This research presents author co-citation analysis of the subject area in the humanities - Korean history. Three approaches to multivariate analyses were used to display the inter-author relationships in the similarity matrix. Data on co-citation of sixty seven authors for the period of 1980­1989 were extracted from the database constructed by author. The author's name, here refers to a body of writings by a person, is the unit of analysis. The data were subjected to non-metric multidimensional scaling program create two-dimensional map of authors. Authors with similarity are clustered using hierarchical agglomerative procedure and it is found that five clusters in Korean history represent primarily research specializations. Author map of Korean history reveals the first dimension corresponding to subject orientation of authors and the second dimension corresponds to research method or research style. In factor analysis, each factor reflects research specialty made up of authors, and factor locadings demonstrate the breadth or concentration of sixty seven authors' scholarly contributions on Korean history. It is demonstrated that the· specific methodology employed by this research, author co-citation analysis, is useful to represent the intellectual structure of Korean history.

Purpose The opportunities and approaches to big data have grown in various ways in the digital era. Business analytics is nowadays an inevitable strategy for organizations to earn a competitive advantage in order to survive in the challenged environments. The purpose of this study is to analyze the intellectual structure of business analytics literature to have a better insight for the organizations to the field. Design/methodology/approach This research analyzed with the data extracted from the database Web of Science. Total of 427 documents and 23,760 references are inserted into the analysis program CiteSpace. Author co-citation analysis is used to analyze the intellectual structure of the business analytics. We performed clustering analysis, burst detection and timeline analysis with the data. Findings We identified seven sub- areas of business analytics field. The top four sub-areas are "Big Data Analytics Infrastructure", "Performance Management System", "Interactive Exploration", and "Supply Chain Management". We also identified the top 5 references with the strongest citation bursts including Trkman et al.(2010) and Davenport(2006). Through timeline analysis we interpret the clusters that are expected to be the trend subjects in the future. Lastly, limitation and further research suggestion are discussed as concluding remarks.

본 연구에서는 인용 정보를 활용하여, 특허 인용색인의 기법을 분석하고, 이를 바탕으로 새로운 특허지수를 제시하였다. 이를 위해 문헌정보 및 특허정보 관련 인용색인데이터베이스에서 제공하는 인용색인지수를 비교 분석하였다. 특히 JCR의 영향력 지수와 CHI의 기술영향력 지수가 갖고 있는 정보적 가치와 의미를 재해석하였다. 전자는 상대적 인용빈도를 사용하여, 연속간행물과 같은 매체의 가치를 중시하고 있다. 후자의 경우는 특허고유의 가치를 평가하기 때문에, 자체정보만을 중시하고 있다. 이러한 차이점을 극복하기 위해 후자의 경우 해당 특허를 보유하고 있는 기관의 기술영향력 지수를 이용하여 상대적 가치를 재부여하였다. 이를 보완하기 위해 인용정보에 기반하여 다음 특정 특허의 피인용지수를 비롯하여 상대적 반감기 평가지수, 특허기술활용 통합지수 등 세가지의 새로운 지수를 제안하였다. 단 비교분석대상은 출원특허사항에 인용정보를 제시하고 있는 미국 특허정보로 제한하여 국내 특허정보에 대한 비교 분석은 수행하지 못하였다.

인용문헌 분석을 과거 집단적 분석에서 탈피하여 개개 문헌이 갖는 행위를 시간축에 따른 영향력으로 해석하여 단순히 인용 회수가 아닌 인용 체인내에서 문헌의 영향력으로 해석하여 보았다. 영향력 지수는 직접 인용이 되거나 비록 직접 인용은 되지 않았더라도 특정 문헌을 인용한 문헌이 다시 다른 문헌에 의해 인용되어질 경우, 특정 문헌의 영향을 받았다는 체인 구조 내에서의 연결 효과를 설명하고 있다. 실험의 결과는 인용되지 않은 문헌의 grace period를 도입하여 문헌의 수명을 인용 관계 속에서 풀었고 이렇게 살아남아 영향력 지수가 높은 문헌을 하나의 데이터베이스로 서비스 할 경우, 학술지 시장의 활성화와 도서관재정의 압박을 풀 수 있을 것이란 예측을 내놓았다.

