Effects of intermittent ladder-climbing training on neurobiological markers in mice with type 2 diabetes

  • This study aimed to investigate the effect of ladder-climbing exercise training on neurobiological markers in the hippocampus of mice with type 2 diabetes (T2DM). Twenty-one C57BL/6 male mice were randomly assigned to the non-diabetic control (NDC, n = 7), diabetic control (DC, n = 7), and diabetic training (DT, n = 7) groups. The DT group performed ladder-climbing training (LCT) five times a week for eight weeks. We measured the levels of hippocampal neurobiological markers (catalase [CAT], brain-derived neurotrophic factor [BDNF], nerve growth factor [NGF], amyloid-beta [Aβ], tau, and CC motif chemokine ligand 11 [CCL11]). The BDNF levels were significantly higher in the DT group than in the DC group (p < 0.05). The Aβ and CCL11 levels were significantly higher in the DC group than in the NDC and DT groups (p < 0.05). The tau levels were significantly higher in the DC group than in the NDC group (p < 0.05). However, there was no significant difference in CAT and NGF levels among the groups (p > 0.05). These results suggest that while T2DM could induce neurodegeneration, LCT may be effective in alleviating neurodegeneration caused by T2DM.

  • Mobile Robot climbing stairs needs high power and high efficiency. one of the high power type motor is Transverse Flux Motor (TFM). Moreover, TFM is a high force density per volume. We analyzed a characteristic for the TFM and simulated the parametric research of the TPM by using 3D FEM solutions. It presents to design the basis of the TPM. design parameters are Radius of outer rotor, pole height, pole depth, pole depth, airgap, and Magnetomotive force.

  • Generally, the earth resistance of distribution lines are measured under the condition of the climbing pole. This paper proposed the design technique of a new concept type remotoe automatic measuring system without climbing electric distribution poles. The worker on the earth under pole, can measure by using the CT on the located at the top of COS operating Stick. The system is useful for safety of worker, and saving mans, times for measuring.

Composition and Utilization of Urban Garden Space Using the Planting System Design Process

  • Background and objective: Urbanization caused a reduction in urban green space and a lack of community spaces. An attempt to solve these problems, urban gardens, have become popular and are currently being implemented in various downtown areas. However, urban gardens have some inadequate aspects from a visual or landscape perspective. The goal of this study was to examine the possibility of an aesthetic and productive garden space by introducing cultivation methods through the planting system design process. Methods: The design process using plants was classified and presented to suggest the importance of the landscape and aesthetic value. An urban garden space was designed according to the perspective of 'production scenery' and 'participation aesthetics'. According to the characteristics of the plant, urban gardens were divided into vertical type (corn, millet, sorghum), climbing type (kidney bean, cucumber, bitter gourd), and runner type (melon, watermelon, peanut). After classifying plants according to the shape of the root, the structure supporting climbing was installed and the crops were cultivated in an upright form with a tunnel. Results: In the designed cultivation, each crop cooperates, without invading each other's space. Compared with the conventional cultivation, there was little difference in production, and management was made more convenient since weed outbreaks were effectively suppressed while runner type crops cover over the land's surface. Since the positions of each crop are clearly distinguished, the aesthetic value is improved by offering a sense of rhythm with a balanced design. Conclusion: The results suggest that the cultivation methods through the plant system design process have aesthetic as well as productive value, and the design using plants, an infinite living resource, could lead to an expansion of the design field. Moreover, it would enable a sustainable symbiosis between industry and environment. There is potential for the design industry to make significant progress through collaboration with agriculture, horticulture, and landscape architecture.

Structural Work Duration Estimation and Analysis of Tower-Type Residential Construction Project

  • In order to shorten construction duration in high-rise project, construction company tried to make various system method toward simplifying construction method and shortening construction duration. Though high-rise tower-type residential project are growing, there are few case study. Then, the data for preliminary schedule planning in high-rise tower-type residential project are rare. This purpose of research shows construction method in structural work in high-rise tower-type residential project, suggests schedule planning in structural work through case studies. The structural work in high-rise tower-type residential project was divided 1) completion of form in lower part and 2) the typical floor under penthouse. The statistical analysis were done in two parts, the data from analysis were used in simulation. Finally, researcher confirmed the difference between real construction duration and the figure from simulation. The results shows that the more construction duration is long, the less ACS's cost is low. It means the effectiveness is increasing in ACS, if the floor number is high.

