The purpose of this study was to investigate the transition of clothing behavior and clothing consumption pattern of college students in Choong Nam province. 75 subjects were surveyed in 1995 and 2000. For statistical analysis, $X^2$-test were used by SPSSWIN program. The results of this study were as follows. 1. Number of clothing showed significant difference according to year and the number of coat and formal wear increased in 2000 compared with 1995. 2. Clothing consumption pattern showed significant difference according to year. College students purchased on sale more frequently and preferred more expensive clothes in the year 2000 compared with 1995. 3. Contentment for clothing behavior showed significant difference according to year and the extent of contentment decreased as years go by. 4. Number of clothing showed significant difference according to sex and female students had more clothes than male students, but the difference between male and female decreased as years go by from 1995 to 2000. 5. Clothing consumption pattern showed significant difference according to sex and female students purchased ell sale more frequently than male students, but the difference between male and female decreased as years go by. 6. Contentment for clothing behavior showed significant difference according to sex, but female students described to not adequate the quantity of feminine style wear and the interest in fashion of male students was increased as years go by.
The aim of this research is to establish basic materials for fashion merchandising by observing the street fashion of the juveniles and by analyzing their wearing, coordination and fashion trend. We have taken the photograph of the street fashion of 202 male teenagers and 265 female teenagers in Busan, and analyzed in the category of style, item, color, pattern, materials, hair style, shoes and accessories. We have concluded that the most frequent items were shirts (male), turtle neck (female) and jeans. The main style was casual just as jumper-look, sweater-look, gardigan-look. The typical female fashions that were hip-hop-look, twin neat-look, trench coat-look, were more various than male. For the color coordination, contrast color coordination was more dominant than similarity color coordination. Dominant patterns were solid, and also check and stripe patterns were frequently found in upper garment. The representative materials were soft for upper garment, and hard for trousers. Male teenagers prefer middle-length hair style and female teenagers prefer long hair style. The juveniles in Busan are wearing sports shoes and leather shoes in similar frequency. Their favorite accessories are bag, muffler and hat.
The primary objective of this work is to find the properties of sustained release dissolution pattern depending on solubility of drugs, so venlafaxine HCl and carbamazepine tablets were made by using polymer wich various particle size. Hydroxy propyl methyl cellulose (HPMC) has been utilized in this study as an excipient that is one of the most widely used polymers for an oral sustained release formulation, and drug release pattern was strongly influenced by swelling rate depending on particle size of HPMC. Scanning electron microscope (SEM) was employed to investigate the surface of tablets with various HPMC particle size, and differential scanning calorimeter (DSC) was employed to investigate the crystallization of drugs in tablets. The release model equation was applied to analyze the main mechanism of drug release pattern. The results demonstrate that drug release pattern is controlled by the drug solubility and HPMC particle size.

Since the demonstration that the transgenic plants expressing tobacco mosaic virus(TMV) coat protein(CP) gene showed resistance to TMV infection, there have been numerous attempts to produce virus-resistant plant by introducing of a part of or modified viral genome. This study was conducted to investigate the characterization and variability of disease outbreak of transgenic potato(T-potato) with the CP gene of potato leaf roll virus(PLRV) in an isolated field from 2000 to 2002. In the field inspection, incidence of PLRV on T-potato showed only 3.5%, while non-transgenic potato(N-potato) revealed 13.4%. Infection rate of PLRV was considerably low on T-potato with 4.2% compared to 15.4% of N-potato in ELISA tests. Those of potato virus M, potato virus Y and potato virus X on both potatoes were not statistically different. Infection of potato virus A was not observed on both potatoes. Incidence of potato late blight caused by Phytopkhora infestans on T-potato and N-potato did not differ each other with 52.7%, and 50.8%, respectively, Mating type of the causal fungus isolated from both potatoes was all Al types. Results indicates that the CP gene of PLRV affects specifically to the virus in the transgenic potato.
