대학입시에서의 면접점수 표준화에 관한 연구 (A Study on a Standardized Scoring System for College Interview Entrance Examination)

  • A standardized scoring system for college interview entrance examination means we standardize the score of examination to adjust the degree of difficulty among questions and difference of panel's disposition. A standardized scoring system were newly enforced at college interview entrance examination from 2001. Colleges want to choose the most suitably qualified students, taking full advantage of interview examination. Also they should always prepare for questions, plan the answers and a standardized scoring system so that all candidates get a fair shake. The main purpose of this paper is to provide a standardized scoring system for interview examination. The results of interview examination are ranked from highest to lowest and each candidate have different rank from several panels. So some unit scores from panels are given for each candidate using standard normal distribution. Then we calculate the mean unit score for each candidate and final interview entrance examination scores are given using the mean unit score for each candidate.

일개 대학 치위생학과 지원자의 입시지원 경향분석 (The analysis of college entrance tendency in applicants to dental hygiene department)

  • Objectives : The purpose of the study was to investigate the influencing factors of major and university choice in the changing environments that kick out the insincere universities keeping pace with the national policy. Methods : A self-reported questionnaire was completed by 177 subjects after receiving informed consents. The questionnaire consisted of general characteristics, influencing factors on university and department choice including multiple application. Chi-square test was used for analysis of the difference between early and regular admission. Results : Employment was the most important reason for choice of dental hygiene department that accounted for 96%. The access route for university information was college homepage for entrance information that accounted for 72.3% and 76.3% of applicants were advised by their parents for their choice for university. The information was mainly composed of school life(92.1%) and employment (81.9%). The applicants wanted to meet the students(58.8%) and to come in contact with the university homepage(57.1%). Early and regular applicants differed in reasons for college entrance(p=0.032), information delivery for major(p=0.013) and multiple application for entrance(p<0.01). Conclusions : University homepage and communication with the students will give much information to the applicants. So the university had better choose the homepage and communication for marketing strategy.

아로마 흡입이 고3수험생의 고3증후와 피로에 미치는 효과 (Effects of Aroma Therapy on Exam Syndromes and Fatigue in Grade 12 Students Preparing for College Entrance Exams)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify the effect of aroma therapy on exam syndromes and temporary fatigue of senior high school students who are preparing to take college entrance exams. Method: This study was a pre-experimental research using a one-group pre-post test design and was conducted between April and July 2003 with 35 high school students. A pre-post test was used to measure long-term exam syndromes and temporary fatigue during the first period of school. Paired t-test was used. Aromas were given using an aroma electrical lamp, aroma necklet with basic oils of rosemary and lemon. According to the condition of the students, one or two oils were added: peppermint, pine, eucalyptus and Clary-Sage. Results: After two months (May, June), the result of administering aroma therapy to senior high school students showed in June there was a decrease in principal exam syndromes such as eye fatigue, headache, shoulder pain, neck stiffness, back pain, and common cold, and there was an increase Un study concentration during the two months. However, in May, there were no significant effects. The reason may have been a strong extraneous factor from midterm exams that would affect their college entrance. Conclusion: According to these results, if we use aroma oil carefully, with evidence-based applications, aroma therapy can have a positive effect on senior high school students who are preparing for the college entrance exams.

간호학생의 학업성적과 성격 검사와의 상관연구 (A Study of the Correlation between Academic Achievement and Personality test in a Nursing College)

