In this paper, we propose a method for correction of perspective distortion on a taken image. An image taken by a camera is caused perspective distortion depending on the direction of the camera when objects are projected onto the image. The proposed method in this paper is to obtain the normal vector of the plane through the depth information using a depth camera and calculate the direction of the camera based on this normal vector. Then the method corrects the perspective distortion to the view taken from the front side by performing a rotation transformation on the image according to the direction of the camera. Through the proposed method, it is possible to increase the processing speed than the conventional method such as correction of perspective distortion based on color information.
This letter proposes a real-time digital image stabilization system for cell phone cameras without the need for frame memory. The system post-processes an image captured with a safe shutter speed using an adaptive denoising filter and a global color correction algorithm. This system can transfer the normal brightness of an image previewed under long exposure to the captured image making it bright and crisp with low noise. It is even possible to take photos in low-light conditions. By not needing frame memory, the approach is feasible for integration into the size-constrained image sensors of cell phone cameras.
This paper presents a design of the real-time preprocessor for CMOS image sensor suitable to the digital camera applications. CMOS image sensor offers some advantages in on-chip integration, system power reduction, and low cost. However, it has a lower-quality image than CCDs. We describe an image enhancement algorithm, which includes color interpolation, color correction, gamma correction, sharpening, and automatic exposure control, to compensate for this disadvantage, and present its efficient hardware architecture to implement on the real-time processor. The presented real-time preprocessor was designed using VHDL, and it contains about 19.2K logic gates. We also implement our system on FPGA chips in order to provide the real-time adjustment and it was successfully tested.
Flux calibration for narrow band photometric data gives us an opportunity to get a line flux of extended targets. We developed flux calibration processes for narrow band photometry using broad band filters as a continuum indicator. We derived parameters for color correction and zero point correction including color terms. Applying our method, we successfully subtracted continuum emissions and calibrated the emission lines from an FU Ori type object, V960 Mon.

In this paper, the full color LED billboard or a general quality improvement methods of quality gamma correction, brightness, and brightness adjustment, etc., regardless of the overall color of images uniformly bright or dark have been taken care of. The video itself, but simply expressed as a uniform brightness of a certain size, how to adjust the brightness of input video signal does not reflect the characteristics of the entire screen with just a lighter or darker line is only feeling was brought. So, unlike conventional video transmission system with new LED display technology in the histogram analysis of image data is input by the input image data by determining the luminance values of the attributes are reflected, as appropriate based on the histogram of the distribution of brightness values By controlling the LED display is expressed in the uniform image can improve the brightness control, histogram distribution of the image as full color billboards driven processing technology is proposed.
Three-dimensional image reconstruction allows us to represent real objects in the virtual space and observe the objects at arbitrary view points. This technique can be used in various application areas such as education, culture, and art. In this paper, we propose an implementation method of the high-quality three-dimensional object using multiple Kinect cameras released from Microsoft. First, We acquire color and depth images from triple Kinect cameras; Kinect cameras are placed in front of the object as a convergence form. Because original depth image includes some areas where have no depth values, we employ joint bilateral filter to refine these areas. In addition to the depth image problem, there is an color mismatch problem in color images of multiview system. In order to solve it, we exploit an color correction method using three-dimensional geometry. Through the experimental results, we found that three-dimensional object which is used the proposed method is more naturally represented than the original three-dimensional object in terms of the color and shape.

The Geostationary Ocean Color Imager (GOCI), the first geostationary ocean color observation instrument launched in 2010 on board the Communication, Ocean, and Meteorological Satellite (COMS), has been generating the operational level 1 data. This study describes a methodology for creating the GOCI true color image and data processing software, namely the GOCI RGB maker. The algorithm uses a generic atmospheric correction and reprojection technique to produce the color composite image. Especially, the program is designed for educational purpose in a way that the region of interest and image size can be determined by the user. By distributing software to public, it would maximize the understanding and utilizing the GOCI data. Moreover, images produced from the geostationary observations are expected to be an excellent tool for monitoring environmental changes.
In this paper, we propose a face detection algorithm using the color and shape information in color still images. The proposed algorithm is only applied to chrominance components(Cb and Cr) in order to reduce the variations of lighting condition in YCbCr color space. Input image is segmented by pixels with skin-tone color and then the segmented mage follows the morphological filtering an geometric correction to eliminate noise and simplify the segmented regions in facial candidate regions. Multiple facial regions in input images can be isolated by connected component labeling. Moreover tilting facial regions can be detected by extraction of second moment-based ellipse features.
We propose a new method of masking cloud-affected pixels in satellite ocean color imageries such as of GLI. Those pixels, mostly found around cloud pixels or in scattered cloud area, have anomalous features in either in chlorophyll-a estimate or in water reflectance. This artifact is most likely caused by residual error of inter-band registration correction. Our method is to check the pixel-wise 'soundness' of the spectral water reflectance Rw retrieved after the atmospheric correction. First, we define two spectral ratio between water reflectance, IRR1 and IRR2, each defined as RW(B1)/RW (B3) RW (B3) and as RW (B2)/RW(B4) respectively, where $B1{\sim}B4$ stand for 4 consecutive visible bands. We show that an almost linear relation holds over log-scaled IRR1 and IRR2 for shipmeasured RW data of SeaBAM in situ data set and for GLI cloud-free Level 2 sub-scenes. The method we propose is to utilize this nature, identifying those pixels that show significant discrepancy from that relationship. We apply this method to ADEOS-II/GLI ocean color data to evaluate the performance over Level-2 data, which includes different water types such as case 1, turbid case 2 and coccolithophore bloom waters.
