Contemporary Architecture is showing many aspects on the ground of ecological paradigm, while, searching for a new architectural direction to make importance of environment that has been still little accounted of a subject of discussion. And 'sustainability'will become a central concept of a Contemporary architectural topic, continuously. With a demand of the time, ecological inclinations have been started to develop a collective low-rise housing project. It is going to expands several fields, but for reasons of social economic activity for human fundamental being, potentialities of basic problem solution are enough for ecologyㆍenvironment, but distinct direction and measures are still not obvious conditions. This study is for healing restoration in global environment, with architectural approach, through analyzing relation between ecological architectural space and nature, and abstracts various inter-relational aspect's specific character. the purpose of this study is another approach of intimate relation of ecological architecture and nature. Therefore, this study is significant to be on the search for a start to suggest a new point of view to ecological architectural space.
The prospect of security services industries is as followings. First, integrated security system will be increased in the security service sphere of collective housing such as apartments. Second, the needs to security services with high-tech electronic security system and systematic security service against crimes will be increased. Third, the needs to crime prevention and disaster prevention service including information security service by means of internet and information and communication technology will be increased. Fourth, perhaps domestic market of security service will be reshaped in relation with localization trend and entrance of foreign security service companies to our country. With these conclusions I think that the departments of universities related to security services will focus on their social roles.
The gap of the quality of life and living environment between urban and rural area have been widened since the industrialization and urbanization oriented five year economic development plans started in 1963. To mitigate the gaps, Korean government had commenced the cultural(collective) village development projects, as a pilot cases such as Gyeryong and Ucheon projects from 1991. This paper contains first the concepts of cultural village, types of village formation, types of village development, allocation problems of housing sites, procurement of project costs and other problems experienced during constuction of the projects. The main policy guidelines for the successful development of cultural villages are as follows: 1. Cultural village development should be carried out in coincide with the present status of farm household incomes. 2. The countermeasures should be consistant with the general objective of the cultural village development institutionally. 3. Propaganda of the cultural village development in rural area is prerequisite to success the projects. 4. Favourable terms and conditions of credit loans as loan amount of 30 million won with interest rate of 3% per annum and 25 years repayment period including 5 years grace period should be given by the Government. 5. Special benefits in the tax system should be given to rural peoples in the cultural villages. 6. The cultural village development should be classified into two groups as the cultural village development in rurban area and the cultural village development in rural area.
In this study, considering the difficulties for all farms to convert farm styles to animal welfare-based housing, an experiment was performed to observe the changes in the behavior and welfare of sows when the slat floor was changed to a collective breeding ground. Twenty-eight sows used in this study were between the second and fifth parities to minimize the influence of parity. Using a flats floor cover, the flattening rates were treated as 0%, 20%, 30%, 40%, and 50%. Data collection was the behavior of sows visually observed using a camera (e.g., standing, lying, fighting and excessive biting behaviors, and abnormal behaviors) and the animal welfare level measured through field visits. Lying behavior was found to be higher (p < 0.01) as the flattening rate increased, and sows lying on the slatted cover also increased as the flattening rate increased (p < 0.01). Fighting behavior wasincreased when the flattening rate was increased to 20%, and chewing behavior was increased (p < 0.05) as the flattening rate increased. The animal welfare level of sows, 'good feeding', it was found that all treatment groups for body condition score and water were good at 100 (p < 0.05). 'Good housing' was the maximum value (100) in each treatment group. As the percentage of floor increased, the minimum good housing was increased from 78 in 0% flattening rate to 96 in 50% flattening rate. The maximum (100) 'good health' was achieved in the 0% and 20% flattening rates, and it was 98, 98, and 99 in the 30%, 50%, and 40% flattening rate, respectively. 'Appropriate behavior' score was significantly lower than that of other paremeters, but when the flattening ratio was 0% and 20%, the maximum and minimum values were 10. At 40% and 50%, the maximum values were 39 and 49, respectively, and the minimum values were analyzed as 19 for both 40% and 50%. These results will be used as basic data about sow welfare for farmers to successfully transition to group housing and flat floors.
Purpose: International efforts to save Earth's environment against global warming and environmental pollution have been made in many countries. Energy consumption of buildings has been continuously increasing, and it has been over 40% of total energy consumption in the world. Energy consumption of buildings in Korea reaches 24% of total energy consumption. So, Korea government has executed building energy rating systems to control energy consumption of buildings. Method: This study was carried out to evaluate the energy performance of apartment unit plans according to converting balconies into living areas. For the study, six types of input models were made. Two input models(SP1 and SP 2) were the standard units that balcony areas were not converted into living areas, and four ones(EP 1, EP 2, EP 3 and EP 4) were the extended unit plans that balcony areas were turned into living areas. All of them were simulated with ECO2 software to assess building energy efficiency. Result: According to the results, the energy performance of the EP 2 and EP 4 models were 21. 8% higher than SP 1 model and 9.2% higher than SP 2 model.

