We make a new catalog of AGB stars in our Galaxy from the sources listed in the Infrared Astronomical Satellite (IRAS) point source catalog (PSC) compiling the lists of previous works with verifying processes. We verify the class identification of AGB stars into oxygen-rich and carbon-rich stars using the information from recent investigations. For the large sample of AGB stars, we present infrared two-color diagrams from the observations at near infrared bands and IRAS PSC. On the two-color diagrams, we plot the tracks of theoretical radiative transfer model results with increasing dust shell optical depths. Comparing the observations with the theoretical tracks, we discuss the meaning of the infrared two-color diagrams.

The meanings of colors vary with time and space. For the most important events in a person's life, such as wedding or funeral, people use color to symbolize their identities or roles. Traditionally, the colors of dress had indicated the wearer's age, class, or marital status in Korea. However, Korea's exposure to western cultures has affected in many dimensions of its modern history. Especially, influenced by social change, the traditional dress has undergone many modifications in forms, silhouettes, materials, and color. However, women's mourning dress has been maintained as a long lasting tradition and the use of white in mourning dress has been regarded as a norm until recently, while men have worn a regular black suit with a black tie. But, the shift from white to black in mourning dress has been observed in recent mourning practices. To examine this change of color in Korean traditional mourning dress, a historical approach utilizing multiple resources, such as interview, observations of events, documents, and archival records was applied.

Recently, as the multimedia processing application increases rapidly by going on increasing multimedia data, the efficient retrieval method of image information is required in many fields of application and becoming the matter of major concern. Furthermore, in the last few years rapid improvements in hardware technology have made it possible to process, store and retrieve huge amounts of data in a multimedia format. As a result, Content-Based Image Retrieval (CBIR) has been receiving widespread interest during the last decade. This paper propose the content-based retrieval system as a method for performing image retrieval through the effective feature analysis of the object of significant meaning by using YCbCr channel merging on the basis of the characteristics of man's visual system.

This dissertation intended to investigate the black color as a fashion color of the late 20th century and the aesthetic consciousness of black fashion. Black usually expressed a negative meaning, and was regarded as a color for a mourning and a sacred dress in western culture. There found several periods of black trend specially after 14th century. Black was considered as a traditional color of men's fashion since Dandyism. By the effect of art d co fashion, the perception toward black changed to a new beauty in 20th century. There continuously found a lot of aspects of black fashion in the late 20th century. In the high fashion, popularity of black, could be seen at five different look and style : The era of line alphabet, pantaloons suit style, folklore style, mannish look and unconstructive design by Japanese, and in street fashion, it showed at four different style and fashion: Beat style, mods and rockers style, punk fashion and fetish fashion. The aesthetic consciousness of black fashion at the late 20th century mentioned above should be summarized as follows. : Minimalism, dandyism, nihilism, asceticism, eroticism. In 1990s, the black appeared under the retro mood, and it should be regarded specially as one fashion trend of inclination of simplicity. Black should be called the representative color of 20th century fashion with the reason of containing the most of aesthetic consciousness in modern fashion.

This study was motivated from the point that TV anchor women wore red clothing the most when they appeared at the broadcasting. For the analysis of clothing color, the main news programs of three local terrestial broadcasting systems were adopted, and the screen sources having been obtained for a year on the anchor women from January 2008 to December were classified by S/S, F/W. As the result, it was found out that the image was classified according to the inherent symbolic meaning of red color, and red color was frequently adopted for the happy-passionate image. It is judged that the reason is red color clothing spotlights passionate, challenging and imposing image which anchor women have. It revealed that while investigating the relationship of coloration between red upper clothing and other clothing, the inner-wear white color of the red jacket, or of the black inner-wear was matched the most, regardless of season. It is judged that this is because the coloration of red and white, and of red and black give not only brilliant but also clear image.