최근 다양한 기술분야에서 가속화되고 있는 기술융합은 서로 다른 기술간 지식의 교환을 통해 새로운 기술을 발견하고 이를 기존 기술 영역에 활용함으로써 이루어진다. 특히 지식집약적 기술인 정보통신기술의 경우 기술융합이 활발하게 이루어지고 있으나, 정보통신기술의 지식 확산 경로를 살펴보기 위한 데이터의 부족으로 현재까지 관련 연구가 부족한 상황이다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 한국의 2006년부터 2013년까지 출원된 특허 데이터와 그들의 선행특허들간의 인용관계에 대한 데이터베이스를 구축하고, 이를 통해 특허 인용 네트워크, 기술 인용 네트워크, 출원인 인용 네트워크를 도출함으로써 기술의 지식 확산 경로에 대한 다양한 분석을 실시하였다. 분석결과, 첫째, 기술간 지식 인용에 있어 정보통신기술이 주요한 역할을 수행함을 확인하였으며, 기술인용이 빈번하게 이루어지는 기술관계일수록, 정보통신기술간의 인용일수록 기술 인용에 소요되는 기간이 짧아짐을 확인하였다. 둘째, 대부분 정보통신기술은 다른 정보통신기술 혹은 물리학과 전기분야 기술과의 인용 피인용 관계가 강한 반면, 기본적 전기소자(H01)의 경우, 정보통신기술 이외의 기술과 다양한 인용 피인용 관계를 가지는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 국내법인과 국내자연인간의 상호 기술확산이 강하게 이루어지는 것으로 나타났으며, 국내법인의 특허는 타출원인에 의해 활발히 인용되고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구를 통해 현재 한국의 기술지식 확산경로에 대한 고찰이 가능할 뿐만 아니라, 기술의 성과 측정에서도 유용하게 활용될 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

인용색인은 기본적으로 인용색인과 원문색인(서지부), 순열주제색인의 세 부분으로 구성된다. 이 세가지 기본색인과 다양한 참조기능을 갖는 인용색인을 작성하는 데 필요한 요소를 추출하기 위하여 한국정보관리학회의 정보관리학회지, 제 1권 제 1호(1984)부터 제 15권 제 3호(1998)까지 15년간 총 30호를 분석하였다. 인용색인에 포함되어야 할 필수요소로 저자, 소속기관명, 논문명, 서명 혹은 학술지명, 권호 및 면수, 발행년, 키워드, 본문언어, 주제분야, 참고문헌 통계 데이터 등 10가지의 기본정보를 선정하고 기술형식에 대하여 논의하였다. 또한 국내 학술지의 인용색인시스템을 개발한다는 관점에서 동 학회지의 원저논문 및 참고문헌을 분석하여 해결해야 할 문제와 수록 데이터요소를 제시하였다.

As the improvement of digital technologies increases the use of images from various fields, the domain of image retrieval has evolved and become a growing topic of research in the Library and Information Science field. The purpose of this study is to identify the knowledge structure of the image retrieval domain by using the author co-citation analysis and author bibliographic coupling as analytical tools in order to understand the domain's past and present. The data set for this study is 245 articles with 8,031 cited articles in the field of image retrieval from 1998 to 2013, from the Web of Science citation database. According to the results of author co-citation analysis for the past of the image retrieval domain, our findings demonstrate that the intellectual structure of image retrieval in the LIS field consists of predominantly user-oriented approaches, but also includes some areas influenced by the CBIR area. More specifically, the user-oriented approach contains six specific areas which include image needs, information seeking, image needs and search behavior, image indexing and access, indexing of image collection, and web image search. On the other hand, for CBIR approaches, it contains feature-based image indexing, shape-based indexing, and IR & CBIR. The recent trends of image retrieval based on the results from author bibliographic coupling analysis show that the domain is expanding to emerging areas of medical images, multimedia, ontology- and tag-based indexing which thus reflects a new paradigm of information environment.

