With the issuance of the ICH “Guidance for industry S7A Safety Pharmacology Studies For Human Pharmaceuticals” in July 2001 came the preference for the use of unanesthetized animals when evaluation the safety profile of new pharmaceutical agents. Telemetry provides a means of obtaining measurements of physiological functions in conscious animals without the problems associated with classical cardiovascular measuring methods. The Korea Institute of Toxicology (KIT) established the telemetric measurement of cardiovascular parameters, such as Blood pressure, Heart rate, ECG (PR, RR, QRS, QT and QTcB interval) under GLP conditions. Using a combination of nonlocal Eringen as well as classical beam theories, this research explores the thermal buckling of a bidirectional functionally graded nanobeam. The formulations of the presented problem are acquired by means on conserved energy as well as nonlocal theory. The results are obtained via generalized differential quadrature method (GDQM). The mechanical properties of the generated material vary in both axial and lateral directions, two-dimensional functionally graded material (2D-FGM). In nanostructures, porosity gaps are seen as a flaw. Finally, the information gained is used to the creation of small-scale sensors, providing an outstanding overview of nanostructure production history.

This paper proposes a systematic approach for an accurate control of the Terfenol-D actuator taking into account hysteresis, modeled by applying the classical Preisach operator with memory curve. A desired input displacement is calculated by using the hysteresis inverter, which is fed into the actuator. Then the PI compensator corrects the error between the commanded and actual displacements. Experiments with the step responses show that the PI controller settles in 70 ms and the hybrid controller in 20 ms. It means that the concurrent application of two control schemes is effective to control the actuator.

What is the semantic function of visual image in Contemporary art? This article proposes that representation is semantically still important in post-modernism as well as in modernism. The semantic function of representation has been changed by keeping pace with times. In modernism the 'outer representation' changed to 'inner representation', and in postmodernism the 'inner representation' changed to 'metaphorical representation'. The 'outer representation' means that image indicates a certain object or subject as the classical realism. In this case, the meaning of image is subordinate to an object, and a one-to-one correspond existed between the image and the object. Because this 'outer representation' is focused on an object but subject's intention, the indicative function of meaning is definite and singular. The 'inner representation' means that image exposes the fundamentals or process of an object. In this case, the meaning of image resolves itself into an absolute fundamental, and one-to-many correspond existed between the image and the object. Because this 'inner representation' is focused on essence and substance but an external form, the indicative function of meaning is inclusive and general. The 'metaphorical representation' means that image critically relates social constraint and condition as metaphor and allegory. In this case, the meaning of image is not subordinate to an object and a subject, and the image and the object indicate interactively. Because this 'metaphorical representation' is focused on interaction between subject, object, and interpreter, the indicative function of meaning is differant and ecological. This article focused on the representation because I believe that continuous thinking of totality can be opened by cognitive mapping, even though we never understand the world totally in the chaotic post modern age.

본 연구에서는 현장타설말뚝의 지지력에 관한 기존 및 IGM 이론의 적용성을 비교 평가하고, 변위를 고려한 지지력의 결정을 위해 IGM 상단부에서의 기준침하량 결정식을 제안하였다. 제안식은 말뚝의 두부침하량, IGM 상부 토층의 하중전이특성 및 말뚝의 탄성압축 이론에 기초하였다. 특히, 기존 및 IGM 이론의 적용성과 제안식의 적용성을 검증하기 위해 국내외 재하시험 결과를 이용한 분석이 실시되었다. 재하시험 결과를 이용하여 분석한 결과 제안식이 활용된 IGM 이론에 의해 향후 말뚝 설계시 변위를 고려한 지지력의 해석이 가능할 것으로 판단되었다. 특히, 제안식에 도입된 침하보정계수 $k_m$은 지반상태나 하중전이 특성을 반영하는 계수로서 하중 및 변형 증가에 따라 변화하는 특징을 보였다.

This paper proposes the modified image contrast enhancement technique for small-sized display of mobile handset. Sample images are user interface images, in which scaled up wVGA($800{\times}480$) from qVGA($320{\times}240$) that we can see easily in mobile handset. The display size of mobile handset is relatively small, so the goal of this paper is to simplify image contrast enhancement algorithm based on conventional HE (Histogram Equalization) algorithm and improve computational effectiveness to minimize power consumption in real hardware IC. In this paper, we adopt HE technique, which is classical and widely used for image contrast enhancement. At first, the input frame image is partitioned to temporal sub-frames and then analyzes gray level histogram of each sub-frame. In case that the analyzed histogram of some sub-frames deviates so much from reference level (it means that the sub-frame image components consist of too bright ones or dark ones), apply DHE(Dynamic Histogram Equalization) algorithm. In the other case, apply classical Histogram Linearization (or Global HE) algorithm. Also we compare the HE technique with gamma LUT (Look-Up Table) method, which is known as the simplest technique to enhance image contrast.

