수직 라인 관측시스템을 이용한 제주 동부 해안대수층에서 해수침투 모니터링 평가 (Saltwater Intrusion Monitoring Evaluation through Automatic Vertical Line Method in a Costal Aquifer of the Eastern Part of Jeju Island)

  • Groundwater monitoring is commonly practiced with real-time sensors placed in several depth spots in aquifer. However, this method only provides monitoring data at the point where the sensors are installed. In this study, we developed a vertical line monitoring system (VLMS) that can provide continuous data of groundwater parameters along the vertical depth. The device was installed in a well located on the coast of the eastern part of Jeju island to monitor electrical conductivity, temperature, salinity, pH, dissolved oxygen, and oxidation-reduction potential over approximately 3 months from September 11 to December 3, 2020. The results indicated that the groundwater levels fluctuated with the tidal change of seawater level, and the upper and lower boundaries of the freshwater and saltwater zone in the groundwater were located at below 16 m and 36 m of mean sea level, respectively. There was a large variation in EC values during the high tide and temperature change was the greatest during flow tide. Although further investigation is needed for improvement of the device to obtain more accurate and reliable data, the device has a potential utility to provide fundamental data to understand the seawater intrusion and transport mechanisms in coastal aquifers.

토핑 모델링을 활용한 동해안 관광의 변화 분석 (The Analysis of Changes in East Coast Tourism using Topic Modeling)

  • 4차혁명이 진행되고 있는 초연결사회에선 다양한 IT기기를 통해 데이터량이 증가하고 있고, 이렇게 생산된 데이터를 분석하여 새로운 가치를 창출 할 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 빅카인즈에서 2017년부터 2019년까지 중앙지, 경제지, 지역조합지, 주요방송사 등에서 "(동해안 관광 또는 동해안 여행) 그리고 강원도"라는 키워드로 기사를 총 1,526건을 수집하였다. 수집된 1,526건의 기사를 분석하기 위해 R언어로 구현된 LDA 알고리즘을 이용하여 토픽 모델링을 수행하였다. 2017년부터 2019년까지 각각의 년도별 키워드를 추출하고, 각 년도별로 빈도수가 높은 키워드를 분류하여 비교하였다. Log Likelihood와 Perplexity를 이용하여 최적의 토픽 수를 8로 설정한 후, 깁스 샘플링 방법으로 8가지의 토픽을 추론하였다. 추론된 토픽들은 강릉과 해변, 고성과 금강산, KTX와 동해북부선, 주말바다여행, 속초와 통일전망대, 양양과 서핑, 체험관광, 교통망 인프라이다. 추론된 8개의 토픽의 비중을 이용해 동해안 관광에 대한 기사들의 변화를 분석하였다. 그 결과, 통일전망대와 금강산의 비중은 큰 변화가 없는 것으로 나타났고, KTX와 체험관광의 비중은 증가하였고, 그 외의 토픽들의 비중은 2017년에 비해 2018년에 감소하였다. 2019년에는 KTX와 체험관광의 비중은 감소하였으나, 나머지 토픽들의 비중은 큰 변화가 없는 것으로 나타났다.

후포해빈에서 해안선의 장기변화 및 전연안표사량의 추정 (Long-Term Shoreline Change and Evaluation of Total Longshore Sediment Transport Rate on Hupo Beach)

  • The harbor siltation by longshore sediment transports has become a serious problem on the East Coast of Korea. A reasonable prediction of the longshore sediment rate is important to approach the siltation problem effectively. In the recently developed 1-line model, the empirical constants of the sediment transport formula, which include the absolute quantity of sediment transport rate and the spatial distribution of breaking wave height by wave deformation, are treated as calibration parameters. Since these constants should be determined by the very long-term shoreline data, the longshore sediment rates are much more reasonable values. The method was applied to Hupo Beach, which has experienced heavy siltation. The authors also discuss long-term shoreline change using aerial photos and the observed wave-induced current patterns. According to the result, the SW-direction sediment transport rate was $146,892m^3/year$, and the NE direction was $2,694,450m^3/year$ at Hupo Beach for the last 11 years. The siltation in Hupo Harbor might be affected by the NE-direction sediment transport from Hupo Beach.

