  • In this paper, we present an information collecting system in medical information management domain. Our proposed system performs a systemized process, consisting of collection, transmission, and management, to develop intelligent medical information system and medical big data processing system. Our information collecting system consists of low-power biomedical sensors, biomedical information collecting devices, and storage systems. Currently, almost biomedical information of patients is collected manually by employees like nurses and medical doctors. Therefore, collected biometric data can be error-pronoun data. Since there is a lack to make big data of medical information, it is difficult to enhance the quality of medical services and researches. Accordingly, through our proposed system, we can overcome the problems like error-pronoun biometric data. In addition, we can extremely extend the area of collectable biometric data. Furthermore, using this system, we are able to make a real-time biomedical analysis system, like a real-time patient diagnosis system, and establish a strategy to against future medical markets changing rapidly.

  • 본 논문에서는 카메라형 OCR (Optical Character Reader) 기술을 이용해 오프라인 중고서점의 효율적 장서관리 시스템을 구축하기 위한 디지털 데이터화 관리시스템 방안을 제안한다. OCR은 광학적으로 인식할 수 있는 문자를 컴퓨터가 읽을 수 있도록 하는 기술이다. 원리적으로 문자 한 개를 수십 개의 모눈으로 분할해 특정한 모눈의 흑백 또는 자획형상 특징에 의해 문자를 판독한다. 이 논문에서는 OCR 기술을 활용함으로써 디지털 데이터화의 효과는 물론 적용 환경의 개선효과를 기대해 볼 수 있는 오프라인 중고서점 시장을 목표로 했다. 오프라인 중고서점에서 보유하고 있는 장서의 디지털 데이터화는 기업형 중고서점과의 경쟁에 있어서도 생존을 위해 필요한 요소이다. 카메라형 OCR 기술을 활용한 장서 디지털 데이터화는 오프라인 중고서점 판매자가 도서재고 검색 및 판매 관리 효율을 높이도록 도와줄 뿐 아니라, 도서판매 유형, 소비자 분석과 수요 예측을 가능하게 한다. 또한 소비자에게 오프라인 중고서점에서 보유하고 있는 희귀 장서와 중고서적들을 검색해 구입할 수 있는 편의를 제공할 것이다. 오프라인 중고서점 판매를 촉진하고 활성화시킨다면 출판의 선순환적 구조를 만드는 데 기여할 것으로 예상된다.

  • Recently several business models concerning e-Business has been introduced. But the different environment for each business requires the business model which is contingent to its specific situation. We, therefore, need to develop the e-Business models considering environment factors such as capital size, technology level, collection ability and amount of information, profit or target customers, etc. There can be several ways to create the value of an e-Business firm. A way among them is to develop limited area by focusing on core parts of the firm. This way leads for the firm to search the investment priority in order to solve the problem, which is to set a proper production and investment level for concentrating on competitively excellent areas of the firm. In this paper, we propose a method to decide the investment priority effectively when making a decision using fuzzy information. The method by our model is to minimize tolerances of given business fuzzy goals.

Cardiovascular Disease Management among Workers in Small-Sized Enterprise Using Community-Based Approach (지역사회 연계 접근법을 통한 소규모 사업장 근로자의 뇌심혈관질환 관리)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to analyze effects of cardiovascular disease prevention in small scale enterprise using community-based approach. Method: The target work site included 4,050 small scale enterprises which were under 50 in non-manufacturing workplace and total 20,986 employees were enrolled. Data collection was conducted from March to December, 2008 by 46 occupational health nurses who were registered in Korean Association of Occupational Health Nurses. Results: The rate of smoking was decreased from 39.9% to 34.6%, and normal BMI group was increased from 61.6% to 64.0%. Evaluation of post-intervention blood pressure(BP) outcomes revealed that significant reductions in systolic BP and diastolic BP(3.25mmHg and 1.89mmHg, respectively) were achieved. In addition, the amount of reduction in total cholesterol level was $180.89{\pm}28.22mg/dL$ at pre-ntervention and $177.71{\pm}24.73mg/dL$ at post-intervention. Conclusion: Cardiovascular prevention program by community-based approach was an effective strategy for quitting smoking and improving BMI, BP, and cholesterol control.

Tolerability and pharmacokinetics of ginsenosides Rb1, Rb2, Rc, Rd, and compound K after single or multiple administration of red ginseng extract in human beings

  • Background: We investigated the tolerability and pharmacokinetic properties of various ginsenosides, including Rb1, Rb2, Rc, Rd, and compound K, after single or multiple administrations of red ginseng extract in human beings. Methods: Red ginseng extract (dried ginseng > 60%) was administered once and repeatedly for 15 days to 15 healthy Korean people. After single and repeated administration of red ginsengextract, blood sample collection, measurement of blood pressure and body temperature, and routine laboratory test were conducted over 48-h test periods. Results: Repeated administration of high-dose red ginseng for 15 days was well tolerated and did not produce significant changes in body temperature or blood pressure. The plasma concentrations of Rb1, Rb2, and Rc were stable and showed similar area under the plasma concentration-time curve (AUC) values after 15 days of repeated administration. Their AUC values after repeated administration of red ginseng extract for 15 days accumulated 4.5- to 6.7-fold compared with single-dose AUC. However, the plasma concentrations of Rd and compound K showed large interindividual variations but correlated well between AUC of Rd and compound K. Compound K did not accumulate after 15 days of repeated administration of red ginseng extract. Conclusion: A good correlation between the AUC values of Rd and compound K might be the result of intestinal biotransformation of Rb1, Rb2, and Rc to Rd and subsequently to compound K, rather than the intestinal permeability of these ginsenosides. A strategy to increase biotransformation or reduce metabolic intersubject variability may increase the plasma concentrations of Rd and compound K.

