다문화 교육을 위한 교육용 콘텐츠 분석 및 개선방안 (A study of Analysis and Improvement measures of Educational contents for Multi-cultural Education)

  • 다문화가정 아동들은 학습 부진 및 학습 결손의 누적으로 이미 심각한 교육격차 문제를 안고 있다. 다문화가정 아동을 위해 수준별 교육이 반드시 필요하지만, 교육현장에서는 다문화가정 아동만을 위해 역량을 집중하기 어려운 현실이다. 이를 위해 수준별 개별 학습에 적합한 교육용 콘텐츠를 다문화가정 아동지도에 필요하나, 다문화가정 아동을 위한 교육용 콘텐츠를 새로 개발하면 예산과 시간이 많이 필요하게 되므로 기존의 교육용 콘텐츠를 다문화 가정 아동도 활용할 수 있도록 개선이 필요하다. 그러므로 본 논문에서는 교육용 콘텐츠 평가도구를 기반으로 다문화가정 아동을 위한 교육용 콘텐츠 적절성 평가도구를 개발하여, 사이버가정학습 4~6학년 국어 콘텐츠를 평가해보고 개선방안을 제시하고자 한다.

  • 협동적 웹기반 학습이란 웹을 매개로 학생들이 동료 학생, 전문가, 교수, 지역사회 인사, 다른 기관의 연구원 등과 함께 학습을 하는 것이다. 본 논문은 점차 활성화되어 가고 있는 협동적 웹기반 학습에서 학습자들을 공정하고 공평하게 평가하기 위한 도구를 제안하는 것을 목표로 하고 있다. 결국, 공정한 평가를 통하여 협동적 웹기반 학습이 가상공간에서도 체계적으로 원활히 이루어질 수 있도록 유도하고자 한다. 본 논문에서는 우선 협동적 웹기반 학습이 이루어지기 위한 환경 및 수업 방식을 조사한다. 이를 위해 실제 교실 수업에서는 협동학습 시 어떤 방식으로 학습자들을 평가하는지 조사 분석하고 이를 바탕으로 하여 협동적 웹기반 학습을 위한 학습자 평가 항목을 개발한다. 또한 팀 구성방식과 수업유형을 고려하였을 때 재안한 평가항목 중에서 참여도 측면, 협동성 측면과 개별책무성에 대해 학습자들의 평가사례를 분석한다.

컴퓨터 인터페이스와 센서를 이용한 화학 탐구 실험 연수 프로그램의 실기와 평가 (A Practice and Evaluation of New In-Service Training Program for Science Teachers about Computer Inquiry Experiments Using Interface and Probes in Chemistry)

  • 본 연구에서는 컴퓨터 인터페이스와 센서를 이용하는 화학 탐구 실험 교사연수를 실시한 후 연수 프로그램을 평가하였다. 이 프로그램의 목적은 교사들의 컴퓨터와 프로그램의 사용 능력 개발뿐아니라, 화학 탐구 학습 능력을 배양하고 화학 개념의 이해를 중진시키??위한 것이다. 먼저, 컴퓨터 인터페이스와 여러 가지 센서를 이용하는 10개 실험으로 구성된 연수 프로그램을 9명의 교사를 대상으로 사전 실험을 실시하여 문제점을 보완하였다. 그 다음 27명의 교사를 대상으로 하루에 3시간씩 5일간 연수를 실시하였다.연수 후 프로그램을 평가하기 위한 설문조사를 통해 다음과 같은 결과를 얻었다:(1) 교사들은 내적인 동기를 가지고 자발적으로 참여하였다.(2) 연수의 내용 수준이 적절하였고, 강의의 전문성 및 연수환경 등이 충측되었다.(3) 컴퓨터 활용능력, 화학 개념 이해 및 탐구기능 습득, 탐구 지도 능력의 함양에 대해 모두 긍정적이었다.(4) 대부분의 교사들이 현장에서 컴퓨터와 인터페이스를 이용한 탐구실험의 활용에 긍정적이었다.

  • 본 연구의 목적은 사서교사의 정보활용교육용 교과서인 "도서관과 정보생활"과 중학교 1학년 국어교과를 협동수업을 통해서 운영하고, 협동수업이 학생들의 학습흥미와 학업성취에 어떤 영향을 끼치는지 밝히는 것이다. 연구 결과 학교도서관의 자료를 기반으로 사서교사와 국어교사가 상호 협력하여 공동으로 수업을 계획하고, 전개하며, 평가하는 것은 학생들에게 국어교과에 대한 학습흥미를 촉진시킴으로써 학업성취도 측면에서도 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 학교 교육에서 정보활용교육을 활성화시키기 위해서는 협동수업을 실시할 수 있는 제도적 기반을 마련하는 것이 중요하다. 단위 학교 수준에서는 도서관의 물리적 환경 개선과 충분한 기교재 확충이 필요하다. 또한 정보활용력에 대한 체계적인 지도와 자료 활용을 위한 충분한 수업시간을 확보할 수 있는 탄력형 시간표 편성이 이루어져야 한다.

