  • This study was to evaluate the effect of different rinsing times and methods on the accuracy of temporary prostheses fabricated by 3D printing method. Sixty temporary prostheses were fabricated with LCD types of 3D printer(Halot-Sky, Creality, Shenzhen, China) and divided into six groups (n = 10) based on rinsing times and methods. All specimens were rinsed with 99% isopropanol alcohol for 5 and 10 min using three methods-hand washed, ultrasonic cleaning, and automated washing. All specimens were polymerized for 3 minutes under the same conditions. The marginal and internal gaps of specimens were examined using a replica technique. The light-body silicone thickness was measured at 6 reference points(Absolute marginal discrepancy, Marginal, Chamfer, Axial, Angle, and Occlusal gap). All measurements were performed by a stereomicroscope. Reference point images were taken at 100× magnification and then measured using an image analysis program. Statistical analysis was performed using Two-way ANOVA, One-way ANOVA, and the Kruskal-Wallis test (p = .05). The marginal and internal gaps were statistically different according to the rinsing methods and rinsing times(p < .001). In the rinsing time, the temporary prosthesis rinsed for 5 minutes group showed higher accuracy than 10 minutes group. In the rinsing method, the hand washing group showed higher accuracy than the automated washing group.

  • The research examines the characteristics of the sewing methods used for women's Jeogori in modern Korea. The results are following. In the 1920s sewing of shoulder parts was started, and in the 1930s sewing by hand had reduced by dissemination of sewing-machine, and in the 1940s the Som-jeogori declined by the matter of economic and sanitary issues. In the 1950s four-fold sewing emerged, and during the 1960s the gause-lined triple-layered Jeogori was in fashion, and in the 1970s the Ggaeggi-jeogori and much elaborated Jeogori became in vogue. The characteristics of the sewing methods are changed by following factors. First, the dissemination of sewing-machine in the 1930's enabled fast and precise sewing of Jeogori which reduced the rate of clothes mending and the production period. Second, by development of washing method, the dry cleaning became common, resulting cleaner washing and better preservation. Third, introduction of western clothes gave rise to modernized Han-bok which was changed into practical and simple one. Fourth, by the introduction of synthetic textile and industry development, Jeogori with no armhole line or right Seop line was made using wide selection of textiles. Fifth, in 1945~60s, women learned' good wife and wise mother' education and the use of sewing machine in school. The clothing lifestyle affected the sewing method's change, for example, clothes sewed strongly by sewing machine not to take clothes apart, and attaching button instead of Go-reum to save clothes.

  • Background: Cancer has important social consequences with cancer registration as the basis of moving towards prevention. The present study aimed to estimate the completeness of registration of the ten most common cancers in patients referred to selected hospitals in Shiraz, Iran by using capture-recapture method. Materials and Methods: This cross-sectional analytical study was performed in 2014 based on the data of 2009, on a total of 4,388 registered cancer patients. After cleaning data from two sources, using capture-recapture common findings were identified. Then, the percentage of the completeness of cancer registration was estimated using Chapman and Chao methods. Finally, the effects of demographic and treatment variables on the completeness of cancer registration were investigated. Results: The results showed that the percentages of completeness of cancer registration in the selected hospitals of Shiraz were 58.6% and 58.4%, and influenced by different variables. The age group between 40-49 years old was the highest represented and for the age group under 20 years old was the lowest for cancer registration. Breast cancer had the highest registration level and after that, thyroid and lung cancers, while colorectal cancer had the lowest registration level. Conclusions: According to the results, the number of cancers registered was very few and it seems that factors like inadequate knowledge of some doctors, imprecise diagnosis about the types of cancer, incorrectly filled out medical documents, and lack of sufficient accuracy in recording data on the computer cause errors and defects in cancer registration. This suggests a necessity to educate and teach doctors and other medical workers about the methods of documenting information related to cancer and also conduct additional measures to improve the cancer registration system.

  • The purpose of this research is to analyze the methods of the decorations using module plants in interior spaces. This research produced 18 types of the module plant decoration: considering the classifications of module plants(soil, hydroculture, moss), directions of module plants (up, side, down), assembling ways of module plants (horizontal, vertical). Applying these 18 types to the interior space decoration (floor stand, wall attach, ceiling hanging), 54 types were classified. After that, 150 cases of the decoration using module plants in interior spaces were collected and analyzed. In result, the cases were belong to 25 types of 54 types. The important types were the types to be able to decorate wide area of walls or ceilings without occupying floor area: SOIL-UP-VERTICAL, HYDROCULTURE-UP-VERTICAL, MOSS-SIDE-VERTICAL. These types were the decorations with function of bio-filter for air cleaning. Special types were SOIL-SIDE-HORIZONTAL, SOIL-SIDE-VERTICAL with soil developed not to pour and SOIL-DOWN-HORIZONTAL, SOIL-DOWN-VERTICAL with lucks not to pour soil. Plants will be used widely in interior design because of the awareness of eco-friendly design. The strength that module plants are portable, changable, able to exchange parts helps users to maintain plants in interior spaces. For designers, module plants are flexible materials in order to make variety of forms to adjust to interior spaces. The results of this research about methods of the decorations using module plants in interior spaces are useful to designers who want to design interior spaces eco-friendly and user-friendly.