Purpose - This research aims to examine collaboration from a disciplinary perspective in Korea. There are needs to explore to what extent researchers collaborate by discipline and across discipline along with the impact of collaboration. Design/methodology/approach - In order to investigate collaboration with respect to entire discipline areas and author-declared discipline information we analyzed a national researcher information database (Korean Researcher Information) with a citation index database (Korean Citation Index) covering the entire range of discipline. This study analyzed the data sets for 10 years (2004-2013) including a total of 8 categories and 119 sub-categories of disciplines, 109,551 researchers, 650,263 articles, and 1,170,039 citations in Korea. Findings - The results demonstrate that there are different intensities of collaboration from heavy to minimal across disciplines. In examining collaboration in terms of author and discipline levels, the results show that collaboration in author level rises, then inter-disciplinary collaboration increases accordingly, in most of the 119 discipline sub-categories. A number of disciplines, however, tended to collaborate more intensely within their own rather than with other disciplines. Moreover, the impact of collaboration tended to change over time depending on the types of collaboration. Specifically, inter-disciplinary collaboration was likely to have more immediate impact as pioneer research, especially among more than three disciplines, whereas the impact of intra-disciplinary collaboration is higher as time passes. Originality/value - In this research, a disciplinary investigation on collaboration is conducted for the entire range of disciplines in Korea. Through analyzing distinctive author-declared discipline information from the KRI, this research examines the intensities of collaboration across disciplines, collaboration in author level, and the impact of collaboration.

데이터 학술지와 데이터 논문이 오픈과학 패러다임에서 데이터 공유와 재이용이라는 학술활동이 등장하여 지속적으로 성장하고 있다. 본 논문은 영향력있는 다학제적 분야의 데이터 학술지인 Scientific Data에 게제된 총 713건의 논문을 대상으로 저자, 인용, 주제분야 측면을 분석하였다. 그 결과 저자의 주된 주제 영역은 생명공학, 물리학 등으로 나타났으며, 공저자 수는 평균 12명이다. 공저 형태를 네트워크로 살펴보면, 특정 연구자 그룹이 패쇄적으로 공저활동을 수행하는 것으로 나타났다. 인용의 주제영역을 살펴보면, 데이터 논문 저자의 주제영역과 크게 다르지 않게 나타났으나, 방법론을 주로 다루는 학술지의 인용 비중이 높은 것은 데이터 논문의 특징으로 볼 수 있다. 데이터 논문 저자의 키워드를 사용하여 동시출현단어분석 네트워크로 살펴본 데이터 논문의 주제영역은 생물학이 중심이며, 구체적으로 해양생태, 암, 게놈, 데이터베이스, 기온 등의 세부 주제 영역을 확인할 수 있다. 이러한 결과는 다학제학문 분야를 다루는 데이터 학술지이지만, 데이터 학술지 출간에 관한 논의를 일찍부터 시작해온 생명공학 분야에 집중된 현상을 보여준다.

본 연구에서는 ISA 데이터베이스를 이용해서 국가별 즉, 한국과 일본의 문헌정보학 연구자들의 연구동향을 규명하기 위하여 세계적인 데이터뱅크인 DIALOG에서 운영하는 문헌정보학분야의 대표적인 데이터베이스인, ISA 데이터베이스에 수록된 논문을 대상으로 다각적인 측면에서 분석하였다. 또한 ISA 데이터베이스에 수록된 문헌에서 인용한 문헌을 형태별 / 연도별 및 국내외별로 분석함으로 써 한국과 일본의 문헌정보학 연구자들의 인용형태를 분석하였다. 본 연구는 향후 문헌정보학의 국제화 및 우리 학문의 연구방향을 제시 할 것으로 본다.
