  • Communication based train control system is applied regularly worldwide. And this system may be used in domestic soon. Communication based train control system does not depend on conventional track circuit. Therefore, position and distance control of train to prevent collision with leading train may become important safety factor. This paper developed collision avoidance algorithm to control trains of several units efficiently for this. In developing a collision avoidance algorithm, it is desirable to avoid the need for additional system. Additional system restricts the development of the algorithm by limiting the effectiveness of the algorithm to only those areas where the additional system can be afforded and has been installed.

  • 소형선박에서 초음파를 공기 중에 발사하여 50m내의 타 선박 및 장애물에 대하여 충동예방경보를 3단계의 발광 및 오디오 신호로 경보 신호를 발생하는 초음파 충돌예방 경보 시스템을 제안하였다. 본 시스템은 소형선박운항자의 제한 시계 내에서 감지 능력의 향상과 작업환경에 인지 능력향상으로 소형선박의 충돌사고예방에 효과가 기대된다.

A Study on Efficient Infrastructure Architecture for Intersection Collision Avoidance Associated with Sensor Networks

  • The intersection collision avoidance service among various telematics application services is regarded as one of the most critical services with regard to safety. In such safety applications, real-time, correct transmission of service is required. In this paper, we study on efficient infrastructure architecture for intersection collision avoidance using a cooperative mechanism between vehicles and wireless infrastructure. In particular, we propose an infrastructure, called CISN (Cooperative Infrastructure associated with Sensor Networks), in which proper numbers of sensor nodes are deployed on each road, surrounding the intersection. In the proposed architecture, overall service performance is influenced by various parameters consisting of the infrastructure, such as the number of deployed sensor nodes, radio range and broadcast interval of base station, and so on. In order to test the feasibility of the CISN model in advance, and to evaluate the correctness and real-time transmission ability, an intersection sensor deployment simulator is developed. Through various simulations on several environments, we identify optimal points of some critical parameters to build the most desirable CISN.

모델 예측 제어를 활용한 충돌 회피 (Collision Avoidance using Model Predictive Control)

  • This paper presents collision avoidance using model predictive control algorithm. A model predictive control algorithm determines lateral tire force and yaw moment and steering angle input and differential braking input is determined from lateral tire force and yaw moment. A constraint for model predictive control is designed for obstacle avoidance. A objective function is designed to minimize lateral tire force and yaw moment input and to follow changed lane after collision avoidance. The performance of proposed algorithm has been investigated via computer simulation conducted to vehicle dynamic software CARSIM and Matlab/Simulink.

퍼스널 모빌리티 사고 유형별 상해 위험성 분석 (The Analysis of Injury Risk for the Type of Accident by Personal Mobility)

  • Personal mobility, which was used exclusively for leisure activities, has recently been used as a means of transportation, and it is expected to increase its role as the next generation transportation. Sales of personal mobility are increasing rapidly, but the problem is that traffic accidents are also increasing. In this study, human body injury caused by various collisions between electric wheel users and road users that occur on bicycle or pedestrian roads mainly used by personal mobility is analyzed through collision analysis and collision risk analysis. In the case of the collision accident for electric wheel, it is analyzed that the road users are more likely to be injured on the pedestrian road than the bicycle road. In addition, the head hit each other or fall and hit the floor caused severe head injury.

좁은 수로에 있어서의 항법에 관한 연구 - 완도구역 연안항로를 중심으로 - (A Study on the Navigational Rules and Regulations for the Narrow Channel)

  • Recently, as the coastal trading is being increased rapidly, risk of collision being increased especially in the coastal route near around the port of Wando. In this paper, with the reference to various literatures and papers on collision avoidance rules, the navigational rules and regulations for the coastal area-especially for the narrow channel-are construed and introduced in brief. Also, 3 collision cases near around the port of Wando and statistical data during 5 years(1996 to 2000) are studied. The results of this study are as follows; 1. It is strongly recommended to separate the route of east-bound and west-bound in this area due to removing the risk of collision between the vessels in reciprocal way. 2. The owner of the fleet should lead that the master should con the vessel by himself when passing this area. 3. For the introduction of the Coastal VTS, it is required to investigate the capability to cooperate with military radar sites which based on all over the coast.