Analysis of Coast Topography by RTK GPS and Echo Sounder

  • Measuring the depth of water is very important in ensuring the protection and safety of seaside. There are many difficulties in making the contour bathymetric map, and contour line due to the limitation of continuous measurement of water depth and collimation with the conventional measuring and positioning methods. But the real-time kinematic GPS (RTK GPS) positioning using a carrier phase enables us to decide a precise position without breaking a signal even under the condition of a moving environment. It is also possible to obtain an accurate depth of water in real time with a fathometer through the measuring of time delay between sending and receiving epochs. This research aims at investigation of accuracy potential of RTK GPS in combination with Echo Sounder(E/S) for the coastal mapping. Apart from this purpose, the accuracy of ambiguity resolution with the OTF(On the Fly) method was tested with respect to the initialization time. The result shows that the accuracy is better than 1cm with 5-minute initialization in the distance of 10km baseline. The seaside topography was measured by the RTK GPS only, on the other hand the seafloor topography was surveyed in combination of RTK GPS and E/S. Comparing to the volume of seaside measured by RTK GPS and digital topographical map, the difference of only 2 % was achieved. This indicates that the coastal mapping with RTK GPS is successfully conducted. In addition it is also demonstrated that the 3-dimensional perspective model resulted from the undersea topography measured by RTK GPS and E/S is very close to that from the digital map. Through this study, it was verified that RTK GPS is to be very useful method in the analysis of coastal morphology owing to its capability of getting the precise DTM for the using of harbor reclamation, dredging, and the estimation of soil movement in a river.

프랙탈 차원을 이용항 AL 2024-T3 합금의 피로수명비 해석에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Analysis of Cycle Ratio Using Fractal Dimension in Al 2024-T3)

  • Surface micro-crack grows along intergranular or transgranular region of crystal grains. But if it meets the barrier such as sessile dislocation and precipitates it loses straightness and deflects. Investigators had many difficulties in estimating fatigue life of smooth specimen because of the random distribution growth and coalescence of surface micro-cracks. The path of surface micro-crack has irregularity due to nonhomogeneous microstructure. Euclidian geometry can't quantify the shape of surface micro-crack but fractal geometry can. Therefore in this paper fractal dimension is measured at various stage of cycle ratio and estimated cycle ratio in 2024-T3 aluminium, alloy.

음향산란층의 식별을 위한 에코그램 분석 방법의 비교 (Comparison of Echogram Analysis Methods for Evaluating the Sound-scattering Layer)

  • This study compared the density of fish determined using three different echogram methods: the frequency-difference, time variable, and threshold modification methods. An acoustic survey was conducted off the coast of Jeju Island after sunset. Data at 38 and 120 kHz frequencies were collected using a commercial fishing vessel. As a reference point, the value of ${\Delta}MVBS_{120-38kHz}$ that distinguished fish from zooplankton using the 38 and 120 kHz frequencies was set at < 2 dB. The estimated density of fish along the survey line was 0.1-30.4, 0.1-64.3, and $0.1-51.7m^2/nmi^2$ using the frequency difference, time variable threshold, and threshold modification methods, respectively. The results of this study constitute basic research for estimating fish densities.

디지털 입체 항공사진의 영역기반매칭법에 의한 갯벌 DEM 제작 (DEM Generation of Tidal Flat by the Area Based Matching Method Using Digital Aerial Stereo Images)

  • 본 연구는 항공디지털 스테레오영상으로부터 사진측량기법을 적용하여 한반도 서해안 갯벌중 하나인 제부도 갯벌에 대해 퇴적 침식의 변화를 탐지하는데 기초자료가 될 수 있는 DEM을 제작하였다. 이를 위해, 상호표정에 의한 에피폴라 선을 추출하였으며, 반사도 및 질감 등을 바탕으로 갯벌표면 분류영상을 제작하여, 각 표면 특성별 적합한 매칭사이즈를 선정하고, 이로부터 영역기반매칭을 수행하였다. 결과적으로, 갯벌과 같이 고도의 변화가 미묘한 지역에서는 제안방법으로 제작한 DEM이 고정된 매칭사이즈로 제작한 DEM과 기존 상용 S/W에 의한 DEM 보다 더욱 세밀한 높낮이 변화를 보여주었다.