This paper has the meaning to plan new design of patient's cloth focusing on its aesthetic aspect through surveying actual condition of use of patient's cloth and reflecting color or pattern that patient prefers to it. Substantial purpose of this paper is 1) to survey actual condition of patient's cloth on the basis of general hospital of downtown of Busan City, 2) to revise difficulty of patient's cloth and survey and analyze color and pattern that patient prefers and 3) to suggest new patient's cloth design using color and pattern that meets function that is not difficult for patient's activity and cure and stabilizes patient's mind on the basis of the result of analysis. The result of this paper is like follow. 1. Problem of current patient's cloth is that most hospital uses patient's cloth having white background and hospital logo of blue or green color and its length is too long so it requires adjustment of length of sleeves and pants 2. The result from analyzing preferred patient's cloth is that patient prefers patient's cloth classified by man and woman, one that its length of sleeves and pants are adjusted and one that there is no collar in its neckline. Regarding color, male patient prefers mild indigo color(5PB7/7) and mild green color (5G9/2) and female patient prefers bright purple color and bright scarlet color(5YR8/7). Regarding pattern, both of man and woman prefers natural pattern. 3. This paper planned total 6 kinds of patient's cloth (common patient's cloth: 2 kinds, male patient's cloth: 2 kinds and female patient's cloth: 2 kinds) through revising difficulty and using new color and pattern according to result of preference.

Visual narrative or storytelling involve two important aspects of the cognitive perception: the conscious and subconscious. Color is one of the cognitive storytelling elements, its interpretation is captured by the subconscious and it is considered an emotional resource due to its psychological background. On the other hand, the character is also part of cognitive perception and storytelling tool, but this is interpreted consciously, character is considered as a logical resource. Ghibli and Disney have organized their cinematographic techniques in different ways, so it would be unfair to say that one narrative style is better than the other, it depends of perception of beauty which varies according to society. However the present study seeks to determine the differences between Ghibli and Disney narrative style, taking as reference color. Ghibli and Disney are perfect example about color effects as a storytelling agent, It can be classified in two aspects: dynamics of color and color as a narrative sequence. The dynamics of color analyzes how color acts and is perceived into a stage, its meaning and symbolism regardless of the character's actions. The narrative sequence studies how color thermologic evolves in scene's development.

Objective: Eggshell color is an important indicator of egg quality for consumers, especially for brown eggs. Various factors related to laying hens and their environment affect brown eggshell coloration. However, there have been no studies investigating hepatic functions of laying hens with variable intensity of brown eggshell color. Therefore, this study was aimed to identify potential factors affecting brown eggshell coloration in aged laying hens at the hepatic transcriptomic level. Methods: Five hundred 92-wk-old Hy-line Brown laying hens were screened to select laying hens with different intensity of brown eggshell color based on eggshell color fans. Based on eggshell color scores, hens with dark brown eggshells (DBE; eggshell color fan score = 14.8) and hens with light brown eggshells (LBE; eggshell color fan score = 9.7) were finally selected for the liver sampling. We performed RNA-seq analysis using the liver samples through the paired-end sequencing libraries. Differentially expressed genes (DEGs) profiling was carried out to identify their biological meaning by bioinformatics. Results: A total of 290 DEGs were identified with 196 being up-regulated and 94 being down-regulated in DBE groups as compared to LBE groups. The Kyoto encyclopedia of genes and genomes (KEGG) analysis revealed that these DEGs belong to several biological pathways including herpes simplex infection (toll-like receptor 3 [TLR3], cyclin-dependent kinase 1, etc.) and influenza A (TLR3, radical S-adenosyl methionine domain containing 2, myxovirus [influenza virus] resistance 1, etc.). Genes related to stress response (ceremide kinase like) and nutrient metabolism (phosphoenolpyruvate carboxy-kinase 1, methylmalonic aciduria [cobalamin deficiency] cblB type, glycine receptor alpha 2, solute carrier family 7 member 11, etc.) were also identified to be differentially expressed. Conclusion: The current results provide new insights regarding hepatic molecular functions related to different intensity of brown eggshell color in aged laying hens. These insights will contribute to future studies aiming to optimize brown eggshell coloration in aged laying hens.

The existing vessels lighting control system has several problems, which are complexity of construction and high cost of establishment and maintenance. In this paper, We designed low cost and high performance lighting control system at digital vessel environment. We proposed a system which recognize the user's emotions after obtaining the biological informations about user's bio information(pulse sensor, blood pressure sensor, blood sugar sensor etc) through wireless sensors controls the LED Lights. This system classified emotions using backpropagation algorithm. We chose 3,000 data sets to train the backpropagation algorithm. As a result, obtained about 88.7% accuracy. And the classified emotions find the most appropriate point in the method of controlling the waves or frequencies to the red, green, blue LED Lamp comparing with the 20-color-emotion models in the HP's 'The meaning of color' and control the brightness or contrast of the LED Lamp. In this method, the system saved about 20% of the electricity consumed.