탐구지향 수학적 모델링에 관한 연구 (A Study of Exploration- Oriented Mathematical Modeling:)

  • Modern society's technological and economical changes require high-level education that involve critical thinking, problem solving, and communication with others. Thus, today's perspective of mathematics and mathematics learning recognizes a potential symbolic relationship between concrete and abstract mathematics. If the problems engage students' interests and aspiration, mathematical problems can serve as a source of their motivation. In addition, if the problems stimulate students'thinking, mathematical problems can also serve as a source of meaning and understanding. From these perspectives, the purpose of my study is to prove that mathematical modeling tasks can provide opportunities for students to attach meanings to mathematical calculations and procedures, and to manipulate symbols so that they may draw out the meanings out of the conclusion to which the symbolic manipulations lead. The review of related literature regarding mathematical modeling and model are performed as a theoretical study. I especially concentrated on the study results of Freudenthal, Fischbein, Lesh, Disessea, Blum, and Niss's model systems. We also investigate the emphasis of mathematising, the classified method of mathematical modeling, and the cognitive nature of mathematical model. And We investigate the purposes of model construction and the instructive meaning of mathematical modeling. In conclusion, we have presented the methods that promote students' effective model construction ability. First, the teaching and the learning begins with problems that reflect reality. Second, if students face problems that have too much or not enough information, they will construct useful models in the process of justifying important conjecture by attempting diverse models. Lastly, the teachers must understand the modeling cycle of the students and evaluate the effectiveness of the models that the students have constructed from their classroom observations, case study, and interaction between the learner and the teacher.

A Qualitative Case Study of an Exemplary Science Teacher's Earth Systems Education Experiences

  • The purposes of this case study were (1) to explore one experienced teacher's views on Earth Systems Education and (2) to describe and document the characteristics of the Earth Systems Education (ESE) curriculum provided by an exemplary middle school science teacher, Dr. J. All the essential pieces of evidence were collected from observations, interviews with the experienced teacher and his eighth grade students, informal conversations, document analysis, and field notes. The $NUD^*IST$ for MS Windows was used for an initial data reduction process and to narrow down the focus of an analysis. All transcriptions and written documents were reviewed carefully and repeatedly to find rich evidence through inductive and content analysis. The findings revealed that ESE provided a conceptual focus and theme for organizing his school curriculum. The curriculum offered opportunities for students to learn relevant local topics and to connect the classroom learning to the real world. The curriculum also played an important role in developing students' value and appreciation of Earth systems and concern for the local environment. His instructional strategies were very compatible with recommendations from a constructivist theory. His major teaching methodology and strategies were hands-on learning, authentic activities-based learning, cooperative learning, project-based learning (e.g., mini-projects), and science field trips. With respect to his views about benefits and difficulties associated with ESE, the most important benefit was that the curriculum provided authentic-based, hands-on activities and made connections between students and everyday life experiences. In addition, he believed that it was not difficult to teach using ESE. However, the lack of time devoted to field trips and a lack of suitable resource materials were obstacles to the implementation of the curriculum. Implications for science education and future research are suggested.

교재원 식물을 활용한 환경놀이 프로그램 개발 및 적용 (Effectiveness of Environmental Play Teaching Program using the Plant in Neighborhood Learning Gardens)

  • The purpose of this research is placed on the development and application of environmental play programs for elementary school students their utilizing the neighborhood learning gardens in their districts to find its effectiveness. The research questions drawn to attain the purpose of the research are as follows. Initially, analyze the contents related to the plant appearing in the textbooks of wise life, science and practical arts of the 7th elementary school curriculum. Secondly, develop a plant utilizing environmental play program targeted towards the 4th grade elementary school students with the results of the textbook analysis as the foundation. Third, apply the plant utilizing environmental play program into the classroom to verify its effectiveness. Based on the conclusion of this research, the following is to be proposed. First, the revitalization of regional environmental education utilizing the various surroundings of the region is essential. Also, the current method of education, which is focused on theoretical knowledge, and being operated in most of the schools need to be changed over to diverse environmental education programs that are linked with the region. For this, an internet based database, information sharing and exchange program centralized around the regional environmental education center needs to be prepared. Moreover, since this research had developed an environmental play program utilizing plants that focused on the 4th grade elementary school students to verify its effectiveness, the development for environmental play programs dealing with various themes for each grades is required. Lastly, although this research has verified the effectiveness in the variables of ecological knowledge, environmental susceptibility, environmental attitude, environmental concern, environmental function and responsible environmental behavior amongst the variables of environmental literacy but there requires a succeeding research considering the variables that haven't been included in this research.

