얼굴의 색상과 모양정보를 이용한 조명 변화에 강인한 얼굴 추적 시스템 구현 (Development of Face Tracking System Using Skin Color and Facial Shape)

  • 얼굴 인식 시스템과 표정인식 시스템과 같은 고차원 처리를 수행하는 시스템의 전처리 과정으로써 이미지 영역 내에서 얼굴을 추적하는 것은 중요한 과정이다. 본 논문에서는 피부색과 얼굴의 형태 정보를 단서로 하는 CONDENSATION 알고리즘을 사용하여 얼굴의 위치를 추적하였다. 컬러의 가중치와 형태의 가중치를 결합시키는데 어려움이 있으므로 각각을 단서로 사용하는 두 개의 추적기를 가진 시스템을 제안한다. 제안된 시스템은 복잡한 배경, 피부색의 물체가 이미지 내에 존재하는 경우, 다른 얼굴이 이미지 내에 존재하는 경우 모두에 대해서 훌륭한 성능을 보여 주었다.

Multiplexer as selector to select different speed (Normal speed, High speed and Super high speed) to display CAR at different speed to color TV system

  • The article presents a concept of designing a Multiplexer circuit which acts as a "Selector" and that becomes capable to select different speed created at different TTL Gate configurations; Standard TTL(Normal Speed), High Speed TTL(High Speed), Schottky TTL(Super High Speed) and further connect the selected Gate speed to the CAR shape created using C-Programming at Computer Graphics and finally CAR shape display at different speed to the color TV. The Multiplexer supporting efficient and more reliable selection criteria using "Logical based selection criteria" and further the output from multiplexer is provided to CAR shape created using c-programming and finally CAR shape is display to color TV system. Basic purposes and assumptions regarding the design and development of this system as well as a description of its operation have been presented.

  • Content based image retrieval is increasingly gaining popularity among image repository systems as images are a big source of digital communication and information sharing. Identification of image content is done through feature extraction which is the key operation for a successful content based image retrieval system. In this paper content based image retrieval system has been developed by adopting a strategy of combining multiple features of shape, color and relevance feedback. Shape is served as a primary operation to identify images whereas color and relevance feedback have been used as supporting features to make the system more efficient and accurate. Shape features are estimated through second derivative, least square polynomial and shapes coding methods. Color is estimated through max-min mean of neighborhood intensities. A new technique has been introduced for relevance feedback without bothering the user.

  • 영상 검색 시스템이란 영상이 갖는 다양한 특징을 바탕으로 똑같거나 유사한 영상을 검색하여 제공하는 시스템이다. 본 논문에서는 영상의 컬러와 형태를 기반으로 한 상표 영상 검색 시스템을 제시한다. 영상을 영역별로 분할하고 영역별 컬러 분포 히스토그램을 추출하여 컬러 정보로 이용한다. 경계면 추출, 무게 중심 추출, angular 샘플링 등의 전처리 과정과 무게 중심으로부터 경계면 까지 거리의 합, 표준 편차, 장/단축 비율을 계산하여 형태정보로 이용한다. 이렇게 추출된 컬러와 형태 정보를 이용하여 유사성 측정을 통한 검색을 수행한다.

  • We introduce a method of color-coded illumination that is simple and fast. The purpose of this study is the real-time shape measurement of three-dimensional object by using color-coded information. The object is illuminated by a prism color spectrum. A color spectrum of a white-light source is imaged onto the object by illumination from one certain direction. The object is observed by a color CCD camera from a direction of observation, which is different from the direction of illumination. It can be evaluated by the red, blue, green using a inherence colors of hue value are good point.

  • Optical characteristics including the view angle and color temperature uniformity of LED packages with an integrated lens fabricated by compression molding method are investigated according to lens shape, lens materials, and phosphor coating methods. Four types of lens shape are designed and their optical output power dependence on the refractive index of silicone encapsulant are evaluated. Also, spatial color temperature uniformities of packages fabricated with different phosphor coating methods-direct coating on a chip vs. uniformly mixed with silicone encapsulant- are compared at various view angles. As the result, it is found that phosphor coating method is more effective on color temperature uniformity than lens shape. The maximum color temperature difference of a package with direct coating of phosphor on a chip is 1,340K according to the view angle at the color temperature of 5,000K, and that of a package with uniformly mixed phosphor is 250K, which indicates 1,090K improvement of color uniformity for the latter case.