  • 본 논문은 진공을 이용한 흡착방식과 바퀴형 이동방식을 사용하는 벽면 이동로봇의 구성과 이러한 임베디드 환경에 적합하고 기계학습에 기반한 벽면 균열 자동 검출 알고리즘의 성능 비교에 관한 연구이다. 임베디드 시스템 환경에서 객체 학습을 위해 YOLO 등 최근에 시도된 학습 방법들을 적용하여 성능을 비교, 검토하였으며 기존의 에지 검출 알고리즘들과도 성능을 비교하였다. 결국, 본 연구에서는 균열검출을 잘하며 임베디드 환경에도 적합한 최적의 기계학습방법을 선택하고 기존 방법과 성능을 비교하여 우수성을 제시하였다. 또한, 검출된 균열의 영상을 저장하고 위치 정보를 추정하여 균열에 대한 정보를 관리자 기기로 전송하는 지능적인 문제해결 기능을 구축하였다.

덩굴장치의 가지유인시기 및 각도가 생육 및 개발에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Stem Leading Time and Angles on the Flowering in Climbing Rose)

  • 덩굴장미의 배식 및 관리에 있어서 용술에 적합한 사용과 관성가치의 증가를 목적으로 생육형별로 구분하여 가지의 유인시기 및 유인각도가 생장과 개화에 미치는 영향을 실험하였는바 얻은 결과는 다음과 같다. 1. 완전만성형, 반만선형 그리고 관목형에서, 가지를 신장생장중에 수평에 가깝게 유인할수록 상부와 하부에서 아의 크기 차이는 감소하였고 외형은 장관형에 가까워지며, 아의 발육은 충실하게 되었다. 2. 신장생장중에 유인한 가지의 직경은 생육형에 관계없이, 수평으로 유인하였을 때 상부와 하부의 직경차이가 감소하여 굵기가 균일하게 되었다. 3. 가지전체의 맹아율 및 개화율을 증가시키기 위해서는 완전만성형의 경선 유인시기에 관계없이 수평에 가깝게 유인할수록 가지의 하부까지 고르게 이루어진다. 4. 반만성형에서는 가지의 신장생장중 수평으로 유인하여야만 하부까지 맹아.개화시킬 수 있고 신장생장이 완료된 후에는 유인에 의한 효과가 없었다. 이러한 현상에 의해 개화 및 맹아율의 증가는 정아우세의 타파와 함께 아의 유실도에 의해서도 영향을 받는 것으로 사료된다.

  • 원자력시설에서 점검 및 보수작업을 위하여 이동로보트 KAEROT을 개발하였다. 이동로보트의 주행장치는 소차륜들이 부착된 유성차륜의 형태로 구성되어 높은 안정성을 유지하며 계단을 포함한 많은 장애물의 승하강이 가능하도록 설계하였다 본 논문에서는 로보트의 원격조작을 용이하게 하기 위하여 이동로보트의 기구학적 해석을 통하여 역기구학 해를 구하였고, 자동 계단승월 알고리즘을 제안하였다. 제안된 알고리즘은 이동경로를 결정한 후 제안된 기준경로를 추종할 수 있도록 각 차륜의 각속도를 구하는 것이다. 제작 오차가 있는 실험실내 계단에 대하여 시뮬레이션 및 실험을 수행하였다. 제안된 알고리즘은 로보트 몸체의 경사각도를 낮게 유지시킬 수 있었고, 주행중 안정성을 높혀주었다.

가로경관의 친환경성 증진을 위한 가로변건축물의 생태요소 적용에 관한 연구 - 입체녹화를 중심으로 - (A Study on Ecological Application to Buildings on the Streets for the Improvement of Environmental Harmony at Streetscape - Focused on the Three-dimensional Greenery System -)

  • Recently it is urgent issue in every department that problem from environmental disruption such as global warming. As the case of streetscape works essentially at city scenery, it is inevitable that changing from present view, which centers facilities and buildings, to environmental harmonic scenery. This study plans climate adjusting ability and improvement of thermal efficiency by putting ecological elements to buildings on a street which are essential factors of streetscape. Ultimately, this not only makes a pleasant environment but also revives being withered earth. Street-environment on eco-scape will take a part in designing sustainable city. This study acquires the way how buildings on a street get applied ecological elements as following. Roof level part : the greening surface of the rooftop(included plant box type), the greening roof as a type of pergola, the greening surface of the middle floor rooftop(included plant box type). Elevation part : climbing type, downfall type, espalier, flower bed in balcony type, wall-installing type, water wall type, other design types. Ground level part : paving the whole surface with permeability, paving the gap with permeability, plant box type, ground plant type, waterside zone, wetland, fence greening type, terrace greening type, retaining wall greening type.

  • In this study we analyze operation principle of wedge type rail clamp using in the harbor and when wind force applies to container crane, we calculate deformation in each part of rail clamp. As a result of calculation, we will design rail clamp supporter that forbid overload to be applied at rail clamp according to adjust climbing wedge distance of roller. It would be adapted various container capacity and wind velocity.