미래 과학교육에 대한 예비 초등 교사들의 인식 (The Perspectives of Pre-service Elementary Teachers on Science Education of Future)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the perspectives of pre-service elementary teachers on science education of future by using Draw-A-Science-Teacher-Test Checklist and open-ended questionnaire. The subjects of this study were 136 pre-service elementary teachers. The results of the research are as follows. The pre-service teachers thought that the physical environment reflecting the latest science and technology for science education will be developed in the future. However, few respondents indicated that student-centered equipment or a free and creative classroom environment would be provided. Second, they predicted that there would be changes in teacher's activities due to the introduction of advanced facilities and equipment, but most of the other teachers' activities were thought to be similar to those of current teachers. Third, the pre-service elementary teachers thought that a variety of new technologies would be used in science education and science teachers would mainly teach high-technology, IT technology, science knowledge, and newly discovered science concepts. In addition, we found that pre-service elementary teachers' images were more 'teacher-centered' than 'student-centered'. These results show that pre-service elementary teachers are expected to utilize the latest science and technology actively in science education in 2030 and that it will lead to changes in the physical environment, teachers' activities, education contents, and teaching and learning methods. In addition, they viewed acquisition of science concept as an important goal of science education in the future and had different points of view from the current science education curriculum and scholars' emphasis on educational research for the future.

전북지역 영양교사의 식생활교육 실태와 연수 요구도 분석 (Operation and Training Demand on Dietary Life Education of Nutrition Teachers in Jeonbuk Province)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the nutrition teachers' operation and demand of dietary life education in Jeonbuk Province. The study was carried out using a self administered questionnaire and the subjects were 190 nutrition teachers. The questions were general characteristics of the subjects, operating status as frequency, place, the main use time, and training demand on dietary life education by elementary school and middle & high school, teaching career, and training hours. The results are as follows. Most of the subjects were female(98.9%), more than half were 40's(52.1%) in their age, school work career was 13.2 years. Frequency of the dietary life education operation was once per month(56.8%), 2~3 times per month(27.9%), and place of education were dinning room (49.7%), classroom(25.9%). Almost of the subjects(90.4%) recognized the facilities for education was lack, 89.3% of them did the education materials was lack, also. The desirable frequency of dietary life education was once per month(48.9%), and once per week(35.3%.) The half of the subjects recognized the objects of the dietary life education was not only students but also their parents and teachers. The proper education time was dietary life education tim (34.2%), discretion activity time(31.1%). Most of the subjects(95.7%) had willing to get training, the proper training program was 30 hours, and they prefer summer vacation(61.0%) than winter vacation(30.5%) and semester(8.6%). Proper experimental practice ratio of environment : health : thanks were 30% : 43% : 27%. It is concluded that the demand of nutrition teachers is necessary for their education program in elementary and middle & high school.

디지털 학습 환경에서의 기초디자인 교육 - 기초디자인 훈련 도구(Basic Graphic Tools)의 개발을 중심으로 - (Experiencing Design Foundation in On-Line Education - By Using The Basic Graphic Tools -)

  • 개인용 컴퓨터와 인터넷의 발달은 교수자와 학습자, 학습자와 학습자의 관계변화를 야기하였으며 대표적으로 전통적인 학습방법으로서의 일대일, 면대면 수업방식은 디지털 기반의 학습모형으로 변화를 죄하고 있다. 이러한 환경의 변화는 새로운 교육 정보로서의 적절한 디자인 도구와 재료의 등장이 교수와 학습, 모두의 입장에서 필요하게 되었음을 의미한다. 본 연구는 디지털 기술 기반에서의 효과적인 기초디자인 수업을 위하여 새로운 형식의 그래픽 툴(Basic Graphic Tools)을 개발하는 데 있다. 전통적인 학습 환경과의 차이는 최소화하면서 디지털 기술에서 가능한 재료와 도구의 다양성을 최대로 이끌어내는 것이다. Basic Graphic Tools(이하 BGTs)는 학생들의 선수 지식 유무와 학습 기술의 편차, 전통적인 훈련 방식과 첨단의 방식이 공존하는 상황에서 학습자에게는 기초디자인 과정에서 요구되는 디자인 원리를 학습하고 시야를 넓힐 수 있는 디지털 디자인 도구로서, 교수자에게는 효율적이고 생산적인 강의를 위한 새로운 교육 도구로 개발되었다. 기초 디자인 훈련프로그램으로서의 BGTs개발과 실험을 통해 새로운 교육 도구로서의 활용 가능성을 살펴보고 기초디자인 교육과정에서 학습자로 하여금 수월성을 갖게 하는 것이다. 기초디자인 학습 툴로서의 신뢰성 향상을 위해 C 대학에 개설된 e강의실을 통해 디자인 작업 일부가 시행되었다. 이를 근거로 Learning Guide/Performance Test가 이루어졌으며 그 결과 매우 높은 사용 가능성을 확보하였고 동시에 추후 연구과제로서 BGTs를 이용한 기초디자인 프로그램의 개발 가능성을 타진하였다.