Application of EFDC and WASP7 in Series for Water Quality Modeling of the Yongdam Lake, Korea

  • This study aims to test the feasibility of combined use of EFDC (Environmental Fluid Dynamics Code) hydrodynamic model and WASP7.3 (Water Quality Analysis Program) model to improve accuracy of water quality predictions of the Yongdam Lake, Korea. The orthogonal curvilinear grid system was used for EFDC model to represent riverine shape of the study area. Relationship between volume, surface and elevation results were checked to verify if the grid system represents morphology of the lake properly. Monthly average boundary water quality conditions were estimated using the monthly monitored water quality data from Korean Ministry of Environment DB system. Monthly tributary flow rates were back-routed using dam discharge data and allocated in proportion to each basin area as direct measurements were not available. The optimum number of grid system was determined to be 372 horizontal cells and 10 vertical layers of the site for 1 year simulation of hydrodynamics and water quality out of iterative trials. Monthly observed BOD, TN, TP and Chl-a concentrations inside the lake were used for calibration of WASP7.3 model. This study shows that EFDC and WASP can be used in series successfully to improve accuracy in water quality modeling. However, it was observed that the amount of data to develop inflow water quality and flow rate boundary conditions and water quality data inside lake for calibration were not enough for accurate modeling. It is suggested that object-oriented data collection systems would be necessary to ensure accuracy of EFDC-WASP model application and thus for efficient lake water quality management strategy development.

Convergence Study on Stress, Stress of Clinical Practice, Coping, and Psychological well-being in Nursing Students. (간호대학생의 스트레스, 임상실습 스트레스, 대처, 심리적 안녕감에 관한 융합 연구)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the stress, clinical practice, coping with the stress, and the degree of psychological well-being of nursing student. A descriptive research study was conducted to confirm successful university life of nursing college students and how to continue their nursing life. The data were collected from questionnaires filled out by 242 nursing students who experienced clinical practice. Data collection was performed from October to November, 2015. The collected data were analyzed by SPSS 21.0 program using ANOVA, t-test, pearson correlation coeffient and multiple regression analysis. As a result of the research, it was found that the psychological well-being increased as the problem faced, the problem was solved directly, and the less stress was applied. Results of the regression analysis showed problem solving coping(${\beta}=.446$), avoidance coping (${\beta}=-.301$), and stress(${\beta}=-.281$), it were explained 51.0%. Therefore, nursing college students should be able to cultivate psychological well-being through a strategy of managing stress to actively ask for solutions to problems through self or social support system.

  • E-commerce is a kind of trade type between buyers and sellers rely on computer networks. Carried out according to certain standards of various business activities. e-commerce is based on modern information technology and network technology, financial electronic collection, management, information technology, business and trade information networks into one, aimed at logistics, capital flow and information flow of harmony and unity of the new trade, trade activities of the entire process, electronic, networking and digital. E-commerce has brought to the traditional ways of trading a huge impact, led to changes in economic structures, is a business revolution in the way and is recognized internationally as the 21st century is an important driver of economic development compared to current traditional companies. In this material, we first consider the current problem, analyze particular characteristics of clothing shopping mall to increase the purchasing power of customer. For these reasons, we describe the process for building the clothing site.

Development of Real-time Bridge Inspection Application connected with Bridge Management System (교량관리시스템과 연계된 실시간 교량 현장조사 프로그램 개발)

  • It is important to the periodic collection and analysis of the maintenance and management information of bridges for a more safe and efficient management of the bridges. To enhance the reliability and ease of acquisition of the bridge inspection information that is the basis for a strategy for safe and economic management using the bridge management system (BMS), this study develops a smart phone application for bridge inspection and ensures the actual applicability of the application. The developed application that is linked with the BMS for life-cycle management of bridges is possible to real-time query, modify and transmit of the maintenance-related information, and the application is able to greatly relieve the time and cost for the bridge inspection through the automatic creation of site inspection reports. The proposed method using the application is directly or indirectly expected to be very high effects of value improvement, such as ease of use, improved accuracy, sustainability of information, and future utilization, compared to conventional inspection method.

  • This study aimed to investigate the competitive advantages of Chinese fashion industry and firms to Korean fashion industry by applying the generalized double-diamond theory. Data collection was done by internet and fax survey. Questionnaires were distributed to the Korean textiles and apparel firms who entered China for production anuor distribution. List of firms were provided by KOFOTI, KOTRA, and Korea Apparel Industry Association. Total 198 questionnaires were distributed, and 77 questionnaires were used for final analysis. The results were follows. Korea's competitiveness scores of double-diamond model were higher in every aspects, such as demand condition, infra/supportive industry, firms's strategy and competition except factor condition. Glottalization score in double diamond model measured by the degree of glottalization which was determined by international diamond factors which make firm's multinational/international activities possible. Chinese fashion industry's globalization score of factor condition was significantly higher than Korea, but for the rest of aspects, Korean fashion industry showed higher scores. Therefore, Korean fashion firms can overcome comparative disadvantage of factor condition by utilizing Chinese fashion industry no matter what type of entry. In addition, considering the growth rate of Chinese fashion industry and its power of influence in the world market, the entry to the global market of the Korean fashion industry can be possible.