  • I. Purpose of the study An ultimate objectives of entrance examination for the selection of students by the nursing school is to evaluate their abilities and readiness for the further study as a competent and professional nurse at the college. As a method to measure the above mentioned achievement Inchon Nursing College conducts personality test in addition to the college made entrance examination. The study amid to find out the correlation between personality test and academic achievement including clinic nursing practice through analysing the data and affecting factors for the purpose of improvement and desirable entrance examination system. II. Content and Method of the study Selected experimental groups were 36 students who were admitted to the college in 1973 and 35 senior students who enrolled in the second semester in 1976. Gathered date, personality test achievement academic achievement record in the college and achievement of clinic nursing practice, from the total number of 71 students were analysed for the clarification of their correlation. III. Findings of the study 1. It was revealed that the correlation between the entrance examination achievement and personality test was meaningful. 2. Found no significant correlation between personality test and academic achievement through 3 years. 3. It was revealed the meaningful correl, n between personality test and clinic nursing practice. 4. The most dominant affecting elements for the academic achievement was the 2 nd year academes achievement showing 91.39%. Approximately 8% were affecting for the 1 st year and 2 nd year academic achievement by the entrance examination achievement and personality test. 5. Achievement of clinic nursing practice was greatly affected by the 2 nd year clinic nursing practice with 81.26%. Achievement of the 3 rd year clinic nursing practice and personality test were affecting with approximately 15%.

  • 입시 정보에 대한 정보의 양이 방대하고 콘텐츠 범위가 광범위한 조건은 사용자에게 정보를 찾고, 수집하고, 비교하는 데 있어 어려움을 겪을 수밖에 없는 환경을 야기한다. 이에 본 연구에서는 입시 사이트의 사례로 대학, 입시 정보를 사용자가 어떻게 수집하고 분류하고 비교하는지에 대한 사용성 평가를 통해 사용자들의 어려움과 니즈를 파악하고 동시에 개인화 정보 수집에 대한 필요성을 검증하여 개인화 인포메이션 아키텍처 시스템을 적용한 입시정보 웹사이트 제작 가이드라인을 제시하고자 한다. 즉, 본 연구는 인포메이션 아키텍처에 대하여 사용성 평가를 통해 사용자 중심의 개인화 정보 구조 설계 시스템(PIA:Personailized Information Architecture)설계를 위한 가이드라인을 제시하는 것이 목적이다.

Determination of Scattered Radiation to the Thyroid Gland in Dental Cone Beam Computed Tomography

  • Background: Cone beam computed tomography (CBCT) is a specialized medical equipment and plays a significant role in the diagnosis of oral and maxillofacial diseases and abnormalities; however, it is attributed to risk of exposure of ionizing radiation. The aim of the study was to estimate and determine the amount of scattered radiation dose to the thyroid gland in dental CBCT during maxilla and mandible scan. Materials and Methods: The average scattered radiation dose for i-CAT 17-19 Platinum CBCT (Imaging Sciences International) was measured using a Multi-O-Meter (Unfors Instruments), placed at the patient's neck on the skin surface of the thyroid cartilage, with an exposure parameter of 120 kVp and 37.07 mAs. The surface entrance dose was noted using the Multi-O-Meter, which was placed at the time of the scan at the level of the thyroid gland on the anterior surface of the neck. Results and Discussion: The surface entrance dose to the thyroid from both jaws scans was 191.491±78.486 µGy for 0.25 mm voxel and 26.9 seconds, and 153.670±74.041 µGy from the mandible scan, whereas from the maxilla scan the surface entrance dose was 5.259±10.691 µGy. Conclusion: The surface entrance doses to the thyroid gland from imaging of both the jaws, and also from imaging of the maxilla and mandible alone were within the threshold limit. The surface entrance dose and effective dose in CBCT were dependent on the exposure parameters (kVp and mAs), scan length, and field of view. To further reduce the radiation dose, care should be taken in selecting an appropriate protocol as well as the provision of providing shielding to the thyroid gland.

  • Korea Military Academy has been using College Scholastic Ability Test(CSAT) and High School Grades(HSG) with other measures such as an Essay-type Test(ET), Physical Test(PT) and Personal Interview(PI) as criteria for entrance. The purpose of study is to investigate the properness of the criteria in admission decisions by examining the relationship between the college GPA and criteria, and the prediction of academic performance. The study showed that CSAT and HSG are significantly correlated with the college GPA, and these two criteria are better predictors for academic performance. Regression analysis also provided an important message that HSG is a better predictor than CSAT.