  • Data anomalies seriously threaten the reliability of the bridge structural health monitoring system and may trigger system misjudgment. To overcome the above problem, an efficient and accurate data anomaly detection method is desiderated. Traditional anomaly detection methods extract various abnormal features as the key indicators to identify data anomalies. Then set thresholds artificially for various features to identify specific anomalies, which is the artificial experience method. However, limited by the poor generalization ability among sensors, this method often leads to high labor costs. Another approach to anomaly detection is a data-driven approach based on machine learning methods. Among these, the bidirectional long-short memory neural network (BiLSTM), as an effective classification method, excels at finding complex relationships in multivariate time series data. However, training unprocessed original signals often leads to low computation efficiency and poor convergence, for lacking appropriate feature selection. Therefore, this article combines the advantages of the two methods by proposing a deep learning method with manual experience statistical features fed into it. Experimental comparative studies illustrate that the BiLSTM model with appropriate feature input has an accuracy rate of over 87-94%. Meanwhile, this paper provides basic principles of data cleaning and discusses the typical features of various anomalies. Furthermore, the optimization strategies of the feature space selection based on artificial experience are also highlighted.

  • There are many methods to assemble various parts of a product, and one of them is the bolting system widely used in a industrial field due to the merits; easiness to obtain strong tightening force, simplicity of assemble or disassemble in order to repair, substitution or cleaning, and so on. But this bolting system needs attachments not to let a bolt loose and they are an important factor to cost a great deal. In this study, some equations are suggested and FE analyses are carried out to verify the cause of the bolt looseness occurring in the tightening process. And because the number of bolts in the bolting system has been decided by empirical know-how of designers in the field, safety rate in the plate type heat exchanger is often too high. Therefore the equations to decrease in quantity are suggested in consideration of the relationship between a critical shearing force acting on the screw and a normal force acting on the cooling plate by the working fluid.

  • The objectives of this study were to investigate the effects of mordants and dyeing: on the dyeability and color fastness of the fabrics dyed with the extract from Turmeric. The following results were drawn from the data obtained. 1. The wavelengths of the strongest absorption band of Turmeric extract were 400 nm respectively and the wavelengths were 440 nm after the mordants were added in the color extract. The bands of Turmeric extract shifted to long wave length side as pH increased. In all cases, the abosorbancies were increased as pH increased. 2. The main color substance in extract from Turmeric were expected to be curcumin respectively by spectrophotometric and HPLC studies. 3. As to the concentration of color extract for dyeing, about 20 g/L was the optimum concentration to dye silk and cotton fabrics with extract. 4. The K/S values of dyed fabrics were increased gradually as the concentration of mordants increased, and the highest K/S values were obtained at 5∼10%. When using the mordanting methods, silk fabric by premordanting and cotton fabric by premordanting and synmordanting had influenced upon K/S valse. 5. The color fastness of fabrics dyed with Turmeric extract against dry cleaning, washing, rubbing and perspiration was improved 1 level or so but light fastness was remained.

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to assess rates for handwashing adherence before and after nursing contact in intensive care units (ICU). Methods: The participants included 90 nurses working in intensive care units of an 800-bed university-affiliated hospital in Gyeonggi Province and 2000-bed university-affiliated hospital in Seoul. Time for handwashing was calculated using the average number of handwashings during an 8-hour day shift. Nursing contact was based on indications as defined by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC, 2002). Data were analyzed using frequency, percent, t-test and ${\chi}^2$-test. Results: During an 8-hour day shift, the average number of times that hands were washed was 25.0. The rates were significantly lower before the nursing contact than after the nursing contact when it involved sectioning, observation or contact with a wound, cleaning enteric feeding bag, physical exam, use of gloves, or contact with contaminants. Conclusions: The results indicate that as handwashing rates were significantly lower before nursing contacts than after nursing contacts, there is need to develop strategies to address this deficiency in handwashing.

  • The purpose of the study was to evaluate the perception of importance about HACCP guidelines of dietitians. A questionnaire was developed to achieve research objectives and sent to random samples of 500 dietitians by a mail ; 418(84%) responses were analyzed. The respondents used three-point-scale to rate their perception of importance about HACCP from 1-"will be necessary" to 3-"very important". All statistical analyses were conducted using SAS package(version 8.12) for Windows. Means and standard deviations were computed for all variables. One-way analysis of variance and Duncan's multiple range test were used to assess differences in the perception of importance about HACCP guidelines among business and industry, health care and school foodservice managers. The study results were summarized as follows. Dietitians especially had lower perception of importance on the contents of Critical Control Points(CCPs), such as; adequate thawing methods and keeping records(1.95) and correct cleaning and sterilizing for raw vegetables and fruits(1.93). The rates of perception of importance about HACCP guidelines were significantly different from 19 of the 37 contents among business and industry, health care and school foodservice(p<.05 or p<.01 or p<.001). Generally, the item related to purchasing and inspection management had the highest perception level score and the item related to pre-preparation management had the lowest perception level score in foodservice production process(p<.001). Results indicate that there is a need for increased education of dietitians about HACCP principles and appropriate practices.