It has been noted, in case of the apartments in collective form, the drainage noise from cleaning of toilet causes many problems in the basement and adjacent rooms, mainly hampering the pleasant housing environment. The problems are increasingly raised by civil complaints with the public offices. Therefore, if the drainage noise generates when wash out of toilet bowl is grasped how the characteristics change according to the sorts of drainpipe, it is considered that the establishment of an effective sound insulation countermeasure could be possible when a civil petition against the drainage noise of apartment house is submitted hereafter. On such viewpoint, this study measured and analyzed the characteristics of drainage noise per the type of drainage pipe, according to KS A ISO $1996-1{\sim}3$, with the horizontal branch pipe and riser pipes in the drainage noise experiment chamber which has the characteristics of the anechoic room. In the result, the pipe type with excellent noise reduction function. The result of this study is considered to become available as fundamental data, to take actions on reduction of drainage noise of the ceiling piping method.
The residence means a given place. It is repeated that process of overcome, protection, assimilation and adaptation has applied to environmental condition. Architecture is part of environment and various. Thus there are lots of types. We need the place with uniqueness, and it is suitable for biological and humanistic environment. The living space turned to be meaningful place with design, and people start to live with nature together. Therefore design restructures whole environment and makes people to be closed with nature. We have to understand nature of environment to connect one place with the other place, and people start to put down roots certain place. Coping with social needs, we have to develop the architectural alternative which can be applied to natural condition. This study suggest sound high-density urban residential model as it function social mix.
Today, the rapid economic growth and emerging new trends have been changed radically throughout the society and they especially have affected the changes of life-style and the diversity of residents'demands in housing life. This changes of life have brought the shift in family form from traditional type, thus new phase of nuclear family means that it makes on the whole, variable family forms such as single family, non-blood one, a generation one and so on. It therefore is time that we should not only explore current housing plans, but envisage concept of new living space to satisfy latent need of the occupants. But the forms, in spite of the diversity of user's needs and the change of life-style, of many houses as many apartment and tenement houses supplied so far have been clearly limted, and housing policy of the mass-supply causes monotonous space composition, over-occupation and non-changeability. Now, the collective houses have some limits owing to the commoness and assemblage, but they have failed to keep up with the variable and changeable life-style of residents. These problems, to put it concretely, lead to increasing needs for the number of rooms in proportion to family members, for the change of behavior using the space. We therefore need to propose the new living space. As the current plans for designing house are based on the average life-style of people, they can not cope with variable demands of the resident. For that reason, this paper will propose the manual space system as an alternative for it and the goal is to suggest new furniture system which we need to create the flexibility of living space.

This study is about the problems found in the process of the current governments planning rural settlement area development. As a measure to solve them, It proposed the analysis method of village characteristic in terms of standard score and tried to use this method as a basic material in planning more effective rural settlement area development. On the basis of the above analysis, which is an objective basic material to solve the problems revealed in the process of the bottom-up development planning by the residents' demands, It shows the following conclusion about what method should be applied to each part according to a village's characteristics and its development level. 1. Accessibility can be a basic material for setting the local area, analyzing its settlement system, and them such development facilities as village-linking roads, rural road, or various kinds of bridges and determining the investment priority. 2. With the index of the industrial basis, we can see what village has plenty of social, economical resources including advanced industrial facilities and looking into the advance level of the industrial basis, we can get some information about determining the local area development direction such as estashing the plan to build a farm product gathering center, a collective work place, storage facilities, and special housing development. 3. Since the issue about living environment is raising it's head, compared to weakened agricultural competitive power, with the analysis of this living environment, we can get an objective basic material for solving problems caused by the local egoism and the effective investment strategy of the limited resources. Therefore, It is necessary that we should abstain from expert-centered planning and formal public opinion-collecting and on the basis of this analytic result, we should plan development. We need to continue our research about index selecting and differentiation, weight etc. and using these analysis methods, we should make up a systematic development plan by analyzing village characteristics and setting the development direction.
With the recent spread of the concept of Smart Cities which is to solve urban problems with ICT technology, Living Lab, which identifies the demands of citizens who dwell in the city and verifies the acceptability of the services being introduced, has become an important topic. Living Lab is an open innovation platform introduced in consideration of the user's perspective in real life and is a new approach in that service developers use collective intelligence in the process of Co-creation with users. Living Lab is operated on topics which is close to citizens' daily lives such as energy, housing, transportation, and education. In particular, as energy and environmental-focused Living Lab emerges in accordance with the 'Korean New Deal Policy', interest and importance in the field are increasing. The paper derives the characteristics of water resource Living Lab through case analysis of several Living Lab practices. Water resource Living Lab in Daejeon and Chuncheon, which are located in Korea, and water resource Living Lab in Romania and Indonesia are covered in this paper as the reference. The paper finally analyzes the case of Sambang Water Living Lab in Gimhae, which is the city located in southern part of Korea. As a result of case analysis, the urban water resource Living Lab focuses on the raw water of urban water resource and should respond sensitively to the safety of citizens. And for the success of this urban water resource Living Lab, it is essential to ensure that citizens participating in the Living Lab clearly understand the concept of water resources, and citizens' opinions to be implemented as services.