디지털 테크놀로지의 발달은 디지털화된 이야기의 형식으로 내러티브를 구축하며 의미를 구성한다. 모바일 전용 영화와 같은 영상콘텐츠 역시 디지털 테크놀로지 기반의 내러티브 구조와 의미구성 방식을 따른다. 이 연구는 모바일 전용 영화가 모바일 미디어에 적합하게 기획 및 제작됨으로써 전통적인 내러티브 구조를 확장하고 새로운 의미구성 방식을 제시할 수 있음을 논증하고자 했다. 이를 위해 국내 최초의 모바일 전용 영화라고 할 수 있는 와 <건달과 달걀>을 사건의 인과관계에 따른 의미중복과 시공간 구조의 이중교차를 통한 내러티브 구조의 통합과 응집 과정을 중심으로 분석했다. 연구결과에 의하면, 두 편의 연구대상 모바일 전용 영화는 이야기의 연속성과 일관성을 위해 의미를 응집시켜 통합적으로 내 러티브를 구축하고, 시공간을 등장인물의 주관적 시점에서 이중으로 교차시켜 이동시키는 것으로 나타났다. 이는 곧 모바일 전용 영화의 내러티브 구조와 의미구성 방식이 모바일 미디어에 적합하게 전통적인 영화 고유의 형식을 변형 또는 확장시키는 것이라고 할 수 있다.

본 논문에서는 험로를 주행하는 무인 자동차의 운동을 재현하는 차량 시뮬레이터의 운동큐를 생성함에 있어서 중요한 인자들을 결정할 때 충실한 재현을 위하여 필터를 적용하였다. 그러나 필터의 성능한계와 차량운동을 재현하는 워시아웃 알고리즘의 한계를 극복하기 위한 방안으로 퍼지논리를 이용한 필터의 설계를 하여 실차 실험에 적용하였고 향후의 연구방향을 제시하였다.

Miss Ki, the heroine of (취유부벽정기) is the image on which Hong-saeng's mind is projected. And the mind of Hong-saeng(홍생) is the allegory of Kim, si-seop's(김시습) mind to king Dan-jong. So I think the mind of Ki who thinks patriotism is more important than her life is the allegory of Kim si-seop's patriotic sentiment to king Dan-jong. And I think the sorrow of Hong-saeng for the ruins of Ko-choseon(고조선) means sorrow of Kim, si-seop's(김시습) for the death of Dan-jong's. They felt sorrowful because values that they considered as absolute ones were damaged. However, everything in the world are fatally changed. Although people think the most important thing they think now is never changed, after long time they cannot but see all is changed. At last people realize the thing seemed most important will disappear in vain. So the writer of (취유부벽정기) made a image of Miss Ki who is a nymph of moon and was the princess of Ko-choseon to awaken Hong-saeng. He intended to change hong-saeng's mind to king Dan-jong with the change of Miss Ki's mind to her father. But the writer knew the fact that though Hong-saeng changed his mind, he could not become happy. So he wanted to transcend the real world, but he can't. After all he expressed his wants in fantastic lunar world.

이 글에서는 <계축일기>의 성격에 대한 이해를 심화하기 위해 작품의 역사적 맥락과 작품에 제시된 갈등의 층위, 그리고 갈등의 제시 방식 등을 검토하였다. 작자는 내인들의 갈등과 수난을 상당한 비중을 두어 자세하게 다루고 있다. 이는 작자가 그것을 단순히 광해군과 인목대비의 갈등에서 파생된 부수적인 문제로 파악하고 있지 않다는 것이고, 따라서 광해군과 인목대비에 초점을 맞춰 이 작품을 이해하는 것이 작품의 실상과 거리가 있다는 것을 의미한다. 또한 이 작품에서는 대화를 빈번하게 교체 인용하여 갈등의 첨예함과 심각성을 효과적으로 드러내고, 갈등을 매개하는 인물을 형상화하여 사람의 욕망이 갈등을 어떻게 확대 심화시키는지 구체적으로 제시하고 있으며, 삽화를 나열하여 갈등의 상대방에 대한 비판과 자기들이 겪어야 하는 고통의 부당함을 강조하고 있다. 요컨대 작자는 갈등이 사람들 사이의 문제이고, 사람의 욕망이나 부정적 성격으로 인해 그것이 야기되고, 또 심화되기도 한다는 입장에서 광해군과 인목대비 양측의 갈등을 바라보고 있다고 할 수 있다. 흔히 광해군의 성격과 당시의 역사적 사건을 허구적으로 왜곡 과장한 점을 이 작품의 문제점, 혹은 이 작품을 소설로 보아야 하는 근거로 제시한다. 하지만 그것은 먼저 작자가 당시 상황을 정치나 역사의 관점이 아니라 사람에 초점을 맞춰 파악한 결과로 이해하는 것이 바람직하고, 이 작품의 문학적 성격과 가치도 그러한 점에서 찾아야 할 것으로 생각한다.