Eighty-five different cultivars of Brassica rapa, B. juncea, B. nap us, B. carinata, B. oleracea and hexaploid Brassica collected from Bangladesh, Japan, China and Denmark were analyzed by SDS-PAGE for seed and leaf protein variations, using esterase, acid phosphatase and peroxidase isozyme analysis. Ten polymorphic bands were identified from seed protein however no identifiable polymorphic band was found in the leaf protein. Polymorphic markers clearly distinguished the different Brassica species as well as yellow sarson (YS) and brown seeded (BS) cultivars of B. rapa. The $F_1$ cross between YS and brown seeded cultivars showed the existance of all poly-morphic bands of the respective parents. The Bangla-deshi and Japanese cultivars of B. rapa differed in the amount of seed protein. In the case of isozyme analysis, esterase showed the highest number of polymorphic bands (13) followed by acid phosphatase (9) and peroxidase (5). These polymorphic markers were very effec-tive for classification of all the species studied in this experiment. In parentage tests using isozymes, the hybridity of intra-and-interspecific crosses of almost all the seedlings could be identified from their respective cross combinations. Esterase polymorphism showed a clear differentiation between YS and BS types of B. rapa. In addition, two esterase polymorphic markers were iden ified to differentiate some cultivars of B. juncea. Segregation patterns in these two esterase bands showed a simple Mendelian monohybrid ratio of 3:1 in $F_2$, 1:1 in test cross and 1:0 in back cross progenies. No polymorphic band was identified to distinguish different cultivars of the same species by acid phosphatase or peroxidase. Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) was carried out with seed coat color specific marker of B. juncea. The yellow seeded cultivars produced a strong band at 0.5 kb and weak band 1.2 kb. In the addition of these two specific bands, Japanese yellow-seeded cultivars expressed two more weak bands at 1.0 kb and 1.1 kb. Where the brown seeded cultivars generated a single strong band at 1.1 kb. In segregating population, the yellow seed coat color marker segregated at a ratio 15 (brown) : 1 (yellow), indicating the digenic inheritance pattern of the trait.
To examine the seed morphology in Korean Orobanchaceae, seeds of 5 species including 1 variety in five genera and one related taxon, Boschniakia himalaica Hook. f. & Thomson in Hook. f. from the Himalaya (7 taxa in total) were investigated by scanning electron microscopy (SEM). Two different seed types are recognized depending on three characters (e.g, .the seed size, seed coat structure and seed number per fruit). - Type I: size less than 1mm, seed coat structure reticulate and seed number per fruit more than ca. 1,000; Type II: size more than 1 mm, exotesta irregularly crested and seed number per fruit less than 1,000 (Lathraea japonicu Miq.). In Type I, three subtypes of exotesta internal surface pattern can also be classified; (1) Subtype Ia: reticulate - include irregularly striate (Ia') and deeply reticulate (Ia"), (2) Subtype Ib: foveolate, (3) Subtype Ic: smooth. Systematics application of the seed morphological data for the Korean Orobanchaceae is also briefly discussed.

Knowledge of abundance, or population size, is fundamental in wildlife conservation and management. Camera-trapping, in combination with capture-recapture methods, has been extensively applied to estimate abundance and density of individually identifiable animals due to the advantages of being non-invasive, effective to survey wide-ranging, elusive, or nocturnal species, operating in inhospitable environment, and taking low labor. We assessed the possibility of using coat patterns from images to identify an individual leopard cat (Prionailurus bengalensis), a Class II endangered species in South Korea. We analyzed leopard cat images taken from Digital Single-Lense Relfex camera (high resolution, 18Mpxl) and camera traps (low resolution, 3.1Mpxl) using HotSpotter, an image matching algorithm. HotSpotter accurately top-ranked an image of the same individual leopard cat with the reference leopard cat image 100% by matching facial and ventral parts. This confirms that facial and ventral fur patterns of the Amur leopard cat are good matching points to be used reliably to identify an individual. We anticipate that the study results will be useful to researchers interested in studying behavior or population parameter estimates of Amur leopard cats based on capture-recapture models.
The purpose of this study was to present adapting Korean aesthetics to the design of Wedding dress. For this study. Chosun Women's Pyoeui(coat) were considered. Pyoeui had the courtesy and variety. They were Jugeui, Wonsam, Hwalos, Dangeui, and Jangeui. Pyoeui were considered the formative features and the aesthetical values describing Shape, Color, Material, Pattern, and Ornament. The sustained-release beads containing terbutaline sulfate (TBS) were prepared by rotogranulation method. The drug was dusted on the non-pareil seeds in a CF-granulator. The sustained-release beads were obtained by coating the active beads with ethylcellulose or $Eudragits^{(R)}$, using in any case the same granulator employed for active beads preparation. The release characteristics of sustained-release beads were examined in vitro by rotating basket method applied to $Bricanyl^{(R)}$ durules which is a sustained-release TBS matrix tablet. The release of terbutaline from the beads in vitro was first-order, and the release rate was dependent on both the coat weight ratio and membrane hydrophilicity. Both surfaces of the beads before and after dissolution were smooth. The drug release pattern from the beads could be thought the diffusion through the polymer membrane. The release rate and the surface of the beads stored for 3 years at room temperature were the same with those of the initial beads.