  • This study had a purpose to find the correlation between academic achievement and entrance examination score using FCA and framing a concept of university academic achievement and entrance examination score and then, building concept lattice. The subject for this analysis was admission materials of freshmen in computer engineering department at A university located in Chungcheong area in 2010. Also 56 students in total were subjects for the score analysis of their first semester from 2010 to 2014. The major findings of this study were as follows. We organized and extracted many-valued context, concept lattice, associated rules using FCA. And we analyzed the correlation between University academic achievement and entrance examination score using FCA. The conclusions were as follows. We could get meaningful analyzed results using FCA. University academic achievement had lower relativeness with entrance examination score and female students had higher university academic achievement than male students. The improvement points are summarized below. It is necessary to improve the ratio and application method of the university admission factors and to increase the regular admission for a university. And programs for completing College-preparatory programming for male students in low university academic achievement are necessary.

치기공과 재학생의 진로계획에 관한 실태 조사 - D대학 학생을 중심으로 - (The research on the Career Plan of the Dental Technology Students (Revolve Around D College Students))

  • Purpose: The career education of the college student needs a new awareness. This research provides fundamental data from analyzing necessities of student's career education according to plans of a career education. Methods: Make use of SAS 8.0 of windows and descriptive statistics analysis on investigate Dental Technology 570 students in Daegu. And also it analyzes difference of ispectable t-test and ANOVA. Results: According to a gender, a job experience, where they are come from, there is a meaningful difference of an information and an entrance motive for choosing a major (<.05). The time of choosing the major are different meaningfully (<.001). An awareness about the method of a career achievement is a meaningful difference between men and women(<.05). As getting old, the method of a career achievement is higher and there are meaningful differences according to a grade, job experience and a entrance screening(<.01). In accordance with a gender, a grade, entrance screening, there are meaningful differences of a degree for obtaining the career information activities(<.01). In accordance with an age, when they choose a major, there is a difference(<.001). In accordance with a gender and a age, there are meaningful differences of a career plan(<.001). The age difference is slight. In accordance with a gender and a age, there are meaningful differences how to effort for the career(<.001), and also according to an entrance screening, an entrance motive(<.05). These mean that the first priority for choosing the career and going into the world is a school record. There are meaningful differences of people that the student choose for consulting the career(<.01). According to the job experience there are meaningful differences(<.001). Conclusion: By investigating and analysing the student's career plan, we need to seek how students choose their career reasonably and desirably. And also we need to teach a career education systematically.

인식조사를 기반으로 한 고교-대학 연계 방안 모색 (A Study on High School-College Articulation according to the Results of Awareness Survey)

  • 본 연구는 고등학교 재학기간 중 고교-대학 연계 프로그램 참여에 따른 진로진학의 영향을 실증적으로 분석하고 공교육 정상화를 도모하는 고교-대학 연계 방법을 탐구하는데 목적이 있다. 연구를 위해 K대학교의 재학생 371명 및 고교 교사 62명을 대상으로 설문을 실시하였다. 연구 결과는 전반적인 고교-대학 연계 프로그램 참여율은 '입시설명회', '전공진로탐색' 프로그램 순으로, 남학생보다 여학생의 참여율이 높게 나타났고, 입학전형별 대학진학에 미친 영향을 비교한 결과 '입시상담' 프로그램은 학생부종합전형(입학사정관 전형)에서 높게 나타났다. 교사들은 고교교육 정상화 및 대학진학에 가장 효과적인 고교-대학 연계 방법으로 '전공진로탐색'으로 응답해 전공진로탐색 프로그램의 활성화가 필요함을 알 수 있었다. 이러한 연구 결과는 고교-대학 연계의 다각적인 방법과 개선을 통한 공교육 정상화 촉진 가능성을 보여주는 것이라 하겠다.
