Nowadays, as we can notice on social media, most users choose to use more than one language in their online postings. Thus, social media analytics needs reviewing as code-switching analytics instead of traditional analytics. This paper aims to present evidence comparable to the accuracy of code-switching analytics techniques in analysing the mood state of social media users. We conducted a systematic literature review (SLR) to study the social media analytics that examined the effectiveness of code-switching analytics techniques. One primary question and three sub-questions have been raised for this purpose. The study investigates the computational models used to detect and measures emotional well-being. The study primarily focuses on online postings text, including the extended text analysis, analysing and predicting using past experiences, and classifying the mood upon analysis. We used thirty-two (32) papers for our evidence synthesis and identified four main task classifications that can be used potentially in code-switching analytics. The tasks include determining analytics algorithms, classification techniques, mood classes, and analytics flow. Results showed that CNN-BiLSTM was the machine learning algorithm that affected code-switching analytics accuracy the most with 83.21%. In addition, the analytics accuracy when using the code-mixing emotion corpus could enhance by about 20% compared to when performing with one language. Our meta-analyses showed that code-mixing emotion corpus was effective in improving the mood analytics accuracy level. This SLR result has pointed to two apparent gaps in the research field: i) lack of studies that focus on Malay-English code-mixing analytics and ii) lack of studies investigating various mood classes via the code-mixing approach.

In this paper, a new method of state code assignment for reduction of switching activities of state transition in asynchronous circuits is proposed. The algorithm is based on a on-hot code and modifies it to reduce switching activities. To estimate switching activities as a cost functions we introduce state transition probability (STP). AS a results, the proposed algorithm has an advantage of 60% over with the conventional code assignment in terms of switching and code length of state assignment.
The present study aims to investigate neural activations according to the level of code switching in English proficient bilinguals and to find the relationship between the performance of language switching and proficiency level using ERPs (event-related potentials). First, when comparing high-proficient (HP) with low-proficient (LP) bilingual performance in a native language environment, the activation level of N2 was observed to be higher in the HP group than in the LP group, but only under two conditions: 1) the language switching (between-language) condition known as indexing attention of code switching and 2) the inhibition of current language for L1. Another effect of N400 can be shown in both groups only in the language non-switching (within-language) condition. This effect suggests that both groups completed the semantic acceptability task well in their native language environment without the burden of language switching, irrespective of high or low performance. The latencies of N400 are only about 100ms earlier in the HP group than in the LP group. This difference can be interpreted as facilitation of the given task. These results suggest that HP showed the differential activation in inhibitory system for L1 in switching condition of L1-to-L2 to be contrary to inactivation of inhibitory system for the LP group. Despite the absence of an N400 effect at the given task in both groups, differential latencies between the peaks were attributed to the differences of efficiency in semantic processing.

This paper presents "The 3-User NOR switching channel based on interference decoding with receiver cooperation" in succession to "Jeju Jong Nang channel code I, II". The Jeju Jong Nang code is considered as one of the earliest human binary coded communication (HBCC) in the world with a definite "1" or "0" binary symbolic analysis of switching circuits. In this paper, we introduce a practical example of interference decoding with receiver cooperation based on the three user Jong Nang NOR switching channel. The proposed system models are the three user Jong Nang (TUJN) NOR logic switching on-off, three-user injective deterministic NOR switching channel and Gaussian interference channel (GIC) with receiver cooperation. Therefore, this model is well matched to Shannon binary symmetric and erasure channel capacity. We show the applications of three-user Gaussian interference decoding to obtain deterministic channels which means each receiver cooperation helps to adjacent others in order to increase degree of freedom. Thus, the optimal sum rate of interference mitigation through adjacent receiver cooperation achieves 7 bits.
The notion of metaphor has been increasingly popular in research of mathematics education. In particular, metaphor becomes a useful unit for analysis to provide a profound insight into mathematical reasoning and problem solving. In this context, this paper takes metaphor as an analytic unit to examine the relationship between objectivity and subjectivity in mathematical reasoning. Specifically, the discourse analysis focuses on the code switching between literal language and metaphor in mathematical discourse. It is shown that the linguistic code switching is parallel with the switching between two different kinds of mathematical knowledge, that is, factual knowledge and mathematical imagination, which constitute objectivity and subjectivity in mathematical reasoning. Furthermore, the pattern of the linguistic code switching reveals the dialectical relationship between the two poles of mathematical reasoning. Based on the understanding of the dialectical relationship, this paper provides some educational implications. First, the code-switching highlights diverse aspects of mathematics learning. Learning mathematics is concerned with developing not only technicality but also mathematical creativity. Second, the dialectical relationship between objectivity and subjectivity suggests that teaching and teaming mathematics is socioculturally constructed. Indeed, it is shown that not all metaphors are mathematically appropriated. They should be consistent with the cultural model of a mathematical concept under discussion. In general, this sociocultural perspective on mathematical metaphor highlights the sociocultural organization of teaching and loaming mathematics and provides a theoretical viewpoint to understand epistemological diversities in mathematics classroom.

