고주파용 절록재료로서의 Forsterite 자기에 관한 연구(III) (Forsterite 자기의 미구조와 열팽창, 비저항과의 관계) (A Study on the Forsterite Porecelain as a High Frequency Insulator(III) (Microstrucrue, Thermal Expansion and Resistivity of the Forsterite Porcelain))

  • In this studies resistivity thermal expansion and microstructure of the Forsterite Porcelain as a high frequency insulator were investigated. The body containing Zn-glass shows higher resistivity than any other body. The bodies containing K, Ba, Cd-glass respectively consist of fine crystals of mosaic type. The bodies containing Bi, Zn, Zr-glass repectively included more large crystals because of the grain growth and coherence of fine particles In the 4 series Forsterite containing excess MgO 0-6% the thermal coefficients of the bodies increased with the increasing of excess MgO and the bodies have conspicuously high thermal expansion coefficients when 15% excess $BaCO_3$ was added to. The resistivities of additive bodies of $BaCO_3$ 0, 5, 10% in Forsterite containg excess MgO 2% are higher than any other that of composition. Bacause the growing of Forsterite crystals was restrained with the increasing of excess MgO $BaCO_3$ their grain size became fine and their grain boundaries were decomposed and also the glass phase having high refractive inder was increased. The higher the firing temperature increased the more the process of crystal growing was progressed.

  • Fe-9Cr-2W steels were corroded at $600-800^{\circ}C$ for up to 100 hr in ($Na_2SO_4-K_2SO_4-Fe_2O_3$)-($CO_2-0.3%SO_2-6%O_2$) mixed gas. The poor condition samples formed thick oxide scales that consisted primarily of $Fe_2O_3$ as the major oxide and $Fe_3O_4$, FeO as the minor one through preferential oxidation of Fe. Fe-9Cr-2W steels corroded fast, forming thick and non-protective scale. The scale divided into the outer and inner layer, which consisted of the outer Fe-O layer and the inner (Fe,Cr)-O layer containing some (Fe,Cr)-S.

  • [ $Al_2TiO_5$ ]has a high refractive index and good solubility of the chromophore in the $Al_2TiO_5$ lattice, which allows this structure to be a good candidate for the development of new ceramic pigments. However, pure $Al_2TiO_5$ is well known to decompose on firing at $900{\sim}1100^{\circ}C$. However, this process can be inhibited by the incorporation of certain metal cations into its crystalline lattice. In this study, the synthesis of gray ceramic pigment was performed by doping cobalt on the $Al_2TiO_5$ crystal structure. The $Al_2TiO_5$ was synthesized using $Al_2O_3$ and $TiO_2$, and doped with $Co_3O_4$ as a chromophore material. In order to prevent the thermal decomposition during the cooling procedure, MgO was added to samples by 0.05 mole, 0.1 mole, and 0.15 mole as a stabilizer. The samples were fired at $1500^{\circ}C$ for 2 hours and cooled naturally. The crystal structure, solubility limit, and color of the synthesized pigment were analyzed using XRD, Raman spectroscopy, UV, and UV-vis. $Al_2O_3$ was available for the formation of $CoAl_2O_4$, which should also be considered in order to explain the small amount of this phase detected in the sample with the higher $Co^{2+}$ content (${\geq}$ 0.03 mole). It was found that the solubility limit of $Co^{2+}$ in the $Al_2TiO_5$ crystal was 0.02 mole% through an analysis of Raman spectroscopy. Through the addition of a pigment with 0.02 mole% of $Co^{2+}$ to lime-barium glaze, stabilized gray color pigments with 66.54, -2.35, and 4.68 as CIE-$L^*a^*b^*$ were synthesized.