충돌유형별 회전교차로 사고모형 개발 (Development of Accident Models by Collision Type at Roundabout)

  • This study deals with traffic accident of roundabout by collision type. In pursuing the above, this study gives particular attention to developing the appropriate models using Tobit model. The main results are as follows. First, three Tobit models (by collision type) which are statistically significant(their $R^2$ values are 0.858, 0.918 and 0.859) are developed. Second, t-test results show that there are no differences between the predicted and actual values. Finally, such the common variable as traffic volume, and such the specific variables as diameter of central island, the number of circulatory roadway, approach width and average of the number of approach are adopted in this study.

  • The ships always have had the risk of collision. There are also a number of near-miss situations especially in the congested area such as port entrance, restricted waters and crossing point of the ship's route. In those areas, the navigator might have more stress than other areas. If the collision risk of decided area is calculated, it might be possible to analyse the human factors by using this data. It is also helpful for deciding a position of aids to navigation or any other system for the safety navigation. For this purpose, the model of collision risk with AIS data has been explained in this paper. The calculated result from the proposed model has been examined by using the simulation.

충돌사고 감축을 위한 어선의 대응 방안에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Requirement to the Fishing Vessel for Reducing the Collision Accidents)

  • 해양안전심판원에 따르면 선박의 등록 척수는 점차 줄어드는 추세이지만, 전체 해양사고 척수와 충돌사고 척수는 증가 추세를 보이고 있다. 2008년부터 2012년까지 최근 5년간 해양사고 발생 현황을 분석해 보면, 해양사고에서 충돌사고가 37 %로 가장 높게 나타났으며, 이러한 충돌사고에서 어선이 58 %로 가장 많이 발생되었는데, 그 중에서도 20톤 미만의 소형선박의 충돌사고가 26 %로 가장 많은 것으로 확인되었다. 또한, 충돌사고의 절반이 넘는 56 %의 선박이 충돌직전까지 상대선박을 발견하지 못한 것으로 분석되었는데, 이러한 사실은 충돌사고가 대부분 경계소홀로 인하여 발생한 것임을 알 수 있다. 따라서 이러한 충돌사고를 줄이기 위해 어선의 운항특성 및 운항과 관련된 제반 규정을 검토하여 어선의 승선 인원, 교육 및 훈련, 그리고 항해장비 측면에서 개선 및 보완할 수 있는 방안을 제시하였다.

선박 충돌 방지를 위한 분산 확률 탐색 알고리즘의 분석 (Analysis of a Distributed Stochastic Search Algorithm for Ship Collision Avoidance)

  • 다수의 선박이 조우하였을 경우, 충돌 피항을 위해 상대 선박의 의도를 파악하는 것은 매우 중요한 문제이다. 또한 다수의 선박의 의도를 동시에 고려하여 충돌 피항 계획을 세우는 것은 항해사에게 큰 부담이 될 수 있다. 이를 위해 분산 알고리즘이 제안 되었다. 분산 알고리즘은 각각의 선박이 다수의 상대 선박과 정보 교환을 통해 안전한 코스를 탐색할 수 있도록 한다. 본 논문에서는 분산 알고리즘의 하나인 분산 확률 탐색 알고리즘을 선박 충돌 피항에 적용하였다. 분산 확률 탐색 알고리즘에서 선박은 비용 감소가 가장 큰 코스와 기존의 코스를 확률과 제한 조건에 따라 선택한다. 분산 확률 탐색 알고리즘은 확률과 제한 조건에 따라 다섯 가지 종류로 나눠진다. 본 논문에서는 다섯 가지 종류의 분산 확률 탐색 알고리즘을 선박 충돌 피항을 위해 적용하였으며 선박 충돌 피항에 미치는 영향을 분석하였다. 또한 어떠한 분산 확률 탐색 알고리즘이 충돌 피항에 적합한지를 실험하였다. 실험 결과 다섯 가지 버전의 분산 확률 탐색 알고리즘에서 A와 B방식이 효과적으로 선박 충돌 피항을 수행하였다. 본 알고리즘은 분산 시스템 환경에서 선박 충돌 방지를 위해 적용 가능할거라 기대된다.