This paper proposes a sign reversal channel switching method in space-frequency block code for orthogonal frequency division multiplexing system. In case of sending source data on other antenna, it is necessary for the receiver to change combining method according to the channel variation. If one does not know the predefined channel switching sequence, it is not possible to decode the received data precisely. In transmit data symbols' exchanges for a channel switching, data symbols are exchanged according to a format of space-frequency block code. In this paper, we proposes a simple sign reversal method except exchanging data symbols between transmit antennas. It is shown that this method occurs another combining method for a simple encryption in the receiver.
This paper presents a low power boost converter using offset controlled Zero Current Sensor (ZCS) control for thermoelectric energy harvesting.[1] [5] Offset controlled ZCS uses adjustable pre-offset that is controled by 6bit code each connected gate of NMOS for switching. Offset controlled ZCS demonstrates an efficiency that is higher than using analog comparator ZCS and that is smaller area than using delay line ZCS. Experimentally, the offset controlled ZCS system consumes 10 times less power than analog comparator ZCS based system at similar performance.
We have experimentally demonstrated a Direct Optical Switching (DOS) CDMA for future wide-band mobile communication systems at the 40 ㎓ band by using orthogonal (crosscorrelation $\leq$2) unipolar type codes with code length of 16 and chip rate of 2.5 Gcps for radio-over-fiber (RoF) systems. Pulse-amplitude-equalized 40 ㎓ laser pulses were provided by rational-harmonically mode-locking a 10 ㎓ fiber ring laser.
Research on strategic Code-Switching (CS) of second language learners in teaching English in English (TEE) program provides an elaborate framework for analyzing how learners manage to express themselves in spite of their limited knowledge of the target language. This research presupposes that L2 learners' CS presents innovative solutions for communicative strategy, and that CS used as communicative strategy can promote L2 learners' language acquisition. The major questions of current research involve examining the significant patterns of different functions of CS in L2 learners' interaction and investigating L2 learners' CS styles according to the different functions of CS. The implication of CS utility is regarded as a teaching technique in the TEE program. Recorded transcript is analyzed to trace the same pattern and the categorization of CS as well as to recognize the functions of CS and their ratio. Hence, this leads to the conclusion that learners' negotiation between code selection and communication intention occurs in patterns. The learners' CS tends to be predictable, reproductive, and systematic, as one of the language acquisition phases. Therefore, the attention to the CS in the TEE program should be redirected in communication substantiality toward the principles of pragmatics. As an additional advantage of the CS analysis, this research elaborates on a conceptual acceptance of CS as a set of learners' strategies in the TEE program.

Optical repeater is often installed at the isolated area. Spatial separation makes it possible to reduce the inter-code interference when secondary scrambling codes are used for traffic connected through repeater. In this paper, we propose five secondary scrambling code usage scenarios with the aids of optical repeater to maximize the user capacity. In order to evaluate the performance, dynamic system level simulation is performed. We also propose a base station-repeater switching where each active users can change access points by comparing the channel condition from base station and repeater thorough secondary common pilot channel (S-CPICH) signal to noise-interference ratio (SINR). Moreover, primary-secondary scramble code replacing scheme is proposed which replaces secondary scramble code with primary scramble code when a call using primary scramble code is ended and its corresponding OVSF code is available to users using the secondary scramble code
