A 1.86 kg, 3-year-old, female, Maltese was presented to the Veterinary Medical Teaching Hospital of Seoul National University after being hit by a car. The patient was diagnosed with urinary bladder rupture, diaphragmatic hernia and fracture of ilium, tibia and fibula. Repair surgery was performed after stabilizing treatment. During the surgery, hypoxia was identified and it worsened after positive pressure ventilation (partial pressure of oxygen in arterial blood ($PaO_2$): 52 mmHg, pulse oximetry ($SpO_2$): 87%, arterial hemoglobin oxygen saturation ($SpO_2$): 85.8%). In addition to hypoxia, blood pressure decreased to 30 mmHg. Positive pressure ventilation was discontinued because hypoxia and hypotension were aggravated. After suturing the diaphragm, air was withdrawn to form negative pressure within the thorax. However, negative pressure was not attained despite continuous withdrawal of air. A thoracostomy tube was placed because tension pneumothorax was strongly suspected. The patient recovered through close monitoring with the tube for 3 days. Due to limitation of evaluation of the lung, predicting occurrence of tension pneumothorax is difficult in patient of diaphragmatic hernia. Therefore, it is recommended that indicators of tension pneumothorax should be closely monitored during diagnosis and repair procedures of diaphragmatic hernia.

An 11-year-old, female Miniature Schnauzer dog was presented with recurrent skin ulcer of the second metatarsal region in the right hindlimb following metatarsal resection. Physical examination revealed an ulcerated and bleeding lesion of the second metatarsal region in the right hindlimb. Impression smears of the ulcerative lesion confirmed numerous degenerated neutrophils and mixed bacterial infection. Initially, the dog was treated with antibiotics and povidone-iodine flushing for the control of deep pyoderma. Because the skin lesion had been deteriorated over time despite of topical and systemic treatments, skin biopsy was performed. Histopathologic examination indicated squamous cell carcinoma based on the features of multiple nests of squamous neoplastic cells and mitotic figures. Although amputation of the right hindlimb was performed, the dog was expired five months later because of tumor metastasis to the lung and the popliteal lymph node. This is the first case report describes malignant digital squamous cell carcinoma in Korea.

This research aims to improve the environmental education for elementary student's education program. That let environmental education be connected to other curriculum with a compunction enhancement plan to the internal volume side of environmental education, and grope for activation of compunction environmental education with curriculum necessary paradigm conversion of education for continuance possibility in green education. In case of legal and system, improving of legal and system by establishment of the environmental education act for system repair and source of revenue preparation of environmental education is needed. Based on importance of teaching-education and evaluation, it must be developed various teaching-education ways of environmental education in case of curriculum and an improvement of teaching-education ways and evaluation must be performed. After teaching-education about environmental education has been executed, a teaching-education improvement must be performed by evaluation.

The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of culture teaching and using web sites as a method of culture teaching in college English education. To achieve these purposes, a web-based culture teaching-learning model was developed and applied in English classes. Then, the effects were compared with those of a culture teaching method which were based on the traditional verbal explanation. As the tools for this study, two test sheets were used to measure language proficiency and American cultural knowledge. Focusing on the study results, the conclusions were summed up as follows: First, for enhancing the American cultural knowledge, using the web was found to be more effective than traditional verbal explanations. Second, for English language enhancement through web-based culture teaching, it is necessary to do it for each level of English proficiency or develop web sites which fit well with students' interests or levels.

The purpose of this study was to evaluate the patient education provided by the pharmacist for cancer patients receiving chemotherapy in the hospital. One time patient medication teaching including verbal instruction and written materials were provided by a pharmacist for cancer patients receiving chemotherapy on the first or second day of hospitalization. After providing medication teaching by a pharmacist a written survey was performed in order to measure the patient's satisfaction with the medication teaching and to evaluate the effectiveness of the patient medication teaching. This one-time patient medication teaching by a pharmacist was provided for 44 solid and hematological cancer patients (23 male, 21 female). The results of 27 written surveys completed by the cancer patients revealed that almost all cancer patients $(96.3\%)$ felt that medication teaching is a must in order to understand and accept the chemotherapy by cancer patients. In addition, almost all patients $(92.6\%)$ stated that they were extremely satisfied with the medication teaching provided by the pharmacist. The levels of understandings on the chemotherapy.