Vortex Tube 형 흡수장치에서 MEA와 혼합흡수용액을 이용한 CO2 제거 효율 고찰 (A Study on the CO2 Removal Efficiency with Aqueous MEA and Blended Solutions in a Vortex Tube Type Absorber)

  • 본 연구는 Vortex tube 형 이산화탄소 흡수장치에서 연소배가스 중 $CO_2$ 흡수 특성을 고찰한 것이다. 연소배가스로는 석탄(유연탄)을 연료로 하는 증기발생량 12 ton/hr 규모의 순환유동층 연소보일러에서 발생한 것을 이용하였으며 이산화탄소농도는 11~13 vol% 내외이다. 흡수 용액은 MEA 20 wt%를 기준으로 AMP, HMDA, 강염기계 KOH를 혼합하였다. 본 연구의 목적은 $CO_2$ 흡수장치를 Scrubbing 방식보다 소형화하고, 흡수용액을 절감하는 것이다. 흡수장치는 연소배가스 유량 $20Nm^3/hr$를 처리할 수 있는 직경 17 mm, 길이 250 mm의 Vortex tube 형을 사용하였다. 연소배가스와 흡수용액의 혼합 분무를 통한 $CO_2$ 제거율을 측정하였다. 실험조건은 흡수용액 농도(20~50 wt%), 흡수용액 유량(1.0, $3.0{\ell}/min$)과 연소배가스 유량($6{\sim}15Nm^3/hr$)을 변화시켰다. 결과적으로, MEA에 HMDA를 혼합한 흡수용액의 $CO_2$ 제거율이 가장 우수(약 43% 제거율)하였으며, Vortex tube 장치에서 고속유동의 기 액 접촉효과 및 기 액 분리 특성을 이용하여 $CO_2$ 흡수가 가능하였다. 그러나 $CO_2$ 흡수 효율 향상을 위한 추가적인 공정개발이 요구된다.

중발열량 가스 대체 시 가스터빈 연소기의 연소 및 NOx 배출 특성 (Combustion and NOx Emission Characteristics of the Gas Turbine Combustor Burning Medium-Btu Gas as Alternative Fuel)

  • IGCC용 가스터빈 연소기의 중발열량 가스 연료 대체성 및 호환성 검토를 위한 전산유체역학적 연구를 수행하였다. 연소기 전산해석 방법은 기존의 상용 CFD코드의 해석체계에 중발열량 가스연료의 화학반응 모델 및 fuel NOx 모델등을 추가적으로 결합하여 구성하였다. 본 해석방법을 이용하여, 천연가스와 IGCC 용 대체가스(석탄가스, 중잔사유 가스) 연소시의 연소기 내부 유동속도, 화학종, 온도 분포들과 화염 형상 및 거동을 비교하였고, 더 나아가 NOx 생성특성과 터빈과의 matching 조건도 분석하였다. 이러한 전산해석결과들을 바탕으로, 본 연구는 중발열량 가스를 대체연료로 사용하는 IGCC용 가스터빈 연소기의 설계 개선 및 재설계 방향을 제시하였다.

PZ/PT 다층막에 의한 PZT 박막의 제작 (Synthesis of PZT thin films made by PZ/PT multi-layered structure)

  • PZ와 PT를 각각 3층씩 그 순서를 달리하고 열처리 과정을 달리하여 4가지 시료를 만들었다. PZ와 PT를 독립적으로 열처리 한 시료들에서는 PZ와 PT가 독립적으로 존재하는 경향이 강한 반면 PZ와 PT를 동시에 열처리 한 시료들은 PZT 복합상이 존재하는 확률이 더 높아졌다. 후자의 경우 PT를 먼저 증착한 쪽이 더 안정적인 PZT 상을 만든다는 결론을 지을 수 있었다.