대중음악의 시각화를 통한 텍스타일 프린트 패턴디자인 발상 (Creating the Idea of Textile Print Pattern Design Using the Visual Expression of Popular Music)

  • This study develops textile pattern design ideas created through the visualization of music. Methods of auditory and synesthesia were employed to analyze various attributes of popular music genres and appoint language image, shape image, and color image to obtain their interrelationships. This study provides data that can be used to express emotional images on textile print pattern designs. This research used different genres of popular music as stimuli. The language image was extracted and introduced to the overall color scheme; in addition, the color image was verified. The analysis of the color image was executed by applying it with the color set image scale of I.R.I colors. Then, the color image of the target genre of popular music was examined and analyzed through a color tone system. The preference in shape image was realized through visual images based on basic principles of points, lines, and sides composition; subsequently, an analysis of the emotional image of popular music followed. An examination of the emotional images of different popular music genres have led to the discovery that language image, color image, and shape image all share a common emotional image. There was also a realization that similarity and interrelationship exists in language, color, and shape images experienced by listening to popular music.

애니메이션영화 <코코> 색상이 공간의 모델링 분석 (Analysis on Color Shaping the Space of Animated Film Coco)

  • 중요한 시각적 요소로서 애니메이션영화의 색은 현실을 묘사할 수 있을 뿐만 아니라, 영화 공간을 형성하는 데 중요한 역할을 하는 감정과 의미를 전달할 수 있다. 가장 성공적인 애니메이션영화 중 하나로 <코코>는 영화 공간을 형성하기 위해 대담하고 독특한 색 언어를 사용한다. 민족 색상은 이야기 공간을 만들어 이야기 배경을 멕시코 지역 및 문화 풍습으로 가득 채우며, 색상 대조로 물리적 공간을 만들고 공간 모델링 및 차원 감을 뚜렷이 표현하며, 색상 연상 형식으로 심리적 공간을 만들어 관중들은 영화 정신세계에 인도하게 한다. <코코>의 공간 색상 분석을 통해, 애니메이션영화 공간 모델링은 색상의 특성 및 기능을 충분히 활용하고, 공간의 특성에 따라, 다른 색상 언어를 사용해야 하며 영화 공간의 표현 형식을 확장하고 영화 공간의 의미를 깊게 한다.

효율적인 상표 영상 검색 시스템 (System of Efficient Trademark Image Retrieval)

  • 본 논문에서는 컬러 정보와 형태 정보를 이용한 상표 영상 검색 시스템을 제안하였다. 컬러 정보는 영역을 분할하여 영역별 컬러 분포 히스토그램 특성에 근거한 컬러 정보를 이용하였고, 형태 정보는 경계면 추출, 무게 중심 추출, angular 샘플링 등의 전처리 과정과 무게 중심으로부터 경계면까지 거리의 합, 표준 편차, 장/단축 비율을 계산을 이용하였다. 특히, 무게중심을 이용한 angular 샘플링을 이용하여 특징을 추출하고 처리 시간을 줄일 수 있었다. 사용자는 컬러와 형태 정보에 의한 검색을 수행하고, 또한 가중치를 부여함으로써 두 방법을 혼합하여 사용할 수 있다.

숍 파사드 디자인 구성요소에 대한 선호도 연구 (A Study on the Preference of Design Components of Shop Facade)

  • The aim of this study is to figure out the preference features on design components of shop facade on the basis of the questionnaire survey on short-term memory and sensory memory of human right after an image experiment. As for a preceding research, this study examined the design features of facade into tangible elements and intangible elements, and also classified them into physical, aesthetical, marketing and symbolic components in detail. And, it extracted 5 representative elements in preceding studies including shape, material, pattern, color and sign, which is the standard of a questionnaire survey and preference analysis. The subjects of the experiment were 30 men and women who were over 20 years old majoring interior design. They were exposed to 20 images with 10 seconds respectively through a video, and were asked to respond the questionnaire promptly. The findings of preference analysis of design components of facade including shape, material, pattern, color and sign are as follows. Firstly, shape was the most interesting and attracting component, and designs applied with shape of objects such as 'web', 'drawer', 'wheel' and 'button' obtained high preference. Secondly, as for material, block, steel, exposed concrete board attracted higher preference as memorable materials than other materials. Material was affected by shape, pattern and color. Thirdly, pattern was the most lasting element. Designed pattern had higher preference than simple pattern. Fourthly, as for color, red and green with strong stimulation and attention attained priority having long lasting memory. Fifthly, when visiting a shop, sign out of 5 elements of shape, material, pattern, color and sign drew attention the most. As for the preference of location of sign, 'center top' was the most noticeable. The findings of this study could be utilized for facade design, and also could be used for commercialization considering highly preferred components, and top preference aspects of such elements. advised that to give an impression to customers is important to make a successful design for sales marketing, which, in turn, would lead customers to revisit the shop.