Chronic Iymphocytic leukemia is a general disease that evolves over a longer duration and is characterized by more mature and well-differentiated Iymphocytes in blood and bone marrow than those seen in acute leukemia. This report presents a 2-year-old mix neutered male dog with seizure, ascites, and transmissible venereal tumor. Diagnostic works-up concluded chronic Iymphocytic leukemia. Chemotherapy composed of chlorambucil and prednisolone has been applied to the patient until now. Remission of almost manifestations was achieved, and the quality of life improved.

The effectiveness of mathematics classroom teaching is directly affected by the teaching language. Comparing the teaching language of a novice teacher in algebra instruction with an expert teacher from the perspective of pragmatics, it comes to a conclusion that: both teachers attach great importance to the use of the teaching language, with the proportion of the teaching language time more than 50%; the novice teacher uses the affirmative language frequently, twice as often as the expert teacher; the declarative language the novice teacher uses in the exploration is mostly to repeat students' answer, which takes up a short time; the novice teacher uses the teaching language too much in the consolidation, which causes fewer opportunities for students to think. Then we get the following revelations: streamline the teaching language and control the time of the teaching language reasonably; make good use of the affirmative language to provide students hints and necessary time for thinking; avoid simple restatement of the student's answer and use the declarative language ingeniously to improve the feedback quality; use the teaching language appropriately to help students accumulate basic experience in mathematics activities.

The hybrid teaching approach of "MOOC + SPOC + Flipped Classroom" overcomes the constraints of time and space that are typically associated with traditional teaching methods, thus compensating for the shortcomings of traditional approaches. These changes in education are driven by the "Internet+" wave and the growing popularity of online teaching. The "MOOC + SPOC + Flipped Classroom" hybrid teaching mode can successfully compensate for the drawbacks of traditional teaching methods, thereby overcoming their restrictions. By defining relevant concepts, one can distill the key characteristics of the "MOOC + SPOC + Flipped Classroom" hybrid teaching mode. Formative assessment was employed to thoroughly evaluate the effectiveness of this teaching approach. By leveraging the advantages of massive open online course (MOOC), small private online course (SPOC), and flipped classroom, the "MOOC +SPOC + Flipped Classroom" teaching mode incorporates real-time student assessment through peer evaluation, computer-aided evaluation, and teacher evaluation. This mode promotes the simultaneous development of theoretical knowledge and practical skills, helping students to establish strong foundations while fostering their practical abilities. While the traditional teaching method remains fruitful, the convenience of today's network allows the teaching profession to continually evolve. The traditional teaching mode heavily relies on teachers, making it impossible to conduct lessons without them. However, the development of MOOC enables students to seek knowledge online from their preferred teachers, rather than solely relying on their assigned instructors.

A 3-month-old, intact male French bulldog was suspected of deafness. The dog was irresponsive to environmental noises generated out of sight, but normal responses were noted for visual stimuli. No abnormalities were observed on the neurological, otoscopic, radiographic, and blood examinations. To diagnose the apparent deafness, brainstem auditory evoked potential (BAEP) was recorded in the presented dog together with a normal dog. While the BAEP from the control dog showed a normal wave consisting of 5 peaks, absence of all peaks was noted in the suspected deaf dog. Therefore the dog was definitively diagnosed as bilaterally congenital sensorineural deafness.

This study analyzed the websites of domestic college's Teaching and Learning Center of Quality. The title of "Teaching and Learning Center of Quality" was given to 9 colleges selected for 3 years since 2010 by Korean Council for College Education. The websites mostly consist of introduction, teaching support, learning support, e-learning support, service, media support, resources, community, and so on. This study also analyzes the similarities and differences of the websites by the degree of the webpage menu activation. This study suggests the direction of the websites functions which college's Teaching and Learning Center should have.