  • Oxygen ionic conductors of CeScSZ electrolyte in SOFC unit cell are applied to anode and cathode as well as electrolyte to have the triple-phase-boundaries of electrochemical reaction, and it is required to decrease the sintering temperature of anode-supported electrolyte by the nanoscale of CeScSZ electrolyte powder. In this report, nanoscale CeScSZ electrolyte powder was synthesized by chemical synthesis method. The particle size, surface area and morphology of the powder were observed by SEM and BET. Thin film electrolyte of under $10{\mu}m$ was fabricated by tape casting using the synthesized CeScSZ electrolyte powder, and ionic conductivity and gas permeability of electrolyte film were evaluated. Finally the SOFC unit cell was fabricated using the anode-supported electrolyte prepared by a tape casting method and co-sintering, in which the active layer, measuring $20{\mu}m$, was introduced in the anode layer to provide a more efficient reaction. Electrochemical evaluations of the SOFC unit cell, including measurements such as power density and impedance, were performed and analyzed.

디지털 프린팅용 글래스-세라믹 복합 잉크 제조 및 특성 평가 (Formulation and Evaluation of Glass-Ceramic Ink for Digital Ink-jet Printing)

  • Ceramic ink-jet printing has become a widespread technology in ceramic tile and ceramicware industries, due to its capability of manufacturing products on demand with various designs. Generally, thermally stable ceramic inks of digital primary colors(cyan, magenta, yellow, black) are required for ink-jet printing of full color image on ceramic tile. Here, we synthesized an aqueous glass-ceramic ink, which is free of Volatile organic compound(VOC) evolution, and investigated its inkjet printability. $CoAl_2O_4$ inorganic pigment and glass frit were dispersed in aqueous solution, and rheological behavior was optimized. The formulated glass-ceramic ink was suitably jetted as single sphere-shaped droplets without satellite drops. After ink-jet printing and firing processes, the printed glass-ceramic ink pattern on glazed ceramic tile was stably maintained without ink spreading phenomena and showed an improved scratch resistance.

수축율 조절에 의한 적층 칩 LC Filter의 동시 소성에 관한 연구 (A Study on Co-Firing of Multilayer Chip LC Filter by Control of Shrinkage)

  • Among many problems that need to be solved in the process of preparing multilayer chip LC filters, we studied the control of shrinkage in order to prevent the crack, warpage, and/or delamination which occurs at the interface between the inductance (L part) and the capacitance (C part). Shrinkage was controlled by compositions, powder size, calcining temperature and amount of organic binder. Capacitance sheet was prepared by mixing 65 wt% binder with the composition of 96 wt% TiO2 having an average particle size of 0.5 $\mu\textrm{m}$, 3 wt% CuO. After small amount of MnO2 and SiO2 added, it was calcined at 750$^{\circ}C$ for 2 hr. Inductance sheet was prepared by mixing 60 wt% binder with the composition of 49.5% mol% Fe2O3, 20.5 mol% ZnO, 20 mol% NiO and 10 mol% CuO which was calcined at 775$^{\circ}C$ for 2 hr. These sheets was laminated at 250 kg/$\textrm{cm}^2$, and cofired at 900$^{\circ}C$ for 2 hr to give rise to a multilayer chip LC filter without any warpage.

Spin-coating 공정에 의해 제조된 음극 지지형 고체산화물 연료전지 (Anode-supported Solid Oxide Fuel Cells Prepared by Spin-coating)

  • NiO-YSZ anode-supported single cell was prepared by spin-coating YSZ and LSM slurries as electrolyte and cathode, respectively. Dense YSZ electrolyte film was successfully prepared on the porous NiO-YSZ anode substrate by tuning pre-sintering temperature of NiO-YSZ and co-firing temperature. The thickness of YSZ film was controlled by the solid content of slurry and coating cycles. The experimental conditions affecting on the thickness of YSZ film was discussed. Single cells with the active electrode area ${\sim}0.8\;cm^2$ were prepared by spin-coating the cathode layers of LSM-YSZ mixture and LSM consequently as well. The effects of the pre-sintering temperature and thus the microstructure of NiO-YSZ substrate on the current-voltage characteristics of co-fired cell were investigated.
