$값에 대해 IMSR 정규화 및 단순한 사상 함수를 수행하여 가시성을 향상 시킨다. 또한, sRGB 색역 경계값을 이용하여 LC 평면에서 밝기 변화에 대한 선형적인 채도 보상을 수행하였다. 그 결과 입력 영상의 계조 재현을 통해 가시성이 향상되었고, 기존의 IMSR과 비교하여 색상의 왜곡이 줄었으며, 주관적인 평가를 수행하여 비교 평가 하였다.

  • 멀티미디어 정보는 다매체, 다특징, 다표현, 대용량성의 특징과 함께 그 양 또한 급속도로 증가하고 있다. 따라서 급격히 늘어난 방대한 정보로부터 필요한 정보를 검색하는 검색 시스템이 요구되고 있으며, 이러한 색인 및 검색 시스템이 실시간으로 처리되는 것이 필요하다. 동영상의 내용 기반 검색을 위하여 가장 일반적으로 사용할 수 있는 정보는 영상정보이다. 영상정보는 주로 비디오를 장면 분할할 때에 사용되며 이를 통하여 구조적인 비디오 브라우징을 할 수 있다. 비디오를 샷으로 구분하는 작업을 비디오 분할(video segmentation)이라고 하며, 비디오 분할을 위해 장면의 전환점인 컷을 검출하는 작업을 컷 검출(cut detection)이라고 한다. 본 연구에서는 MPEG-7 시각 기술자인 HMMD 컬러 모델과 에지 히스토그램 기술자를 사용하여 동영상 분할을 하였다. HMMD 컬러 공간은 다른 공간에 비해 인간의 색 지각에 매우 밀접한 것으로 나타난다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 검색 시스템을 하드웨어로 구현하였다.

Discriminant analysis to detect fire blight infection on pear trees using RGB imagery obtained by a rotary wing drone

  • Fire-blight disease is a kind of contagious disease affecting apples, pears, and some other members of the family Rosaceae. Due to its extremely strong infectivity, once an orchard is confirmed to be infected, all of the orchards located within 100 m must be buried under the ground, and the sites are prohibited to cultivate any fruit trees for 5 years. In South Korea, fire-blight was confirmed for the first time in the Ansung area in 2015, and the infection is still being identified every year. Traditional approaches to detect fire-blight are expensive and require much time, additionally, also the inspectors have the potential to transmit the pathogen, Thus, it is necessary to develop a remote, unmanned monitoring system for fire-blight to prevent the spread of the disease. This study was conducted to detect fire-blight on pear trees using discriminant analysis with color information collected from a rotary-wing drone. The images of the infected trees were obtained at a pear orchard in Cheonan using an RGB camera attached to a rotary-wing drone at an altitude of 4 m, and also using a smart phone RGB camera on the ground. RGB and Lab color spaces and discriminant analysis were used to develop the image processing algorithm. As a result, the proposed method had an accuracy of approximately 75% although the system still requires many flaws to be improved.

색유리 플래스터 기법을 이용한 타일 벽장식 방안 연구 (A Study on the Tile Mural Decoration Design Using Colored Glass Plaster Technique)

  • 현대 생활에서 실내를 구성하는 벽면의 장식은 인테리어 장식에 의해 공간의 심리적인 상승효과로 전환되어 인간의 감성에 큰 영향을 미쳐왔다. 이번 논문에서 주요 관점은 일상생활에 밀접한 관계를 가지고 있는 실내 공간의 벽면에 60% 이상을 차지하고 있는 수입 타일을 일부 대체할 수 있는 새로운 장식 효과의 발견과 제품의 가능성을 연구하려고 한다. 이러한 해결 방법으로 2018년도에 개발된 색유리 플래스터 기법을 이용하여 포인트 타일을 제작하고 시뮬레이션을 이용하여 소비자의 구매 욕구를 충족시켜줄 수 있는 아트월 벽장식의 가능성을 모색한다. 타일에 적용된 문양들은 총 4가지의 패턴으로 귀얄, 방염, 면치기, 상감 문양을 활용하여 수입 타일의 천편일률적인 문양에서 벗어나고 우리의 감성에 맞는 전통적인 중간색의 발색 효과를 연구하였다. 그리고 벽장식의 공간 활용 방안 부분은 시뮬레이션을 통해서 욕실 주방, 거실과 나머지 빈 공간에 색유리 타일을 사용한 아트월과 아크릴 액자도 사용하였다. 이 연구를 바탕으로 새로운 시각의 도자기 포인트 타일이 모색되고 나아가 벽을 이용한 인테리어가 활성화되기를 바란다.

Efficient Forest Fire Detection using Rule-Based Multi-color Space and Correlation Coefficient for Application in Unmanned Aerial Vehicles

  • Forest fires inflict great losses of human lives and serious damages to ecological systems. Hence, numerous fire detection methods have been proposed, one of which is fire detection based on sensors. However, these methods reveal several limitations when applied in large spaces like forests such as high cost, high level of false alarm, limited battery capacity, and other problems. In this research, we propose a novel forest fire detection method based on image processing and correlation coefficient. Firstly, two fire detection conditions are applied in RGB color space to distinguish between fire pixels and the background. Secondly, the image is converted from RGB to YCbCr color space with two fire detection conditions being applied in this color space. Finally, the correlation coefficient is used to distinguish between fires and objects with fire-like colors. Our proposed algorithm is tested and evaluated on eleven fire and non-fire videos collected from the internet and achieves up to 95.87% and 97.89% of F-score and accuracy respectively in performance evaluation.