자연하천에서 Chiu의 유속분포와 최대유속 추정을 이용한 유량산정 (Discharge Computation in Natural Rivers Using Chiu's Velocity Distribution and Estimation of Maximum Velocity)

  • 수자원의 계획 평가 관리 및 수공구조물의 설계를 위해서는 정확하고 신뢰성 높은 유량 자료가 필수적이다. 본 연구에서는 Chiu의 유속분포와 최대유속 추정을 이용하여 하천유량을 계산하는 새로운 방법을 제시하였다. 기존 면적유속법과 비교 검토한 바, 본 연구에서 개발한 방법은 기존 유속면적법과 매우 유사한 하천유량을 보였다. Price-AA를 이용하여 유속을 측정할 경우 측선의 수심에 따라 정해진 지점에서 유속을 측정하여야 하는데, 본 연구에서 제시한 방법을 이용하면 임의의 측선과 측점에서 유속을 측정하여도 정확한 유량계산이 가능하다. 그러나 흐름 단면이 매우 복잡하거나 좌우의 비대칭성이 심한 경우에는 엔트로피 개념의 Chiu의 유속분포가 실제 자연하천의 흐름분포에서 멀어지고 유량산정에 Chiu의 유속분포의 정확도가 떨어지기 때문에 본 연구에서 제시한 방법을 적용하기 어렵다.

동해안 참굴 양식에 관한 연구 (Studies on the Culture of Oyster, Crassostrea gigas (Thunberg) in Eastern Coast of Korean)

  • 동해안에서 고품질의 굴 양식 생산과 어업인의 안정적인 소득 향상을 도모하고저 경남 하동에서 채묘한 굴을 강원도 주문진 연안에 연승수하식으로 이식한 후 1994년 8월부터 1995년 7월까지 어장환경과 수층별 성장시험을 실시하였다. 환경요인 조사결과 수온은 8.33-$25.62^{\circ}C,\;염분\;32.84-34.28\textperthousand,\;영양염류인\;인산염은\;0.09-0.40\mug$-at/l, 용존성 무기질소(DIN)는 0.32-3.12$\mu$g-at/l로 나타났다. 굴의 성장은 상층이 각고 88.7 mm, 중층 84.9 mm, 하층 78.0 mm로 하층에 비해 상층의 성장이 더 빨랐다. 수층별 각고(SH)에 대한 각장(SL)의 상대성장식은 상층 SL=0.5403 SH+8.5486 (r=0.9959), 중층 SL=0.5813 SH+3.7775 (r=0.9869), 하층 SL=0.5159 SH+6.8736 (r=0.9961) 이였다. 육질은 상층 13.24 g, 중층 12.68 g, 하층 10.96 g으로 상층에서 높게 나타났으며, 수층별 전중량(TW)에 대한 육중량(MW)의 상대성장식은 상층 MW=0.1933 TW+0.1051 (r=0.9973), 중층 MW=0.1915 TW+0.1894 (r=0.9984), 하층 MW=0.1650 TW+0.0558 (r=0.9983)으로 나타났다.

Flexural bearing capacity of diaphragm-through joints of concrete-filled square steel tubular columns

  • In order to investigate the flexural bearing capacity of panel zone of diaphragm-through joint between concrete filled square steel tubular column and steel beam, four specimens were tested under static tension loads to study the mechanical properties and bearing capacity of diaphragm-through joints with a failure mode of panel zone. Finite element models of these specimens were developed to simulate the test and compare the predicted failure modes, load-displacement curves and bearing capacities with the experimentally observed. It was found that the tensile load from the steel beam flange is mainly shared by the square steel tube and the diaphragm. The diaphragm plastic zone appears along the cross-section lines enclosed by the square steel tube and the influence of steel beam web on the plastic zone of the steel tube is significant and cannot be neglected. Computational models of yield lines on square steel tube and diaphragm are established based on the distribution pattern of the plastic zone, and an analytical method for the evaluation of the bearing capacity of the joint is proposed. The theoretical results and the experimental data are compared and found in good agreement.
